Sometimes In Your Sadness
sometimes in your sadness
the flying sparrows of the fields
are nothing but dry leaves blown by a
very dry wind towards the mountains
in your sorrow the roses blooming
along your paths become nothing but
lumps of mud sticking to their thorny branches
and the leaves are but trash paper
bound for some burning turning to ash
sometimes in your long mourning
you do not see the shining stars
and you wish that the moon and sun
may altogether stop making the nights and days.
you wish total darkness. You like that
everything becomes mute and blind and deaf.
Your friends and those who love you have
became straw men on the rice fields. They
have become to you utterly useless.
Just because the person you love had perished.
Everything has become useless.
The world looks at you and asks: Is there only one
person who is lovable that all those creatures
around you become nothing?
The world understands and mourns with you
only for a while. They have counted the time. They have
waited for so long. They cannot endure sorrow. They
have all other beautiful things to enjoy, joys to savor.
They are impatient now. Sorrow has a beginning. It has
also an end. Sadness cannot be forever. There is no such
thing as overwhelming sorrow.
Now they have contempt for you. The length of your sadness
has exceeded the limits that they have set. The boundaries
of joy, and bliss and happiness have been encroached.
Look over there. There is happiness waiting. There is dancing
over the other fence. They are waiting for you.
Do not frustrate them. They have mourned with you.
And it is over. Now you have to be with them too.
They love life. They like to sing. They like to jump with joy.
Now that you have come back to your senses.
Sadness is over. Let us begin the first step to happiness.

The Greatest Plague
Hate consumes the people of the world like a
plague that kills. Turn to hate we do in times
where things are wrong in thine eyes. Try to
justify it by calling it what you like but in
the end it all amounts to hate. Someone attacks
the weak we go after them claiming justice but
we allow the anger to lead us away. Sorrow can
leads us to hate without a soul even realizing
it. So hate has the ulitmate power in this world
that call home. Hate is everything that does not
envelop love or happiness. We allow more hate
than love in this land. You can call it what you
like. Spite anger sorrow loss sadness jealousy
pain. They all lead down the road to hatred.
The paths may go in different ways but all in
in the same place. Being there alone without
a person to stand at your side. Without the
happiness and joys of life. You can say that
sorrow loss and sadness are not hate but when
you think about it your sorrow can turn feeling
sorrow for a person can turn to hurting another
you feel anger towards those who would not help.
Loss you blame someone or something for taking
someone away from you. Perhaps your loss can
change into seeking vengence. Sadness how could
it turn you wander but sadness it self it loss
and sorrow. When sad you are easily swayed by
one of great influence good or bad. Hate has
the power to do more to us than one can ever
think or imagine. For those who do no see it
just turn the pages back in time and all shall
be revealed then. Hate is destroying us swiftly
one day at a time. Hate is the worlds greatest
plague.

As we bask in sorrow
While recently having a conversation with a friend, we discussed 'basking in sorrow, ' which by definition, is an oxymoron.. bask meaning to take great pleasure or satisfaction; and sorrow meaning loss or despair.
It is possible to bask in sorrow. While for one reason or another, sadness consumes you, at the same time you could be quite happy. For example; I am naturally a happy person. Therefor while I may feel constant sadness about a certain situation, I may still be basking; or somewhat happy. (smiling, laughing, having a good time)
Many people have a sadness inside them that is hidden, or in the back of their mind at all times. These people are probably happy, can have fun, and seem to be in good cheer, while the sadness is still there, in their minds or hearts.
Therefor; we bask in sorrow.
Here we sit and bask in sorrow
Secretly begging for the morrow
A smile upon the outside face
Strength that shows as we run our race
Happiness is never too far away
Genuine cheer throughout the day
But a certain sadness wears us down
And being alone makes us frown
For this is what causes our heartache and grief
It hides under smiles, the sly little thief
So though we are basking in our sorrow today
We might soon find something to keep it at bay

Happiness And Sadness
Happiness what is it, is it love,
or is it just another sound, another word,
happiness is just another thing,
happiness is just another thing to believe in,
Happiness is only for those who deserve,
those who do not won't get the happiness,
those who are happy I pity them,
they know nothing, nothing about this world,
Happiness is evil, we may not see this,
but its true, happiness is evil in so many ways,
happiness is a disguise for the true world,
the hard, cold, hard loving world we live in today,
Happiness is the only feeling you think you want,
I know it isn't I know the dark secrets of the emotion,
I know its hidden secrets, I know its every lying lies,
happiness so cold and unfair to those who don't have it,
my only emotion I take for granted is sadness,
I find this emotion deep, profound, yet enlightening,
sadness so cold and envious is so true,
the sadness is what we need on this world,
sadness is the true world happiness isn't,
the decision is your, live a dream or live reality,
i'm living reality and i'm in the sadness,
the cold, dark, alone, cruel, all alone sadness....

