The Fact....

they pretended to be there
and they want us naked

one day, and it is as usual cold
they ask us to undress and hypnotized
we do everything just as they wanted...

they are drinking their cups of tea
and their bodies are well wrapped with their clothes
their heads with caps and their
feet with their socks and shoes on...

we believe what they are always telling us
that everything is all right
that there is nothing to worry about these truths
that when naked everything will be fine and
as the rule keeps on saying
we shall soon be happy and free....

it is nighttime
and there is no star
not a single star in the heavens
and we follow their orders
and we plunge into that cold and wide river
we are like the buffaloes

we shiver
it is so cold in here
and there is no star in the heavens
there is only the whisper of the incoming rain
the stoic silence of the night
the sighs of the air

we think we are dreaming
for when we open our eyes again after we dip ourselves in the waters
they are no longer there anymore
leaving us
with the traces of their laughter
the coldness of their indifference
the acridity of their
hatred

we are fools
we follow the orders and we have never used those innate lights within
our hearts

our heads bow
our feet in complete surrender
our toes protrude in the open

but it is not late yet
we still have time to wake up
and to get away from this cold river
we rise
we dry our hair and resume with the comfort of the heat of our clothes
we take our walk toward the house
back home
and settle in our own fireplace
we take our seats now
properly as we listen finally to the dictates of our conscience
our own songs

as we make ourselves open
to the coming of our own destinies
beside us
is reason.

Cold Feet

There was a little boy once upon a time
Who in spite of his young age and small size knew his mind
For every copper penny and clover he would find
Make a wish for better days the end of hard times
For no more cold feet
Cold cold cold cold feet
His clothes were always clean
His face was always scrubbed
There was food on the table enough to fill him up
His house was full of life - his house was full of love
But when winter days arrived
There was never money enough to shod his cold feet
Cold cold cold cold feet
He grew up to be a worker determined to succeed
He made a life for himself, free from worldly wants or needs
But with nobody to share the life hed made
No body to keep him warm at night
When hed go to sleep hed sleep alone with his cold feet
Cold cold cold cold feet
One night he walked the street looking to the heavens above
Searching for a shooting star a benevolent god
When a woman passing by brushed his arm
He turned and found love
He then wished for the courage to ask this stranger
Who she was to not have cold feet
Cold cold cold cold feet
He thought shed like the party life and want the finer things
So he promised more than he could buy
And he promised her the sun and moon to not have cold feet
Cold cold cold cold feet
He worked day and night his fingers to the bone
Hi worried mind guilty conscience drive him on
He cant give her what she needs
He wants to give her what he thinks she wants
Her sad-eyed face, his empty pockets drive him on and his cold feet
Cold cold cold cold feet
Hed struggled all his life to be an honest man
Proud that the dirt on his palms was the soil of the land
But some guys he knew from high school days
Said they had a plan to get rich quick
And they could count him in if he dont have cold feet
Cold cold cold cold feet
He thought about their offer accepted it without qualms
Dreamt about the life hed buy
The comfort that would come without cold feet
Cold cold cold cold feet
He decided to tell his wife things would soon turn around
He said the little boy is dead
A man stands with you now without cold feet
Cold cold cold cold feet
Without cold feet - cold cold cold cold feet
He thought hed set his clock right - he though hed read his watch
He left in such a hurry he didnt think to wish for luck
Makes no difference if youre early - no difference if youre late
When youre out of time - the flowers have been laid
Youre six feet underground
With cold feet
Cold cold cold cold feet

When You Feel The Coming.....

there is a time when you feel the coming
of the end of time,
mind you, i may be subjective
too subjective on this,
i may ask you to pause for a little
understanding
like: we go naked in bed and i do not feel anything
and you sleep soundly and the rain comes in
through a half-open window and i do not close it
but i open the door and naked
still i go outside the yard
and it is too cold and i let the rain fall throughout my body
and i know it is very cold at this hour of
the night
but as i am telling you
when you feel the coming of the end of time
you disregard cold
and warmth and yes that is it:

you feel nothing anymore
at all.

