Villanelle on a Proverb

The heart once broken is a heart no more.
—Edna St. Vincent Millay

The proverb says that time confers relief,
heals a crimson gash or knits whole a bone
and years unlock a knuckled fist of grief

that clenches emptiness in disbelief
to keep one's wits from being overthrown,
while time, the proverb says, confers relief

from cleaving wounds, paradoxical thief,
that also tears apart fused hearts grown
beyond the lock of knuckled-fisted grief

half-hearts collapsed empty in unbelief
at finalities beneath lids of stone,
while time, proverbially, confers relief

by bleaching wounds to scars—its chief
repair—but cannot heal a heart left alone
although the years unlock the fist of grief,

proclaiming the proverbial motif
that all wounds heal, time cannot atone
for vacancy. The proverb lies. Relief
unlocks a fist, but not the archived grief.

Scars of the Heart

Scars of the Heart

At times it seems like no relief
We can suffer long with our grief

Will the heart ever mend
Will the pain ever end

The tears come from my eyes
But it’s my heart that cries

People ask how am I
They would know if they see me cry

From when my wife passed
I have scars of the heart that will last

My heart may heal after time goes by
The scars of my heart will be till I die

Time Is Not Kind

Time brings no relief to me.
I miss him so much and you can't see
each day that comes,
each day that goes
just like the spring and winter snows.
It leaves me with my grief.

Time brings no relief to me.
Where is the time when I can be
without his face
in every place?
I believed the lie that time can heal
and liven up my pace.

But each step I take where he has been
is not a step I'm happy in.
Each day that's born,
each night that leaves
echoes the lie as I grieve.
Time brings no relief to me.

To Debby On The Death Of Her Dad

To say sorry seems such an easy thing to say
But from you that won't take your sense of loss away
You have been burdened with a heavy cross
And time alone can only heal your sense of loss.

Old 98 for you it ended bad
The grim reaper from you he took your dad
I only can imagine how you must feel
But time the scars of sorrow always heal.

You've lost the hero of your childhood years
And he was one well worthy of your tears
But Debby your tears will bring to you relief
And help to heal your mental scars of grief.

Your father was a man I never knew
But he was one who meant so much to you
The life breath from his body may be gone
But his soul alive and well and living on.

I'm one of those with words who like to play
And to say sorry such an easy thing to say
And I can't feel the sense of loss you feel
And time itself the only thing that heal.

Fruit Of The Spirit

Though broken 'neath the weight of grief,
The heart beats on in sorrow.
It seeks to meet some soon relief
But finds none in the morrow.

The heart is crushed; it's bruised to tears
And cannot sense the reason
For life that would but disappear
Before it's own due season.

The child who grew next to my heart,
Transfused such love and laughter;
But soon his young life would depart
Ascending the Hereafter.

Oh, Heart, produce your fruit of grief-
Much sweeter than the vine.
For though you're trampled 'neath the Thief,
You're left to pen these lines.

You must beat on against the foe
For Death must be defeated.
Allow your tears of grief to flow
Until with Christ we're seated.

Sport Relief

Do something for a child,
Even if you don't feel so wild.

The money that comes,
Can be very big sums.

It goes all to charity,
to help us have parity.

It is all sport relief,
To make lesser grief.

Sport may seem like grief,
But this helps to bring relief.

To those who have grief,
Who should not be a thief.

To earn their living,
So help them get a better living.

They'd do anything for a living,
So please give them a shilling.

Time Can't Heal All Wounds

They say time heals all wounds
Then why does this one still bleed
You where my hero
Simply my everything
My rock
My shelter
My protector
My guide
You made everything okay
Now everything's wrong
Nothing is right
Now that you're gone
Time can't heal fatal wounds
My heart is broken
I'm out in the open
Left for dead
Forced to be the protector for others
You were the only one that would listen
I learned that too late
Now I wish I could tell you that I loved you
But I can't
This wound is one that will forever bleed
Time can't heal everything

Grief Promise Me To Leave ' Part 1

It’s a conversation between my heart and my grief at the same time
GRIEF PROMISE ME TO LEAVE (PART 1)

My heart: you promised me in the last days that you are leaving me
My grief: I loved your spirit; I found my settlement and safe in it and I
Think I will stay forever
My heart: but you promised me, and here you are broken your promise to me
My grief: I felt that you always need me so I took eternal place inside you
My heart: I didn’t need you in fact I’m tired of your vicinage to me
My grief: no you didn't see anything from me until now, it's just the beginning
My heart: what's wrong with you, you always by my side? Why you prevent the happiness to get inside my heart? And if it came in, you you will gave her only five seconds why?
My grief: I used on your broken heart
My heart: isn't there another hearts to live in it why mine?
My grief: yes there is, but I (ardent love) your soul
My heart: please go away; go away, my yearning will kill me...
My grief: ask your self? Is it possible leaving a heart his desire grief?
My heart: find another me, there is a lot of hearts are waiting
My grief: I can't? Because I lived in a heart his beatings get used on me
My heart: please mercy my wounds
My grief: I’m sorry, but this is our life
My heart: mercy my tears, my eyes dry out cause of you
My grief: I can't leave you
My heart: my friends abandon me
My grief: then they are not your friends
My heart: they left me alone and broken sitting on your chair
My grief: don't worry you are the victorious
My heart: I miss them
My grief: they are not useful for you? Cause I reside in you when you know them

