Pretense
if you only cared
as i do, you could have
appreciated
my little pretenses
they are not the usual
inconveniences
they are the tickles
the taste of pickles
the scent of ripeness
the smoothness
of love
what delights us
we must say
no matter what
reality that hurts
what use?
time is too short
for truths that kill us
time lies within
our own points of view
now, ride in fantasy
come with me
for i am yours
this is pretense
this is happiness.

Return To Fantasy
Searching every day
Looking every way
Trying to make a connection
To find a piece of the action
Like a hungry poet
Who doesnt know
He is close to perfection
Choice is the question
Moonlight night
After moonlight night
Side by side
They will see us ride
But if they cared to look
Then they would see
Its our return to fantasy
Fantasy, fantasy
Can you understand
That in every man
Theres a need to unwind
Thats never been defined
Somewhere deep within
Theres another being
You are somehow abusing
By the person youre using
Moonlight night
After moonlight night
Side by side
They will see us ride
But if they cared to look
Then they would see
Its just our return to fantasy
Fantasy, fantasy
Travelling faster than lightening
Closer than ever before
We can go on for you
And take you nearer to
The legend of mystery
From the beginning of time
Dreaming... time ... dreaming
We can return to
The land of the good and the kind
Time... dreaming... time... dreaming
Why dont you come to our party
And open your minds
In another place
Theres a newer face
Like an unfinished painting
Your creator is waiting
The brush and pen describe
What it is inside
That will set your mind thinking
While the others are sinking

Licking The Drops Of Reality From Your Feet
there is free ride
to the fantasies of another
you do not oppose an image
you follow the dictate of color and scent
you arrive at wonderlands
and be met by fairies
it is the other that needs it
not you
you bring the camera and
take shots of impressions
in fantasy time is limited
remember Cinderella
the flying horse takes you
back home
you comfort fantasy
it is crying
then you walk towards a door
that opens you towards home
your feet are hurt on the nails
on the floors protruding
you bleed and lick the blood
from your toes
you taste reality and like it
you open the door of your room
blood drops and stains all over
you know what sleep is from now on

Little Inconveniences In Life
this no perfect landscape
something is always missing
no matter how you try
i get a room
that air-conditioning breaks down
little inconveniences
make a bad day
you stroll in the park
the trees are dead
you take a boat
to be far away from trouble
the storm comes
unexpectedly
you promise
you shall take the plane
and you did
it crashed
tell me
where are you now?
if you only stayed in the room
you should have known
little inconveniences do not
kill

Fantasy Is Reality/bells Of Madness
Sunset blood drained from the sky
Desires found the night to die
But when I hear the bells of madness ring
I will listen to the silence
Love is louder than anything
And peaceful in its violence
Serious in making chains
The voices of greed all sound the same
But when I hear the bells of madness ring
I will listen to the silence
Love is louder than anything
And peaceful in its violence
Fantasy is reality
I love my fantasy
Reality is fantasy
Just dont call it reality, oh no
Tunnel pain is falling fast
Into the fear that time will last
But when I hear the bells of madness ring
I will listen to the silence
Love is louder than anything
And peaceful in its violence
Im so tired of the lies they tell
Find the truth they cant buy or sell
But when I hear the bells of madness ring
I will listen to the silence
Love is louder than anything
And peaceful in its violence
Fantasy is reality
I love my fantasy
Reality is fantasy
Just dont call it reality, oh no

Happiness In A Bottle
My stomach hurts
my liver failed
to much happiness prevailed
happiness comes in certain shapes
it comes in only shades of brown or transparency
it demolishes hurt and lessens dignity
another shot of happiness
another dose of emptiness
happiness a endless bliss
mix it with some flavors and smoothness
makes you feel invincible
makes your stomach dance and whirl
the doctors say to much of happiness isnt good for you
happiness takes you out of reality and makes things untrue
every one that doesn't have it want it
and every one that has it want more
some people despise others that have it
they send them to letter meetings
and blame them for recklessness
how could some thing so good be so bad
for years ive known only happiness comes in cans
and glass bottles to
while every ones searching for their so called happiness
ive already found mines in brew.