Few Minutes in the Dark
A few minutes in the dark.
What kind of dark?
No light shining?
Depression?
A reality check?
A few minutes in the dark can change you.
Change you how?
Change your outlook of life?
Change your personality?
Cause you to sin?
A few minutes in the dark is dangerous.
How is it dangerous?
Swallow you up in fear.
Never feel happiness.
No more friends.
No more family.
No more love.
No more life.
No more light.
A few minutes in the dark is scary.
You see the evil in the world with no light.
You lose your light for a few minutes and soul dies.
You lose a person, a loved one, every single second.
You lose sight of them and they're gone forever.
A few minutes in the dark and you cant see anything.
No more things that coused you joy or filled with love.
A few minutes in the dark.
It takes only 30 seconds for a child to be kidnapped.
Then after that, they fall to the darkness.
Soul burned out, and love gone.
Another life fallen to the darkness.
A few minutes in the dark.
When you left the light, there is no turning back.
A few minutes in the dark, and you lose sight.
Lose sight of the light.
See what happens in the dark?
A few minutes in the dark.
Causes death.
A breakup between lovers and one points a gun to their head.
A few minutes in the dark and you die.
The light will be sealed from you along memories.
Memories of light and love.
The two things the dark can never have.
Light and love.
A few minutes in the dark.
And you cant remember your friends.
Did you even have friends?
A few minutes in the dark can change your way of thinking.
Reminding you of death at every corner.
You wander forever not ever finding the light.
A few minutes in the dark will change you forever.
Happiness always has its sadness.
Sadness always has its happiness.
Where there is life, there is death waiting around the corner.
Where there is death, there is life some where waiting.
Death is darkness.
You cant find your light if you cant handle a few minutes in the dark.
And maybe people are still stuck in the dark and we dont notice.
Reach your hand out and show them the light.
Everyone around us may look happy but they dont see the light.
A few minutes in the dark is a very sad place to be in.
Your blinded and confused.
you dont feel love and people all around us will always be in the dark,
waiting for a friend to pull them out.
There will be better days

Sonnet: Anticipate Woes; Lose not Hope
When sadness goes and joy has replaced it,
Remember Man, ’tis just a transient state;
One’s happiness depends on how you’re hit;
Enjoy as if ’tis not your one life-mate.
Who knows how long the present joys shall last?
Ready thyself for flood of sadness’ might;
Despite one’s hunger, one must always fast;
Both joy and sadness keep your mind’s frame right.
A joyful state can last for days on end,
Nor sadness comes without some joy between;
Live life as if God always is your Friend;
Expect sad things as life is very mean.
Life will adjust no matter, what come may!
Each night will be followed by a new day.

Beautiful Leaves
Beautiful leaves falling down,
Help me regain the sorrow in my eyes,
Beautiful leaves shimmering on a bright night,
Reassure me that I will laugh again,
Beautiful leaves changing colors,
Give the world a meaning of life
Beautiful leaves crumbling on the ground,
Let the birds chirp they're song once again.
Beautiful leaves tumble down,
Understand how I feel,
Beautiful leaves growing around,
Feel my sorrow and sadness

The Twin
Happiness is the hidden status
Of expressed sadness
It is the same source
From where happiness
And sadness originate.
Deep sadness enables one
To absorb deep happiness
The drink pot which kisses your lips
Once suffered the fire of potter
Its a game of space and time
Like light and darkness
Sadness and happiness live live together
But expresses in different time.

Joy Love Run at Seams
joy love
run at seams
sorrow swallows
gladness dove
there is joy within
love within
a touch of sadness
sorrow stain
happiness
rebirth
future bliss
salt earth
troubles nose
take on chin
courage pose
drawn within

Sadness Is A Major Theme Of Mine
Sadness is a major theme of mine
I am sad a lot
I am not sure why -
My father was the saddest person I have ever known
Perhaps its that-
But life is sad
It has so much sadness in it-
Yesterday a very good friend of mine
Was pronounced incurably ill
So many friends of our recently
Have become very ill-
Aging brings much sadness with it-
So much sadness -
Inside I have too much joy too and peace and calm
I have those things also-
But sadness is always here or waiting to come.

No Love
I have nobody
None at all
Emptiness surrounds me
Pain covers me
Sadness, lives in me.
I am hated by all
Liked by none
That is the way my life is
Sorrow happens to be with me all the time
Every single moment I see sadness around
This great level of sadness is always with me
It will always be this way
Nothing will ever change
Only sadness will be
No love, only pain.

No One Can Explain This Sadness
No one can explain this Sadness-
We love in the deepest way
we are the greatest happiness to each other
life can bring-
But somehow we become strangers
we meet as if we never knew each other
we go far away into ourselves
where that greatest love never existed-
No one can explain this Sadness
ow that Love and Happiness which means everything to us
goes away,
And the one person in the world
we were certain we would always most love
becomes a stranger.

