On Their Days Of Lament

the lady with a black veil
is asking: how could you send the clowns
for us to laugh
when we are still mourning?

and the clown was there quick with
an answer: a big smile as big as the half moon
an acrobatic skill like a boneless earthworm

why should sorrow be overwhelming
when happiness is there
aplenty
lurking at every door of
thought?

Send In The Clowns

Isnt it rich? are we a pair?
Me here at last on the ground,
You in mid-air,
Send in the clowns, send in the clowns,
Isnt it bliss? dont you approve?
One who keeps tearing around,
One who cant move,
Where are the clowns?
Send in the clowns,
Just when Id stopped opening doors,
Finally knowing the one that I wanted,
Was yours,
Making my entrance again with my,
Usual flair,
Sure of my lines,
No one is there,
Dont you love farce?
My fault I fear,
I thought thar youd want what I want,
Sorry my dear,
And where are the clowns?
Quick send in the clowns,
Dont bother, theyre here,
Isnt it rich? isnt it queer?
Losing my timing this late,
In my career,
And where are the clowns?
There ought to be clowns,
(? )
Send in the clowns. (x10),

Clown

To friends I may seem like a clown.
Yet every clown wears a mask
with a smile upside down hidden there.
A big teardropp painted on his cheek
hides the real ones there.
Clowns make people laugh
only to hide their own misery and despair.

The Clown’s Sorrow

Sorrow wrapping his face,
Sat a man in a park.
An old man got to him
And made a chat with him.
He suggested to him,
‘Go to the circus yonder
And watch the clown’s action.
You can forget your sorrow
And have a heart-full laugh’
‘I am the very clown’
Said the man in sorrow.
The one who makes others
Laugh can very well wear sorrow.

Another clown

the clown with red nose
the clown with green ears
the clown with yellow cheeks
the clown with webbed feet
the children don’t like the clowns
all clowns
all the children are scared by all clowns

the child with orange hairs
the child with blue eyes
the child with pink smiles
the child with wide eyes
the clown don’t like the children
all children
all the clowns want to kill all children

the clown get back at home
He shouts: I hate the children
then he eats the soup of day
quietly smiling

the child get back at home
He shouts: I hate the clowns
then he eats the soup of day
quietly smiling

But the worst is forthcoming:
one child among one million
will become a clown

Me I am not a child
I am not a clown and
I do not like the soup

luckily
all sad stories have an end
and here I write a full stop

Laugh Clown Laugh

Laugh Clown laugh,
that's what they want me to do.
I guess I'm doing something right
because this Clown made you laugh too.
Laugh Clown laugh,
make everyone laugh real hard.
Besides, Who would it hurt?
Will anyone notice
how it has scarred?
Laugh Clown laugh,
but only for a while,
at least until you see
that the humor is in your denial.

Fundamental of Liar Chapter XCII: Clown

The crown of the clown is a big hat of lie
And sweets and candies to lock their mouth
The victory of the clown is a bouquet of laugh
And grin and smile to hide the rest of secret
The crime of clown is a curtain of farewell
And blindfold and cold blood in making shadow
The sorrow of clown is a dance forever
And sin and punishment that never come to end

Loveless Lady

Her blood was painted by the hand of sorrow
Behind her veil, her silhouette was dabbed in black
As she danced to the harmony of sullen tomorrow
For she knew she would die, for her love lacked
The blood of mirth, that true happiness within
Her grave sight her morbid sorrow
was this loveless lady's most mortal sin…

The Widower

it is sad, of course, you lost a wife,
buried her, and now you are still mourning in
black clothes and black pants and black shoes
and even your visions must have been
blackened by such overwhelming sorrow,
how can I comfort you, my friend?
how can I tell you that you are eating some
slices and chunks of sorrow which are poisonous?
try me, listen to me,
I want to lose a wife, I want to lose not just her,
I want to lose myself, I am losing in this war of emotions,
I am not eating chunks and slices of sorrow,
I am being engulfed by this monstrous eclipse,
This total eclipse of my heart, my own darkness
I am digested by this darkness, I am acidified.

So you see, Melvin, my dear friend
there is such thing as a muddier, blacker pasture over here.

Lifetime News

Cried yesterday; Laugh today
Don’t know how long going to laugh
Morning is Dark; also evening’s dark too
Man’s also being same in child and old.

If don’t take food, it’s a disease; also over-eating a disease
Can see always happiness and sorrow
Oh God, the creator of everything
Ye are only one who resists sorrow and happiness.

