A Woman With Two Navels
she may exist and i may see her
and her two navels,
it does not matter,
what matters most is the doughnut
that empty part,
that looks like a hole
i can always
complete it.

The Hole In The Doughnut
i am full
eating is useless
my stomach
has no purpose
i have this doughnut
and i raise
it in space
and i look through
its hole
i want to see
what is the reason
for emptiness
the hole has more
content
than the doughnut
itself
i put my finger
inside it
and somehow
i begin to feel
confident
inside the hole
i know
i am not alone anymore.
inside the hole
again i become whole.

Nothing Even Matters
Now the skies could fall
Not even if my boss should call
The world it seems so very small
'Cause nothing even matters at all
Nothing even matters
Nothing even matters at all
Nothing even matters
Nothing even matters at all
See I don't need no alcohol
Your love makes me feel ten feet tall
Without it I'd go through withdrawal
'Cause nothing even matters at all
Nothing even matters
Nothing even matters at all
Nothing even matters
Nothing even matters at all
These buildings could drift out to sea
Some natural catastrophe
Still there's no place I'd rather be
'Cause nothing even matters to me
Nothing even matters
Nothing even matters to me
Nothing even matters
Nothing even matters to me
You're part of my identity
I sometimes have the tendency
To look at you religiously
'Cause nothing even matters to me
Nothing even matters
Nothing even matters to me
Nothing even matters
Nothing even matters to me
Now you won't find me at no store
I have no time for manicures
With you it's never either or
'Cause nothing even matters no more
Nothing even matters
Nothing even matters no more
Nothing even matters
Nothing even matters no more
Now my team could score
And make it to the Final Four
Just repossess my 4x4
'Cause nothing even matters no more
Nothing even matters
Nothing even matters no more
Nothing even matters
Nothing even matters no more

Upon Being Numb
at the end
one sees what matters
nothing really
matters
one finally says yes
to everything
whatever comes
without question one embraces
as part of
its existence
whatever is taken
one nods
and admits that it is always
rightly taken
at the end
you arrive at a dead
end
it is destiny
it is always that fate that tells you
you are here and you have
arrived
always at the right hour
there are no more questions
and so
as a matter of consequence
there too are no more answers
it is empty as light and space
it is an erasure of everything that is written
at the end
one really can see nothing at all
nothing matters
nothing taken
nothing given
at the end you smile
what a wasted lifetime!

The Face
The face that matters
The voice that matters
The walk that matter
The eyes that matter
The lips that matter
The hair that matters
The tippet that matters
The annulets that matter
The ear-rings that matter
The bangles that matter
The lines on your hand
The lines on your forehead
The breath you take
The perfume you smell
All that matter to me.

Whether We Are Dogs Or Men
whether we are dogs
or gods
or men
it does not really matter
if we believe in nothing at all
if we believe
that there is no reason why the wind blows to the west
why the birds build their own nests
why glaciers exist
why we write poems
it matters. why we always want to say something
and open our hearts
for them to see the white doves
flying there
it matters. why we wake up and wash our face.
why we ask. why we look for answers.
whether gods or dogs or simply men.
it matters now when we begin to believe
about eternity.
this sense of being incomplete.
the want to be
completed. it matters now. whether we are dogs or gods or simply
men.

Doughnut
She works in a doughnut outlet
as a part-time in the evenings
and the day time she goes
to a high school.
A handsome Shoeshine
shone in the sunlight
with his sachet on the pavement.
Nothing to be surprised
and they are eternal lovers
under the vast sky.
It's always and everywhere
there are obstacles
occur to the innocent love.
In the Municipality
the Mayor has passed a bill
to clear the road of vendors
and the doughnut shop was closed
as the Proprietor in bankruptcy.

what you have you found about me
and my files?
lots of virus
nothing about aids
some worms, and
clots, and
scars,
makes everything slow down
as they used to be
can't find love in the files?
what did you find somehow?
are these matters transparent?
can they kill?
there is a hole
a void in everything, do not think that it is just contained
in the doughnut
there is a void in
lOve too, nothing much in lUst, i tell you, i have been there,
for one thing, you think too much about what people say
God's judgment
i admire Rey for telling me
he is just human, and will be human in the form of happiness.

Disaster In A Halo
Lately I've been thinking about what you said
Time is growing old and I'm getting colder
Hunger's just a pain that won't be fed
I'll be working for the ghost until I'm dead and done
Over and done, over
Disaster in a halo
Nothing even matters
Nothing even matters
Nothing even matters
Nothing even matters
Nothing even matters
Nothing even matters
Somewhere there's a girl with thoughts of him
She makes wishes in a well then fears them caving in on her, around, on her
Disaster in a halo
Nothing even matters
Nothing even matters
Nothing even matters
Nothing even matters
Nothing even matters
Nothing even matters
Cause in the well plans will come and plans will go undone
I know, I know
And you can't tell, I will come and I will do I know, I know
But why would I?
But why would I?
Disaster in a halo
Nothing even matters
Nothing even matters
Nothing even matters
Nothing even matters
Nothing even matters
Nothing even matters

Blac Waves
Where these black waves come
they fill my thoughts
so complete,
and make all seem so desperate,
like there is no future,
like all the hope is gone,
all hope to find happiness
to feel complete
feel joy and happiness.
maybe i am just stupid kid
who beleaves too deep
that happiness in life
is all that matters
no matter for money
no matter for jewelry
or fancy house,
just happiness inside.

