The Shaping Of These Pots Of Mud

friend, we still decide
what we become
though what we are
is shaped by
them
there is a time when
we awake and have the sharpness
in our senses
we sculpt a face a body
we articulate a soul
we use this will and we will it
we become because
we like to be
there are things-in-themselves
within-themselves
that grow and become parts of us
but that is not all
neither is it the end of something hopeless
our hands shape the pot
our mouths say the words
at this point
let us say
we are fulfilled.

Shape Me Like A Man

Spark my body into existence
Breath your life into me
Fill these eyes with temptation
Work your mystery
Make me in the image you desire
Raise me up from the earth
Let me be your creation
Women, give me birth
Take me in your hands
And shape me like a man
Shape me like a man
Put this broken body in motion
With a strong and natural drive
Fill my flesh with sensation
Women let me know Im alive
Take me in your hands
And shape me like a man
Shape me like a man
Like a man
Shape me like a man
Like a man
Shape me like a man
Like a man
Take me in your hands
And shape me like a man
Like a man
Shape me like a man
Like a man

Did Anyone Approach You

You never look up
You never look back
You never say anything based on fact
Youve got issues going way back
You never say hi
You never say much
You never make an effort to stay in touch
Ive got this feeling something happened here
Something happened here
Did anybody feel you?
Did anybody deal you?
Did anybody make you do some things now?
Did anyone approach you?
Did anybody coach you?
Did anybody tell you what to say now?
Hopeless - its not hopeless
Doubtful - but not hopeless at all
You never looked up
You never look back
You never did anything in between
Are things black and white with you
You never believed
You never belonged
Never made milestones to call your own
Ive got this feeling something happened here
Something happened here
Did anybody hide you?
Did anybody fight you?
Did anyone decide to do some harm now?
Did anybody read you?
Did anybody bleed you?
Did anybody feed you lots of junk now?
Hopeless - its not hopeless
Doubtful - but not hopeless
Hopeless - its not hopeless
Doubtful - but not hopeless at all
Hopeless - its not hopeless
Doubtful - but not hopeless at all
Something happened here

Accepting Things Are They Are

when i was new in this place
i like seeing and staring at things
and think about how to make them more beautiful
on the way i want them changed
from my one
point-of-view and so if something is so short
i try stretching them
even if there is pain and i always think that
all things are flexible and that with a little
retouching
they then fit as i see it fit.

there were storms. There were instabilities
there were unnecessary silences
and there were times when i was forced
to keep my mouth shut
and hide myself in a dark room
and sleep and let time pass by
like some moments
that i do not like to remember
that i like to throw up
and then mumble and then
surrender like a defeated soldier.

and then there is this subsiding
there are tiny waves, gentle winds, and
restive sands, and moments
of solitude

this may be nearer to an end
but look, we arrive at the point to accept things as they are
that changes are shaped like pointless objects
and blunt as they are
we do not want them sharpened
because sharpness has no use at all
to all these blunt happenings.

things appear and they talk and we listen.
we shake their hands. we know they are strangers.
we let them in and seep like rain to our sponges.

we no longer shake our shoulders. we listen.
i do not know if i really smiled when i first confronted them.
they are here. and as you tell me, i agree, i make most
of what is here. This is my best form and i am showing it now.

Shape Of Things To Come

Magic, logic
The system works, but not for me
Look beyond the nearest moment
And youll see
The shape of things to come
Somewhere deep in the city
I can feel you I know youre here
Baby, Im just a pussy-cat
But not a one that you should fear
One, two, always love you
One, two, move up above you
Two, two, right in the face
Yes sir, no sir, three bags full so
The shape of things to come
The shape of things to come
Let me get you outta here
Tragic, logic
The system hurts, but not for me
I look beyond the farest moment
And I say
The shape of things to come
The shape of things to come
The shape of things to come
The shape of things to come
The shape of things to come
The shape of things to come
The shape of things to come
Somewhere deep in the system
I can see you but youre not clear
A simple case of error correction
Come on baby, get your ass in gear
One, two, always love you
One, two, move up above you
Two, two, right in the face
Of sir, no sir, three bags full so
The shape of things to come
Let me get your outta here
The shape of things to come
Look into my eyes and Ill make your day
The shape of things to come
Good things, great things, all just same things
The shape of things to come
The shape of things to come

Life Just Knocks Me Down

Some days I feel that 'life' just knocks me down,
Those harsh words said, your sharpness and your frown,
Remembering these things, what is the answer - how
Can I shake off those hurting actions now,
With each one forever chipping at my soul,
Sending me deep into this consuming hole
That I have carved into my life, when you
Departed for some other avenue.