A Child's Game
the games that you play
are the same games that i am playing
writing poems
watching movies
reading stories
reading poems
taking the night
out with not so
close friends
enjoying the
music at the bar
some beer and
some barbecue
a little laughter
some pretenses
some truths to
tell sometimes
going home late
and wanting some
sleep till noon,
what is it that i am doing?
i am hiding from misery
this program on pain reduction
this art of losing and finding
and losing till it hurts no more
these children games
of hide and seek
breaking up and
becoming friends again
in such a short
time

All It Will Ever Be
Written by: myles goodwyn
The night is late and thats all it takes
With your body next to mine
Its the way we feel its the love that heals
And no ones been unkind
And theres no lies about tomorrow or yesterday
Theres no place for being wrong in what we say
And were not sayin that its right this time
Were just takin it and feelin fine
Were just living out this fantasy
And thats all it ever will be
Im holdin you and Im touchin you
And theres nothin in our way
The kisses taste like love that waits
With thoughts that words could never say
And with no strings attached our motives clear
You can feel the tension in the air
And were not sayin that its right this time
Were just takin it and feelin fine
Were just living out this fantasy
And thats all it ever will be
We just met and saw the pleasures that the
Night could bring
Its the game that lovers play
Its the moment that we need to get us through
Its the passion and the pain
And were not sayin that its right this time
Were just takin it and feelin fine
Were just living out this fantasy
And thats all it ever will be
And were not sayin that its right this time
Were not layin ourselves on the line
Were just living out this fantasy
And thats all it ever will be

Truth Are Lies.. Lies Are Truth..
speak your truth from your quivering lips
but also your lies comes through them..
your half lies are also your half truths
yet your half truths are also your half lies
what shall you talk about them if your thruth are your lies
and your lieas are your truths
then this world would be filled of noise
being lies and being the truth
until all of us will be lost
what to believe and follow
will it be the half lies
or the half truths?
which one is to choice
the truth is yours but also are the lies..
so let us all live with he truths and the lies
within our hearts within our minds
till we are lost in a maze of half lies and half truths

Spell
The breath of your sweet voice
Brought me to my knees
Your words caressed my ears
As easy as you please
You took me back from hell
for a short time only
You had me in a spell
now cast back and lonely
My love for you has not died
I want to draw in your scent
This I proclaim, I have not lied
Because I know your heaven sent
The yearning to feel your touch
Allowing your fingers to linger
It hurts, oh it hurts so much
Burning, hot like cinder.

Time to Kill
We have been in this war in Iraq for far to long a time.
We have way to much time to kill.
No time to love, but time to kill.
No time for understanding but time to kill.
No time for racial harmony but time to kill.
No time to feed the hungry but time to kill.
No time to educate the children but time to kill.
We have been in this war in Iraq for far to long a time.
It's time for peace before we run out of time.
Kiss Of Borrowed Time
Music :klaus meine
Lyrics:klaus meine
Leaves are falling from the trees
More than anything I want to be
Close to you back in your arms
I swear Im still in love
Dont say a word just wait
As the bell will ring across the street we know
Those memories never go
Leaves are falling from the sky
Why dont we give it just another try
When the winter comes along
The shadows will be gone
The ice will melt away
cause in front of the old fireplace is warm
Oooh, welcome home
Let me take you back again
To a love thats got a name
For you and me
Another day another chance
Only love will kill the pain
That hurts so deep
Dont waste a moment of your life
cause its just a kiss of borrowed time
Let me take you back again
To a love thats got a name
For you and me
Another day another chance
Only love will kill the pain
That hurts so deep
And we taste that wine
Just another sip of borrowed time

In Between The Rush Hours Of The Day
imagine a sandwich
two square breads with same boring faces
to make it viable
we make it taste good by putting some fillings
some prefer the usual ham
and cheese with pickles
and lettuce leaves
imagine too ourselves
what lies between us to make this relationship work
some fillings
don't put indifference
we had tasted its bitterness and
blandness
let us try the usual
excitements of
the unknown
something we have not tried before
to places we have not been
too
perhaps we can be strangers again
not knowing what rivers are
or the reason for the stars
or perhaps we be children again
pointing our small fingers to the moon
imagine too my rush hours
words are coming in trains and
bullets
and i am bombarding with blacks and whites
and bold
too heavy to my sight
i have learned how to take the break
the fillings in between
a poem here and there
amidst the sour faces of lawyers
the sadness of the victims
the twisted jaws of
the culprits
there are words that must please
there is world that must
cohabit happiness
be it in the mind or somewhere else
i grab it.

Solitude is essentially a matter of pride; you bury yourself in your own scent. The issue is the same for all real poets. If you've been happy for too long, you become banal. By the same token, if you've been unhappy for a long time, you lose your poetic power...Happiness and poverty can only coexist for the briefest time. Afterword either happiness coarsens the poet or the poem is so true it destroys his happiness.

