Caves
It was a cold morning for Mars
and he couldn't get through to Venus
who was in the kitchen
loading the dishwasher.
He'd retreated into his cave,
put her in an appropriate box
and was chewing over the
football results of yesterday.
East Ham nil, Redbridge 1
Chelsea 2, Watford 1
She came in, just then
to collect empty mugs.
Just walked into his cave
while he was taking time out.
No by your leave or
manners.
As she bent down
he clocked her bottom,
checked it out thoroughly
and had second thoughts.
Perhaps sulking was just too,
extreme
for the crime of
shrinking his boxer shorts.

The Opal Dream Cave
In an opal dream cave I found a fairy:
Her wings were frailer than flower petals,
Frailer far than snowflakes.
She was not frightened, but poised on my finger,
Then delicately walked into my hand.
I shut the two palms of my hands together
And held her prisoner.
I carried her out of the opal cave,
Then opened my hands.
First she became thistledown,
Then a mote in a sunbeam,
Then--nothing at all.
Empty now is my opal dream cave.

I guess of all my uncles, I liked Uncle Cave Man the best. We called him Uncle Cave Man because he lived in a cave and because sometimes he'd eat one of us. Later on we found out he was a bear.

Cave
Leave me alone it's nothing serious
I'll do it myself
It's got nothing to do with you
And there's nothing that you could do
You can see it and you can almost hear it too
You can almost taste it
It's nothing to do with you
And it's still nothing that you can do
So come in my cave
And I'll burn your heart away
Come in my cave
I'll burn your heart away
Please close your ears
And try to look away
So you never hear a single word I say
And don't ever come my way
Leave me alone
It's nothing serious
I'll do it myself
It's got nothing to do with you
And there's still nothing that you could do
So come in my cave
And I'll burn your heart away
Come in my cave
And arrest me for my mistakes

A strong Bear, a poor cave
A quarrel took place,
Between a tight, narrow cave,
and a huge, black, hairy bear.
the poor cave was afraid of,
her narrowness,
the bear had no fear.
Actually, the bear was
in search of a cave,
where he could spent
his night merrily,
his mission was to hide himself,
by all means, fair or unfair.
The bear begged the shelter,
from the cave to get entered,
but cave denied.
she said, ' I am not wide.
if I take you in,
you may get me in trouble,
every thing mine get in disorder.
how can you stay in me quite?
seek other place to-night.'
The bear snored a loud,
as if, thunders of big cloud.
huge bear tried getting forcibly in,
smiled and said, 'I have to win.
O' poor cave, see my strong body,
look at my height!
I am quite black,
while you are white.
you are unaware of facts,
you are mine, my cave,
you are made for me.
I know, you think yourself too small,
If I enter, you will be torn,
and might get burst,
but it is nothing like this,
surrender yourself
before me silently.
or I will react violently.
the little cave said nothing,
but tried to scape herself,
with all her might.
thrusting the bear out.
Bear so huge, no doubt.
He tried utmost entering forcibly,
getting success a little bit.
until the cave burst,
the bear continued to hit.
At last, a hot bloody stream,
blew out of the cave.
It couldn't itself save.
It was torn and oozing sweat.
the huge bear was running,
in and out very smoothly,
Poor cave, in this struggle,
has become out.
the bear has come first, no doubt.

Three Hours
Three hours from sundown
Jeremy flies
Hoping to keep
The sun from his eyes
East from the city
And down to the cave
In search of a master
In search of a slave.
Three hours from london
Jacomos free
Taking his woes
Down to the sea
In search of a lifetime
To tell when hes home
In search of a story
Thats never been known.
Three hours from speaking
Everyones flown
Not wanting to be
Seen on their own
Three hours is needed
To leave from them all
Three hours to wonder
And three hours to fall.
Three hours from sundown
Jeremy flies
Hoping to keep
The sun from his eyes
East from the city
And down to the cave
In search of a master
In search of a slave.

