Melody of a Shattered Soul!
If you give him one of these instruments?
Guitar, Bass, Violin
Mandolin,
Viola, Cello, Banjo
Lute, Bouzouki
Ukulele and more!
His fingers could touch every string
And he sings the deep sorrow
Deeper than an Ocean.
There's no stage for him in this cruel World
And he strums his broken Ukulele
in a dark street corner under a starry night.
You can hear the melody of a shattered soul!

The ukulele was the first of many instruments they had bought for me. They got me a guitar when I was eleven, which my son Morgan uses until this day. They paid for 3 years of guitar lessons; they bought me a bass fiddle, which I still play.

A flimsy soul who plays it again monotonously?
He strums his broken stringless lute in a filthy street corner
And still the hidden sentimental tune comes out in the lonely moonlit night,
But if he gets the missing strings back somehow
I am sure that you could hear that full song of life.

A Guitar At Two In The Morn
Someone strums a guitar, at two in the morn,
Such a melancholy sound.
In the darkest hours before the dawn,
Where only silence does abound.
The body of a woman, weeping in the night,
While somebody strums her strings.
A tortured soul, before first light,
While the guitar gently sings.

Deep down in the darkness.
Way down deep deep in the darkness.
A broken soul does lie all alone.
Alone and near beaten.
She's is frightened and alone.
But tries to face the world alone.
But deep down in the darkness she cant make it on her own.
She is destined to be alone.
Deep down in the darkness she sits in her corner.
Her body covered in scars it's the only way for her to feel alive.
The cuts and scars they run so much deeper.
Deeper in to her broken fragile soul.
She has no goals.
Deep down in the darkness,
She knows she can not win this fight.
It's all been show to her.
Like a present of the future.
She can not win she can only lose.
Deep down her darkness,
She's all alone coping on her own.
She cannot win only lose.
Deep ibn the darkness of the guttet,
Lays the broken girl with her broken soul.
May she have eternal rest.

Prelude
To smite Apollo's lyre I am unable;
Of loveliness, alas! I cannot sing.
My lot it i, across the tavern table,
To start a chorus to the strumming string.
I have no gift to touch your heart to pity;
I have no power to ring the note of pain:
All I can do is pipe a pot-house ditty,
Or roar a Rabelaisian refrain.
Behold yon minstrel of the empty belly,
Who seeks to please the bored and waiting throng,
Outside the Opera with ukulele,
And raucous strains of syncopated song.
His rag-time mocks their eager hearts a-hunger
For golden voices, melody divine:
Yet . . . throw a penny to the ballad-monger;
Yet . . . listen idly to this song of mine.
For with a humble heart I clank rhyme's fetters,
And bare my buttocks to the critic knout;
A graceless hobo in the Land of Letters,
Piping my ditties of the down-and-out.
A bar-room bard . . . so if a coin you're flinging,
Pay me a pot, and let me dream and booze;
To stars of scorn my dour defiance ringing,
With battered banjo and a strumpet Muse.

