A hungry soldier never polishes his toy gun

A pauper takes out a notepad from his satchel
And scribble something with a pencil.
Where is the bitter pill that neutralizes the hunger?
I have never been to a school and don't know the capital letters,
Commas, Fullstops, Semicolons and Question marks in this misery life.
Even I cannot erase my sins as it's against the law it seems.
I humbly request a death with dignity
If someone hears patiently?

* [ And how does this happen to me, that the Mother of my Lord should come to me.]

No Lessons Learned

Death for causing death
You can't be lenient
A cold blooded slayer
Deserves capital punishment.
He snuffed out a life
With no hint of remorse
Extinguishing his life
Remains the only course.
He killed one
Still in its bud
Justice must be done
It bays for his blood.
The law takes its course
To the gallows he's sent
There's is no remorse
He deserved capital punishment.
Did it happen again?
Killing of an innocent?
It was no lesson
The capital punishment!

Poem Versus Prose

You do not like this poem
And I do not like your prose
Enough with your predicates
And your subjects
In this poem you will find
No commas and semicolons

This poem
Is armed with rhythms
Stanzas and shifts
This poem has no end
There are no colons
In this poem

Your prose is replete with nuances
This poem echoes
The plight of the oppressed
And dispossessed

In your prose I find parentheses
This poem speaks of life
Your prose can be edited
Cut this poem and it bleeds

You do not like this poem
And I do not like your prose
Prose has pauses and hyphens
Prose comes to a stop
This poem plugs images
Even in your head

Prose deals with fiction
And nonfiction
This poem can be heard
It can be felt
It speaks of hunger
Of hopelessness
Homelessness
It speaks of a bitter reality

Soma

Is is a bitter pill to swallow
But what is life but a bitter pill?
Then a feeling follows
That stuffs the Vedic gods to their gills.
Did it come from India or Persia,
Or only a lab in New Jersey?
Depending on your version
And what reaction it brings:
Skeleto-muscular relaxation
Lack of pain and spasms,
Flat-out beating an orgasm.
And the myth of soma is a truth-
No secret herb or root,
Just this bitter pill after all,
Indeed only a pharmaceutical.

I Cant Own Her

And I may as well wish for the moon in hand
I own this river, I own this town
All of its climbers and its winos sliding down
But I cant own her and I never will
No I cant own her and thats a bitter pill
Taken with rain
til the gutter shines like the swirling sky
Like the swirling sky
Ive got all morning, Ive got all year
Its down in my pocket with the daylight folded there
But I cant own her and I never will
No I cant own her and thats a bitter pill
Taken with rain
How Id wash her hair like the swirling sky
Like the swirling sky
And when I say I cant own her
I dont mean to buy her
Its nothing at all to do with money
I simply want her in my arms forever more.
Is that an odd request?
Is that something so funny?
And I may as well wish for the moon in hand
Yes theres more chance of that coming true
But I cant own her and I never will
No I cant own her and thats a bitter pill
So I cant own her (of all the things youve got the thing you want the most is her)
And I never will (and shes the one thing that you just cant have)
No I cant own her (of all the things youve got the thing you want the most is her)
And thats a bitter pill (and shes the one thing that you just cant have)
Taken with rain
Which I swallow down with the swirling sky
With the swirling sky
But I cant own her
And I may as well wish for the moon in hand
No I cant own her
Yes theres more chance of that coming true

Repartee of a Renegade?

Skinny Mom walked towards the gravel road
Where the Pawnshop stands,
Pawned the talisman and her few 22 carat gold jewelry!
She bought for me the valuable second hand books
from the senile professor's house.
Chemistry, Biology, Physics and Trigonometry.
Zoology, Psychology but not Sexology?
O my poor Mom gone with the wind?
The oil lamp's short wick half asleep
Not enough paraffin it seemed?
Moonless nights in the rainy days
Lightening helped me to read well the old books.
But my sad letters soaked with tears for the test papers
Heartless Examiner purposely rejected and I was failed.
Studies were stopped in the drought!
But still I learn in the life-school
The circles, triangles, full stops, commas
Semicolons, question marks & proper nouns.
How beautiful if the World's a Square[In geometry, a square is a regular quadrilateral. This means that it has four equal sides and four equal angles (90-degree angles, or right angles) .]
Then I could have hide in a dark corner and cry!
But it's global & rotates with educated politicians
Throws me here & there like in a Gymnasium?

[My dear poor Mom! ,
I requested from a Medical faculty in a University here that we're (beloved & myself) voluntarily willing to give our useless bodies one day when the breathing stopped that would give much benefits for others when they do a research of our mysterious souls! Not yet responded from that end?
Mom! Casket is very beautiful but expensive than the life here?
Everybody comes to the parlor and give their respects at last, that's all! ]