Time for everything
All things that happens in the world, happens at the time God chooses..The is a time of love, and a time of hate! The is a time of sorrows, and a time of joy! The is a time of war, and a time of peace! The is a time of birth, and a time of death! The is a of planting, and a time of pulling out! The is a time to succeed, and a time to fail! The is a time of finding, and a time of loosing! The is a time of smoothness, and a time of rudeness! The is a time to be fast, and a time to be slow! Everything has its own time to happen dont rush, wait for the time to come! BY K.r mafojane

First Time For Everything
Since time has begun...
There has been the first time for everything.
The first time for this.
The first time for that.
The first of its kind and color.
The first to arrive.
The first to leave.
The first to be born.
Like Adam and Eve.
Why it was Adam first?
Then Eve?
Even today,
That is difficult for me to perceive...
Since women are the only ones,
We believe conceive!
And trying to understand this,
With comprehension?
I ask myself...
WHY is it that so many are caught up in conflict?
Why is it...
There are those who 'still' exist,
Who can not accept...
Reality?
Even under hypnosis...
Reality for some,
Will not be induced.
No matter if it is screamed,
From a pulpit!
To reduce to something exclusive!
That's how effective,
A conditioning process.
Once that has been done...
Reality for some,
Is as controlled as what they have been told.
And we all know how potent lies are!

I Can Take That Now
No matter if I am not
What was once there,
But now you say...
Has long been forgotten.
I have not dropped you,
From my heart...
Or out of sight and view.
I hope I will be forgiven.
To let each other live.
And become more positive.
No matter if I am not,
What was there...
When we both shared and cared.
There is none other,
I would dare to say I loved.
After all we have been through...
I guess I am due,
To get a taste of your bitter attitude.
I can take that now.
And understand.

a Fantasy Re-lived
A once upon a time
Live fantasy insulated me
Just as on that evening when
It diluted misery to its last dreg
Dissolving it in the scent of
Freshly watered grass
And the melting sun
Twilight shadows
Played upon the eager skin
Till darkness descended
To breathe life into your hands
That picked the water droplets
Off my faltering feet
How we’re cut off from
The physicality of the surroundings
Even the gardener, reduced to a dot
In the fading light of the sun
Only the scent we had absorbed
Wafting around…
That fairytale fantasy
Came to be seated by me
On this dark cement bench
Yes, I relived every moment
Of that once upon a time fantasy
On this summer evening
Under a flickering bulb…

Without Those Memories
Memories I keep,
Are detailed and available.
Today I enjoy keeping them fresh.
And as time moves on...
I've noticed how attractive,
My life gets.
And it was just a few short years ago,
I remembered trying to do my best...
To forget anything that would upset,
My happiness.
But without those memories,
My happiness could not be achieved.
Nor would I have completely appreciated,
Those obstacles that came into my life to test.

Ego
Written by ricky & marty wilde
All the time I try to reason with you
But I just cant seem to make you understand
Nothing seems to ever really get through
Cant you feel emotions like any other man
You never cared for anyone (anyone)
You never cared for anyone (at all)
Any love that youve ever given me
You only gave me for your ego
Look at how you wanted all of my tears
Any time you felt you needed security
All the nights you let me out on my own
Thats the thing that you just cant give back to me
You never cared for anyone (anyone)
You never cared for anyone (at all)
Any love that youve ever given me
You only gave me for your ego
Youre only plan it seems is look after number one
You just cant comprehend what it means to love someone
Stay away, get lost, get out of my life
Cant you see the changes now and at last Im free
Any plans I have just dont include you
And thats the one thing you wont take from me
You never cared for anyone (anyone)
You never cared for anyone (at all)
Any love that youve ever given me
You only gave me for your ego
Every time I tried to reason with you
But it seemed that I never made you understand
Nothing ever seemed to ever really get through
Cant you feel emotions like any other man
You never cared for anyone (anyone)
You never cared for anyone (at all)
Any love that youve ever given me
You only gave me for your ego

Far More Effective
The lies and dirt
And hearing things untrue.
The gossip and innuendos...
Done by those with limited minds too!
There is nothing else I would rather do,
Than to pull these thoughts
Out of my memory...
With the pain I felt!
And the scars that healed with much attitude!
It hurts...
To know others find feelings of mine,
Worthless.
It hurts...
When lies and dirt
And hearing things untrue said
To ruin my happiness...
And to mess up my head!
It hurts!
But not as much as being on the other end
Of retaliation!
Even forgiveness doesn't seem to control it,
When that times comes...
To payback what others have done!
I am not of the 'turn-the-other-cheek' kind!
I pray everyday that God removes the players...
And the bitterness I've been holding for years,
In my mind for some time!
Doesn't make sense repeating the ignorance.
Especially since those deeds done
Have already been repaid with my approval and delight...
By my Father!
And I thank God throughout every hour,
He has allowed me to overcome my taste for retribution!
Knowing that a 'higher power' does that
Much better than I can!
And far more effective.
