Ang tunay na lalaki (The Real Man) Stalks in the Streets of New York
Looking to harvest what makes him happy.
The AA meetings have thrown
him into iconoclastic jousts with Titans
and Gorgons with glowing snake eyes
and leather pants. This is life
without the Filipino bottle,
without the star fruit boogie,
without the "bomba" films. He wears black
Dr. Martens boots because slippers
would expose his "provinciano" feet
to the snow. He wants to ride
the back of a caribou and bolt
up Madison Avenue screaming
like Tandang Sora or shout
"hala-bira! hala-bira! hala-bira!"
like his Isneg cousins in Aklan.
"Ay, susmaryosep!" Such bad behavior
from the "true male" of Filipino
advertising. He looks at his reflection
on a book store window, notices
that his hair has grown shoulder-length
like Tonto in the Lone Ranger
he would watch on TV. He turns to the right,
his profile now looks like the young Bruce Lee
as Kato in the Green Hornet. Yes,
he realizes it will always be the face
of a supporting character. Rejected
from the Absolut Vodka magazine ads,
he decides to change his name
for an upcoming afternoon audition
for a Preparation H commercial - "Al Moranas",
American but with a Filipino flare.

Life Is a Game Where Life Only Wins
Life is a laughter but
no one can smile
Life is so hard that
makes us fragile
Life is a theater
of all deadly sins
Life is a game
where life only wins..
Life is happiness,
only fools say so
Life says “come dear”
just before saying GO
The moment we await death,
life starts laughing loud
We all seek sunlight
and life gives us cloud
Life makes us live it but
Never the way we wish
Life asks for that tear
What our eyes unleash
Life gives us blood to
Suck from us more
Life is a scary tale
It’s indeed a gore

I Cry For I Die Everyday
it’s not for a life do I hope,
I hope for each passing day
it’s not for a death that I cry
I cry for I die everyday
if childhood was myself in past
in past only alive I was
thus I cry today in immeasurable pain
for no more my childhood had last
if I was a student yesterday
today I have died once more
In tears, nothing could I say
As for me, closed was my classroom door
when world is my mother I thought
Happily I reshaped it at will
silently she sacrificed her slot
Now I cry as my world is nil
it’s not a same ego who I am
each day I walked another way
only name kept sounding the same
thus I cry for I change everyday
when fairy tales seemed real to me
Monsters I killed like a knight
when I grew up, the life I could see
I find myself losing every fight
it’s not in a life I have scope
I have scopes in each passing day
it’s not for a death that I cry
I cry for I die everyday

Duha Ka Maskara
Duha ang akong gipili
Nga maskara.
Puros puti.
Kaputli. Kahayag. Kagawasan
Alang nako. Gitagoan ko.
Nasayod ko kon kinsa ako.
Giganahan ka. Gihigugma mo
Ang gitagoan ko
Nga kangitngit.
Duha kita nga gamaskara.
Naghalok kita. Nagtandayay
Sa katre. Pipila na ba ka gabii?
Unsa pa bay kapuslanan
Nianang gitawag nila
Nga kamatuoran?
Nagmalipayon kita.
Dili na nato kinahanglan
Ang matuod.
Kadaghan na kana siya
Gipatay sa walay kukalooy.
Hala gaksa ko. Kanang hugot.

Vande Matharam
Not to thy knowledge of information cognizant
That credentialed people value intelligence
Not to thy nucleus of power-plant
Thy children rocket on par excellence
Not to thy progressing industries eminent
Concerned much to mint global wealthiness
Not to thy soulful populous effort
Endemically to eradicate illness
Not to thy efficacy of art, architect
Gleaming in society's ethnic fields
O' Mother India, our obeisance
But to thy valorous martyred quest
Thy sons fought for independence
That they manured a soil-fest
Themselves strewn blood-shed to fertilize
Their hopes sown to result
In reaping peace in abundance
A reformation of a fertile harvest
A progression essential in economic race
Vande Matharam! Vande Matharam!
Also to thy souls who deeply support
In times to save thy populace
Defending thy bravery on peril and threat
This day even in wars and clashes
With brimming cheers of grateful heart
Vande Matharam! Vande Matharam!

