Leech
some thoughts cling sometimes
to our minds like leeches
they are hard to remove
and the more you remove them
or try to pull them and throw them away
for good
the more they stick it out with you
like a deep sorrow
like an insistent sadness like
a persistent disappointment
somehow you always take chances of
finally removing them
for you know what that means
an untimely death
a calendar that crumples the numbers
of the days of the month
you get tired finally removing them one by one
because they also multiply themselves
like leeches too tricky along the banks
of a murky river
then one day you give up
another leech lands on your toes
crawls on your feet to your belly
makes a hole there and prides itself as the new
possessor of your private territory.
you watch without feelings you let it stay
your hands caress them
and your mind rests on the comfort of more pains
like vacant chairs in a vacant room
it is you there alone without any competition.

Magic
Magic,
Can attract.
To...
Keep one mesmerized,
All their lives.
And...
Without a fantasizing it,
To...
Hynotize for somebody's,
Benefit.
Magic...
Will attract.
And...
Keep one seeking to stay hook,
As if it was a drug to eat and cook.
A magic!
Whether black or white,
Is a magic...
To not be denied,
As magic...
From another place.
Removing everything taken once for granted.
It's magic!
Whether black or white,
Is a magic...
To not be denied,
As magic...
From another place.
Removing everything one took for granted.
It's magic,
From another place.
Removing everything taken once for granted.
It's magic!
Whether black or white,
And removing everything to clear one's eyes.
Magic...
Will attract,
A magic!
Whether black or white,
Is a magic...
To not be denied,
As magic...
From places unseen.
And removing false things people claim to dream.
Magic...
Will remove things seen people always take for granted.
A magic...
Will remove false things people claim to dream.
A magic...
Will remove things seen people always take for granted.
It's magic...
That removes false things people claim to dream.
It's magic...
That removes things seen people always take for granted.
Magic...
Will remove false things people claim to dream.
A magic...
Will remove things seen people always take for granted.
It's magic...

Here's a good gag if you go swimming in a swamp and when you come out you're all covered with leeches. Just say, 'Hey, has anybody seen my raisins' (Because leeches kind of look like big raisins.)

Vacant Space
this is the vacant space
of my room, you may come
this is the vacant hour
you may barge and talk simply talk
this is the vacant lot of my being
you may build your home
this is vacant
fill it with space, drag your hours here,
start watering the roses in your garden
beside your house
this is a vacant hole in my ear
talk simply talk
i am always listening
this is my vacant line, please fill in the missing
word

You Know I Couldn't Last
The whispering, May hurt you, But the printed word might kill you
The whispering, May hurt you, But the printed word might kill you So don't let the blue, The blue eyes fool you, They're just gelignite, Loaded and aiming right between your eyes
CDs and T-shirts, promos and God knows, You know I couldn't last, Someone please take me home
The teenagers, Who love you, They will wake up, yawn and kill you
The teenagers, Who love you, They will wake up, yawn and kill you
So don't let the blue, The blue eyes fool you, They're just gelignite, Loaded and aiming right between your eyes
CDs and T-shirts, promos and God knows, You know I couldn't last, Someone please take me home
There's a cash register ringing and, It weighs so heavy on my back, Someone please take me home
The critics who, Can't break you, They somehow help to make you , The critics who, Can't break you, Unwittingly they make you
So don't let the good days, Of the gold discs, Creep up and mug you
With evil legal eagles, You know I couldn't last, Accountants rampant, You know I couldn't last
Every -ist and every -ism, Thrown my way to stay, And the northern leeches go on, Removing, removing, removing
Then in the end, Your royalties bring you luxuries, Your royalties bring you luxuries, Oh but

Self-talk In That Secret....
at the end
i am about to cry
something bothers me
somehow
i can't
i hold the knob of the
door
tightly
i want to go out from
this old house
and be with you
but i finally loosen
my hold
and go back to the room
of myself
the law speaks
tradition warns that something
may happen
and i cannot take
all the possible
harsh
consequences
and so i give up my life
and meaning
i stay in the comfort of ordinary
days
unhappily
but it is worth it
when i come back i find a house where i
can still live
it is you that makes me live some more
in the blur of our memories
when you are finally gone
with no address t refer to
(you never write me letters)
i stay put on my chair
and immerse myself in the deep silence
of my sad thoughts
it is the case again
of i want to go but i must stay
same rehashed argument
when i ask you if you are happy
your answer is yes and no,
but i understand it perfectly
it is the same answer that i write
in my journal
in those three perfect days
i forgive myself
but i can never forget you
love stays
but time shall always try to vanish it
without
our consent

Editing Bukowski, Without His Permission
i
Long walks at night-
that's what good for the soul:
peeking into windows
watching tired housewives
trying to fight off
their beer-maddened husbands.