A Will to Unit Venus and Mars
I have decided to make my will and leave everything that I have to myself.
Mars is scheduled to come on August 27, to stay within 34.65 miles of earth,
Then he shall only return in 2287, by then I might be ready to rebirth,
As for 280 years shall be well enough for two lives thenceforth,
For which I shall save all that I have, as they say I am from Venus,
After all that travelling I shall be back around Earth for Mars to nest our hearth.
I will leave all my poems, love letters and everything else,
All the feelings I have, and all the secrets I have shared,
Please save them to yourself, as for I shall come back to collect.
Don’t waste any time crying as I know time is rare nowadays,
Just go rush and be aware that I won’t have a penny to spare,
I shall save everything for myself because I won’t waste a day,
On August 27 I shall be here ready for Mars,
and on 2,287, back again for we shall have our MAR GRASS.

Ruminations
If there were a cave
That I could wander into
I'd shout your name inside of it
And hear the echo of you.
To have it reverberate loudly
Might drown out my pain,
Pierce my ears, trouble my head
Where thoughts of you remain.
And as it bounced around inside
I'd welcome the chill of the cave.
For I'd know that as I exited it
Maybe my heart could behave.
For I'd find my heart is hollow
Like the cave I'd just been in.
And I'd feel the icy chill again
For your touch is absent from my skin.

Your Cave Of Love
Let me spend te night in your cave of love,
And let me walk through your folding doors;
For i am like a tree floating along the direction of the river of love,
And like the joy of your muse in the time of romance.
Of the words you do speak in your bedroom,
And of the aroma in your cave of love;
So let me surround your city of love with my care,
Because, there is real peace in your dark cave!

Chelsea Walk
I went down to Chelsea Walk
Where the sun doesn't shine at all
And I went looking for something for me
But I came back with nothing at all
Except an old man who could not see
But he said that he knew God
Chelsea Walk
Oh... Chelsea Walk
Oh... Chelsea Walk
Now I've been down to Chelsea Walk
Where the sun just refuses to shine
And I ran back to my little room
And I jumped straight into a bottle of wine
You know I'll be alright for just a day
But tomorrow I must wake
Chelsea Walk
Oh... Chelsea Walk
Oh... Chelsea Walk
Old man I must be on my way
Don't you worry I'm just scared for those who pray
In Chelsea Walk
Oh... Chelsea Walk
Oh... Chelsea Walk
Chelsea Walk...

In Your Cave
in your cave
there is no sun
man-made
or superficial
or whatever
and so darkness
reigns
complete darkness
and when he mentions
about shadows
do not believe him
in your cave
there was complete
silence too
and so when he talked
about a dialogue
between two
speakers
do not ever believe him
in your cave
there was no life ever
and when he talked about
death
and numbness and indifference
that was then when i believed him
and i agreed
that indeed that man has his own name

Touch Me In The Morning
(ron miller/michael masser)
Touch me in the morning
Then just walk away
We dont have tomorrow
But we had yesterday
(hey!)
Wasnt it me who said that
Nothing goods gonna last forever?
And wasnt it me who said
Lets just be glad for the time together?
It mustve been hard to tell me
That youve given all you had to give
I can understand youre feeling that way
Everybodys got their life to live
Well, I can say goodbye in the cold morning light
But I cant watch love die in the warmth of the night
If Ive got to be strong
Dont you know I need to have tonight when youre gone?
till you go I need to lie here and think about
The last time that youll touch me in the morning
Then just close the door
Leave me as you found me, empty like before
(hey!)
Wasnt it yesterday
We used to laugh at the wind behind us?
Didnt we run away and hope
That time wouldnt try to find us (didnt we run)
Didnt we take each other
To a place where no ones ever been?
Yeah, I really need you near me tonight
cause youll never take me there again
Let me watch you go
With the sun in my eyes
Weve seen how love can grow
Now well see how it dies
If Ive got to be strong
Dont you know I need to have tonight when youre gone?
till you go I need to hold you until the time
Your hands reach out and touch me in the morning
(mornings where blue and gold and we could feel one another living)
Then just walk away
(we walked with a dream to hold and we could take what the world was giving)
We dont have tomorrow,
(theres no tomorrow here, theres only love and the time to chase it)
But we had yesterday
(but yesterdays gone my love, theres only now and its time to face it)
Touch me in the morning...