Everywhere I Am/My Sadness Comes Back To Me
Everywhere I am
My sadness comes back to me-
Sadness it seems
Is part of my essential self
I carry it with me like a signature.
One day perhaps in some perfect heaven
I will not find it within me
But now here in this world
Where even the greatest Goodness and Happiness
May know loss
It is with me always
Even if sometimes only as a possibility-
Sadness goes with me wherever I go
And I am sadness it seems in some of my essence-
Bless the light of the day and the beauty of the world
And those moments of rare exuberance
In which Sadness is not.

Never-Ending Sorrow
Timeless sorrow
Like there’s no tomorrow
Sadness contagious
Love leaves us
Hope fades fast
Faith never lasts
The sorrow corrupts
Pain erupts
Sanity drops
And time stops
For excruciating sorrow

Feelings-07
Sadness is like being lost
Happiness is like nothing can go wrong
Music is like a summer day
Paris Hilton is an old forgotten dog
Excitement is overrated happiness
Boredom is what i feel everyday
Depression can be like a reflection of my life
Joy is a rare feeling i get when i feel loved
Pain is the hurt and sorrow you put me through
Misery is like having no one to stand beside you
Sadness is like being lost
Happiness is like nothing can go wrong

The Beauty That Resides In Sadness
it is with great sadness that
i write
you a letter,
everything in it is all about sadness
it is not just about us
or you,
it is about the whole massive humanity
that is never drowned
with sadness but struggles in that ocean
of choices and so alone
amidst the
storms and the
other survivors
it is with great sadness that we gather here
and begin to hear
the sounds of all these forms and shapes and
colors of
sadness
i listen to you on an impromptu
and you listen to me
with all patience and with all sadness we embrace ourselves
share sadness with hugs and
at the end
we are filled with so much beauty
feeling so beautiful with
these massive sadness that
never leaves us free
we are bound, and yet when we face ourselves in the mirror of
ourselves
my goodness, we are so
beautiful

Perpetual Happiness
It must not be true
that we are seeking
perpetual happiness.
For happiness filled
the space between sadness
and it is to sadness
we owe our next engagement
with happiness.
You see, sadness is the frame
and happiness- its painting.

Subsided Depression
For 2 whole years
I was nothing but depressed
by my Uncle's Passing
Always listening to sad power ballads
And writing poetry
I still lIsten to somgs that depress me from
time to time, But writing poetry has now
Become a frequent Habit
I Knew that death is a path that
All people are afraid of
Since returning to college,
I met someone special
with the intent to show me heaven
through love and friendship
and That's when I get an new feeling
My Sadness and Depression
Began to subside since
Meeting up with a boy
That I net a few years Ago
Named Ben Latto
he showed me The love that
My Fallen Uncle would have
And the heart of sorrow
Begins to repair by
The Power of Love
I thank him, And my
Lucky stars that
My Destiny has linked
Me to Ben Once Again
And thanks to him My Depression Subsided
And My Happiness slowly Returns
To surface, as I smiled for the
First time once again in 2 years
It was so overwhelming.
I got over my depression after all.

It Is......
it is the sorrow
that connects well with
sorrow
one man's misery to another man's misery
makes us celebrate a
newly found day another kind way
it is the bitter drink
that knows how bitter
is another person's
drink
not happiness since it
knows how to isolate itself
as a form of escape and
fought freedom
for it is in happiness that
one gets paired with
selfishness
that non-mindedness about
the plight of the
oppressed
a happy home separates you
from the rest of the sadness of this world
the comfortable light inside the living room
at night
always have a locked door and closed glass windows
as walls
evading what misfortune once was there
forgetting every trauma that was inflicted
upon the wounded hearts the scarred minds
the lost situation of the soul
it is the deepest sorrow
that creates a hole where we all must fall
and finally find
the best home that understands
what sorrow is there that
others have long embedded
in their broken selves
it is the brokenness that knows
what mending is
it is the war that destroys mankind
that makes civilization understand more
what peace is all about
how important must it become
it is this injustice that makes me
a silent water
that seeks the best level of my
existence
with the least possible
resistance there is

There Is This Sadness That Brings......
there is this sadness that i want
to give to you
but of course, you shall not accept it
for who is foolish enough
to welcome sadness when all hopes
of our humanity are pinned
on happiness?
but there is this sadness that makes us silent
and responsible upon our own shoulders
there is this sadness that makes us
fully human, and fully alive,
there is this sadness that brings you literature
and poetry
and then all those fame and fortune that you
have been seeking
there is this sadness which has another consequence
the purification of the soul
the everlasting happiness
shall you not take it now?

How Sad This World Of Beauty Might Have Been
How sad this world of beauty might have been
How sad the leaves that do not know the beauty of their own green names
How sad the sound of sadness in its sinking down
How sad when no real sadness makes sadness so real
How sad and less than glad are we all
Savoring our own sadness-
Let it go away
Let it play elsewhere
Let joy and laughter make sadness a forgotten moment
Let joy and laughter even be our song to ourselves
Let's try
A new world is waiting for those capable of writing and listening to a poem
That has not a single note of sadness left in it.
