On certain compromises
we agree on a certain indifference
we may not let them know
that within us are the wounds
that never heal
the broken pieces beyond repair
but everyone in this big house
shall never know
what is real what is true
for they must survive just as we
want them to live well
we feed them fabricated dispositions
longer lines of smiles
well trained caressing hands
eyes without any conscience
the incapacity to tell which is
right and which is wrong
and they must believe that
there are no termites on the
ceilings and the walls
no cockroaches in the cracks
of those kitchen sinks
no scorpions underneath those
wooden floors beneath those
foul foundations
'well done' says the law.
we are just behaving that way
good citizens of this republic
deal with usual turmoils
'we are always ready to sacrifice'
we tell them with uniform cliches.

My Foundations
A house is nothing
Without its foundations.
Just as much as
I am without my foundations.
Foundations hold everything together.
Safe, intact and ready for anything,
Ready for renovations,
Or in my case changes,
Ready for tornadoes,
Or in my case challenges,
Ready for earthquakes,
Or in my case very down days,
Foundations make things ready for life.
Without foundations
A house cannot be built,
Without a house.
A couple cannot make a family,
Without a family,
A home cannot be made,
And to me home is everything,
With my foundations,
I wouldn't have grown up in Guelph,
Without my foundations,
I wouldnt have had a perfect childhood,
Without my foundations,
I wouldn't have travelled across the world,
Without my foundations,
I wouldn't be who I am now,
Without my foundations,
My life wouldn't have so much love,
Without my foundations,
I would be nothing,
Just like a house is
Without its foundations.
I am proud and grateful,
To call my foundations,
My mother
And most of all my father.

I'll Repair For You
So you got dry rot and your water pressure's weak
Your trash compactor's broke, the roof has sprung a leak
You just found out your toilet's overflowed
And your smoke detector's smoking and your heater's gonna explode
But
I'll repair for you (when the roof starts to fall)
I'll repair for you (all the cracks in your wall)
I'll repair for you (every nail, bolt and screw)
Your washer's busted and your faucet drips all night
You got some termites with a healthy appetite
Well have no fear, i'll patch up every hole
And i'm licensed and i'm bonded, even se habla espanol
So
I'll repair for you (when your doorknob is loose)
I'll repair for you (when your plunger's no use)
I'll repair for you (with a caulk and hot glue)
I am prepared to tackle all kinds of paste and spackle
You got a leaky shower, i'll be there in an hour
With stucco, bricks and plaster, i am a jedi master
We'll help you through your crisis
Check out our low, low prices too, yeah
Your floors are sagging and your plumbing's shot
But if you don't mind my hairy butt crack every time that i squat
I'll repair for you, anything that you need
I'll repair for you, and my word's guaranteed
I'll repair for you, i'll rewire it too
I'll repair for you
I'll repair for you
I'll repair for you, every nail, bolt and screw

there are walls there are ceilings
there are wall here and there are ears who listen so well
and eyes who see too clearly
you,
there are ceilings too
there are limits to what you can do
there are floors
between
you
now the cup has overflowed the dams break out
a flood
will cover you, the floor meets the ceiling and you are sandwiched
like a witch,
see..how you crumple?

I Am Real, You Can Touch Me.
i do not live upon
a dream
i cannot live so well
in one of those
magical rooms of that
castle in the
sky
i live here
upon the floors of what is real
white sands slipping
from the hands of my
five fingers
i sleep in this bed
of reality
my pillow this conscience
of every hour
of my days
i do not exchange the
roughness of the touch of your hands
to what is still ideal
coming from that future
that is yet
to come
what i have is minimal
imperfect
what you dream is colossal
and well thought of
as perfect
i do not envy you
mist upon a mountain
i am the dew upon a leaf
real
glowing to the lights
of packet sun
i am
what you can touch and smell and
see
what you can mold
with the skin from your tongue
i am massive
as a storm that can blow away
the walls of your house
do not be afraid
i am for change
and for the better
i do not exempt
destruction
it is one of the steps of the stairs
towards
the magnificence of that
heavenly dwelling.

Wounds don’t heal
My wounds don’t heal,
Get real that I have to deal with this,
Known as the girl that got hurt,
Known as a nobody,
My wounds haven’t even covered or be healed,
Its just a memory I understand that,
But my wounds haven’t heal yet,
Knowing that I was raped, hurt, broken hearted, feeling lonely,
But I am not lonely no more I have someone that’s there for me and I understand that the fact that he loves me and I love him,
Even thou only time can tell,
But did time fixed my wounds,
Did time fixed the hurt I feel,
No I don’t think so,
I feel as if I where a ghost,
Ghost of the past,
My wounds might heal but the past haunts me.