You Were Only Talking...
It's four o'clock in the morning,
No sleep for me this night,
I sit on the cold verandah,
And watch for a chink of light;
The wind howls round about me
The moon's not raised its head,
And you are out there walking,
Walking,
Walking,
And you are out there walking,
When you should have been in bed!
I'm shivering in the darkness,
It's colder than the crypt,
The rain that passed right over
Left puddles, where it dripped
My mind sets off to wonder
Why life should be so grim…
You said that you were talking,
Talking,
Talking,
That you were only talking
When I saw you there with him.
I questioned you on Monday,
I questioned you, and then,
You said that he was funny,
You'd talk with him again.
I said I didn't like it,
It wasn't right somehow,
But you just sat there sulking
Sulking,
Sulking,
You sat and faced me sulking
With a crease across your brow.
You left the house at seven,
You said: 'I won't be late! '
You had to do some shopping
And be with your sister, Kate;
But when I phoned your sister
She said there was no trace,
And now the dawn is breaking
Breaking,
Breaking,
And now the dawn is breaking
Across my tear-lined face.
A sudden light at the corner,
I see he's brought you back,
That one last kiss of the morning
Has turned my vision black,
For I am sat in the darkness
Like a statue, frozen, stone,
With a kitchen knife by the awning,
Awning,
Awning,
And I think you'll still be yawning
When I drive the handle home.

Mars Meets Venus
Thirty something, graduate, green eyes, perfect christian lady
Candlelit dinner, slim female figure, sense of humor, extrovert
Where are you where are you where are you
Lets starts as friends, seeking soulmate, long time relationship
choose life, soul sister, hippy chick, for soul brother blues man
Genuine american frog seeks princess
Someone is perfect for you, when mars meets venus
Do you want to bet your life, they're gotta be perfect for you too
Mars meets venus
New age man shake me up, wild girl, gay guy, romantic gentleman
Indian, long time relationship, beauty with brains

Do you want to bet your life, they are gonna be perfect for you too

Beautiful Yesterday.
Beautiful yesterday
Always comes
With that fairy
Of the sugar plums.
When we are alone
Wishing for things
That are gone.
Diamond rings
Those imposters
Where sunlight once shone,
Twinkle so cheap.
Yet
It is not then
It is now we must keep.
Forever begins at dawn.
Yesterday and tomorrow
Those unreachable twins
Still wait to be born.
Yesterday the fruit
Clung to the vine.
Tomorrow I will quaff
The Holiest wine.
But today is forever!
Just a short minuet.
Tomorrow and yesterday
Those spectres duet.
You and I
From the past carry scars.
Our future lies somewhere
Near Venus or Mars.
Yet
Today we should dance
To those Spanish guitars!
And kiss.
Give a miss.
To tomorrow and yesterday.
Just shadows on the wall.
Two fancy crooks
Best left between pages
Of dusty old books
In the hall.

To The Shadow Of My Own
I remember you my attendant,
You have been with me since I was born;
I recall the moment when I saw you for the first time,
I was appalled thinking you some small agent
From a fairy-land, all time spying me,
Then I ran and ran to leave you behind
But you ran too as fast as I could,
And I exhausted, out of breath fell into the lap
Of my mother where you were no more.
You all the times in my childhood remained with me,
In front, behind or beside. In the morn and eve
You were stretched in lengthwise
And at noon you shrank like a coiled snake.
In the days when I led cattle to the pasture,
In the evening I measured you with my bare feet,
Sometimes you lengthened more than fifty yards.
In my whole life you have been
Imitating me in my modes and manners,
I walked, you walked too; I stopped, you stopped too;
When I sat, you squatted too;
I assumed no one but you were an inseparable figure,
And so I passed my life in the same belief.
Alas! It was my false faith in you,
Now I am being drawn to the dark cave, utterly murky,
You will vanish like a fair-weather friend,
Leaving me behind all alone,
My deeds either good or bad will replace you.
Adieu! My attendant,
See you again hereafter in the celestial world.

