I have heard of your paintings too, well enough; God has given you one face, and you make yourselves another.

Up until 35 I had a slightly skewed world view. I honestly believed everybody in the world wanted to make abstract paintings, and people only became lawyers and doctors and brokers and things because they couldn't make abstract paintings.

I will always find even the worst paintings that attempt some kind of representation better than the best invented paintings.
I have no ideas about what the paintings imply about the world. I don't think that's a painter's business. He just paints paintings without a conscious reason.

We've Heard It All Before
Einstein, he said, nothings original
Find something new, That's easy for him to say
Took his whole life explaining his theory
Try squeezing your life into 3 minute songs like
"My love, your face is a symphony
You play the strings of my heart
Say that we never shall part
If you say goodbye, then I'll surely die without you"
Oh, we've heard it all before
Oh, we've heard it all before
Don't wanna hear it anymore
We've heard it, we've heard it (oy)
We've heard it, we've heard it (oy)
We've heard it, we've heard it (oy)
We've heard it, we've heard it (oy)
We've come a long way from mono to stereo
Mozart would freak at the crap on the radio
Hits all produced by computer technology
Stick it in one end, it comes out the other
"My love, your face is a symphony
You play the strings of my heart
Say that we never shall part
If you say goodbye, then I'll surely die without you"
Oh, we've heard it all before
Oh, we've heard it all before
Don't wanna hear it anymore
We've heard it, we've heard it (oy)
We've heard it, we've heard it (oy)
We've heard it, we've heard it (oy)
We've heard it, we've heard it (oy)
You plug us in and we regurgitate the hits
Bombard your senses with sound of microchips
Program it digitally into the top five
Brainwash your ears, is it tape or is it live?
Live, live, live, live, live, live, live, live, live
Oh, we've heard it all before, we've heard it, we've heard it
Oh, we've heard it all before, we've heard it, we've heard it
Don't wanna hear it anymore, we've heard it, we've heard it
Oh, we've heard it all before, we've heard it, we've heard it
Oh

My Life as Simulacra
Xerox your paintings,
Deposit them in a screen.
Avoid the decay
Of natural processes—
Disintegration.
Preserve your thoughts in this way:
As a copy of
Expression. If that seems cold,
Burn the real paintings for warmth.

You were told how much space so it was a matter of whether you could send in two paintings or three paintings, you know, pending where the show was being held. You did submit work to be accepted. Once you were accepted that was it. You did your own selection of what went in.

Face To Face
Key:-
A - anita
R - ray
A: face to face and eye to eye
Face to face and eye to eye
Face to face and eye to eye
Face to face and eye to eye
R: leaves from the tree, fall down on the floor
Life comes and goes, you cant ignore
Touch your soul when you finally realize
Youve heard it all before all the lies
Youre on a mission, no time for wishing
It can be magic, like a magician
Face to face and eye to eye
This is your last and final try
A: face to face and eye to eye
We look the world right in the eye
Face to face and eye to eye
Youve one last chance and baby, so will i
R: will we all succeed or is it over soon?
Nobody around just stars and the moon
A race against the clock, is there some time?
Just wait for the light, wait for the sign
You made the same mistakes that you made in the past
Didnt help you out, didnt make you last
Face to face and eye to eye
This was your last and final try
A: face to face and eye to eye
We look the world right in the eye
Face to face and eye to eye
Youve one last chance and baby, so have i
R: face to face and eye to eye
This is you last and final try
A: face to face and eye to eye
We look the world right in the eye
Face to face and eye to eye
Youve one last chance and baby, so will i
A: face to face and eye to eye
We look the world right in the eye
Face to face and eye to eye
Youve one last chance and baby, so have i

Before Orgasm
Your midnight laughter
And dark red wine,
Your face of classical paintings
And your supple arms
Enlacing my heart
With a simple embrace
Make everything clear….
Life is lovely treachery
Like being tortured with feathers
Or postponing forever
The achingly tender moment
Before orgasm.