Letter To Eve
Oh eve
Where is adam
I see
(oh eve)
Youve been kicked
(youve been kicked)
Out of the garden
(out of the garden)
And I said
Oh eve
(oh eve)
Where is adam
(where is adam)
Now youve been kicked
(now youre kicked out of the garden)
Out of the garden
(Ive been wandering from shore to shore)
Now Ive been wandering from shore to shore
(now I have found)
Now adam dont you find
(there is no more)
Now there is no more
(pacem in terris)
Pacem in terris
(mir, shanti, salaam, hey wa)
Mir, shanti, salaam, hey wa
(dont you wish)
Dont you wish
(love)
Love alone
(dont you wish)
Dont you wish
(um love)
Love
(that love alone)
Dont you wish
(could save the world)
Love alone
(from disaster)
Dont you wish
Love
(dont you wish)
Dont you wish
Love alone
(alone alone)
Could save the world from disaster
(could save the world from disaster)
If only love
Could end the confusion
(end the confusion)
Or is it just one more illusion
And is it pacem in terris
(or is it just)
Mir, shanti, salaam, hey wa
(one more illusion)
Well if you want to have great love
Youve got to have great anger
Well if you want to have great love
Youve got to have great anger
When I see innocent folks shot down
Should I just shake my head and frown
Oh, oh pacem in terris
Mir, shanti, salaam, hey wa
Well if you want to hit the target square
(well if you want to hit the target square)
You better not have
(you better not have)
Better not have thine anger
(thine anger)
Or else itll be just one more time
(well if you want to hit the target square)
Where the correction creates another crime
(you better)
Well if you want to hit the target square
(oh oh pacem in terris)
You better not have thine anger
(mir, shanti, salaam, hey wa)
Or else it will be just one more time
The correction creates another crime
(oh eve)
(go tell adam)
(next time he asks you you say)
Oh eve
(baby its cold outside)
You tell adam
(oh eve)
Next time he asks you you say
(you tell adam)
Baby its cold outside
(next time he asks you you say)
Whats the password to come inside
(baby its cold outside)
You say oh oh pacem in terris
(whats the password to come inside)
Pacem in terris
(whats the password to come inside)
(you say oh oh pacem in terris)
(mir, shanti, salaam, hey wa)
(hey wa)
(hey wa)
Oh eve
Go tell adam
Weve got to build a new garden
Oh eve
Go tell adam
Weve got to build a new garden
Weve got to get working on a building
A decent home for all of gods children
Oh, oh pacem in terris
Mir, shanti, salaam, hey wa
Well if music could only bring peace
Well Id only be a musician
Yeah if music could only bring peace
Id only be a musician
Yeah if songs could do more than dull this pain
And oh melodys break these chains well
Yeah yeah pacem in terris
Mir, shanti, salaam, hey wa
Oh, oh pacem in terris
Mir, shanti, salaam, hey wa
Oh, oh pacem in terris
Mir, shanti, salaam, hey wa
Four thousand languages in this world
Well it means the same thing to every boy and girl
Oh, oh pacem in terris
Mir, shanti, salaam, hey wa
(love alone)
(could save the world from disaster)
(now if only love could end the confusion)
(well I said you)
(is it one more illusion now)
(oh, oh pacem in terris)
(mir, shanti, salaam, hey wa)

Si Papa Ug Ang Iyang Puting Kabayo
Usa ka adlaw niana
Misakay si papa sa iyang puting kabayo
Padulong siya sa baybayon
Aron sa sayo maligo
Walay kaon ang kabayo
Apan si papa walay puangod
Siging bunal sa kabayo
Siging syagit nga magpaspas
Ug dagan hala paspas pa gyod
Ug dagan kanang morag naglupad
Sa dihang naa na sila sa dagat
Gusto ko na untang sulsulan ang
Puting kabayo aron molangoy
Kini sa pikas nga isla aron
Dili na kani mabunalan
Sa akong walay puangod nga amahan
Apan wala akoy nahimo
Sa kaisog sa akong palibot
Usa ka adlaw niana
Miabot ang dautang balita
Adunay kunoy dako nga tawo
Gikilaw sa iyang kaugalingong kabayo