Yesterday, When I Was Mad
Yesterday (yesterday yesterday)
Yesterday (yesterday yesterday)
Yesterday (yesterday yesterday) when i was mad
Yesterday (yesterday yesterday) when i was mad
Darling, you were wonderful, you really were quite good
I enjoyed it, though, of course, no one understood
A word of what was going on, they didn't have a clue
They couldn't understand your sense of humour like i do
You're much too kind
I smiled with murder on my mind
Yesterday, when i was mad
And quite prepared to give up everything
Admitting, i don't believe
In anyone's sincerity, and that's what's really got to me
Yesterday (yesterday yesterday)
Yesterday (yesterday yesterday) when i was mad

Maya
Maya this song's for you
I have your name print tattooed upon my skin
There's so much to say to you
And where do I begin?
Cos all these prayers must be going somewhere
Somewhere I can never trace
But it seems so far look in the stars
And the empty space
Chorus:
There are worlds within worlds, that keep rotating
And so many thoughts that flow through my mind
If this universe is really shrinking
We'll be together in time
I had a vision of this place
It looked like heaven but the colours seemed to change
And no matter what I do yeah
It's slowly fading away
So all of these prayers have to be going somewhere
Somewhere I can never trace
And one could get lost in all of these stars
And drift in space
Chorus:
There are worlds within worlds, that keep rotating
And so many thoughts that flow through my mind
If this universe is really shrinking
We'll be together in time
Chorus:
There are worlds within worlds, that keep rotating
And so many thoughts that flow through my mind
If this universe is really shrinking
We'll be together in time
Chorus:
There are worlds within worlds, that keep rotating
And so many thoughts that flow through my mind
If this universe is really shrinking
We'll be together in time

The First Tooth
There once was a wood, and a very thick wood,
So thick that to walk was as much as you could;
But a sunbeam got in, and the trees understood.
I went to this wood, at the end of the snows,
And as I was walking I saw a primrose;
Only one! Shall I show you the place where it grows?
There once was a house, and a very dark house,
As dark, I believe, as the hole of a mouse,
Or a tree in my wood, at the thick of the boughs.
I went to this house, and I searched it aright,
I opened the chambers, and I found a light;
Only one! Shall I show you this little lamp bright?
There once was a cave, and this very dark cave
One day took a gift from an incoming wave;
And I made up my mind to know what the sea gave.
I took a lit torch, I walked round the ness
When the water was lowest; and in a recess
In my cave was a jewel. Will nobody guess?
O there was a baby, he sat on my knee,
With a pearl in his mouth that was precious to me,
His little dark mouth like my cave of the sea!
I said to my heart, "And my jewel is bright!
He blooms like a primrose! He shines like a light!"
Put your hand in his mouth! Do you feel? He can bite!

A distant universe
dark as cave
we walk inside
yet is outside
there is a man
spiritual they say
filling the cave with
his chants
you walk the
lighted lane
they call common
sense
the darkness
holds over you
like a distant
universe, a
boundless part
you fear to tread
it exists like the
unreachable stars
so far away you never
even give it a thought
day after day
we walk the lane
a corner of the great cave
waiting for the man
to come out to light things up
with his halo and
enlightenment
there is a
distant universe
in the space of our brain
we all fear to tread
we walk inside
yet are all outside
a physique that helps
map every step we take
this cave that is all God
inside and outside