A Primera Luz

you wake up only to find out
that at this hour you are confused with
what to do first

you rise put on propriety
you walk towards the fridge
you open it to
have a cold glass of water
to drink and feel
the coldness of this
still gray hour

there is no difference
it is the same cold moment
like last night's
old temperament
when you had problems about
what to do
with your life when you took off
propriety
and lay your self naked against
light of the ceiling's
indifference

there is simply no one that fits
the one that you dream: so sweet
and enduring
the eternal goodness that you
still hope for

there is no one,
no one

perhaps there could be good news
on a primera luz.

The Prison Door (Clangs Open)

the prison door clangs open,
the man in me set free.
with nothing left
but the clothes on my back,
and feet that know
the way home...

rain begins to fall
with the coming of night.
i seek shelter beneath a bridge.
staring into the blackness
i see, i think i see...
one solitary star.

a star that tastes like bread,
and meat scorched by the flame.
that feels like warm blankets,
clean sheets, the bare skin of a woman.
a light that pours, invades a room,
and fills the room with living.

water drips down my face,
mixes with tears...
my fists open and close,
my mind the same.
and all the sounds of the night
become the sounds of breathing.

the prison door clangs open,
the body carried on a stretcher.
the lights flashing turn off,
no more need to hurry.
the driver stares blankly,
tires whisper prayers on wet roads!

No Surrender

We busted out of class had to get away from those fools
We learned more from a three-minute record than we ever learned in school
Tonight I heart the neighborhood drummer sound
I can feel my heart begin to pound
You say youre tired and you just want to close your eyes and follow your dreams down
We made a promise we swore wed always remember
No retreat, believe me, no surrender
Like soldiers in the winters night with a vow to defend
No retreat, believe me, no surrender
Now young faces grow sad and old and hearts of fire grow cold
We swore blood brothers against the wind
Im ready to grow young again
And hear your sisters voice calling us home across the open yards
Believin we could cut someplace of our own
With these drums and these guitars
We made a promise we swore wed always remember
No retreat, believe me, no surrender
Blood brothers in the stormy night with a vow to defend
No retreat, believe me, no surrender
Now on the street tonight the lights grow dim
The walls of my room are closing in
But its good to see your smiling face and to hear your voice again
We could sleep in the twilight by the river side
With a wide open country in our hearts
And these romanics dreams in our heads
We made a promise...

Orion

Orion, wont you give me your star sign
Orion, get up on the sky-line
Im high on my hill and I feel fine
Orion, lets sip the heavens heady wine
Orion, light your lights:
Come guard the open spaces
From the black horizon to the pillow where I lie.
Your faithful dog shines brighter than its lord and master
Your jewelled sword twinkles as the world rolls by.
So come up singing above the cloudy cover
Stare through at people who toss fitful in their sleep.
I know youre watching as the old gent by the station
Scuffs his toes on old fag packets lying in the street
And silver shadows flick across the closing bistro.
Sweet waiters link their arms and patter down the street,
Their words lost blowing on cold winds in darkest chelsea.
Prime years fly fading with each young hearts beat
Orion, wont you make me a star sign
Orion, get up on the sky-line
Im high on your love and I feel fine
Orion, lets sip the heavens heady wine
And young girls shiver as they wait by lonely bus-stops
After sad parties: no-one to take them home
To greasy bed-sitters and make a late-night play
For lost virginity a thousand miles away.

Rocket Love

Do do do, do do do, do do do, do do do
Do do do, do do do, do do do-oo
I longed for you since I was born
A woman sensitive and warm
And that you were
With pride and strength no one would test
But yet have feminie finesse
And so much more
You took me riding in your rocket gave me a star
But at a half a mile from heaven you dropped me back
Down to this cold, cold world
Took me riding in your rocket gave me a star
But at a half a mile from heaven you dropped me back
Down to this cold, cold world
A female shakespeare of your time
With looks to blow picassos mind
You were the best
Your body moved with grace and song
Like symphonies by bach or brahms
Nevertheless, oh oh
You took me riding in your rocket gave me a star
But at a half a mile from heaven you dropped me back
Down to this cold, cold world
Ooh you took me riding in your rocket gave me a star
But at a half a mile from heaven you dropped me back
Down to this cold, cold world
Da da da, da da da, da da da, da da da
Da da da, da da da-aa
The passion burning in your heart
Would make hells fire seem like a spark
Where did it go
Just why that you would overnight
Turn love to stone as cold as ice
Ill never know
But you took me riding in your rocket gave me a star
But at a half a mile from heaven you dropped me back
Down to this cold, cold world
Baby you took me riding in your rocket gave me a star
But at a half a mile from heaven you dropped me back
Down to this cold, cold world
Cold, too cold, you took me riding in your rocket gave me a star
But at a half a mile from heaven you dropped me back
Down to this cold, cold world
Oh, oh, oh, took me riding in your rocket gave me a star
But at a half a mile from heaven you dropped me back
Down to into this cold, cold world
I would not do that to a dog
Took me riding in your rocket gave me a star
But at a half a mile from heaven you dropped me back
Down to this cold, cold world
You took me riding in your rocket gave me a star
But at a half a mile from heaven you dropped me back
Down to this cold, cold world
Ooh baby