I face this question with each day I greet,
How can I stay so upright on my feet,
When with a heavy heart, I try to face
The realisation that I must replace
You with another, Oh, how hard a task
For such as I, who hides behind a mask
With shattered thoughts I try hard to conceal.
Like an actor playing parts that are not real.

The Anonymous....

when i look at you for
a long time
i feel pity for you

somehow you do not
deserve this
i am at a loss of words
i want to tell you
everything

you are always silent
and i like you for that

and then i look at myself
a very long searching gaze
and there is anger there

somehow i must have done
you
injustice, and the pity expands
like an oil pollution spilling to the
ocean

many innocent birds suffer
and waddle in
the helplessness of their
situation

i want to be away from you
to pull you out from me
but that is impossible because

you are myself

you are in me
and i am in you

we are one and somehow
we are beginning to be a dichotomy of
two words

it is not the either or of the
situation
it is the immersion of an
impossibility of
a separation

i am you and
you are i,

no one has ever escaped on this
phenomenon
not even in the syntax of
our human grammar
our way of using words as
forms of liberation

or escape the way they tell us
that you and i
can be free in some unknown

or undiscovered formulation

i look at you with pity
and you look at me with anger

the two blend together
in the inevitable acceptance of who we
really are

we are one
in two mouths

our hands remain
a pair of
helpless parts

two people are talking
within
this one soul one body

anonymous.

Gestalt....

is it the shape?
the shape of your face, your heart,
is it just the shape, of your body, the color of your hair,
the kinkiness of your eyes,
is it just the shape of the bowl that matters to you?

what about the contents of the
bowl, or if it is empty, what about the air that fills it somehow?
do you see it? no you don't, so

it is not just the shape, neither just the parts,
or the whole, there is something more in shapes and colors
and

even contents,

there is the will that bends everything
to mercy
there is the decision that convinces us all
to be one, this sympathy,

that empathy, that belief that i cannot live
without you,
that someone dies when someone leaves,
that life is better with us
in all these,

that there is life after our deaths,
there is this
unseen coming, this one that we want to
grasp yet
because we think we failed.

Return

Now its years since your body went flat and even memories of that
are all think and dull, all gravel and glass. But who needs them
now -- displaced they're easily more safe --
the worst of it now: I can't remember your face.
Return.
For a while, with the vertigo cured, we were alive -- we were pure.
The void took the shape of all that you were, but years take their toll,
and things get bent into shape...
Antiseptic and tired, I can't remember your face.
Return.
You were supposed to grow old. Reckless, unfrightened, and old,
you were supposed to grow old.
Return. You were supposed to return.

The Supreme Soul

In awakeness,
I was there,
My mind was there,
My body was there,

In my dreams,
I was there,
My mind was there,
But my body was lost.

In my deep sleep,
I was there,
But I lost the mind,
So do I lost my body.

In my state beyond,
In the depth of my sleep,
I never sleep,
Nor did I awake,
It was a state,
Of no movement,
No dreams,
And no thinking!
I was without knowledge,
But I was the knowledge,
I was the illumination,
Of the supreme soul,
With whom I parted
On my birth.
I lost my memory,
Of my parent soul
But for the active
Five senses
Of my body,
The gift of the supreme soul!
I attained him,
When I lost the senses,
When I lost the earthly bond
When I lost the turbulations,
Of the earthly passions!
In union with him
The supreme soul
I lost my self,
And my soul,
Melted and immersed
With the supreme soul!

