it is not a refusal to be full
it is just the emptiness that keeps on digging
there is a hole
inside you and nothing fills it

and you arrive at a chasm

Don't Say That Too Loudly
What on 'Earth' are they doing,
With their shovels below?
And doing it in such a frantic pace.
'Trying their best to escape from reality.
And hoping they will chase the effects away.'
By digging themselves into a deeper hole?

I cant even look at this skin tonight
Knowing that our time here is on a while

Ive found a reason to dig deep down.

To The Edge of Despair Worry Took Me
To the edge of despair worry took me
and the bottomless pit I could see.
Then the awful chasm opened wide
and I felt myself falling inside.
Slipping and sliding as I went down
and in the bleakness began to drown.
All dark and sombre it seemed to be
I wondered what would happen to me.
Then deeper and deeper in I fell
and I thought I'd fallen into hell.
How long I was there I do not know
for each day dragged on so very slow.
When at rock bottom I called out
to the Lord my God Who heard my shout
and in the depth He reached down to me,
lifting me out and setting me free.

The Hole
A friend of mine bought himself a shovel
Said im gonna tunnel me a mine
He set out to be a rich man
Happiness is what he thought hed fine
Got in to deep to see the diamond
Down to dark to see the gold
Now he wont let go of the shovel
And he cant dig out of the hole
Deeper and deeper hes going down
Driving his future right into the ground
He thinks hes closer the further he goes
But hes still on the bottom
And he cant dig out of the hole
I tried to throw the man a life line
I tried to send him down a rope
I dont think he hears me calling
But everyday I pray and hope

The Hole In The Doughnut
i am full
eating is useless
my stomach
has no purpose
i have this doughnut
and i raise
it in space
and i look through
its hole

what is the reason

the hole has more
content
than the doughnut
itself

I Pulled Out My Shovel (Quatrain)
I Pulled Out My Shovel (Quatrain)
I pulled out my shovel
And dug a little hole
I dug even deeper
Trying to kill a mole
The digging was easy
The hole grew more and more
Then I thought to myself
I should have used my bore
I dug into the den
But the mole wasn't there
It was almost as if
It vanished in mid air
Then I saw a tunnel
It veered off to the right
So I thought to myself
I'd dig into the night
So I kept on digging
Until it petered out
Then I grew quite angry
So I had to shout
I never found that mole
But I did dig a hole
And filled it with a pole

There is a certain meaning to it.
For people who are born to do this.
It's not on the surface to depict.
With an easy category to assign to it.
It's a feeling deeper.