Northern Star

And I cry and no one can hear
Inhale
The blinded eyes that see
The chaos
Bring the pitiful to me
Even though Im wide-awake, I will
& blackest night & I will wait for you
Its cold in here, theres no one left
And I wait for you
And nothing stops it happening
And I knew, Id cherish all my misery alone
And I wait staring at the northern star
Im afraid it wont lead me anywhere
Hes so cold, he will ruin the world tonight
All the angels kneel into the northern lights
Kneel into the frozen lights
And they paid, I cry and cry for you
Ghosts that haunt you with their sorrow
I cried cos you were doomed
Praying to the wound that swallows
All thats cold and cruel
Can you see the treees, charity and gratitude
They run to the pines
Its black in here, blot out the sun
And run to the pines
Our misery runs wild and free
And I knew, the fire and the ashes of his grave
And I wait staring at the northern star
Im afraid it wont lead you very far
Hes so cold, he will win the world tonight
All the angels kneel into the northern lights
Feel their hearts, theyre cold and white
And I want you
And blessed are the broken
And I beg you
No loneliness, no misery is worth you
Oh, tear his heart cold as ice
Its mine
And I wait, praying to the northern star
Im afraid it wont lead you anywhere
Hes so cold, raining on the world tonight
All the angels kneeling to the northern lights
And I pray, begging to the northern star
Im afraid it wont lead you anywhere
Hes so cold, he will rule the world tonight
All the angels, kneeling to the northern lights
Kneeling to the frozen lights
Feel their hearts, theyre cold as ice

They're Not Here, They're Not Coming

(don henley/stan lynch)
From the arizona desert
To the salisbury plain
Lights on the horizon
Patterns on the grain
Anxious eyes turned upward
Clutching souvenirs
Carrying our highest hopes and our darkest fears
They swear there was an accident back in '47
Little man with a great big head
Splattered down from heaven
Government conspiracy; cover-ups and lies
Hidden in the desert under endless skies
Well, it's a cold, cold, cold, cold, cold, cold, cold, cold
Post, postmodern world
No time for heroes, no place for good guys
No room for rocky the flying squirrel
They're not here, they're not coming
Not in a million years
Turn your weary eyes back homeward
Stop your trembling, dry your tears
You may see the heavens flashing
You may hear the cosmos humming
But i promise you, my brother
They're not here, they're not coming
Would they pile into the saucer
Find orlando's rat and hug it?
Go screaming through the universe
Just to get mcnuggets?
Well, i don't think so, i don't think so
It's much too dangerous, it's much too strange
Here in a world that won't give oprah no home on the range
Well, it's a cold, cold, cold, cold, cold, cold, cold, cold
Post, postmodern world
No authenticity, no sign of soul

'til we put away our hatred
'til we lay aside our fears
You may see the heavens flashing

But i promise you, my sister
They're not here, they're not coming
To this garden we were given
And always took for granted
It's like my daddy told me, you just bloom where you're planted.
Now you long to be delivered
From this world of pain and strife
That's a sorry substitution for a spiritual life

First Star I See

Shes the one Id like to meet,
The Girl from my First Star seen,
But the nights been full of clowds
to dark to see,
left blind no light for me,
a black sweater pull over the night sky
and Im not wishing anything.

Till She came along,
Star above now Star on earth,
Took my hand,
went for a ride,
and we just watched the world spin by,
like two diamonds in the sky.

the Heavens open wide,
and In the cold black sky,
Stars once more begin to rise,
Smiling, it seems upon my wish.

