Doughnut
She works in a doughnut outlet
as a part-time in the evenings
and the day time she goes
to a high school.
A handsome Shoeshine
shone in the sunlight
with his sachet on the pavement.
Nothing to be surprised
and they are eternal lovers
under the vast sky.
It's always and everywhere
there are obstacles
occur to the innocent love.
In the Municipality
the Mayor has passed a bill
to clear the road of vendors
and the doughnut shop was closed
as the Proprietor in bankruptcy.

The Hole In The Doughnut
i am full
eating is useless
my stomach
has no purpose
i have this doughnut
and i raise
it in space
and i look through
its hole
i want to see
what is the reason
for emptiness
the hole has more
content
than the doughnut
itself
i put my finger
inside it
and somehow
i begin to feel
confident
inside the hole
i know
i am not alone anymore.
inside the hole
again i become whole.

Back In The Days
When I was in high school, [1]
When I was in high school, [2]
I was very loud. [1]
I was very shy. [2]
I had a lot of friends, [1]
I had little friends, [2]
my parents were proud, [1]
my parents lived a lie. [2]
When I was in high school, [1]
When I was in high school, [2]
prom was coming next week. [1]
prom was soon coming up. [2]
Daddy bought me a dress, [1]
Momma took me to a shop, [2]
So nervous I couldn't breathe. [1]
bought me a black tux. [2]
When I was in high school, [1]
When I was in high school, [2]
I was the prettiest of them all. [1]
I wasn't noticed well. [2]
There's this boy I barely noticed, [1]
The prettiest girl in school... [2]
is so handsome and so tall. [1]
so pretty and so swell. [2]
When I was in high school, [1]
When I was in high school, [2]
he reached to hold my hand. [1]
I reached for her hand. [2]
As nervous as he was, [1]
My heart shook; my voice was weak, [2]
he asked me to the dance. [1]
I asked her to the dance. [2]
When I was in high school, [1]
When I was in high school, [2]
after the prom I got the news. [1]
I'm to go to war next week. [2]
He was drafted in the army, [1]
I wish there was a way, [2]
and to be sent off too soon. [1]
all I could do was pray. [2]
When I was in high school, [1]
When I was in high school, [2]
I watched him be taken away. [1]
I told her, 'I love you.' [2]
That tall and handsome man, [1]
Tears fell down her cheeks, [2]
is still in my heart to this day. [1]
her hand in marriage; can't take me away. [2]

Monday Morning Coffee
Most people don't look forward to Monday mornings...
I do.
It's the start of something new...
It's a clean slate
I like my Monday morning ritual
I wake up extra early.
Well,
It's early for me.
I get ready for work.
Hopeful,
That it will be a pretty good week.
I go to my favorite doughnut shop.
It really is owned by a mom and a pop...
I walk in at 6: 30
Two smiling faces greet me
She always says a 'good morning'
And,
He's either whistling or singing to the doughnuts...
Maybe that's why they're so extra sweet
An extra tasty treat.
I don't even have to ask anymore
An extra large coffee waits for me
And a
Perfect
Cloud
Melt in your mouth
Beautiful in it's simplicity
Glazed Doughnut
Friendly faces and a delicious treat
It's a great way for me to start my week..
On the corner of Chino Ave and Peyton Street
My Monday morning
Look forward to it treat.

A Woman With Two Navels
she may exist and i may see her
and her two navels,
it does not matter,
what matters most is the doughnut
that empty part,
that looks like a hole
i can always
complete it.

Child, Baby and Doughnut
A penny please,
Slim shaking cold fingers
Stretched through the window
In my face
Oh! Just another one
Me thought, ’a penny here’
‘God bless’ said she
Lying beneath a lamp light
A baby wrapped in an old blanket.
Cold, coughing, trembling,
She, Five to Seven. Age,
Picking and pecking I see
Away our bus is pulling
Lights, colorful lights and souls dancing
In halls, partying.
I see the child eating doughnut
The baby strapped in her back
Our bus, out of city
Back, I see colorful lights
Sick child, baby and doughnut. I think.

