Air, space, timelessness
on the other hand, there are other reasons,
on the other side of this mountain or that river
there are other explanations, sublimation, suppositions,
non-exhaustible tires of juxtapositions, some more, i will attempt
to understand from behind all these fog and frost.
on the other hand, i still have myself, there are losses for sure,
a face, a privilege, a position, a classification, a category,
lower, lower, lovers, losers, you cry out, it is foul and doleful.
But, there is still myself looking, finding, trying, to withstand
the whims of your winds, the batteries of your barbs, and
well, it is swell i suppose so, but there is still my soul
intact, and no matter how many shells and rockets bombard
my body on the hills of hell, there is still myself, a core.
unbent spirit, still shaped to the face of God.

My eyes convinced, eclipsed with the younger moon attained with love.
It changed as almost strained amidst clear manna from above.
I crucified my hate and held the word within my hand.
Theres you, the time, the logic, or the reasons we dont understand.
Sad courage claimed the victims standing still for all to see,
As armoured movers took approached to overlook the sea.
There since the cord, the license, or the reasons we understood will be.
Down at the edge, close by a river.
Close to the edge, round by the corner.

Sudden problems shouldnt take away the startled memory.

For mum.
Last night when I just couldn't sleep,
My Duaghter's voice I did hear so loud and clear
I opened my eyes and had a glance around,
But she did not appear she didn't show herself to me.
She said: Please mum You've got to listen.
You've got to try and understand;
God Hasn't taken me from you,
He only took my hand.
When I cried out in pain that fatful night,
It was in that instant that I did die.
He reached down and took my hand,
And brought me to his side.
He pulled me up and saved my ragged soul,
From the misery and pain.
My body was hurt so badly inside
He knew that if I tried to live on in this world
I Would never be the same.
My search is well and truly over now,
I've found happiness at the close of day.
My body's gone forever, my spirit will never die!
So you need to go and live on now,
please understand,
God didn't take me from you,
He only took my hand.

Sea-Shells
I gathered shells upon the sand,
Each shell a little perfect thing,
So frail, yet potent to withstand
The mountain-waves' wild buffeting.
Through storms no ship could dare to brave
The little shells float lightly, save
All that they might have lost of fine
Shape and soft colour crystalline.
Yet I amid the world's wild surge
Doubt if my soul can face the strife,
The waves of circumstance that urge
That slight ship on the rocks of life.

I watched him throw his oatmeal bowl
Halfway across the kitchen floor
His momma said dont let me see you do that anymore
And he let loose with a cup of orange juice
Right down the back of her dress
Without a doubt she lined him out

Soul
tonight how can i be alone
with my soul immersed
inside a matter of not having
to point the edge where substance
begins where ether ends
mesh and mash and wires and
trenches
the body feels a fenced property

Her Last Breath
You had six months to live
Not three weeks
You lay here motionless
Thinking of what to say
I stand beside you
Day and night
Wishing it could go away

And said her life was good

The Book Of Life Was Opened
The Book of Life was opened
And a name was written down
All of heaven stood and gazed
Not a movement, not a sound
The angels watched in silence
As the story did unfold
And from the pages of the book
The story it was told
And life sprung up from off the page
These words became a man
The angels gasped to see such work
To see God's mighty plan
A soul was fashioned in His hand
And how, no one could tell
It was marvelous and wonderful
And this my soul knows well
Where could I go from you Spirit Lord?
Could I hide in the depths of the sea?
No matter where I run to Lord
You still come after me
I could take the wings of the morning
And fly into the darkest night
And there be blinded by the darkness