But I fear tonight I made
another wish, a prayer from my broken lips,
will the stars above reclaim
the one that seemed to fall toward me,
or can my silent protest keep,
that which be so dear to me,
will this gift, this chance persist,
or shall it fly, a comit on the winds,
a falling star seen not caught,
travling through this timeless void.

She's the one Id like to meet,
a wish that travels mindlessly,
never caring when it lands,
how long it stays, nor if it mends,
for likely she shall leave again,
Once more to be,
First Star i See...

Hypnotic

Baby come over here
And taste me
Won't you feel my lips
And take me deeper into your arms
Mesmerising
Way you got my Venus rising
Visualising your skin melting into mine
Open up, I'm coming in
Explore original sin
Open up, I'm coming in
Lie back
It's getting so hypnotic
I'm coming up on it
Your love's hypnotic
It's a beautiful way to fly
Surrender your mind
And lose yourself as we rise
Hypnotic
Time is locked into the pulse inside us
In a place they'll never us
Naked, sacred and pure
Hearts racing (racing)
Rhythm so intoxicating (cating)
Letting go and we're free falling
Going, going, gone
Open up, I'm coming in
Explore original sin
Open up, I'm coming in
Lie back
It's getting so hypnotic
I'm coming up on it
Your love's hypnotic
It's a beautiful way to fly
Surrender your mind
And lose yourself as we rise
Hypnotic
Hypnotic, so hypnotic
Open up, I'm coming in
Open up, I'm coming in
So hypnotic
Coming up on it
So hypnotic
So hypnotic
I'm coming up on it
Your love's hypnotic
It's a beautiful way to fly
Surrender your mind
And lose yourself as we rise
Hypnotic
So hypnotic
I'm coming up on it
Your love's hypnotic
It's a beautiful way to fly
Surrender your mind
And lose yourself as we rise

Out In The Cold

The day fell down, the air got cold
I walked out in the street
Daydreamed for a mil e or two
Staring at my feet
Like a workin boy, out of luck
Fallin through the cracks
Night rolled in, I turned back home
A hard wind at my back
Im out in the cold (out in the cold)
Body and soul (out in the cold)
Th eres nowhere to go (out in the cold)
Im out in the cold (out in the cold)
Well I woke up
My brain was stunned
I could come around
I reached out to grab my keys
Tumbled to the ground
I thought of you
Starry eyed
I wondered where we stand
Did I just fall from your arms
Down into your hands
Im out in the cold (out in the cold)
Body and soul (out in the cold)
Theres nowhere to go (out in the cold)
Im out in the cold (out in the cold)
Im out
Standin in a doorway
Im out
Walkin around
Hands in my pockets
Im out in the cold (out in the cold)
Body and soul (out in the cold)
Theres nowhere to go (out in the cold)
Im out in the cold (o ut in the cold)

Wake Up Time

You follow your feelings, you follow your d reams
You follow the leader into the trees
And whats in there waiting, neither one of us knows
You gotta keep one eye open the further you go
You never dreamed youd go down on one knee, but now
Who could have seen, youd be so hard t o please somehow
You feel like a poor boy, a long way from home
Youre just a poor boy, a long way from home
And its wake up time
Time to open up your eyes
And rise and shine
You spend you life dreaming, running around in a trance
You hang out forever and still miss the dance
And if you get lucky, you might find someone
To help you get over the pain that will come
Yeah, you were so cool back in high school, what happened
You were sure not to have your spirits dampened
But youre just a poor boy alone in this world
Youre just a poor boy alone in this world
And its wake up time
Time to open up your eyes
And rise and shine
Well, if he gets lucky, a boy finds a girl
T o help him to shoulder the pain in this world
And if you follow your feelings and you follow your dreams
You might find the forest there in the trees
Yeah, youll be alright, its gonna take time, but now
Who could have seen youd be so ha rd to please somehow
Youre just a poor boy, a long way from home
Youre just a poor boy, a long way from home
And its wake up time
Time to open up your eyes
And rise and shine
Cause its wake up time
Time to open up your eyes
And rise and shine