Inside The House Of Pain
a damaged brain inside a house of pain.
pieces of broken porcelain, all white and tiny.
under my feet. flying plates landing on walls.
smashed to the sound of bangs and cracks.
running mantels and falling glasses.
and viands splattering on the floors.
dirty carpets. stained curtains. broken windows.
loud words buzzing like giant bees in such a small
room. where everything is a crowd of cruel
words and slapping hands and pulling hairs.
mother wails and shouts for help.
father strikes her face. some blood bleeding
on unwashed handkerchiefs.
children running away. hiding in corners of
this world. all silent not needing any help because
they are all to afraid to become big like them.

The house that died
An Empty house
An era bygone
Fragrant shadows
Echoes mourn
Smiles and tears
Joyous... morbid
Swift emotions
Of hues myriad
They say we bury
Our emotions alive
And forget in a hurry
But they live and thrive
This house... it lives
Through Echoes and smells
Stored memories behind its walls
Mystic house... story unfurls
A memory for every one who lived
Every single sigh they heaved
A voice whispers to tell the tale
Every memory has a smell
A ball room...under keys and lock
Wooden floor
Smells of rose and holy hock
Symphony rings
True to the core
Dining room
With its sounds
Clatter of spoons
“Cheers”...doing rounds
Nursery room
Giggling smiles
Whispering winds
On broken tiles
A chimney stands
Gathering soot
Smell of fire
Burning wood
And the kitchen
The lover’s nook
For the butler and the cook
Echoes of ladle
Hitting the pan
Boiling pot
And smoking can
A bed room smells of
Shadow and light
Echoes of love talks
Of the passionate lusty nights
The house that died
To live once more
Through smell’s portal and echoes door
Is calling out to you!

what GOD says to all those snakes...
this afternoon some snakes come into the house
(literally not those snakes with slimy skin
and without feet)
for there are snakes that walk like real people
complete with heads and
other usual parts like the way your friends look like
when you dine
and you pay
when they tell you stories and you listen
and you know
that these are all not true
but because of respect you nod just the same
and say, ok, ok, i agree
this afternoon these snakes come to the house
and we had coffee and biscuits
the usual afternoon talk and bonding
i may not have changed, but they do not know that there is also the fox in me
but still considerate and forgiving and patient and kind
all giving
they ask for rice and viand
and they talk about their undeserved poverty
and without questions
i give them what they ask and pray for
no harm
nothing big for such a kind man like me
i am not an angry man
my hands are open, my fingers are spread
like tributaries from the rivers to the seas
sometimes my fingers ache for these friends are snakes and they all
love to bite
blood flows from my tips
and the carpet gets stained
but i am not an angry man
and i am as patient as ten spiders webbing from one wall to the other
well, normal as i am
i get fed up sometimes and tempted to shout and drive them away
but i look to the sky
and talk to my God and then i begin to ask silently
all those questions
how to deal with snakes
and God says: 'my son, these snakes are your brothers and sisters
feed them well, please me
for i am the owner of the sea and the land and the sky
yours is but a coin
a patch, an atom
and so negligible
in fact, my son, you own nothing, you only manage what i own
and give you
feed them all, make them comfortable
do not argue, do not say a dirty word
look at me, they bit me too
but did i say a word? you haven't heard me
for like you, snake or man or god
you are all my children....

Citizens
citizens...
of America, of Russia,
of Africa, of China,
of Syria, of Israel,
of France, of Italy....
no more!
citizens of the world!
no longer can one country
make it at the expense
of all others....
the walls between us were lies,
and they have fallen....
now we are a people
whose homeland is family!
there's no other way
humanity can survive!
citizens of the world!

The World Through My Window
Bright sunshine and golden afternoon
Is what I see from my window at noon
Where tender smiles of the lovely clouds
All clear my life's pain and doubt
I learn to impose the rhythm of life
In all the moments and events that survive
When I let go all my past fear
And swap them fairly with faith and cheer
And I put my faith in Gracious God
Who holds my hands in every odd
And heal my wounds and my pain
To show me a glimpse of peace and fain
This is what I see and feel
When I learn to hold on life's deal
And re-establish my faith in life
Where I am bound to live and survive
Life opens the gift of bliss and peace
On my injured life with hopeful lease
Where I do somersaults in rainbow hue
And brighten my life with sun's warmth too
And this is what I see now dear
The world through my window with cheer
Where life smiles back with faith and hope
To show me new vision of life without mope.