The world is spinning too fast
I'm buying lead Nike shoes
To keep myself tethered
To the days I try to lose
My mama said to slow down
You should make your shoes
Stop dancing to the music
Of Gorillaz in a happy mood
Keep a mild groove on
Ba ba ba
Day dee bop
There you go!
Get the cool!
Get the cool shoeshine!
Get the cool!
Get the cool shoeshine!
Get the cool!
Get the cool shoeshine!
Get the cool!
Get the cool shoeshine!
There's a monkey in the jungle
Watching a vapour trail
Caught up in the conflict
Between his brain and his tail
And if time's elimination
Then we got nothing to lose
Please repeat the message
It's the music that we choose
Keep a mild groove on
Ba ba ba
Day dee bop
OK bring it down yeah we gonna break out
Get the cool!
Get the cool shoeshine!
Get the cool!
Get the cool shoeshine!
Get the cool!
Get the cool shoeshine!
Get the cool!
Get the cool shoeshine!
Ah Ah Ah Ah
Day doo de bop

Part-time Lover
Call up, ring once, hang up the phone
To let me know you made it home
Dont want nothing to be wrong with part-time lover
If shes with me Ill blink the lights
To let you know tonights the night
For me and you my part-time lover
We are undercover passion on the run
Chasing love up against the sun
We are strangers by day, lovers by night
Knowing its so wrong, but feeling so right
If Im with friends and we should meet
Just pass me by, dont even speak
Know the words discreet when part-time lovers
But if theres some emergency
Have a male friend to ask for me
So then she wont peek its really you my part-time lover
We are undercover passion on the run
Chasing love up against the sun
We are strangers by day, lovers by night
Knowing its so wrong, but feeling so right
(repeat)
Ive got something that I must tell
Last night someone rang our doorbell
And it was not you my part-time lover
And then a man called our exchange
But didnt want to leave his name
I guess that two can play the game
Of part-time lovers
You and me, part-time lovers
But, she and he, part-time lovers

What I Like From You
i like to think that you think that i am not at all serious about memories.
memories are not like seeds
they do not grow anywhere when thrown
memories are selective
for instance in our minds these memories think that they are special
and must be treated in such ways
like an important guest to be fed and pampered
there were memories that i killed
say i am cruel say i am one of those savages in the mountains
killing innocent natives direct to the eye
bull's eye bullshit bull's eye
the man fell straight to the ravine without the benefit of any doubt
at first we shiver but it will only be for that first time
and there is the second
and there is the nth time
and we become numb to ourselves
to our own words we embrace the silence of the
whatever whoever whenever
the who what where and when
there was that woman naked bathing in the river
and there was that monkey
did you hear the sound again? i wish i have no ears
i wish i have no mind at all
what have you made out of me? a doughnut, a black hole, a grass
a cloud.

Afraid Of Sunlight
(music: marillion lyrics: steve hogarth & john helmer)
Drive the road to your surrender
Time comes around... out of my hands
Small boats on the beach at the dead of night
Come and go before first light
Leave me running in the wheel
King of the world
How do you feel?
What is there to feel?
So how do we now come to be
Afraid of sunlight?
Tell me girl why you and me
Scared of sunlight?
Been in pain for so long
I cant even say what hurts anymore
I will leave you alone
I will deny
I will leave you to bleed
I will leave you with your life
So how do we now come to be
Afraid of sunlight?
Tell me girl why are you and me
Scared of sunlight?
All your spirit rack abuses
Come to haunt you back by day
All your byzantine excuses
Given time, given you away
Dont be surprised when daylight comes
To find that memory prick your thumbs
Youll tell them where to run to hide
Im already dead
Its a matter of time
So how do we now come to be
Afraid of sunlight
How do we now come to be
Afraid of sunlight
So how do we now come to be
Afraid of sunlight
How do we now come to be
Afraid of sunlight
Dayglo jesus on the dash
Chalk marks on the road ahead
Friendly fire in hostile waters
Keep the faith
Dont lose your head
So how do we now come to be? ....