Cold Feet

He just turned seventeen
When the moment came
He was standing on the corner
In the pouring rain
She pulled up along side
And rolled the window down
And said can I drive you
To some part of town
Hes sitting beside her
With a great big smile
The lady had class
It stood out a mile
His heart was beating
Like a big bass drum
Thinking at last
His time had finally come
He started talkin fast
Trying to loosen up
But he just felt kinda stupid
So he shut up
She said dont think Im fast
cause Im really not
But his fever went all wild
It was getting hot
She pulled into the driveway
Of a big brown stone
He was champing at the bit
And then her heart be told
She said my husbands working
Hell be gong all day
But he couldnt believe it
When he heard himself say
Im getting cold feet
Im getting cold feet
Lady dont ya hear me talking to you
Hey theres something that you can do
Im so nervous I just might shoot you
Ive got them cold, cold feet
Well a couple years on
And our heros grown
Hes a professional musician
With a band of his own
Hadnt had much luck
With the girls that he meets
Might get another case of terminal cold feet
He met a girl not too long ago
She thought she could change him
But it wasnt so
As soon as she mentioned long term romance
He went into that same old song and dance
Im getting cold feet
C-c-c-c-c- cold feet
Im getting cold feet
C -c-c-c-c- cold feet
Mamma dont ya hear me talkin to you
No aint there something that you can do
Im so nervous I just might shoot you
Ive got cold, cold, cold, cold
Upset about it
Cold, cold, cold, cold
You know I gottem
Cold, cold, cold, cold
Said Ive got them cold, cold feet
He increased his quota
Of one night stands
It was kind of a complex
You understand
He would treatem real mean
He was low down and dirty
Now hes gotta make some changes
Cause hes nearly thirty
Cause see he had a dream
Just the other night
He was standing in gods ever present light
And God said, Id like to let your life run its coarse
But youd understand Im having second thoughts
Im getting cold feet
C-c-c-c- cold feet
Im getting cold feet
C-c-c-c- cold feet
Richard dont ya here me talking to you
I think you know what you have to do
You gotta make some changes
You got them
Cold, cold, cold, cold
Theyre getting rigid
Cold, cold, cold, cold
Youre getting frigid
Cold, cold, cold, cold
I said you got them cold, cold feet

When The Sacrifice Is Over

and then the time comes
for the end
of all our sacrifices
when we decide to go
to the river
remove our clothes
and dip our feet
on such coolness

when we finally
take the last breath
and then plunge
ourselves
to its depth

when we
see nothing not even
ourselves
as we close our eyes
and face
the murkiness
of darkness
trying to find
a little
light

shall we find
eternal peace in the drowning
under the
cold water?

The coldest of the cold?

A greedy person’s Cold ambition
Or could it be Cold windy nights
The pureness of Cold clear water
Or the alien aspect of Cold neon lights

The careless Cold shoulder
The unfeeling Cold heart
The curse of Cold nature
Cold hands held apart

Could it be Cold feet
Could it be cold fears
Could it be cold weather
Or icy cold ears

Even above cold blood…
Even above… being apart
My choice of all, above, Would be
the unfeeling…of a cold, cold heart

Cold Turkey

Temperature's rising
Fever is high
Can't see not future
Can't see no sky
My feet are so heavy
So is my head
I wish I was a baby
I wish I was dead
Cold turkey has got me on the run
Body is aching
Goose-pimple bone
Can't see no body
Leave me alone
My eyes are wide open
Can't get to sleep
One thing I'm sure of
I'm at the deep freeze
Cold turkey has got me on the run
Cold turkey has got me on the run
Thirty-six hours
Rolling in pain
Praying for someone
Free me again
Oh I'll be a good boy
Please make me well
I promise you anything
Get me out of this hell
Cold turkey has got me on the run

The Kiss The Tongue And The Twitting Bird....

when you get near me when you
press your lips against mine, you shall feel the coldness of my dawn,

you keep your mind open like eyes staring at the sun,
yet what you see is still the haze, the fog hanging by the mountain

since it has always been a very cold day,
when you put your tongue inside my mouth, you feel the rain rushing

making a river of rippling waters and it is the force inside that
you will feel

you close your eyes and trace where it is going, and you shall know
that every dropp of rain that makes this river

is always going away from you away from us, and you start to browse
over the silence of the my day, and you shall find that this day is an

empty page where all my words have already been erased because i do not want you to know anymore what i feel and who i am,

i am detached, i am numb, and i do not wish to know what love is all about and where it is going,

i just like to hear a bird twitting alone on that old tree.

whatever is it that it is singing, i do not really care.

for what i know is that i am alive, and for what purpose, who cares?