Dance With Me Tonight
Love in my heart is in motion, love in my thoughts are devotion
To find someone like you is a melody that comes true...
And now all I have to say is I want you...
Love is wonders of the universe running ramped like a current so lost in you.
Love like words a million times I want you here by my side, hold me, kiss me, touch me,
Like the ocean free I just want you to me.
Tell me we will be in love my girl.
Dance with me tonight we see the starry night.
Dance with me Dance with me I want to make you mine.
This hour, this minute, this second I give my soul to you.
Dance with me hold me tight.
I want to dance with you I want to see you through.
Kiss you forever.
Dreaming many nights praying for your love in my sight
I don’t know what to say to you,
But I know how to love you.
I want to be your kiss, I want to be your tear like a rainy day Dance away come back to me, like a candle waving bye I sigh I cry to be a part of you.
Wondering about the days that lay ahead is said to be the best thoughts of you and me.
I want you I need you.
Now before I met you the world was just a fantasy made up in my own world now I met you and you make me complete,
So lost in to a heart you built upon me.
Dance with me tonight we see the starry night.
Dance with me Dance with me I want to make you mine.
This hour, this minute, this second I give my soul to you.
Dance with me hold me tight.
I want to dance with you I want to see you through.
Kiss you forever.
You know how long I waited to see that day you and I like
Crystal diamonds glitter in the sky,
I never want to make you cry.
I wonder some days as I sigh about how to sweetly hold you near, to kiss my love on to you dear,
Deep in my mind I sing to you, bold is my love a desire in my Soul makes me flames higher.
A fire that burns I want to know, your love all I have
You’re the one I love for true, I want you.
Now soon to be with you I want it all, the world I give if I could to you
Dance with me my desire I admire my thoughts are high on you.
Dance with me tonight we see the starry night.
Dance with me Dance with me I want to make you mine.
This hour, this minute, this second I give my soul to you.
Dance with me hold me tight.
I want to dance with you I want to see you through.
Kiss you forever.
You now make dreams complete sing to me I sing to you
Let us be as one my girl your words heavenly
Hold me near be with me I want to be that soul mate
Say to me we shall be never apart but love every day a brand New start.
Love me now kiss me there touch me how dance with me…
Dance with me tonight we see the starry night.
Dance with me Dance with me I want to make you mine.
This hour, this minute, this second I give my soul to you.
Dance with me hold me tight.
I want to dance with you I want to see you through.
Kiss you forever.

Something Within
Silent fingers strum
a whispered melody
crooning deep within
a forgotten memory,
where sorrow sings so softly
persuading guitar strings,
tears flow in harmony,
felt but seldom seen.
Phantom lyrics haunt
repeating words unsaid,
hypnotic hollow humming
bleeds like rusted lead.
A familiar serenade
from origins unknown
has captured my essence
and guides this mortal soul,
to places once abandoned
and stories left untold,
a quiet ache,
deep within
that has taken hold.

My baSs gUitar stRing
Pull my string as i sit my back on you
i can make anything you want me to
your hands touching mine at the rhythm of blues
playing fastly like you do with your bass guitar, oh!
And you said relax, don't scream
i did bite my string to shut the voice within
as you move....move...and move...
playing on my curve, your bass guitar moan....

A Corner Streetlight
Dark corner in the night
Illuminated by only the moon's light
Unitl the street light
Floods the scene with a glowing light
Nothing stands on the corner
Yet stories, stories of this light
Are told in the night
Stories are told of this corner
A murder, a rape
A suicide, a drug overdose
The street light shows
What the world has to display.
A child troubled, deeply hurt
By a girl who he loved
With all his heart and soul.
She left him torn apart.
The street light, like a stage
Gives him a place to stay
The light shows his sorry tears
Then shows the gun next to his head.
A woman, small
Stands in the light
Screams for help
As the man she sees is doing her unkindly
A man left laying, needle in hand
He got his fix, his final fix.
Theat saved him
From this wretched land.
A woman left bloody
On the post
A knife in her chest
The broken heart bleeds
The street light shows us
Life's evil on display
But when the light turns off, like now
Does it all go away?

Soiree
He brings his Ukulele
And she holds a fiddle
Birds fly to their roosts
After the day's struggle
Twilight a gathering
For a musical fiesta
And the dumb sky sings
While the poor disabled boy
Claps with his one hand!

Chick Magnet
Don’t play the cello if you want
to be a magnet for the chicks,
a guy who on guitar strings picks
is thought be far more gallant.
I learnt this fact from Yo-Yo Ma,
who probably believes that poets
have also far more luck with coeds
than cellists. Maybe many are,
but I am not, unfortunate
with poems as he is with cello.
I wish I were a magnet fellow,
and made the chicks importunate,
first for my poems, then my bod,
but since I don’t play the guitar,
my life is black as café noir,
and I am lonelier than God.
Charlie Rose on December 3,2008 interviewed Yo-Yo Ma, who accompanied on his cello the singer and songwriter from North Carolina, James Taylor, who also plays the guitar. Yo Yo explained that he has played the cello since the age of three, and that this has not made him a chick magnet. James Taylor started off by playing the cello but gave it up for the guitar, which Yo-Yo considers a wise decision.