Being Weaned Away
I remember those days when I was innocent.
I was still breast feeding at the time.
And believed even then,
This was the kind of life to enjoy!
The most difficult part about being innocent,
Is being weaned away from it.
The trappings of reality begin to soon enfold.
And obstacles are noticed for their durability.
When my personality began to be developed,
Demands on my luxurious time...
Helped create my moods with a chosen attitude.
Soon after,
I learned that expressing intelligence...
Can become problematic.
Others see this as a weapon they can use,
When doing and saying the most devious things possible.
As if to test one's awareness of their misdeeds...
And mental agility!

A River to The Sea
A river makes my water flowing to the sea
I'd never see
My courage, my love
Have all passed and been lost
In a place where I left them
Safe and sound
Too-high dreams breaks every part of me
Like the moon steal the day from the sun
Wind carries the whisper of heaven
But I've forgotten the language
So I just sit and wonder
'How long should I wait here,
Until an angel falls down and takes me away? '
My skin is growing old
And my eyes are getting bloody with tears
I'm not tired
I'm not scared
I'm just hopeless
.. In time I know I'll be hopeful
And in this road-pavement
With pebbles scattered like broken glass
Inside a broken home,
My soul will get better
When courage and love
Find me as well as they will get me someday
When birds don't fly just to see the world
Life is much better walked
When trees still breathe my used air
When all is fair
All around will get me the way they did
I know it'll be alright in time
And if the time is now
So be it.

Jim and Darlene
Two lonely birds
perched
in their coffee house
abode, sit anonymously
daily reprieve
from the hustle and tussle
of a busy day
a two seat table, a lovers way
Jim with a horrific illness
Darlene, his partner
loves Jim, none the less
a pleasure to meet these two
a daily gift
both God sent
to me and my troubled heart
we speak of life treasures
life pain and heartaches
from a tsunami in India
to California quakes
never realized
that a coffee, muffin and doughnut
could bring a mans heart back
to where it began
love and friendship
all part of
GODS' plan

Moderate Two thousand and ten
At the market place the old cobbled street
Turned into a main street,
New vendors, Singers, Beggars
Call girls(with high-heels)
Magicians, handsome politicians(with sport shirts) and etc.,
I watched a retired electrician replaces a new bulb
On an old lamp post,
And I sniffed the rings of smoke from chubby Mayor's aromatic cigar
That goes to the new blue sky full of birds or war planes?

End Of Time
Towards the end of our time
We miss the friendship and food;
The days behind are but silent thoughts
And the months seem endless.
People meander on the eternal road
Yet some of us walk so straight.
Little people run on it first
And slow down afterwards.
Children seek help on the eternal road
And want more kindness to be shone.
The road is kind if you walk on it
And not sprint or dash like some who dare.
The end of time shall be near,
When thoughts are collected
And death occurs,
Making your home with the grave.

Get It Right This Time
Oh, you know, well get it right this time. I could be up
There with you so high, girl. (I really love you baby).
Oh and I say. living my life in my own kind of way. this
Time, this time, this time. smacked on my chin but Im back
With a grin. this time, this time, this time. I know I was
Wrong but I wont go it alone. this time, this time. this time.
It wont be the same if you stay with me, baby.
Heaven so high. I see you so clear. making up this time.
Oh, you know, well get it right this time. this time will be
For sure. I could be up there with you some time, girl. this
Time will be for sure. (I really love you baby).
Its been a year. but where theres love there is nothing to
Fear. this time, this time, this time. made my mistakes but
No foot on the brakes. this time.
Heaven so wide. it seemed so clear. time after time after
Time.
Look at the way love has gone. up there in your lonely room
Tonight. look at yourself pretty one. I could be holding you
Oh so tight.
You know, well get it right this time. this time will be for
Sure. I could be up there with you so high, girl. this time
Will be for sure. (I really love you baby).
Look at the way love has gone. talk about, talk about, talk
About, talk about. dont let it disappear now. up there
Alone in your room every night. isnt it sad what I see? all
Alone all alone all alone all alone. is this the way it should
Be? open the book and then take one mad look back.
Oh, you know, well get it right this time. this time will be
For sure. I could be up there with you so high, girl. this time
Will be for sure.
(I really love you baby). oh, you know, well get it right this
Time. I could be up there with you so tight, girl. this time
Will be for sure. (I really love you baby).
Oh, you know, well get it right this time. oh, you know,
Well get it right this time will be for sure. oh, you know,
Well get it right this time. oh, you know, well get it right
This time this time will be for sure, girl.