Ayaw Pod Ihungit Uy!
Ako lang putlan ang kamot
Aron di lang pud hungit kayo
Kana bang di ra pud klaro
Kanang medyo, sort of,
Mora’g si Mister Yoso.
Sama ini:
Gitulon sa kangingit
Ang kahayag. Smooth sa esophagus.
Gabii na, morag dako ug itom nga
Uwak. Milupad, miwarawara sa iyang
Mga pako. Gitukob ang adlaw.
Tan-awa ko, piyong kadyot
Kadyot lang, dugangi pa kadyot.
Ukba pod ang imong mata
Ayaw pagpamilok. Piloa ang imong
Dila. Paduladulaa sa imong tilaok.
Ayaw tunla. Ang imong dila
Kanang padulong sa imong
Gihandom sa kasingkasing
Ok ra ka?
Kagahi pa sa imong panumdoman
Katig-a ba sa cover design sa imong
Kasingkasing. Hard copy.
Matu’g ko sa katre ni
Procrustes. Na, hala, inata
Ang akong tiil. Biraha pagpugos
Kay mubo ra.
Ingon ana gyod kana si
Sisyphus. Snub kaayo, sige
Lang aswat ligid sa iyang bato.
Maghimo og dakong lingin
Walay katapusan walay sinugdanan.
Sus, buntag na man diay! Time na

Vent paa min Atterkomst!
Jeg bringer Urten Dig, Din Lykkens Blomst.

Fra Vesterhavets Lande
Fra Vesterhavets Lande
Hen over dybe Vande
Du kom til Danmarks Strande,
Hvor Guld paa Marken groer;
Her Du i Bøgesalen
Tidt hørte Nattergalen
Og saae, ved Taget Svalen,
Symbol paa Troskab, boer.
Paa Svalens Ryg der sidder
Gud Amor, klædt som Ridder.
Forstaaer Du Fugleqvidder?
Jeg næstendeels det troer!
En Hilsen! Hvad?

Og naar ved Juul de hvide Bier sværmed;

Vande Mataram
India, my native-place, is a land of spirituality,
A symbol of great culture and civilization,
Where a host of people visit to quench their thirst of knowledge,
And to learn a lesson of love, truth, non-violence, peace and purity,
I’m proud of being an Indian, a child of Mother-India:
Who shelters all—friend or enemy, and,
Always a source of devotion and inspiration,
And I'm proud to be an Indian,
Now my heart and mind shout 'Vande Mataram'.

Venskabs-Pagten
Den tynger mod Jorden Grenen;

Sank i salten Hav;
Arken, da det endte,
Stod paa Ararat;
Duen Noah sendte
Ud i Frygtens Nat.
Bunden som til Sengen
Hver i Arken sad;
Duen kom fra Engen
Med et Olieblad.
Doctoren som Duen
Tidt man venter paa;
Træder han i Stuen,
Hjertet haabe maa;
Ingen Laurbærblade
Han i Munden har,
Vi ham ryge lade
Da en god Cigar.
Træder Du i Stuen,
Ryger, som vi bad,
Ja, da er Du Duen,
Som har Haabets Blad!

Republic Day Anniversary Celebration In India,2012
IRT PMC, PMCH, RTS & SoN, Perundurai
The day, we know this land is ours, our own;
The day we say all Indians are brethren;
The day we love our motherland, more than our lives;
That day, our freedom, we have truly won!
Let Indians all have just one heart;
Let’s love the soil in which we are born;
Let’s live in unity as one;
Let integrity glow brighter than sun!
Let’s remember the lives all lost,
For getting freedom at blood-cost;
Let’s preserve what with toil, they got;
Let pride not leave our land to rot!
On this great day, let’s all rejoin;
Let’s do our duty selflessly;
Let’s thank and pray to Almighty,
To guide us to heaven, safely.