051110G power of fun
printed fabric dancing with drums
swirling poles; light at both ends
vigorous steps wakes all my senses
abbreviated screams wards off evils
under glitters of stars along shoreline
where loves flow like pouring wine
ancestral ukulele strums with ballad
journey of brave lad in search for love
i let the drum take me to gentle move
powered by juice from coconut grove
whatever it is; it loosen all my veins
i’m prisoner; including all my friends

Broken (work in progress)
falling into the sullen
gray slumber of
my broken dreams
to the off-key melody
of my broken guitar
echoing the sound
of my broken heart
i yearn for glue
with which to mend
my broken home
that shattered along
with the pink guitar
both, when whole,
held beautiful music
but now i have only
scars as my token
of a life that lies
in hell, alone and broken.
(alternate ending. w.i.p.)
so i gathered all the pieces
though sharp edges
drew my blood
and fashioned a new heart
with holes to let love in
for i refuse to stay
alone and broken.

Ocean Deep
Ocean deep
Love cant you see Im alone
Cant you give this fool a chance
A little love is all I ask - a little kindness
In the night
Please dont leave me behind
No - dont tell me love is blind
A little love is all I ask and that is all
Oh love Ive been searching so long
Ive been searching highnlow
A little love is all I ask - a little sadness
When youre gone
Maybe you need a friend
Only please dont lets pretend
A little love is all I ask and that is all
I wanna spread my wings - but I just cant fly
As a string of pearls and pretty girls go sailing by
Ocean deep - Im so afraid to show my feelings
I have sailed a million ceilings - in my -
Solitary room
Ocean deep - will I ever find a lover
Maybe she has found another
And as I cry myself to sleep
I know this love of mine Ill keep - ocean deep
Love cant you hear when I call
Cant you hear a word I say
A little love is all I ask
A little feeling when we touch
Why am I still alone?
Ive got a heart without a home
A little love is all I ask - and that is all
I wanna spread my wings - but I just cant fly
As a string of pearls and pretty girls go sailing by
Ocean deep - Im so afraid to show my feelings
I have sailed a million ceilings - in my -
Solitary room
Ocean deep - will I ever find a lover
Maybe she has found another
And as I cry myself to sleep
I know this love of mine Ill keep - ocean deep
Im so lonely lonely lonely...
Maybe..

Can you hear my soul sing?
The sounds of my soul are a symphony,
always a lilting melody.
There's never a minor chord to interfere
with all the sweet tones that I hear.
The quiet reflections are the rests
that pause in its ongoing quest
to proceed with violin strings so sweet
to heal the pierces that I meet.
The harps and orchestral sounds
allow my soul its leaps and bounds.
And the basso profundo is your touch
which reaches my soul in a tender clutch.
The treble sounds reach out to you
as only I can give to you.
For my soul has always sung a song
and consoled my body as I moved along.
I can hear it wherever I go.
Can you hear my soul sing?
I will wish it so.
Listen my love so you can hear
the song that I am for you, my dear

Just cause hes late
Dont mean hell never get through
He told me he loves you
He aint no liar, I aint either
So lets have a smile for an old engine driver
So lets have a smile for an old engine driver
Please take a sweet
Come take a walk with me
Well sort it out
Back at my place, maybe
Itll come right
You aint no fool, I aint either
So why not be nice to an old engine driver?
Better be nice to an old engine driver
Better be nice to an old engine driver

Cello, cello, cello, cello, cello, cello
Cello, cello, cello, cello, cello, cello
Cello, cello, cello, cello, cello, cello
Cello, cello, cello, cello, cello, cello
I cant believe it
Do my eyes deceive me?
Am I back in your arms?
Away from all harm?
Its like a dream to be with you again
Cant believe that Im with you again
I missed you and I must admit
I kissed a few and once did sit
On ivor the engine drivers lap
And later with him, had a nap
You are forgiven, you are forgiven, you are forgiven ... (ad lib)
You are forgiven

Selling the Guitar
The old strings of this guitar
they argue with my fingers
Perhaps the E string
with its proud tone
has better things to do
Maybe one night
this guitar
chose to become a piano
or speak other languages
Someone put the words
Out of tune
It no longer understands me
Now the songs refuse to be heard
Now things don't sound the same
And this guitar, I'm selling-
Perhaps has something against my fingers.
