Sky Reflection

Quiet sky reflection

The sky over Europe is silent, but there is fear in the air, few lemons no oranges
and no mangos for starters. When planes do not pollute the sky we starve.
I remember a time when what we ate followed seasons plenty of fruit in the fall
of which we made jam. But we did have plenty of turnips. At Christmas, we killed
a pig and a ship docked with festive oranges and bananas. Millions of people are
stranded on foreign shores desperate to get home, planes are to refined to pass
a bit of volcanic ash. (And, it is called progress) a question remains why did they
leave in the first place? why are they so desperate to get back to the rainy place
they left? Mind, many didn’t want to go, but holidaying is a must, a human right.
Shoulder to shoulder with fellow travelers, suffer the indignity of being treated
as cattle at airports and made to like it. To be met with distain behind skilled at
at some dreadful hotel and be forced to eat when it suits the staff. You are not
a person, but a tourist good for the economy of, say, Spain. It worries me this
interconnected world a strike and a bit of ash and we have no potatoes, the most
stable of food. We must rethink globalization; learn to be more self-sufficient, let
our menus follow the seasons. Lamb with mint sauce is Easter food we need not
eat lamb in October but Irish stew with turnips and boiled home grown potatoes.

New take on Blake for My Friend Amy

Little lamb who made thee?
Made thee tender, tasty and sweet,
made thee very good to eat.
A little lamb well pleaseth me
with new potatoes mint and peas.
It satisfies my appetite,
there is no better way to please.
A hungry man who has the right
to have his hunger satisfied
When he’s been hard at work all day.
With tender meat thou hast supplied,
which has been cooked his favourite way.

I do not know my little lamb
but I am glad.I truly am.

Set to receive

Mind is set to receive
With all cunning ideas to deceive
Yet it is called brilliance
I too think same at once

It may travel far off and come back
Make the place and rightfully stake
Even thought nothing belongs in person as such
But it is mind with all thoughts and worries so much

They jumble up in mind and crowd
Speak in strength and so loud
I wish to get up and shout
Ask them to leave and get out

They create siren in head
Get me no where to lead
Don’t allow me to think and read
I pray them to leave and plead

They may invade aimlessly
This may leave me restlessly
I will lye down and not think much
They may come and go as such

Mind is their refuge ground
The place is easily found
Nothing to worry and plenty to explore
Make men desperate and compel to think more

Feed Them!

Plenty of fertile land,
In every host and guest,
Plenty of much needed grains,
In every other country,
We have enough food to feed,
But People are hungry.
One billion in total,
Seven tenth of them in Asia,
People have no money,
People have no man created money,
They sleep in hungry,
People have no mint created coins,
To buy the food to evade pain,
To fill their acidic stomach,
Every six person on earth,
One person is skeletal,
With haunted look,
One hundredth of them,
In the developed world,
shame on the hypocrites,
who hold back and destroy the food.
Gods of human, Feed them.
Gods of heaven, Feed them.
Gods of hell, Feed them.
Singular God of the desert,
Please feed them.
with the food to the poor
and the knowledge to the ignorant,
who are recalcitrant in nature,
selling the Gods to human.

Hot Potatoes

My baby woke me up this mornin
She said get down that labour exchange,
And if you dont come home with a job son,
Youll get no dinner to-day.
You gotta secure me a weekly workin wage.
Youll get no more fancy cookin,
Youll get no more apple pie,
Youll just get those plain hot potatoes
To satisfy your appetite.
La la la la la la potatoes,
Boiled, french fried, any old way that you wanna decide.
Hot potatoes, yeh,
I want your lovin every single day.
I said I dont need your fancy cooking,
I like the simple things in life,
Just give me those plain hot potatoes
And Ill be well satisfied,
Theyll satisfy my appetite.
La la la la la la potatoes,
Boiled, french fried, any old way that you wanna decide.
Hot potatoes, yeh,
I want your lovin 60 minutes an hour,
I want your lovin 24 hours a day,
I want your lovin 7 days a week.
Yeh, yeh, oh yeh.
I want your love, I need your love,
But all I get is hot potatoes
When I come home late at night
To satisfy my appetite.
Dont give me no more potatoes,
Boiled, french fried, any old way you wanna decide.
Hot potatoes,
I want your lovin every single day.
I want your lovin
La la la la la la potatoes,
Boiled, french fried, any old way that you wanna decide.
Hot potatoes, hot potatoes, yeh.

