the house that Tiago and Konsay left
when finally Tiago and Konsay decided to split
they left the house that they once built
by the sea
since then, when time passed
the windows become the eyes of the blind man begging
the doors refused to open to any passerby,
the hinges accumulated rust until they turned to dust
due to extreme coldness and loneliness
the clouds there turned into big black birds
that like the wind simply come and go passing through
the blind dark windows

In This House
in this house
where you've been
what you've seen
were the windows
in this house
where you've been
what you've seen
were the doors
in this house
where you've sat
what you ate
was your food
in this house
where you've sat
what you ate
was the word
in this house
where you stood
what you could
something say
in this house
you could open
windows doors clapping wings
in this house
you could open
soul that heaven upward sings

She Brought Them All Kindly To Her Grave
of course i know what coldness is
apart from something that is cool
when mother died her hands were extremely cold
for my hold
i let them go
there was no sadness
there was that happiness of letting her rest
and giving myself a little space
for tomorrow
when coldness comes again in an empty room
with open windows
i know not what panic shall be
my hands are extremely cold these days
when i kiss them
my lips become frozen
they break like glasses
i cannot speak
there is no way that my tongue shall give in to
words
it cannot face coldness in the mirror
of my face
since you ask and you demand an explanation i open my hands
and i let your hands touch them
i cannot speak i am afraid i will be cruel
you must hold these extreme coldness for a long time
so you can all let them go
like white birds against a dark sky
so you can also experience what happiness
i had when i let go off
mama's fears
when mama closed her eyes
because what was important she knew
need not be said anymore
she brought them all kindly to her grave

All Hallows Even
Some people swore that the house was haunted
Rarely seen during bright sunlight
It was a case of a ghost that flaunted
Felines and weak constitutions given fright
Creaky doors and windows black
These gave the house old ailments and distrust
Inside floors wait, interior cracks
While the hinges, nails, fixtures red-rust
Dusk does play its fancy lace up under the rafters
Dark winds blowing and shadows lurk
Offering tricks of bleak disaster
The house cat-naps restless in the murk
Some People swore that the house was haunted
A fall winter's breeze did come to haunt
A frayed lace curtain was better the fact
Nothing was ever the same after that
Hidden Drive
there's a dirty house that's falling apart
some want to fix it but they don't know where to start
there's cobwebs and cracks in the walls
this is where rain's relief dares not to fall
no one really cares to help this place
they just look at the face
this old house is kept inside
with a disguising shell to hide
something i noticed as i passed by
at the house where hope will die
the windows were clean and new
though everywhere else the weeds grew
the windows had such an allure
i couldn't take it anymore
i gazed at the windows in awe
then through them i saw
the messy, run-down house inside
where beauty died
then i realized
something about eyes
eyes are the windows
clean and lovely for show
but behind them is the soul
sometimes your eyes will fool
the beauty and shine will not last
for one day, someone will see past.

On a Brisk Summer Evening
On a brisk summer evening,
I was sitting on my couch,
Watching the television
With my windows open.
Distracted for a bit,
I turned my head to look
Upon the clouds,
Noticing a flock of jets
Stream through the sky,
Leaving clouded fumes
In their passing,
Looking like comets
Trailing down the horizon
Toward the sunset.
I turned my head back toward the TV,
And I saw the planes again,
Flying over where I had just been looking,
Repeating what I had just seen
With someone else's commentary
And context—
As if I were viewing
Someone else's dream.

Be Windows To Be Shut
Don't open the windows!
Cold air will rush in.
Don't open the windows!
Hot air will blow in.
Don't open the windows!
Mosquitoes are there.
Don't open my history!
Treacheries will snare.
Don't open my memory!
Debaucheries will slip out.
Don't open my very eyes.
I should not be a witness.
Let the windows be shut;
With that the past buried.
Switch on the air-conditioner.
Spray on the bed perfume.
I must enjoy my night
With the world outside shut.