If There Is A God 'Twould Seem To Me
If there is a God 'twould seem to me that God would not have a creed
Or would not favour any religious belief such divisive influences a supreme being would not need
Amongst his or her Earthly followers the real God would rule for everyone
A real God would act as a real God should when all is said and done.
Amongst his flock for even an atheist the real God would find a place
And a real God would not differentiate between Nationality and Race
Those who say the God they believe in is the one true God they do have it all wrong
If there is a God surely that God to everyone does belong.
A real God is for her and him as well as you and me
A real God is for everyone though you do not agree
Only in the God of your religion the true God you do see
Suppose as some are known to say we all look at things differently.
If there is a God it does seem to me that God is of human kind
And every good person he or she the real God lives in their mind
And whether you live as an atheist or to a God you do pray
As long as you are a good person with me that is okay.

Loneliness
Have you seen
How loneliness
Gnaws at you
Like termites
In a wooden
Body…
You are
Not an
Old piece
Of furniture
That can be
Replaced -
With a body
New.
So,
Helplessly
Hopelessly
You let the
Termites…
Chew into you.
On second thoughts
Even if you had -
A body refreshed
And new, wouldn't
Those termites…
Still find you?
After all,
As long as
You live,
Loneliness
Lives with you.
It's only those
In between
Fillers of
*Joyous*
Excitement
That come
Visiting you,
But they soon
Bid you adieu.
Loneliness
Stays.
It's your
Lifelong
Enemy.
It whips you
Haunts you…
Threatens you
Bullies you.
You try
Scaring it away.
It never
Leaves you.
It thrives
Within you
Like a termites'
Colony and keeps
Eating into you…

Underneath
Waking up this morning thinking
Maybe this can't be real
And they say there is nothing love can't heal
Why don't you come on down
So you can feel what I feel
Sitting all alone in this place
Even though we're here face to face
There is nothing gone but there's something wrong
Can't you see that I'm stuck here underneath
And you're making it hard to breathe
Take a look around and tell me what you see
You'll find me
Underneath
Said Underneath
I know what to say but don't know where to begin
I fear I'm losing you beneath my skin
What is the resoloution for this pain that I'm in?
Sitting all alone in this place
Even though we're here face to face
There is nothing gone but there's something wrong
Can't you see that I'm stuck here underneath
And you're making it hard to breathe
Take a look around and tell me what you see
You'll find me
Underneath
Said Underneath
Oh whoa oh whoa oh
If only you could feel what I dream
Baby you could hear what I mean
There is nothing gone but there's something missing
Can't you see that I'm stuck here underneath
And you're making it hard to breathe
Take a look around and tell me what you see
You'll find me
Underneath
Said you'll find me
Underneath
Underneath
Said Underneath

Maalaala Mo Kaya?
in worship of the truth
love bends
the chaos begins
the porcelain shatters
and she picks the
pieces piecing them
all again
the cracks insist
that this is something wrong
waste of so much pain
she insists on the power
of truth's liberation
she bows to take all
the consequences
the writer of the story
makes the truth victorious
and love is regained
the pieces back to their places
the family is whole again
in real life however i wonder
what if she just kept things to herself
conceals the truth for good
and no one should have been shattered
just like what my mother did
then there would have been no story after all
no one would have been listening
for an hour or more
wondering what happens to truth at the
last episode
mother was indeed different
for like the earth she believes that not all
need not be known
some things that hurt may better be left
unknown unsaid untouched
i guess i agree with her
underneath this earth some magma keeps the fury
at the surface the earth keeps the peace
the harmony and the moment

About Us......
our sensitivities
grow in a glass house
hardened
by incoming stones
who is afraid of the pieces
of broken glasses?
our wrists are experienced
sufferers
they heal themselves in
due time
we know what the word
endure means
by heart
we are devoured somehow
but still whole
in those vomits
do they find us bitter pills?
don't they know that we are the cure
of those unreasonable fears?
those stones turn out
to be marshmallows getting more
delicious looking
at the flames
on those cold evenings
beneath the
darkness in the forest
we eats stones
no longer afraid of indigestion
our guts
have kept the morning glories
glorious gods
with hardened walls