As per His wishes

Think of millions who are left with no food
Just little thought of those uncared for and not good
Sleeping under open sky for want of shelter
No proper amenities and no drinking water

Think of those who are made destitute and poor
No sympathy, no blessings and shutting of door
No God for them in divine places and no care
No direction and little idea about going somewhere

World is sitting of volcano with unequal distribution
Some where plenty and some where total starvation
Some where total upliftment with all facilities
Some where nothing in name with no possibilities

No account for how many may be dying everyday
Under nourished and not finding any suitable way
Unrest and uprising with wanton killings and rapes
Humanity on shame with ugly scene and slaps

Where are proper education and job opportunities?
Where is good environment and basic facilities?
Where the youth of today go and find the place?
Are we not pushing them to take part in mad race?

Many may take to arms and unsocial activities
Rest may suffer in inferiority and all complexities
Life may end near in early fifties or sixties
No place any where to look at open skies

Are we not creating open hell for future generation?
Do we have an answer for any of the question?
How much have we progressed in population jump?
There was never feminine, decline or slump

We have progress on all destructive fronts
We have made big, small and large fonts
With single push buttons millions can perish
World can find several times its peril and finish

We have time to export terrorism
We can spare no troops to protect humanism
We have enough of food grains and stock
Can it reach to inaccessible tribal flocks?

We will eliminate poor with their poverty
There won’t be left any worry for almighty
He will feel no remorse or any kind of pity
As He has only pushed us on earth for serenity

“The poor things shape up as per His wishes”
“No one departs early, waits or finishes”
We have ready made arguments in favor and against
Here poor is eliminated and survives the strongest

Less said is better and for good
Let there be left with no worry for food
We can waste in plenty in big functions and ceremonies
Who else will complain when extravagance and great show accompanies

* Let us not wait and watch as time runs out very fast*

The Lamb and the Wolf (Ballad)

I saw a lamb to wolf turn prey!
I saw it kill’d in gruesome way;
The lamb was rather small, I say;
I saw it frolicking that day;
It bleated while busy at play;
That day, its life, it had to pay;
And soon, I heard a plaintive cry;
The grass was smeared by lamb’s blood dry!
My good shepherd, “Did you not know? ”
My God, “Did You all this allow? ”

The wolf was dressed in fine lamb-skin;
It killed by habit, kith and kin;
Like lamb, it spoke and went so near;
It acted friendly, allayed fear;
It took the lamb afar to play;
The lamb was foolish on that day;
It was so meek and frail, not bold;
It wished to see the far-off world.
My good shepherd, “Did you not know? ”
My God, “Did You all this allow? ”

The wolf then took the lamb away,
To steep a cliff with grass to play;
In moment’s time, it pushed it down;
The foul-play was almost half-done;
The lamb remained so very dazed;
That it was live, kept me amazed;
Before it could then recover,
The wolf made plans to devour.
My good shepherd, “Did you not know? ”
My God, “Did You all this allow? ”

The wolf noticed the lamb’s sad plight
And asked if it was quite alright;
It said, “I’ll take you to mother.”
The lamb believed the lie, brother!
It took it round and round and round;
There was no sign of flock on ground;
The lamb had gone really far;
Against the wolf, it could not war.
My good shepherd, “Did you not know? ”
My God, “Did You all this allow? ”

The lamb couldn’t walk any farther;
To pray to God, it didn’t bother;
It was so tired, hungry too;
It did not know what next to do;
The wolf then caught the lamb by throat;
The blood spilled down its white fur-coat;
The lamb was dead in moments split;
The wolf ate lamb and tried to sit;
My good shepherd, “Did you not know? ”
My God, “Did You all this allow? ”

