Be Strong
like a rope
of steel
to make a bridge
and connect
two distant
islands
i walk in
do not snap.

To Calm The Water
Compromise is like a bridge
That will connect two islands,
With the troubled water untouched.
Concerns only calm the water.

Ropes, , , ,
an umbilical cord
is a rope
mother cuts it
for good
despite this
an imaginary cord still exists
between two minds
a bridge
where no one wants to
walk
imagination is cut
there is now an empty space
sort of conceived
independence
for me to grow
and be full
between us the bridge
must be broken
no ropes this time
no binding bond
between two continents
will always be an ocean
giant ships travel
a hundred whales
swim
i like is this way
between us
the Pacific ocean
no islands
just waves so huge
that sometimes
we are brave enough
in hopelessness
no ropes this time
no hands and arms
between us
this blinding darkness
this utter silence

Our Two Souls
my soul is as distant as the seven oceans
to yours
what long bridge shall we make
to connect them?
the silent patient bridges of time
eons and eons
till your ghostly fingers touch mine?

Between You And Me....
there could have been a bridge
even just a word to connect us and form a ring
a hollowness between
a hole
where both of us can pass through
and then leave all these
between a you and
i, there must be a word to describe
that wish for closeness
the intimacy that nudity speaks about
my hands clothe your body and make you another body
between my body and your body
there must at least be a syllable to make a sound of this silence between us
we hear a faint music of a distant phonograph
between us is a phrase
between us is an incomplete clause thirsty
of meaning
this unsatisfactory of ordinary humanity
this imperfection between us a word a bridge a rainbow an arrow
inside us are wounds and maggots
outside us are the words of laughter written off in air.

Bridge To Our Hearts
Hiding behind the truth and avoiding me
but can you denying how it feel?
u keep forgetting me
Perhaps u forget our memory?
Too much sorry
u believe silence build for thinking
Restless about silence is waiting
dont hate to love
never love to hate
it just me, u and time
ground and sky maybe far
for me it just a different space
sun and star maybe different
i talk with stars at night
and sun still warm me everyday
friend is not about hating
friend is all about loving
so break the silence
lets break the wall
start build the bridge
to link our hearts

New idea but not be included..should i? ?
Bridge is important to connect two parts,
Broader soul bridge will connect for someone between two hearts
Be a way for a soul to walk and visit another in place called heart
But when communication was stopped, left as abandoned yard
So keep manage to keep bride stronger even time goes hard
Remember, a bridge is a door of our hearts

Between Us
between us is this chasm of silence
we are like a river
and i am on the other side of its banks
at the middle is this haze of the fog
and the transparency of twilight
between us is the thread of a word
a line of syllables that must connect us
to connect our loneliness
you on the other side has only to utter the words
but you cannot do it
neither I, and so we have become the widest sea
without a shore. Now we are faraway islands.

Faith—is the Pierless Bridge
915
Faith—is the Pierless Bridge
Supporting what We see
Unto the Scene that We do not—
Too slender for the eye
It bears the Soul as bold
As it were rocked in Steel
With Arms of Steel at either side—
It joins—behind the Veil
To what, could We presume
The Bridge would cease to be
To Our far, vacillating Feet
A first Necessity.

Down At The Bridge
I went down to the (? ? ? ? ? )
Didnt really know what I was going for
Must have been a stroke of destiny
Thats a break (into me)? ?
We met in the frozen food section
It was mrs. swanson love connection
Down at the bridge. down down down at the bridge
Down at the bridge. down down down at the bridge
You can really tell a lot about a man
By if he likes his peaches to eat fresh or canned
Does he like tide or prefer wisk
Ive never go to know a guy as good as this
You ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?
It was love at first sigh, there was no denying
Down at the bridge. down down down at the bridge
Down at the bridge. down down down at the bridge
? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?
Its not real fast, but it goes real far
Like what I say, wouldnt have it any other way way way
I walk slowly towards you down the aisle
I got this future flash and it made me smile
I knew right then I had better leave or forever hold my peace
Put your grocery bag inside my cart
And I knew Id never get ya out of my heart
Down at the bridge. down down down at the bridge
Down at the bridge. down down down at the bridge

Dont tell me to snap out of it
Dont tell me to snap out of it
Why must you Tell me this?
The same thing day in day out.
Just snap out of it.
Its easier said than done.
When one has been in such
Emotional pain.
Lost in their fears
Not noing which way to go.
Im so very low
And all you can say is
Just snap out of it
Dont be stupid.
Why must you be so blind?
Its not so easy to do
Just snap out of it.
Open your eyes
Stop being iggnorant.
I cant simpily
Just snap out of it.