I Left Something Turned On At Home
(billy lawson/john schweers)
Well boys I hate to leave good company
But my baby just called me on the phone
And from the sound of her voice, I simply have no choice
I left something turned on at home
Well I just put a quarter in the jukebox
And it aint halfway through my favorite song
But if I dont leave right now my whole place might burn down
cause I left something turned on at home
It aint the stove, it aint the heater
Shes hotter and a whole lot sweeter
And all day long shes been there alone
Right now her arms are open, the house is probably smokin'
cause I left something turned on at home
Hey waitress could you cancel that order
But if its too late Ill take it to go
Boys I gotta run fore somebody calls 911
cause I left something turned on at home
It aint the stove, it aint the heater
Shes hotter and a whole lot sweeter
And all day long shes been there alone
Right now her arms are open, the house is probably smokin'
cause I left something turned on at home
Right now her arms are open, the house is probably smokin'
cause I left something turned on at home
Yeah I left something turned on at home

Wistfully Watching
They explore the world
through windows,
church windows,
school windows,
two up, two down windows,
castle windows,
large windows,
small windows.
They see it all,
from blameless to guilty,
from noble to treacherous,
through windows.
From skyscraper windows,
to basement flat windows,
from paupers windows,
and palace windows
they watch, absorb, suck it in.
Later when they have grown
they will remember,
try to empathise,
rationalise
decipher the coded metaphors,
but some day
they will be demoralised
by the windows of life.
There they sit __ wistfully watching __
the children
of our times.

Keep Passing The Open Windows (extended 12")
This is the only life for me
Surround myself around my own fantasy
You just gotta be strong and believe in yourself
Forget all the sadness cause love is all you need.
Do you know what it's like to be alone in this world
When you're down and out on your luck and you're a failure
Wake up screaming in the middle of the night
You think it's all been a waste of time
It's been a bad year
You start believing everything's gonna be alright
Next minute you're down and you're flat on your back
A brand new day is beginning
Get that sunny feeling and you're on your way.
Just believe - just keep passing the open windows
Just believe - just keep passing the open windows
Do you know how it feels when you don't have a friend
Without a job and no money to spend
You're a stranger
All you think about is suicide
One of these days you're gonna lose the fight
You better keep out of danger - yeah
That same old feeling just keeps burning deep inside
You keep telling yourself it's gonna be the end
Oh get yourself together
Things are looking better everyday
Just believe - just keep passing the open windows
Just believe - just keep passing the open windows.
This is the only life for me
Surround myself around my own fantasy
You just gotta be strong and believe in yourself
Forget all the sadness cause love is all you need.
You just gotta be strong and believe in yourself
Forget all the sadness cause love is all you need.
Love is all you need - baby - love is all you need.
Just believe - just keep passing the open windows.

You Go Beyond
there comes a time
when you go beyond
praise and censure
when reward or punishment
does not matter
to you anymore more than
a slap or a kiss
you are not dead yet
you simply become a
lotus on the pond
undisturbed by the rain
or sunshine
unperturbed by the mud
beneath you
unamazed by the blueness
of the sky
above you
when you are you because
you are not you
when your eyes do not open
to see
when your heart does not beat
to live
when seasons pass
and you do not know that they are there passing
when you are engulfed by so much openess
when you do not know
if some doors close if some windows soon open
and when there are some more coming and going and leaving
that you know that you do not ever know

If It Is Really Meant For Me....
you say that i should
keep knocking
joy shall soon open
its window
ah, when it is meant really
for me
i need not knock even
even when i am far away
in that dead desert
the house will come running
looking for me
it will open all its five doors
and ten windows
it will let me sit in its
sofa
it will prepare my bed
where i can finally
rest for
the night

Open My Eyes
All I want is written on my face
Youre bound to find something
And all your words that held me into place
Were nothing but lies
Another time I might have watched the things I said
But I cant see
Somebody...
Open my eyes for a little while little while
Make me forget all the things I see
Til then til then dont know what is happening
Til then til then dont care what Ill see
Ill stand and stare until I go blind
Will you open my eyes
Dont mind me
You know me inside out
Thats the way that you left me
And you wont find me
Begging for a chance
To have you burn me again
Another time I might have wasted all my words
To make you see
Somebody...
Open my eyes for a little while little while
Make me forget all the things I see
Til then til then dont know what is happening
Til then til then dont care what Ill see
Ill stand and stare until I go blind
Will you open my eyes?
Another time you might have watched the things I said
Another place you might left me here for dead
Another time...
Somebody...
Open my eyes for a little while little while
Make me forget all the things I see
Til then til then dont know what is happening
Til then til then dont care what Ill see
Ill stand and stare until I go blind
Will you open my eyes?
Oh, Ill stand and stare until I go blind
Will you open my eyes?
Open my eyes
Open my eyes.