The wolf had feasted like a drill;
It ate with joy and had its fill;
It worked its way with pretty skill;
It left no trace of lamb on hill;
It was the poor lamb’s folly still.
The lamb had vanished from the rill;
It was too weak to fight by will;
The lamb had died a death cruel.
My good shepherd, “Did you not know? ”
My God, “Did You all this allow? ”

O shepherd good and experienced
With staff so long and strong and hooked;
If you had been awake and heard
The poor lamb’s cry, you could it saved;
If you had spotted wolf disguised,
One blow by staff you could have killed;
If you had watched with care, brother,
It would have stayed near its mother;
My good shepherd, “Did you not know? ”
My God, “Did You all this allow? ”

Then good shepherd, “Why didn’t you come
To save lamb’s life from wolf’s welcome? ”
The little lamb didn’t know wolf’s scent;
It was too small and innocent;
Its legs were weak and could not run;
It thought that life was only fun;
If more alert had been shepherd,
The lamb needn’t go astray or erred.
My good shepherd, “Did you not know? ”
My God, “Did You all this allow? ”

Had shepherd failed to act aright?
Had wolf deceived the lamb’s eye-sight?
Did not God know the lamb’s poor plight?
How could a lamb give wolf a fight?
Was it an act of destiny?
Was lamb to blame for mutiny?
Perhaps, the lamb was bound to die,
Allured by wolf’s broad day-light lie!
My good shepherd, “Did you not know? ”
My God, “Did You all this allow? ”

Preparing Dinner

I watch the pot on the stove

Water is overspilling

The rice is cooking

With bubbles galore

I smother chicken in sauce

Sauce that is made up of green pepper, black pepper and onions

Accompanied with that is the All in one spice.

Watch out for the toilet paper

The spices start talking

The chicken gets fried

The smell of breyani echoes through the house

I chop the potatoes as well as the carrots

I open up McCain veggies

And distribute it with the food

I put more spices in and the McCain veggies

Gets assimilated into the food

The pot is filled with colours

The steam fills the house

The brown chicken starts talking to the yellow potatoes

So does the carrots

The rice is strained

It rises to the core

I use tastic rice

Because it is the best out of them all

I set the table with plates

And it is ready to be filled

One by one they get dished out

First the rice (centered) and then the potatoes and chicken

Ice cream is served as desert

Coca-Cola is poured into glasses

The sweet taste bubbles in my mouth

The hot food burns my mouth

While the cold drink soothes its pain

I smother tomatoes and onions with vinegar

And serve them next to the food

The sauce gives the tongue extra kick

And goes down with a good drink

The Killing

The killing

A flock of white doves flew over my house, heading due east, if they were flying to
Israel fat chance, and if they landed on the Gaza strip they would end up in a pot.
Last time I saw a white dove was in 1956, when I accidently killed one, I had made
a bow and arrow and shot into the air and hit one. Our neighbour came, pulled
the arrow out of quivering bird and gave it to me, but kept the dove. The aroma of
roasted bird wafted along the street. We sat eating fried mackerel with turnips,
“why didn’t you take the bird home? ” My mother asked. “But it was white and it
might have been an angel” I said.“? Never mind the colour, we are talking about
food, ” she said. My sister went even further insisted it was Jesus in disguise, and
I had to give her my chewing gum to atone for my sin. White doves of peace with
a palm leave in their beaks, how romantic, war is undying, peace is just a breather
and festive balloons as military brass bands play.

Rainbows

Rainbows of color, are seen after a storm,
The way God made the first one, the curved form;
Red, yellow, blue, green and purple, orange too,
Made as a Promise for Noah, a promise kept true.

Rainbows of color, across the land so wide,
In the trees and hills, the sunsets, over a set tide;
Only God could make it, oh perfect beauty,
Made to enjoy them, made for you and me.

Rainbows of Colour, in Gods creatures too,
Such pretty animals, like the camealion it's true;
Then there's the birds, from flamingo, and parrikeet,
God made them all, watch them at the zoo, sitting on a seat.

Rainbows of color, in all the trees and flowers as well,
Like the roses, carnations, violets, and the Irish bell;
Purples, pinks, blues, many shades we'll see,
God also put colors in an insect, such as a tiny bee.