Holding On
Holding On
Written by: Wilfred Charles Mellers, Sunday, October 14,2012
A friend once told me it was going to be difficult, yet I held on
Years have past and yet I am still holding on
The rope that holds us together has become frayed, yet I still hold on
Time passes by and the rope that binds us has become a string, yet I still hold on
Worn now down to its last strand, yet I still hold on
If the rope should snap and I plummet to my demise, I will still be clutching on
I will go kicking and screaming knowing that through all the difficulties I never let go
I relentlessly kept holding on

My Need
[CHORUS:]
My love
My need
Tonight
I feel so tight
My love
My need
Tonight
Just how I like
I know
You know
What exactly's on my mind
I can't help
Myself
Part of how I feel tonight
Won't make
Excuses
I just want you inside baby
We don't
Need to
Talk about no promises
[CHORUS]
Let just
Pretend
That we have no more tomorrow
Can't we
Make love
Like it's our last time baby
Let's not
Get too
Soft and gentle
Am not
Feelin
In no mood to play around
[CHORUS]
[BRIDGE]
I need you
Like the flowers need the rain
I need you
Like the blues needs the pain
I need you
Like the stars need the night
I need you
Like the waves need the sea
[CHORUS]
[BRIDGE]
My love
My love
My love
My love

Steel & Glass
(this is a story about your friend and mine
Who is it, who is it, who is it? )
There you stand with your l.a. tan
And your new york walk and your new york talk
Youre mother left you when you were small
But youre gonna wish you wasnt born at all
Steel and glass
Steel and glass
Steel and glass
Steel and glass
Your phone dont ring no one answers your call
How does it feel to be off the wall
Well your mouthpiece squawks as he spreads your lies
But you cant pull strings if your hands are tied
Well your teeth are clean but your mind is capped
You leave your smell like an alley cat
Steel and glass
Steel and glass
Steel and glass
Steel and glass

God Knows
God knows you aint pretty,
God knows its true.
God knows there aint anybody
Ever gonna take the place of you.
God knows its a struggle,
God knows its a crime,
God knows theres gonna be no more water
But fire next time.
Bridge #1:
God didnt call it treason,
God didnt call it wrong,
It was supposed to last a season
But its been so strong for so long.
God knows its fragile,
God knows everything,
God knows it could snap apart right now
Just like putting scissors to a string.
Bridge #2:
God knows its terrifying,
God sees it all unfold,
Theres a million reasons for you to be crying
You been so bold and so cold.
God knows that when you see it,
God knows youve got to weep,
God knows the secrets of your heart,
Hell tell them to you when youre asleep.
God knows theres a river,
God knows how to make it flow,
God knows you aint gonna be taking
Nothing with you when you go.
God knows theres a purpose,
God knows theres a chance,
God knows you can rise above the darkest hour
Of any circumstance.
God knows theres a heaven,
God knows its out of sight,
God knows we can get all the way from here to there
Even if weve got to walk a million miles by candlelight.

Making Love To Concrete
An upright abutment in the mouth
of the Willis Avenue bridge
a beige Honda leaps the divider
like a steel gazelle inescapable
sleek leather boots on the pavement
rat-a-tat-tat best intentions
going down for the third time
stuck in the particular
You cannot make love to concrete
if you care about being
non-essential wrong or worn thin
if you fear ever becoming
diamonds or lard
you cannot make love to concrete
if you cannot pretend
concrete needs your loving
To make love to concrete
you need an indelible feather
white dresses before you are ten
a confirmation lace veil milk-large bones
and air raid drills in your nightmares
no stars till you go to the country
and one summer when you are twelve
Con Edison pulls the plug
on the street-corner moons Walpurgisnacht
and there are sudden new lights in the sky
stone chips that forget you need
to become a light rope a hammer
a repeatable bridge
garden-fresh broccoli two dozen dropped eggs
and a hint of you
caught up between my fingers
the lesson of a wooden beam
propped up on barrels
across a mined terrain
between forgiving too easily
and never giving at all.