Open Secrets

Words by neil peart, music by geddy lee and alex lifeson
It went right by me --
At the time it went over my head
I was looking out the window
I should have looked
At your face instead
It went right by me --
Just another wall
There should have been a moment
When we let our barriers fall
I never meant
What youre thinking --
That is not what I meant at all...
Well I guess we all
Have these feelings
We cant leave unreconciled
Some of them burned on our ceilings
Some of them learned as a child
The things that were concealing
Will never let us grow
Time will do its healing
Youve got to let it go
Closed for my protection --
Open to your scorn
Between these two directions
My heart is sometimes torn
I lie awake with my secrets
Spinning around my head
Something that somehow
Escaped me --
Something you shouldnt have said
I was looking out the window
I should have looked
At your face instead...
I find no absolution
In my rational point of view
Maybe some things are instinctive
But theres one thing you could do
You could try to understand me --
I could try to understand you...

Liturgy....

liturgy....
black coffee,
old hands opening boxes.
sweeping the floor
of the soul.
words shaped like photographs
made of wind and tears.
simple things...
simple doings!

the same shovel
digs the grave,
digs in the garden.
barefoot,
and half naked,
no need for words,
no fears to console.
live without regrets,
leave it all on the table.
do the work, and move on.

dont be the hollow religious image,
a body that has no love,
a love that has no body.
dont be so quick to wash your hands,
the dirt neath your nails
is your heritage!
liturgy...
black coffee,
and touching,
the shovel, and the axe!

To One in Allienation

I
Last night I saw you decked to meet
The coming of those most reluctant feet:
The little bonnet that you wear
When you would fain, for his sake, be more fair;
The primrose ribbons that so grace
The perfect pallor of your face;
The dark gown folded back about the throat,
And folds of lacework that denote
All that beneath them, just beneath them, lies:
God, for his eyes!

So the man came and took you; and we lay
So near and yet so far away,
You in his arms, awake for joy, and I
Awake for very misery,
Cursing a sleepless brain that would but scrawl
Your image on the aching wall,
That would but pang me with the sense
Of that most sweet accursed violence
Of lovers' hands that weary to caress
(Those hands!) your unforbidden loveliness.

And with the dawn that vision came again
To an unrested and recurrent brain:
To think your body, warm and white,
Lay in his arms all night;
That it was given him to surprise,
With those unhallowed eyes,
The secrets of your beauty, hid from me,
That I may never (may I never?) see:
I who adore you, he who finds in you
(Poor child!) a half-forgotten point of view.
II
As I lay on the stranger's bed,
And clasped the stranger-woman I had hired,
Desiring only memory dead
Of all that I had once desired;

It was then that I wholly knew
How dearly I had loved you, my lost friend;
While I am I, and you are you,
How I must love you to the end.

For I lay in her arms awake,
Awake and cursing the indifferent night,
That ebbed so slowly, for your sake,
My heart's desire, my soul's delight;

For I lay in her arms awake,
Awake in such a solitude of shame,
That when I kissed her, for your sake,
My lips were sobbing on your name.

Diamonds Are A Girls Best Friend

(leo robin/jule styne)
A kiss on the hand may be quite continental
But diamonds are a girls best friend
A kiss may be grand but it wont pay the rental
On your humble flat or help you at the automat
Men grow cold as girls grow old
We all lose our charm in the end
But square cut or pear shape
These rocks dont lose their shape
Diamonds are a girls best friend
Yeah diamonds are a girls best friend
Lets rock
There may come a time when a lass needs a lawyer
Diamonds are a girls best friend
There may come a time when a hardboiled employer
Thinks youre awful nice, but get that ice or else no dice
Hes your guy when stocks are high
But beware when they start to descend
Its then that those spouses
And diamonds are a girls best friend
Diamonds are a girls best friend
Yeah diamonds are a girls best friend
Lets rock again
Diamonds are a girls best friend
Diamonds are a girls best friend
Diamonds are a girls best friend
Diamonds are a girls best friend

Erotic Scene pt 2

Our fantasie start breathin the
moment our lips touches each
others, bed full of roses as the
ships flows on the atlantic ocean we
flow on it.Candle light dance to
the fresh air, our hands oiling
our body, her tongue find it way
on my body, emotion finds it way
through the door of our hearts
and it grow stronght towards
the sky. The scent that knows our
body fill the room to brim, fast and
with courage we battle each other
to get to the top, the words of
pressure sink out of our mouths
wowooo we are back.