Angelyne
(cover: gary u.s. bonds. written by springsteen)
He was a bouncer in a joint called tonys body shop
She was a night cashier down at the stop n shop
He was kinda good-lookin
And she was kinda fun
They met neath that big oak tree
Out where the river runs
Little angelyne, little angelyne
As the sun goes down and the moonlight shines
Back of a greyhound bus sit two lovers entwined
Just big bill and little angelyne
She was just in from texas, didnt know her way around
So he took her to a roadhouse on the edge of town
In the beerhall light she looked so fine
And so he popped the question that was on his mind
It was a simple affair, only a friend or two
Preacher asked if they did, they said they do
She bought two tickets with her daddys american express
And hopped a greyhound bus in her wedding dress
Little angelyne, little angelyne
As the sun goes down and the moonlight shines
Back of a greyhound bus sit two lovers entwined
Just big bill and little angelyne
In a six dollar motel with the honey bun
With seven glorious days in the nevada sun
He played the tables, she pumped the slots full of dimes
They came back broke but they had a good time
Now many fell apart in the years come and gone
But big bill and little angel theyd last on and on
They held together when the times grew thin
A little boy that looked like her, and a girl that looked like him
So mister dont you pay it no mind
Let the sun go down and the moonlight shine
Back of a greyhound bus sit two lovers entwined
Just big bill and little angelyne
Little angelyne, little angelyne
As the sun goes down and the moonlight shines
Back of a greyhound bus sit two lovers entwined
Just big bill and little angelyne
Little angelyne, little angelyne
As the sun goes down and the moonlight shines
Back of a greyhound bus sit two lovers entwined
Just big bill and little angelyne

042411B vanishing buildings
was noon driving my usual route
when i was still with sea service
so many changes i noticed, one
doughnut house completely gone
also gas station with small store
gives me clear view of apartments
i heard a hospital nearby is closing
not so many are sick nowadays or
they have over-estimated patients
keep on building, fear of being sick
whatever it is, it's surely affecting
its surrounding's economy for sure

A guy is a lump like a doughnut. So, first you gotta get rid of all the stuff his mom did to him. And then you gotta get rid of all that macho crap that they pick up from beer commercials. And then there's my personal favorite, the male ego.

A view of spring turning into summer (hybridanelle)
From the time that the first sunlight hit me
I was surrounded by heat like a cocoon
and I saw the clear blue sky and felt free
while the early morning breeze
kissed my cheek
with an early morning freeze
and there were clouds escaping from my mouth that I could see
evaporating like steam or gas from a balloon.
From the time that the first sun light hit me
some dust tickling my nose made me sneeze
and glorious bright rays
kissed my cheek,
buds opened on every plant and tree,
ants marched to and fro like in a platoon
and I saw the clear blue sky and felt free
and I was experiencing days
of spring leading into summer
and glorious bright rays
and nature’s decree
summoning new seasons, made me feel like a tycoon
from the time that the first sunlight hit me
and the wind like a drummer
sweeping through sand, leaves and branches whistling its song
of spring leading into summer
and you my love, had to agree
that an awesome summer would be here soon
and I saw the clear blue sky and felt free
as if this freaky wind was blowing me along,
turned part of me into nature and I saw it
sweeping through sand, leaves and branches whistling its song
and even you were in its spell and we
were both smitten with summer and spring that afternoon.
From the time that the first sunlight hit me
and I saw the clear blue sky and felt free
it was like standing on a high summit
while the early morning breeze,
turned part of me into nature and I saw it
with an early morning freeze.