Eloquently Stated
You keep insisting to connect yourself with values,
I can not identify.
Like honesty.
You are constantly in hide and seek mode.
So honesty you may wish exists.
But from you...
That does not show.
Devotion and loyalty?
The words I hear.
But those actions from you I disbelieve.
Unless they have been gift wrapped...
And you're presenting them now to me!
Trust?
I've seen that scrawled on the side a bus.
Were you on it?
And your wave escaped my attention?
You keep insisting to connect yourself with values,
I can not identify.
Not with you.
But then again...
You always fantasized yourself a magician.
And I do have a wish you can fulfill.
You can snap your fingers and disappear.
Leaving us both to keep that secret to ourselves.
How is that for accomodating both of our desires?
As you have so eloquently stated!

If I Were To Listen To You
when i was a child
you want me to become an adult
so i may earn a living myself
and then you are relieved
of any responsibility
(or a burden shall i say?)
and then when i become a adult
you want me to become a child again
to cheer you up and help you remember
the happy times of innocence
those times when sins
and lapses are forgivable
to relieve you of your guilt
(or a scruple shall i say)
if i were to listen to you
what shall i become of myself?
i am glad we have become distant islands
and there shall be no bridge possible
no sail no mail no tail

Walk Tall
The simple minded
And the uninformed
Can be easily led astray
And those that cannot connect the dots
Hey look the other way
People believe what they want to believe
When it makes no sense at all
And i wish you along the sideline
had the strength to walk tall
Walk tall
Yeah walk on
Through this world
Walk tall
Somewhere out in the distance
Is the death of you and me
Even though we dont think of it much
Its still out there for us to see
If you treat life like a bar room fight
Youll die stinking of gin
No drunkards are allowed in heaven
No sinners will get in
Walk tall
Yeah, walk on
Walk tall
Through this world
Walk tall
So be careful in what you believe in
Theres plenty to get you confused
And in this land called paradise
You must walk in many mens shoes
Bigotry and hatred are enemies to us all
Grace, mercy and forgiveness
Will help a man walk tall
So walk tall
Yeah, walk on
Walk tall
Through this world
Through this world
Yeah, walk tall
Then walk on
Walk tall
Then walk on
Through this world
Through this world
Through this world
Through this world
Walk tall
Walk tall
Then walk on
Walk tall

Jumping Rope
We are jumping rope together
we are jumping rope together
unwinding naughty knots of tether
we are jumping rope together
We are jumping rope together
we are skipping beats together
pouting panting chasing chants
unraveling rigid wraps to sever
We are jumping rope together
we are jumping rope together
jointly jogging jagged breath
suddenly we
sneeze!

Soul Mate
your legs do not make me
a waterfall,
your tongue do not make me
a river,
i am static as a rock
amidst this turmoil
i am a rope between two pillars
that do not snap out,
it is strange
i do not delight in that skin and
flesh,
it is over now, and i arrive at the
conclusion
i am not a vampire that needs
your blood
i am no dog to your bone,
i do not wish to taste anymore of
your flesh
it is not over yet
i still love what essence is there
i am looking for what you are not
to me
for all these years
i like you are air to my lungs
as memory to my mind,
i like the conclusion now
my soul wants to feel yours.

Jump (The Velvet Rope)
Some people get lucky
Born with a silver spoon
Other people got to work real hard
A whole life of paying dues
One man got a big old house
Fast car and swimming pool
Another man got a big old wife
Ten kids and one bathroom
[PRE-CHORUS]
Sometimes
We're just stuck
Behind
The velvet rope [x2]
[CHORUS]
You gotta jump up so high
Jump up jump over the rope
You gotta jump up so high
Jump up jump the rope
Some people get lucky
Take a chance to strike it rich
Other people wll they bet it all lose
Ain't life a bitch
One man's on the guest list
Arrives in a limousine
Another man got to stand on line
Outside in the pouring rain
[BRIDGE]
We got the world on a string
Wrapped around our fingers
We got everything we need
We don't need a thing
There ain't no rope that can hold us
Nothing keeps us down
There ain't a rope that can bind us
We're gonna jump up off the ground