Quiet
My grief controlling totally in my heart now

My heart: you are like the sword cutting me every time you come near, but I will be patient, yes I will be patient for you grief, I will...
My grief made a mockery laughing

My grief: the age rewarding me for this

My heart closed his eyes in a silent way... wait... there is a (happiness whisper) comes and cross me silently, but its mute cause the grief was controlling me totally.

happiness whisper: forgive me my friend i have no place between you, I’m died from along long time, I just came to see is grief still in your heart or he left you so I can take a place between your heart, forgive me my friend the grief is my master.

The conversation is so quiet and the calmness spread through them

My heart: don't leave me like that, come to me just for a moment I wanna taste your happiness that you got between your whispers.

Happiness whisper has left me in silent and quiet way

my heart: where are you my grief come to me, come to my heart that you used to be always, give me new promise, then may be you will reside in a heart for someone else me.
My grief: I will leave you just in one case? When I see the world opened his armful for happiness, love, and safe. In that time I want you give me the signal to leave you! !

My grief is killing my heart now

My grief: now I want you hear me your words about love that you kept torturing me in it
My heart: ok. You are the only one I’ve got now

Trust me
Cause I know the pain...
The pain is over here and over there,
Pain in my heart pain in my soul,
Pain in my skin pain in my bones...
Trust me
Cause I know the cold nights...
It’s when my heart freezing, my eyes clouded and I won't close it,
Cause I scared to see the darkness and fell the silence,
oh my God I’m closing my eyes, I can't take it any more ahhhh.....
Now I’m afraid to open it cause I don't want be alone again...
Trust me
Cause I know the loneliness...
It’s when I don't get to hear from you,
Loneliness when I know you are not here by my side,
Loneliness when I’m thinking silently about you...
Trust me
Cause I know my soul...
It’s smashed to three parts,
The first is happy,
The sec is sad,
The third is full of misery,
Ahhh... now I can fell in my soul,
Happiness was never meant for me...
Trust me
Cause I know my heart...
Aches...
Broken...
Scattered around...
Ahhh.... my heart is killing me...
My heart need to heal by some glue...
All of that because of.... ahah (keep chocking) .

My grief: enough, enough, what is all that! !
My heart: you put in me the eternal grief, you put in me the unceasing yearning, you put in me all the kinds of illusions and more, so take it it's yours....
My grief: I will leave you now my friend; I will leave you my friend.
But I want you remember that a part of me will stay in you forever…

Sonnet: Healing Wounds

The wounds of flesh can heal by drugs and care;
Remove agents opposing healing act;
Excision by doctors is something rare;
Yet, nature heals most wounds with time and tact.

The wounds by words of mouth are slow to heal;
The damage caused is incredibly huge;
The pain and misery, we always feel;
In God, we ultimately take refuge.

The tongue can speak most cruel words that hurt;
The ‘bone-less mass’ can move like fox and snake;
It craftily produces lies like dirt;
Consoling words and sounds too, it can make!

Man hurts by words in ways unpredicted;
God heals the wounds of hearts, man-inflicted.

Time Heals

If youre bleeding,
Then everyone can see youre bleeding
They can call for the doctor,
Wholl provide what the diagnosis says youre needing
Then hell take away your pain
But if your heart,
Your heart has been broken
And you dont wear it on your sleeve
No one can tell,
Your hell goes unspoken
But theres one thing you must believe
Time heals the wounds no one can see
Time heals the wounds that no one can see
If youre crying
Then everyone can see you crying
And they all sympathize
But it just doesnt matter
Though they may be trying,
They cant feel the hurt inside
You cant go on,
Youve gone to the limit
And your life seems to slip away
Youre on your own
Alone you must face it
And tomorrows so far away
You got to hold on baby
Got to give it time to heal
Time heals the wounds that no one can see
You must believe what they say is true
It dos wonders for ya, yeah, yeah

Every loss gives me a grief.
What remains then gives me relief.
Relief thus encompasses the grief.
Every loss is well sustained.

Sonnet II: Time does not bring relief

Time does not bring relief; you all have lied
Who told me time would ease me of my pain!
I miss him in the weeping of the rain;
I want him at the shrinking of the tide;
The old snows melt from every mountain-side,
And last year's leaves are smoke in every lane;
But last year's bitter loving must remain
Heaped on my heart, and my old thoughts abide.
There are a hundred places where I fear
To go - so with his memory they brim.
And entering with relief some quiet place
Where never fell his foot or shone his face
I say, 'There is no memory of him here!'
And so stand stricken, so remembering him.