Pans War
Your already broken
Amidst the dust
A fallen angel
A taste of evil agony
A sigh then a scream
The bleed is so clean
Honesty kills
Just take one of these pills
They say it will heal in time
I think brainwashing is on their mind and that's fine
But I will not be the matter of subject
I will become a rabid dog
Kill to survive
Kill so I don't die
Everyday a little more is lost inside
My eyes have been clouded
My judgement has gone far south
How can I ever cleanse my conscience of so much hurt and pain
I see more every day
The stench of death cover the floor
The poor have become so poor
There is a rotten corpse
It reaches for my ankles
Begs me please
Give me another drink
Something to smoke
Give me something to ease the pain
So my memories don't leave a stain
All in a dead conscience
What have we done
What have won
We open the doors to war
Now their is no settling the score
Lives will be lost
The greater good hurts worse then it should
Ties have been broken
Wounds have been reopen
Now cower because it all of our dire hour

Anybody Listening?
You and I long to live like wind upon the water
If we close our eyes well maybe realize
Theres more to life than what we have known
And I cant believe Ive spent so long
Living lies I knew were wrong inside
Ive just begun to see the light
Long ago there was a dream, had to make a choice or two
Leaving all I loved behind for what nobody knew
Stepped out on the stage
A life under lights and judging eyes
Now the applause has died and I can dream again...
Is there anybody listening?
Is there anyone that sees whats going on?
Read between the lines, criticize the words theyre selling
Think for yourself and feel the walls
Become sand beneath your feet
Fell the breeze?
Times so near you ucan almost taste the freedom
Theres a warm wind from the south
Hoist the sail and well be gone
By morning, this will all seem like a dream
And if I dont return to sing the song, maybe just as well
Ive seen the news and theres not much I can do...alone
Is there anybody listening? g
Is there anyone who smiles without0 a mask?
Whats behind the words-images
They know will please us?
Ill take whats real
Bring up the lights
Is therew anybody listeing?
Is there anyone that sees whats going one?
Read between the lines
Criticize the words theyre selling
Think for yourself and feel the walls
Become sand beneath your feet.

The Real House Where We Ought To Live
the real house where we ought to live
have no pillars
and walls and fences
no kitchens and sinks
and toilets
do not grumble, that is the truth
no wind destroys it
no sun scorches it
no rain seeps
it is not the house of nothingness
discover it yourself

If You Feed It Good
If you feed it good...
It stays fresh.
It stays the best,
One can get!
Yes.
And,
If you feed it good...
It stays fresh.
It stays the best,
One can get!
Yes,
Feed it good...
And it stays fresh.
It stays the best,
One can get!
I'm not gonna mock you anymore,
'Cause you're good to me.
You don't have to knock,
On that unlocked door.
No more...
I'll rock your needs
When we get it heated! .
Now,
If you feed it good...
It stays fresh.
It stays the best,
One can get!
Yes,
Feed it good...
It stays fresh.
It stays the best,
One can get!
Yes,
Just feed it good...
And it stays fresh.
It stays the best,
One can get!
Don't shout or scream,
To be mean and demean.
I'm not your enemy.
Nor do I owe a thing....
To ya!
You can pout with a frown,
Thinking it will bring me down.
To be around...
For your clown count!
To the ground.
But,
If you feed it good...
It stays fresh.
It stays the best,
One can get!
Yes,
Feed it real good...
It stays fresh.
It stays the best,
One can get!
Just,
Feed it good...
And it stays fresh.
It stays the best,
One can get!
Keep that in your head,
And let it feed real good!
Like it should.
Feed it good.
Keep that in your head,
And let it feed real good!
Like it should.
Feed it good.
Yes,
Feed it real good...
It stays fresh.
It stays the best,
One can get!
And,
Keep that in your head,
And let it feed real good!

Crawling in my skin
Without a sense of confidence
Consuming, confusing
Crawling in my skin
Without a sense of confidence I'm convinced that there's just too much prssure too take
There's something inside me that pulls beneath the surface
[Aaron]
Crawling in my skin
These wounds, they will not heal
Fear is how I fall
Confusing what is real
[Chester]
There's something inside me that pulls beneath the surface
Consuming, confusing
This lack of self control I fear is never ending
Controlling
I can't seem
To find myself again
My walls are closing in
(Without a sense of confidence Im convinced that theres just too much pressure to take)
I've felt this way before
So insecure
[Aaron and Chester]
Crawling In my skin
These wounds, they will not heal
Fear is how I fall
Confusing what is real
Discomfort, endlessly has pulled itself upon me
Distracting, reacting
Against my will I stand beside my own reflectionIt's haunting how I can't seem...
To find myself again
My walls are closing in
(Without a sense of confidence Im convinced that theres just too much pressure to take)
I've felt this way before
So insecure
Without a sense of confidence i'm convinced that theres just too much pressure to take (2x)
Cant seem to find myself again my walls are closing in..
Without a sense of confidence I'm convinced that theres just too much pressure to take
Ive felt this way before so insecure..