Rainbows of color, We see in veggies and fruit too,
Like cabbages, tomatoes, turnips and capsicum, it's true;
Peaches, oranges, apples, passion fruit as well,
God made them for us all to share, we should in thanks to God, tell.

You're Not Alone

I bet you didn't notice
First time your heart was broken
You called me up and we talked til the morning (Oh)

And the time that you were stranded
I was there before you landed
He was a no show, I made sure you got home

I've been right there (right there)
For every minute
This time, it's no different
Whatever happens you should know whoa

Cause you're not alone, girl
Look over your shoulder
You don't have to wonder
Cause you know, you know, you know
You're not alone, girl
I'll be there to hold you
I'll stay til it's over
And you know, you know, you know
That you're not alone (You, you, you)
That you're not alone (You, you, you)
(You're not alone)

All the days that you were stressed out
Feeling like pulling your hair out
They were all missing but I was here listening (Now)

You gotta believe in me
Even if you can't see me there (Can't see me there)
I'll catch you when you fall (O-oh!)

Cause I've been right there (right there)
For every minute
This time, it's no different
Whatever happens you should know whoa
Cause you're not alone, girl

You don't have to wonder

And you know, you know, you know
That you're not alone (You, you, you)
That you're not alone (You, you, you)
(You're not alone)

I'll be here for you no matter what
Comes around the corner
Whoa oh, whoa oh, whoa oh, whoa oh (Yeah!)
As long as I am breathing
You won't have to worry no more

Cause you're not alone, girl
Look over your shoulder
You don't have to wonder (Don't have to wonder)
Cause you know, you know

Cause you're not alone, girl
Look over your shoulder
You don't have to wonder

This Side

One day youll see her and youll know what I mean.
Take her of leave her she will still be the same.
Shell not try to buy you with her time.
But nothings the same, as you will see when shes gone.
Its foreign on this side,
And Ill not leave my home again.
Theres no place to hide
And Im nothing but scared.
You dream of colors that have never been made,
You imagine songs that have never been played.
They will try to buy you and your mind.
Only the curious have something to find.
Its foreign on this side,
And the truth is a bitter friend.
But reasons few have I to go back again.
Your first dawn blinded you, left you cursing the day.
Entrance is crucial and its not without pain.
Theres no path to follow, once youre here.
Youll climb up the slide and then youll slide down the stairs.
Its foreign on this side,
But it feels like Im home again.
Theres no place to hide
But I dont think Im scared.
(theres no place to hide)
(theres no place to hide)
But I dont think Im scared.
(theres no place to hide)
But I dont think Im scared...

Outsider

The many childhood memories that I have
are lonely ones of being an outsider.
I never mixed very well
and was always the last one,
other children wanted to call a friend.
I was a quiet person
who spent much of his time alone
buried deep within his own thoughts.
At classes, I always got the lowest grades,
on vacation I almost always was on my own.
I would sit for hours just pondering on my thoughts.
I never grew out of being an outsider,
different from the rest.
My early life was over shadowed
by younger sister whom my parents adored.
Every achievement that I made
my sister could do it better.
Not only was I an outsider at school,
but also at home a well.
In 1959, I left the shores
of the place I called home
to go back to the place of my birth.
Not until forty-two years later
would, I set foot on that soil again.
Things in the world had changed,
but not so much for me
as I was still a stranger
in the land I called my home.

A Christmas Reminisce

Memories are made at Christmas time
Christmas time is memory time
Seasons come, seasons go
Christmas comes just like a thought
And it reads just like a book
Place all your happy memories
In your Christmas basket
Wrap it with pretty paper
Oh so bright, wrap it tight
Many days have faded with the year
Looking back brings a tear
Yes reminisce with total joy
Remember the door that opens wide
So we can gaze on Christmas day
Oh happy day, oh happy day

Slugs and Snails and Homelovers' Tales

You asked me for a poem about home and I remembered
that millions of years ago there was plenty of food for all
in the Garden of Eden and slugs
were well supplied with greenery and all was one big happy family
until slugs found that other species found them tasty
chocolate jellies or unjust desserts especially when after
a good night out they were, well, sluggish about getting home
and the sun came out and gulp quick as a slug of Jack
but spotting one night or was it day, a battered caravan
serai, it occurred that a portable home would be a good thing
to evolute. Became snails. Just took time.