Catch 22 Paradox Jig Squeezes Break Up Minds

All they need is time time time to think think things over
unfortunately time in abundance does not heal all wounds...
unfortunately time does not heal heart split nasty wounds

they wanted to be left alone after their failure with an ex
then he/she met another whom he/she didn't want...
to miss a chance a change at playing raw rebound roulette?

What essential problem is barrier he/she faces is facing for so long?
He/she wants to be free yet to belong to someone in same instant?

Great Grief

William's son, named Hamnet,
died in 1596,
aged just eleven and a half
when Will was thirty two.
Will's great grief
made greater grief
to compensate for loss.
It mixed a wild concoction,
made grieving man go mad.
Hamlet given no relief
relieved sad Shakespeare's grief.

U Thief, U Stole My Heart

U thief, U stole my heart
Oh, the grief, i am torn all apart
U thief, U stole my heart
Oh, the brief encounter, i should have known it would b
bad from the start
U thief, U stole my heart
Oh, the relief, i don't have 2 let u in, I guess even though
i will b lonely, i win
U thief, U stole my heart
Oh, the belief, y do i dare, y do i even care
U thief, U stole my heart
Oh, the mischief, i saw the signs, but i chose not 2 read
between the lines
U thief, U stole my heart
Like the falling leaf, i will just have 2 make a new start

Words for Sergeant Dakota Meyer, USMC – CMH

Someday when your construction job has helped you heal
I hope through google and the further mystery of the internet
These words will find you
The President did not speak falsely
In your dark valley you are far from alone
Your comrades - living and dead – are not alone
Indeed a nation grieves with you
Your truth is proofed
Your honor is secure
You are not alone
You are not alone
The medal is our grief
It is not your grief
Keep your grief – keep your grief
It will heal you
It will heal you
Keep your grief
The Medal is a souvenir from a place
Where there are no shops

Wounds don’t heal

My wounds don’t heal,
Get real that I have to deal with this,
Known as the girl that got hurt,
Known as a nobody,
My wounds haven’t even covered or be healed,
Its just a memory I understand that,
But my wounds haven’t heal yet,
Knowing that I was raped, hurt, broken hearted, feeling lonely,
But I am not lonely no more I have someone that’s there for me and I understand that the fact that he loves me and I love him,
Even thou only time can tell,
But did time fixed my wounds,
Did time fixed the hurt I feel,
No I don’t think so,
I feel as if I where a ghost,
Ghost of the past,
My wounds might heal but the past haunts me.

Time For Change...

It is now time for change
It is now time for love
No time for broken hearts
No time for broken promises
No time to break apart

I wanna mend your (broken) heart
let me take care of you
let me take your hand
let me be your man

It is time to change your mood
yes, it is time to change your mood
No time for broken hearts
No time for broken promises
No time to break apart

it is time to stop dwelling on the past
'cause it will not heal wounds fast
time is not in anyone's control
and time will not wait
when it is already on a roll

It is time for change
It is time for love
No time for broken hearts
No time to break apart
let me take your hand
let me be your man

A grief ago

'There is no grief
which time does not lessen
or soften' -
so said Cicero, a man so often right;
a Stoic, those for whom
all life presents a lesson
to be learned from,
and then, to move on from..

But I wonder about all this:
is grief ever lessened or softened?
Is it not, perhaps, overlaid
in our so various ways?

For some, grief framed and falsified
to ease that grief;

For some, like hyacinths and crocus bulbs,
left in a dark cupboard in the autumn of our grief
to respond to time, and
become at last
themselves?

gently, gently, the covers pulled
over the loving bed,
the true, the pure, the lovely painful grief,
the memory deep cherished,
gently, gently, folded
into the cupboards of the heart

there to be known, without the door disturbed
until the time - 'a grief ago' as Dylan wrote -
the cupboard opened only for love's sake
without grief...:
those carefully folded memories
brought out and loved
and lived a while...

not grief, not grief...but
the pure memory of grief

and behold,
life.

Bereavement

Do not get tired from grief as you are bereaved,
And bereavement is relief as you are bereaved.

Do certainty on the scene of writing, when all is leisure
And certain people believe in their belief as you are bereaved.

Does your mind seem a container of science and sea?
Then let feelings go, let them reside away from the thief as you are bereaved.

Does your partner know why marriage is sacred and solid?
Then see him or her with a measure of truth as the chief as you are bereaved.

May surrendering accomplish the goal of a life-time,
May I wish you all the best with your disbelief as you are bereaved.

Let Time fly, let innocence mend the tattered cloths and dress and uniform,
For when a person dies he or she is abject and very brief, as you are bereaved.