(i am a minimalist, how about removing the last line,
ok, i will try)
Long walks at night-
that's what good for the soul:
peeking into windows
watching tired housewives
trying to fight off
iii
(hey, how about removing the first line,
the long walks are not really necessary,
ok)
that's what good for the soul:
peeking into windows
watching tired housewives
trying to fight off
iv
(hmm
why not remove the third and fourth,
it sounds good to me...
yeah, i will)
that's what good for the soul:
watching tired housewives

(what about using only one word
to make the poem
very brief?
ok.. i will leave the most important one)

Live As If You're Getting What It Is
Remove the 'maybe'
From the things you need.
Remove the 'maybe'
From dreams you want to see.
Remove the heartache,
From those setbacks.
Keep on trying.
Your wishes with those wants,
Will someday end that teasing.
Remove the 'maybe'
From hope and faith.
Do whatever that hardwork takes.
Remove the sadness from your smile.
And live as if you're getting what it is...
And it's tasty!
Remove the 'maybe'
From the things you need.
Remove the 'maybe'
From dreams you want to see.
Remove the heartache,
From those setbacks.
And live as if you're getting what it is...
And it's tasty!
Spiced the way you like it,
And tasty!

Takes Your Breath Away
all the cards have been dealt
and your heart is now a black hole
you wait and wait for that one moment
the one they say takes your breath away
and when he has finally shown it
and you think its here to stay
The day you were swept off your feet
The day you were saved from despair
that day your heart struck a beat
He makes it disappear
but now you are in too deep
and all you can do is stare
it must all just be a dream
when you finally dared
to go for something that was so unclear
he said 'we will always be together'
but you fall back into despair
and you think back when he said forever
Even though he gave you the best happiness in the world
He also gave you the greatest sadness that has ever been known

Know It, And It Is Done
Stop feeding yourself discouragement.
That is not the purpose,
Why you are meant to live.
Removing yourself from entrapments,
Of failure...
Opens your heart,
To receive goodness.
And that you in return,
Without thought...
Will come to learn to give!
Stop listening to those in self defeat.
Those who solicit others,
To understand their limitations.
Recognize their wish,
To unseat you from your comfort.
Your peace of mind,
You can not afford to just dismiss.
Sit in quietness!
Allow a clearness to come.
Remove yourself from calamities,
That seem to attract everyone.
Tell yourself you are deserving,
Of happiness and love.
Tell yourself that!
And know that is true.
You are not here to bear,
The burdens of anyone.
Undo it and be through!
Stop feeding yourself discouragement.
That is not the purpose,
Why you are meant to live.
Removing yourself from entrapments,
Of failure...
Opens your heart,
To receive goodness.
And that you in return,
Without thought...
Will come to learn to give!
You are not here to spite life at all.
In fact...
You have the right,
To be excited.
To explore a life delighted.
And that is why...
Your life is here to be lived!
Know it,
And it is done!

War Means
War Means death
War Means destruction
War Means fire
War Means bombing
War Means sorrow
War Means turmoil
War Means tears
War Means guns
War Means blood
War Means confusion
War Means explosions
War Means mutilation
War Means sickness
War Means killing
War Means occupation
War Means loss
And lots more
But after one side
Or the other side
Has finally had enough
And lays down their arms
To surrender and give up
War Means Peace

The Storm In My Sea Finally Subsided...,
the storm of my sea finally subsides
i am a chinese silk spread on the tranquility of the salty water
seagulls leave because there is no fish to hunt
and take upon their hungry beaks
i have no regret, i have finally seen the sun
across my whiter horizon
i see boats and nets spread on my surface
i am a very calm day
soon the children will come and play
throw balls on my white sands
fill this space with laughter and not one of them will ask
what a storm was, where there was a house here before but was
taken by the rage of the wind
gone,
the children have nothing to do with the past
they are not meant for that
an old man arrives with a grandson, being helped to sit on one of the chairs in the shore under a shade of a big old tree
he is the thinker of this storm this place
he knows everything, but he is silent as a dead leaf on his feet
he rests his head on a pillow puts his feet and hands in the fold
wears his dark sunglasses and stares at the far far horizon
i will join him when the sun finally sets, when the color of the horizon turns into orange and then black
as i turn off the light.

Unwanted Company
I have this moment of joy
That a new day has come.
The feeling of happiness that you are gone.
Then, the heaviness sinks in
You are still here!
I do not want you around me
The feelings of sorrow and sadness that you bring me
What have I done to attract you?
I do not want you.
I bare the dagger in my heart
that you have placed
I can not remove it
you are much stronger.
I have everything
that a women desires
except the company of you.
I know this is who you are
But, please I do not want you.
I always remember the days
When you haven't found me
The joy, the felicity
The happiness I felt
how I miss you happiness
I still put a smile on my face
that you can not
take away from me
If it's real or not
I will never give that to you.
I know deep down inside
happiness we will meet again...

Scarlet Cloak
The scarlet cloak of loneliness
covers my sorrowed soul
and my gentle heart is benign
to any chosen fact.
Each day I gather straws
I reach out to cling to
but each one snaps within my grasp
and I wonder what I’ll do.
The hollow world I live in
echoes my vacant thoughts.
Even the hues of colours that
surround me everyday
cannot remove this scarlet cloak
that wants to smother me away.