Due to so much happiness, never asked for sorrow
Let me endure all the sorrow for Thee
Give me energy to abide the tolerance
Also, provide me thy pleasing good news

The Clown In The Circus

What can i say..
I'm just the clown
Someone to cheer you up
And laugh at when you're down

That's my part
My role in this game of life...
When the odds are stacked again you
I'll role the dice

I'm a lover not a fighter
I'd rather laugh then cry
I don't look further then immortality
And i don't ask questions why

I'm just the clown
I'm just a clown
But what happens when the one who makes you smile
Is the one who's feeling down?

I can't lose my will to live
Or my part in this play
Who will be the one
To take these clouds away

What can i say...
I'm just a clown
I want to cheer you up
I don't want to see you frown

Lifes too short
In this theatre play
but i can't always be the one that's gonna make your day...
But i will try

Just remember at some point in our lives
We all need time
An a shoulder to lean on when we cry
Love from the clown xx

The Three Faces of a Clown

The three faces of a clown
are anger, sadness and an upward frown

The angry clown, shows his teeth
scaring kids and bringing them grief
when they're in bed and filled with fright
in their dreams, he'll appear tonight

The sad clowns face begins to frown
wherever he goes, he's feeling down
he sheds a tear when he plays around
then starts to cry, a piercing sound

But the happy clown remembers all this
when angry or sad, he had fallen in abyss

Now anger and sadness are no longer found
only happiness, on this three faced clown.

Sometimes In Your Sadness

sometimes in your sadness
the flying sparrows of the fields
are nothing but dry leaves blown by a
very dry wind towards the mountains

in your sorrow the roses blooming
along your paths become nothing but
lumps of mud sticking to their thorny branches
and the leaves are but trash paper
bound for some burning turning to ash

sometimes in your long mourning
you do not see the shining stars
and you wish that the moon and sun
may altogether stop making the nights and days.

you wish total darkness. You like that
everything becomes mute and blind and deaf.
Your friends and those who love you have
became straw men on the rice fields. They
have become to you utterly useless.

Just because the person you love had perished.
Everything has become useless.
The world looks at you and asks: Is there only one
person who is lovable that all those creatures
around you become nothing?

The world understands and mourns with you
only for a while. They have counted the time. They have
waited for so long. They cannot endure sorrow. They
have all other beautiful things to enjoy, joys to savor.
They are impatient now. Sorrow has a beginning. It has
also an end. Sadness cannot be forever. There is no such
thing as overwhelming sorrow.

Now they have contempt for you. The length of your sadness
has exceeded the limits that they have set. The boundaries
of joy, and bliss and happiness have been encroached.
Look over there. There is happiness waiting. There is dancing
over the other fence. They are waiting for you.

Do not frustrate them. They have mourned with you.
And it is over. Now you have to be with them too.
They love life. They like to sing. They like to jump with joy.

Now that you have come back to your senses.
Sadness is over. Let us begin the first step to happiness.

Joint Laughter

We laugh at the same funny things,
Our quick sense of humour just springs
From being together,
Whatever the weather,
It's wonderful what such laughter brings.

We can each see the funny side, that's true,
But of course we can sometimes be blue,
But if one of us is down,
Then the others a clown
Enticing a smile to break through.

Sometimes, when we're both very tired,
And we feel that we're electrically wired,
Something just makes us smile,
And after a while,
We can laugh, which is just what's required.

I won't say there's not sadness in life,
But try looking beyond all the strife,
We keep smiling along,
Till the sadness has gone,
That's the delight of being 'husband and wife'.

Lurking In The Corner

lurking in the corner
can be as devastating
as being so alone
in a very dark room

a self-inflicted sickness
a choice
a coffin that one makes
measured to the size
of his own body

the hand must know
how to open the door
and the eyes must learn
the innate beauty of its sight
as the heart
must sing even in the middle
of an overwhelming sorrow

petrification of a soul
devastation of the mind
the rotting of a very young body
why should it be so voluntary?

Half Moon Jammin

This is about Half Moon Open Mic Nights Harrow on the Hill

Mary Fairy not so scary
How do we count the ways?
We think you're swell
With drums and bells
Your 'parlour nights'
Make us feel bright

You sprinkle your fairy dust and charm
Your aim is for happiness
Not to cause harm

So next time you walk past 'Half Moon' look inside
You'll find merriment, talent, friendship and pride
We do what we do for the gifts we are sharing
But mostly we do it for you who are caring
You'd better be quick, it gets packed, you'll get shoved!
Don't take it personally, @ Half Moon we're all loved!

So next time you walk past the 'Jam Session @ Half Moon'
Come on in for a moment you'll be pleasantly surprised!
Keiran and Caithriona welcome one and all
and should you get tipsy they'll catch you if you fall!