No reaches
The heart approaches joy
But never reaches it.
The heart approaches women
But never reaches them.
Women keep their windows open
With doors always shut.
They will shut their windows too
As rainbows in me turn white.
Then I’ll house them in my inn
That I have built in my brain.

Rings Of Gold
Gene thomas
I remember when you said
With this ring I thee wed
Now youve gone betrayed my trust
Rings of gold have turned to rust
Tears cant wash away the sin
Love thats dead cant live again
Knowing theres no hope for us
Turns those rings of gold to rust
Plans we made just yesterday
Sands of time have chipped away
Now theyve crumbled into dust
Love before was clean and pure
Never more can I be sure
You will not betray my trust
Rings of gold have turned to rust
Rings of gold have turned to rust

Windows
Windows open vistas for us
Windows - of hearts, of minds or of eyes
Windows - which might open outward
Or inward
They bring the light on the other end to this end.
Windows converse
They open the alphabetical locks of our lips
When night weaves nets of darkness on windows
Life-spans speak out in whispers from abysses of pain
Windows then perforce remain silent
Suffer days of tongue-tied laws
Nights of oppression
And epochs of tyranny
Windows are self same stories of dreams
Of centuries
Mute testimony of chasms
Court yards and ruined houses
Evidence of rusted eons rattling with exhaustion
in tyrant time's primordium continuity
Windows have the heart of a woman
They open their body's wings of each clime
With a little waft of wind
With fragrance, sunlight, rain or moon beams.
They blow away paper-light images
And waste away life in uncharted desires.
When butterflies fly in front of windows
Eyes glued to window panes become tearful
With noontide memories.
Evenings look forward to a wayfarer passing by
When they're covered with climbers
holding forth red and white flowers
They fill closed fists with the touch of fire-flies.
Windows often insist on being kept open
They're surprised to watch cloud, birds
And the blue sky's expanse
If they're kept shut
They're afraid of the life breath of
Walls and rooms getting strangulated.
They're afraid of dwellers forsaking their houses
They also feel life's desertion
They also feel despondent
Windows are human beings!

Cold Dark..
I sit alone
In this cold dark room
No windows no doors
Just icy cold air
I live alone
In this cold dark room
No family no friends
Just loneliness to share
I stay alone
In this cold dark room
No voices no sounds
Just nobody to care
I probe alone
In this cold dark room
In my mind in my world
Just a room filled with despair
I roam alone
In this cold dark room
No way in no way out
Just a worn but rigid snare
I rust alone
In this cold dark room
Not because there is no other way
Just because its easier that way....

Probe
Loneliness and it's feeling are terms wide apart
All have had the experience of loneliness
If not time will tell
But its feeling!
It throws open all the doors
Provoking to enter once and for all
Never to return
Yes never to return
The birds, the trees, the wind, the clouds, the sun
The moon, the stars, the stones, the earth, the flowers,
The buildings, the windows, the glass, the table all converse.
They converse of knowledge and wisdom flows
But here the talks are so absurd
They make difficult to converse
Search for harmony
Where to be found?
Feelings are to be aroused as harmony in feelings will be found
Yes the feeling of lonliness
There in isolation harmony resides
Conversation there it trickles down
Thus in crowd one is lonely
Far away from self
Try to feel the lonliness
And then search the self
And then we can converse.

Strategies For Living Life
when he goes out into the world
there are no arms waiting
it is loneliness that walks with him
so he decided to stay and close the
doors and windows
thinking that in this way the world
will love him as others expect
the rope of loneliness chokes him
and so he prepares to go back into the open
he dresses well enough to face the wind
and dance with the shadows
they demand that he tells him his real name
and not wear a mask and sing the usual song
he refuses to cater to a brutality
he goes back to his room and reads a book
and closed the door again
and he grows up into a very strong silence
confident upon the soundless nook and
expects no one to call his name again
at the end he learns this game of
responsible loneliness
the one that does not speak when hurt
that does not smile even when seduced by joy