I take this art very seriously and passionately. I love what I do. You can't help but grow. That's not to say you don't make mistakes or make bad choices, but that's part of the art. Painters paint bad paintings.

Maybe I am looking at Eve
Two paintings
look back at me:
The one girl is shy
and stripped to her middle
with auburn hair
covering a breast
and the other
hanging round and firm
tipped by
a pink brown nipple.
The big eyes of the other
are greener than grass
and laurel is wreathed
through her auburn hair
hanging in strings
of a fairy like girl
whose complexion
glows pink and alive
and she’s dressed
in big green leaves
holding some purple lavender
in a unseen hand
and I like to think
that both paintings
shows the same girl
and maybe
I am looking at Eve.

From Lip to Ear
'I thought you did not like me.'
Oh?
Did I tell you that?
'No.'
Oh,
So my actions expressed it?
'No.'
I see,
So how did you determine I disliked you?
'That's what I heard.'
I see...
Remember the last time I asked how you were?
And we were face to face?
And you neglected to ask me the same?
'Yeah...
But I didn't have time to stop to chat!
I nodded my head.
And that's a fact.'
I see.
Well,
Let me say this within listening distance...
Get-Out-Of-My-Face.
Take that and share it with your reliable sources.
And make sure you put emphasis,
On how nasty I was, okay?
And IF we should cross paths again...
You will have reason to roll your eyes.
I give what I deliver,
From lip to ear.
Not through clogged up and petty party lines.
'I heard you were a nasty and bitter person.'
Great!
Now you have that confirmed.

Thigh Ignition
Ms Grimslee?
Have you had too much to drink?
When I said I enjoy the fresh approach,
You use to deliver realism to your artwork.
I meant that.
Did you misunderstand me?
I said, 'I enjoy sniffing your paintings! '
Not your 'panties'.
Is this the private viewing you wanted to show me?
Would you put them back on.
Let's join the others where your paintings are on exhibit!
~Forgive me!
Will you please keep this between us!
This is most embarrassing.~
I am still interested in purchasing, 'Thigh Ignition'
What scent is that did you use?
It reminds me of tuna!

Never Met Her
Ive never met her, and I dont mind
Ive seen her face a thousand times
She hides behind her hair
And I wonder if her love is like mine
Face up, Ill face the day
Three weeks, you flew away
Ill never blame her
Ill never let you make me hate a girl that way
Touchdown, I hear you scored
I heard you slide out through the back door
Ive never met her
But when I do, Ill thank her for saving me from you
Thank her for saving me from you

School report
You stood behind me
Watching, looking over my shoulder
I saw you writing
'Could have done better'!
I screwed up the paper
It missed the bin
My destination.... to write? ? or
There was more poetry in watching you
Unravelling the argument from your eyes
Burning still
So much passion lost in trying
So many paintings in the making
I make a sketch
Without true features
Passed blurring
Life is moving just below the windowsill
Shapes and bodies swimming
Pools of light ripple on the water
Barely visable
But not for want of trying
Crowds full of paintings
Shaken petals on a black wet pavement? I Pound a quote out!
[badly.......]
Words barely visable
Losing their way
Returning to nothing
I can see you watching
I watch you writing
'Could do better'
Barely visable
Not for the want of trying
I laugh and give myself an A for 'effort'
An A? What the hell does that mean?
In this world something has to make sense,
Survival after all must be 'worth surviving for! '
Not for the want of trying,
The want, of 'trying!

At the beginning of the 20th century, the ambition of the great painters was to make paintings that were like music, which was then considered as the noblest art.
Divine
Poems after poems
Painted love as divine
Songs after songs
Hug and wet kiss
Are treated as eternal bliss
Paintings after paintings
Soft touch and sex
Are depicted as ambrosial
Heavenly things are in this world
Worldly things are in the heaven
Then, no difference
Between this world and the world after?