You're A Concrete Boy Now
Shows)
This has been said so many times that I'm not sure if it matters
We never stood a chance
And I'm not sure if it matters
If you are the shores, I am the waves begging for big moons
I'm mailing letters to addresses in a ghost town
I know this hurts, it was meant to
Your secret's out and the best part is it isn't even a good one
And it's mind over (you don't) matter
This has been said so many times that I'm not sure if it matters
But it must be said again that all us boys are just screaming
Into microphones for attention
Because we're just so bored
I never knew that you would pick it apart, oh
I'm falling apart to songs about hips and hearts
I used to obsess over living,
Now I only obsess over you
Tell me you'd like boys like me better
In the dark lying on top of you
This has been said so many times that I'm not sure if it matters

The Way We Were
sipping one coffee
licking same ice cream on the cone
spraying same perfume
drinking one coca-cola
eating same slice of pizza
bathing together
sleeping in one bed cover
one fried egg sunny side up
seeing through
one empty hole of dunkin' doughnut
laughing on grin jokes
holding hands while walking
on the boulevard
admiring the sunset
sitting on the bench
under the moon
your head resting on my shoulder
kisses for the night
we made love....
how can we ever forget?
the way we were

Ace In The Hole
Chorus:
Youve got to have an ace in the hole
A little secret that nobody knows
Life is a gamble a game we all play
But you need to save something for a rainy day
Youve got to learn to play your cards right
If you expect to win in life
Dont put it all on the line for just one roll
Youve got to have an ace in the hole
If youre headed down a one way street
And youre not sure its the way you wanna go
In money or love or all the above
Have a little more than what you show
No matter what you do
No matter where you go
Youve got to have an ace in the hole
Chorus
Dont put it all on the line just for one roll
Youve got to have an ace in the hole
No matter what you do
No matter where you go
Youve got to have an ace in the hole

Hole in me
If you left me
I'd be empty
You'd leave a hole in me
I couldn't get over
The fact that it's over
You'd leave a hole in me
That's my greatest fear
You leaving me here
You'd leave a hole in me
It would kill
The hole would never fill
You'd leave a hole in me

Translations
do not be lost in the forest of translations.
we live there once.
we live the word of the soothsayers
focusing on
crystal balls,
do not be amazed with those that we
do not really understand
those that we categorize as mysteries
we suspect after all that they do not exist
and now i can glean from your silence
as you fathom a deep void
inside my heart
dipping your tongue with something
that tastes bland
a little sour like rotten apple
you cannot hold me
perhaps only on the side
like the icing of a cake
at the middle
i am one kind of a doughnut
hole.
i am not slippery, neither am i thorny
(do not spell it as horny)
with all regret when you try to find the house
where i live
i am not a forest, i am not a tree even
i have the body of that whisper
what is it? you know it. i have no one and i am
nothing.

What My Neighbor Says
not having money, he says
money does not matter really
having a little education he says
education matters a bit
for it is something that does not
tarnish like silver
something that does not decay
like organic flesh
something that termites cannot
eat like the walls and
beams of the house
not having any land he says
what is land but just enough for him to stay
something that is at most
only about six feet that he really needs
not having any intelligence
(i think he is a little dumb) he says
what matters most is just good deeds
the morality the ethical
the religious fervor of his being
i think he is wise enough to admit
(on this aspect, i may be ironic)
that what matters to him is only those
which he has
and since we have much
as a matter of sour-graping he says
at all, to be frank, to him
we do not really matter

A Black Hole of Dark Empty Nothingness
My world is a black hole of dark empty nothingness,
It rains blood all of the time,
I can't see most of the time,
I don't even know why I'm alive,
I should have died,
So, I cried.
The sun never shines,
It's dark all of the time,
I lay in my dark empty bed,
Staring at the nothingness,
I live in a world of darkness and despair,
My world is a black hole of dark empty nothingness.
I try to escape my fate,
But, I can't; for I am tied to my bed,
With the lies that lay in my head,
I scream but, there is no one that hears me,
Everyone fears me,
My world is a black hole of dark empty nothingness and that's all it is.

It Does Not Matter #2
it does not matter- if you're getting old
it does not matter- if you're skin and bones
it does not matter-if you're old and gray
it does not matter-if you go or stay
it does not matter- what people say
it does not matter-living day to day
the only thing that matters, is that
you're alive today
and you'll fight whatever comes your way.
never give up on yourself
for you have no one else.
age is with us to contend
age is something that is not your friend.
it does not matter- if you had a good life
it does not matter- if you're contrite.
no one really knows the true life you've led
and if you deserve to be in a bed.
and if death is at your bedside
in' GOD' you must confide.
HE is the only one that knows what
you've been through.
so confession is what you have to do.
but! it does not matter
if you confess or not
for he has your graveplot.
so ask forgiveness for what you've done
to' GODS' only son.