Sloughing
They always like
To be full with
Knowledge
Something
Old fashioned
But I like
To be empty
And vacant
To renew
To be light
By shedding
Anything
Of my life
as it becomes
Junk scripted
Bond
Overused
Tired
Unsuitab le
For the life
Modern
Unable to explain
Unpredictable
Meet
The challenge
Of the present
Demand
Though
They are very fearful
I am very brave
To be ignorant
Again
Of loss and profit
In love and life
As it was bliss
Even a slight piece
of anything used
To keep me
Smilling and pleased
As I did not know
what was happening
in their mind
Behind
Now it is a burden
as I know
What going on
under the layers
Room green
Back the curtain.
The soul was
Like a white paper
Now
Full of black ink
It is blocking
The new
Removing
Simplicity and virtue
Very fast
Getting rust
Like a piece
Metal iron
I like
To shed
To reboot
Before spring
Born again
To be
A new leaf.
I like to log off
To log on
With a gust
Of wind
full of vitality
To run again
Fresh and clean
To gather anew
On peace and love
Life and death
I need
To delete
Files and cookies
To have
Space.
A place
Blank
calm, cool
welcome
Loneliness
Out of the din
Rouge thoughts
Of the old streets
To think
To feel
Deeper and more deep.

You Are Old Now....
...because others had it
you want it too,
you work to have it, work so hard,
connect, have a network
you push
you pull strings,
even at noon,
when the heat is
painful,
(deep within you you do not need it
you can live without it, you are different from all these
ambitious
selfish, power takers)
then, you finally get it
but then, when you prepare to go
dress yourself well, comb your hair,
put some smile in your face,
you finally face the truth that this thing is giving you harm
and never good
this arrogance, and
conceit,
and then, you surrender,
throw away
that which you have worked so hard for
you are old now,
and there is no more time left for you to be
real.

When My Mind Is Vacant
I love it when my mind is vacant.
A feeling of no need to please,
Immediately surrounds me...
With an ease I can deal with.
There are no imposed ideals to impress.
And I feel free to care even less.
I love it when my mind is vacant.
No pressure at all I carry,
To deliver intelligent thoughts I might think.
And no one there to ask for mink!
~I just thought I'd throw that in,
To see if you were paying any attention...
To this love affair I have with self.~
Seriously...
Don't you feel good,
When you mysteriously catch people...
Minding their own business?
And you know 'something' is special about this.
So you do the best you can,
To introduce your mind to more rest.
I love it when my mind is vacant.
No pressure at all I carry,
To deliver intelligent thoughts I might think.
And no one there to ask for mink!
And I am left not to enforce those delusions on myself!
Why is my telephone ringing at this hour of the day?
'Mister Pertillar, I know you're there.
This is Robert Clarke from Clarke Collections.
We need to talk about your 'commitment to pay'.
Mister Pertillar? Mister Pertillar? I suggest you receive my call!
Mister Pertillar? This is going to have an adverse reflection,
On your credit standing!
You are going to ruin your future capabilities to get a loan.'
Shucks!
I made a commtment to stay married too.
But that didn't work out either!
Well,
Like I was saying...
I love it when my mind is vacant.
A feeling of no need to please,
Immediately surrounds me...
With an ease I can deal with.
There are no imposed ideals to impress.
And I feel free to care even less.

Poetry in Me.........
Oh poetry my friend inside, dormant thoughts lie,
Anger writes the feelings in the speed of thought,
I swing the axe to split the block of inspiration
Mind Pictures in my words sleeping under dreams.
Happiness and sadness hold hands in the whirlpool of words
Metaphor movies flicker in my brain,
Venting feelings to flow from my pen,
Celestial images punctuated live as
Syllables jostle for rhythm’s flow.
Oh poetry my friend inside, dormant thoughts lie,
I find comfort deep within as we write together
With your silent guide my friend,
In the cutting room snakes strangle the ‘odd’ word
Oh poetry my friend inside, dormant thoughts lie,
I find comfort deep within as we write together
With your silent guide my friend,
In the cutting room snakes strangle the ‘odd’ word
Then wonders mark unfolds, originality leaps forth.
My eyes close feeling tired the hour is late
On this session I must close the gate,
Oh poetry my friend inside, dormant thoughts sleep,
A silent friend to keep.

Evolution [my Life's Journey]
Oh how sad it makes me feel
As I hear the footsteps of my youth
Grow fainter and fainter with every passing day
Leaving me nothing but memories,
Of my boundless energy and my lust for life
Seeking knowledge and truths
Looking forward to the days and years ahead
Letting my imagination take me to places
I may never see except through my minds eye
Where melting snows became a raging river,
Or blowing snow and howling wind,
Became a far off desert
But as reality took over fantasy
What we once could see is no longer visible
And just like a sculptor father time etching our faces
Taking away our youth with each strike of his chisel
With the hammer of time
Removing what was and leaving us with what is to be
Oh how we cling to those days of our youth
For those were the days when the world was ours