Poetic point of this is for there is a point, that
human beings are much the same, there's the bricks and mortar thing
we call home but really home is
in the head or heart, we carry it with us, it's the place we go when
there's no other place to go.

And next time you feel a bit sluggish
about going to work, or like a snail unwillingly to school
you'll have to admit that Evolution
does a goddamned good job, a home in your backpack
beats commuting to work any day. Respect.

Freezing Steel

Freezing steel
Ive flown the house of freezing, the house of freezing steel
And though my bodys back I know it cant be real
cause Ive been on that house without a guiding wheel
The house of freezing steel
Oh wheres it going, picked me up at seven
When my eyes were weak from the light of the morning
Oh sister wont you tell me what a man might want to know
This madness is fine, yes if youre mad at the time
Back on the house of freezing, the house of freezing steel
The tied my body up, Im forced to eat my meal
A cold plate of lamb and cold potatoes too
Now whats a soul to do
Oh lord above, brother wont you tell me
Is this a eucharistic dove
cause Ive been waiting for the right one to appear
But Ive seen it in your face, and baby this aint the place
Up on the house of freezing, the house of freezing steel.
I made my mind up then to get me to the wheel
I made the cabin door, the pilot turned around
He said were venus bound
Oh please take me home
After all Im only human and the earth is where I belong
I must have looked pitiful to this freak without a face
cause as he touched my head I saw myself back in bed
Ive flown the house of freezing, the house of freezing steel
And though my bodys back I know it cant be real
cause Ive been on that house without a guiding wheel
The house of freezing steel

Demo Crazy. We are fools..

What is hardship, when it has the degree,
What is that degree, which we have to agree,
I say that I work hard and suffer,
you may say that you feel better,
someone say that their life is a misery,
sufferers keep quiet and it is Irony.
Those who are homeless and penniless,
left on the road sides to be vagrants.
These vagrants have no idea,
that they have the right to plea,
thousands on the first world and
millions on the third world, but
churning stomachs prevent them
from executing their rights.
How docile they are,
to suffer in silence,
They are better than a silent lamb,
for they endure their entire life.
As long as we follow Adam Smith,
As long as we believe in demo crazy,
As long as we are ignorant of pain,
That our fellow human go through,
this world may belong to the rich and powerful,
Let us make sure every man on street,
has the right to live his life humanly.
Let us be the human to understand
this sickness of ignorance.

Home:

Home…

Home is where you were born.
Home is where you were raised,
Home is were you grew up,
Home was what had shaped you,
Home is what gave you your foundation
And what help you grow into something amazing,
Home is what you left behind to become something bigger,
Home is what you remember many years after leaving,
Home is what you become missing for,
Home is where you crave to be when you're done with you adventures,
Even thought you left home, for another place,
Home has never left,
It's still there,
On the same old street,
With the same old lawn,
With the same old people,
Just waiting there,
For you and only you,
It is there for you and only you,
Because with out it,
Without a home,
You wouldn't have a place to go back to,
A place was you can call your own..well, home...

Factrory Food

Factory Made Food.
A perfect microwave dinner for one
sunrays drink from the wine bottle
The dinner is tasteless,
and the rest of the wine is warm
as a cat licks its paw and has no worry
about the morrow.
Who invented tuna fish with mashed potatoes?
It must be someone without a mother,
or if he had one, she must have been
a busy executive and time poor.
At the orphanage they eat left over of dinners
they never had, forever made into a stew
children do not care; yester-days loaf.
He sits in his mansion, count his money and
think of other variety of frozen food he can
invented preferable something that looks
looks like vomit.
He is a vegetarian and hate mankind for
liking meat…he hates greedy little children too
even his own, serves them burger made of
fat full of sugar and salt.
Knows he will follow them to the grave and
be the longest living man on earth.
Who the hell drank my wine?