Blake said that the body was the soul's prison unless the five senses are fully developed and open. He considered the senses the 'windows of the soul.' When sex involves all the senses intensely, it can be like a mystical experence.

Shake Hands With The Devil

I know some people say that Im the devil in disguise,
I wont try to tell you that I aint.
I dont like believing that Im evil in your eyes,
But I aint make believing Im a saint,
cause Ill do anything I can to win you from the world,
Its something that my senses cant control.
And if thats sin then shake hands with the devil, little girl,
I want your body and your soul.
Chorus:
Shake hands with the devil, dont be frightened, I wont hurt you.
I dont want your silver or your gold.
Im not after anything that you dont want to give me,
I just want your body and your soul.
Other men can offer something peaceful and secure,
I cant offer anything but me.
I can take you higher than youve ever been before
And show you things you never dared to see.
And hand in hand together we can laugh the world away,
Ill keep you from the hunger and the cold.
So let your love come easy, you dont need to be afraid,
I just want your body and your soul.
Chorus:
Shake hands with the devil ...

Poem of Child 1

Wondering at the world,
Feeling the soft touch of hands,
And warmth of her breast,
Smelling her fragrance,
Hearing beloved mother's voice
I opened my eyes!

Wonderful was that first sight,
Where then I found father, brothers and sisters,
Where I was before these people found me?

unknown I was, may be a traveller,
Or may be some charged cosmic ray,
May I am here million times,
Each time not lucky to know parents,
Sometimes came out egg breaking shells,
May Sometime breaking seedcoat,
Lifting my head above ground,
Germinating plant or may be as a magot in fruit,
However I am lucky this time,
Where I can know myself,
Seeing my face at least in mirror,
This time feeling more love,
More hopes,
Learning languages and knowledge of ages,
I grow with smile, smile on face of others
on my thoughts and deeds,
Words and thoughts,
Smile grew on Face of my parents with my growth!

Mastering senses one by one,
Mastering legs and hands,
Mastering own mind step by step,
I move here with time and space,
I had to adjust with this clock and distance,
Yes each evrytime I have to adjust to the clock,
My body clock to be synchronized everytime!

El ...

there is something
in your smile
that hinges beyond
the shape of your
body
your arms
sculpt me
into human
form again
for years i
have been
turned into
a big
stone

god of the
walls
pillar of
my gods

when i look
at you
the world
blooms
into a flower

it is this want
and need

but reason is
a sword
that hits
from one side
of my body
to the other

i do not surrender
i am on my wings now
i am flying away
and you feel nothing
about my leaving

nothing's changed
your world is still
sea, sky, land.

Pulling myself together for M'lady Ann Beard

In dreams I can communicate
with disparate parts of me.
I’m learning to appreciate.
The frightening complexity

Of the different parts of me.
Which I must balance constantly
A task I must face every day
so they combine to make me, me..

I am a father and a son.
I am a brother and a friend.
The endless list goes on and on.
It seems as though it has no end.

Somehow I manage to control
at least the parts on public view.
The scattered parts which make the whole
But still conceal a thing or two.

The parts of me I need to change.
I’m sure I can do given time.
Some parts of me are weird and strange.
Like creatures from an earlier time.

The Id tries to assert its will.
The ego sure to disagree.
The super ego bids them both be still.
I just accept they’re part of me.

When other people look at me.
I wonder if they wonder too
If they can see reality.
I am not certain that I do.

One Part Lullaby

Life is one part lullaby, two parts fear c oscar wilde
One part lullaby, two parts fear
Another animal mixing with the atmosphere
It takes forever to learn to pretend
Nature is the enemy, weather is not your friend
Who can be trusted?
With perfect weather inside
Look for magic in the daily routine
Its all it takes to survive
Leaving heaven below
Go wherever the angels follow
Im watching my body and mind divide
Why live for a future that never arrives on time?
I cant be trusted, Im dust in the wind
I let he weather decide where my day begins
Im not a rebel of the natural one
Im in love with the chemical
Following the setting sun
Lost my patience
All that it takes to survive
Watching my mind and my body divide
Why live for a future that never arrives on time?
Leaving heaven below
Go wherever the angels follow