Laugh…….

We laugh today; we'll laugh tomorrow
Over today's joy and yesterday's sorrow
Nothing is permanent, nothing is forever
So we laugh to forget and with sorrow sever
From our happiness' mirth to laugh in play
So merry is the soul who laughs away
The pain life brings, the pain of being
Laughing till joy from pain is fleeing
To where? Our panacea of hearty laugh
I guess it's better than pain's angry wrath
Laugh…….

Thought

Thought
You would be hanging
On the tree
For me to see you :)

Thought
You would be floating
In the sky
For me to see you

Thought
You would be swimming
In the sea
For me to see you

Thought
You would be climbing
Up the wall
For me to see you :)

Alas! You are not
A monkey ;)
Nor Superman ;)
Nor a deep sea diver
Neither Spiderman.

I imagine you
Doing all such
Antics before me!
As you hang in my
Mind and heart
Like a thought
Doing acrobatic
Jamboree!
Surges within me
So many
Oceanic feelings
I find it hard to stop
The tears and thirst
To smile with thee :)

No

Everyone wants a part of you
no matter whom you are
and most want your money.
They plague you with emails, telephone calls
or persistently knock on your door.
The more you say no,
the more they persist anyway
until you get rude and send them on their way.

Some churches send out callers
saying they’ll show you to the light.
I just tell them I’m a Preacher, I have my own church
and that gets rid of them.
I am not lying; I am a pretend Preacher with my own church.

Then comes the charities
wanting you to give money
for this and that.
My answer is always no
and tell them to see the government
as they have more of my money
than I ever get to see.

Up comes the utilities electric and gas,
on the door or on the telephone
about changing your supplier.
They always call when you’re in the middle
of doing something important.
I tell them no,
as I’m happy with my lot.

Next comes the man
with new windows, conservatory or porch.
They do not get much joy from me.
Nor do those who are trying to sell me
the newest gadget ridden phone.
If your wits are not about you,
you could end up with a half dozen of them.

Why don’t they all go to blazes
and just leave me alone.
After a days work I just want to relax
in my home sweet home.
Not get up every five minutes
to answer the door or the telephone.
This my time and I want it peaceful and quiet.

If there are any door-to-door beggars reading this,
stay away from my door,
as I don’t want anything you have to offer.
Hawkers of any kind just stay away
and leave my sanity alone.
If you phone me, I will politely tell you where to go
and when you get there,
I hope the Devil jabs you with his trident,
then my message will come through loud and clear.
My answer is NO.

My Neighbor, Less Than Two

Like a miniature clown across the street
You can't help but love him-he's awfully sweet
It's hard to fault him, he's less than two
Full of chuckles and devilment, his name's Andrew

When he sees us walk on the street outside
He pounds his windows-we've no place to hide
With a smile and a laugh we're forced to go in
A circus of happiness can now begin

He loves to be cuddled and lifted high
I laugh out loud-my back gives a sigh
Chattering and yammering about his own things
We hide the confusion his talking brings

A young Tom Edison he loves the light
He'll point out a fixture, and yell 'My Yight'
He stands on his toys to reach the switch
And on goes the Yight, without a hitch

He loves to hide behind the couch
To find him it's part of his play
When you catch him hiding with a great big smile
He laughs and it makes your day

When you give him chocolate and other candy
He's less taken with laughing and hugs
He'll fly around the room with a chocolate face
Stomping candy into the rugs

For all young clowns the show has an end
And neighbors who duck out of sight
As the trouble, yelling and crying begin
We depart in the fading twi-yight

Send Me Down To Tucson

No one wants to go down to Tucson in the summer
So this time the boss chose me
I've been sort of restless yes he thought it might help if
I got away from my wife and family
There's been no other woman since the mother of my children
And in each and every way she's a lady
Now there's one that I'll remember a sultry night we spent together
And she satisfied the love inside of me

Go on and send me down to Tucson and I'll get the job done
And call up the one whose love is free
She may be easy and I love my lady
But the lady don't satisfy the love inside of me

I know the lady's not to blame cause they raised her prime and proper
While another takes her pleasures where she can
The one in Tucson she don't hide it and when she gets excited
She makes you feel your every inch a man
But if I could have a wish that I knew would be granted
Don't you know that one wish would be
Just to lay beside my lady and she'd be the kind of lady
To satisfy the love inside of me

Go on and send me down to Tucson and I'll get the job done
And call up the one whose love is free
She may be easy and I love my lady
But the lady don't satisfy the love inside of me

Go on and send me down to Tucson and I'll get the job done
Go on and send me down to Tucson and I'll get the job done