Bitter

MOTHER MOTHER CAN YOU HEAR ME
I KEEP TRYING JUST TO FIND ME
ALL I KNOW NOW
ALL YOU SHOW ME
ENDLESS QUESTIONS
HOPELESS ENDING
THIS BITTER PILL IS PUSHING ME AWAY
AND NOW I FEEL LIKE THERE'S NOTHING LEFT TO SAY
AND I PRETEND TO LOOK THE OTHER WAY
BUT IN THE END WILL I BE OKAY
FATHER FATHER WILL YOU BET THERE AS I CRY OUT SILENT AGAIN
TURNING COLDER, FROZEN DEEPER
NUMB TO THIS DREAM SLEEPING WITHIN
THIS BITTER PILL IS PUSHING ME AWAY
AND NOW I FEEL LIKE THERE'S NOTHING LEFT TO SAY
AND I PRETEND TO LOOK THE OTHER WAY
BUT IN THE END WILL I BE OKAY
BEFORE I FACE ANOTHER DAY, WON'T YOU LET ASLEEP
LOST AMONG THE DREAMS THAT ALWAYS COMFORT ME
AND BEFORE I FIND MY FEET
WON'T YOU SHOW ME WHAT I NEED
WHAT I NEED TO WALK AGAIN
THIS BITTER PILL IS PUSHING ME AWAY
AND NOW I FEEL LIKE THERE'S NOTHING LEFT TO SAY
AND I PRETEND TO LOOK THE OTHER WAY
BUT IN THE END WILL I BE OKAY
WILL I BE OKAY

Kill Thy Flesh

'Who are you to say
I must take a knife and kill my flesh?
Is this your number one test?
You SAW what happen to my brother,
And I must do the same…. am I bother?
Telling me to kill my flesh,
I thought know what's best? '

'I'm the Lord you're God,
I'm strength, the joy of your life
I can take the pain away, and erase
Any strives.
I can set you free and give you victory,
I'm the one on the inside of you,
One God in the Holy Trinity.
He's an accuser of the saints
Don't choose death no more…you can't'
'My sins are way too drastic Lord
How can forgive me-
I even cursed in crowd,
How can you have mercy? '

'I'm the Lord your God,
Who is able to forgive.
I will open my arms,
Come as you are
Kill thy flesh,
And all things will
Granted unto you.
The enemy is fighting you
Just tell him to prepare to lose.'

'Oh lord have mercy on me,
I've sinned; I want to live for eternity
Oh lord have mercy, feel so guilty.
I refuse to follow you and fail
Not lifting my eyes in no hell'

Euthanasia Feb 5th 2011

Somehow or other, old age crept up on me - slowly at first,
And if you are lucky too, this could happen to you but there’s worse,
It’s not knowing the time and date of your approaching death,
You know; the day and time you will take your last and final breath.

You just can’t take an euthanasia pill and kick the bucket,
Can’t do it in Ontario, Nova Scotia or Nantucket,
But you can do it in Switzerland, Washington or Oregon,
And there’s no such place on the Internet where you can logon.

Though death can be arranged at the abortion clinic every day,
You can’t arrange your own death with dignity - no possible way,
It’s a criminal offence and if you lived; you could be in jail,
Though those at the abortion clinic, are considered okay.

Something should be done, so I can plan my way out of this life,
I know it’s a sin, a criminal offence and full of strife,
If the appointed Supreme Court could change abortion laws,
Why can’t they decide to add on a death with dignity clause?

My Upcoming Death Mar 10th,2011

I want to die on the fifth of July twenty forty two,
I’ll be a hundred and five by then so I’ll be just about due,
But this is death with dignity that is illegal here and now,
You can’t control the end of your life, so just stand up and take a bow.

But who knows, maybe by then, the death rules will have changed,
And maybe death with dignity can by then be arranged,
I’d like to take a pill or get a needle and lie down and die,
And as I’m doing it, slowly wave my family and friends goodbye.

It’s not like it’s just around the corner and any day soon,
And it’s not even on the next spring tide or phase of the moon,
Stick around and if things change, maybe you might do it too,
And on that fifth of July maybe we can talk and have a brew.

Your Pencil

Sharpen your pencil and let me use it,
For the righteous works of some people are clearly evident;
But those thst are otherwise cannot be hidden.
Sharpen your pencil according to the promise of life,
And like a tree planted by the waters of love;
For the sins of others are ahead of them while,
The sins of others trail behind them.

The Sickness

he cannot imagine himself
now
swallowing from pill to pill
his stomach
becoming more like
a pharmaceutical
storage cabinet

there is a pill for his
numb arms
another pill for his
acidic stomach
more pills for him
to sleep
another pill for his
throat infection
another one for his
allergies
side effects of some
drugs that he had been
taking

this sickness into death
until one day
he refuses any pill
not that he cannot pay the bill
he is ready for
the thrill

Bitter Pill

And the label said take two for the pain
So now I medicate my brain
The conflict rubs against my grain
But I cannot flush this down the drain
We are so hopeless
We are so hopelessly in love
She breaks my will
Shes my bitter pill
Addicted to her
Cant fight off the chill
Shes blurs my world
Shes my bitter pill
We creep the night
Just to taste the thrill
Hopelessly in love
Shes the kind of love drives a man insane
She sticks her poison right in my vien
Spinning around
Over and upside down in love
She breaks my will
Shes my bitter pill
Addicted to her
Cant fight off the chill
Shes blurs my world
Shes my bitter pill
We creep the night
Just to taste the thrill
Hopelessly in love
She blurs my world
Shes my bitter pill
She breaks my will
Shes my bitter pill
We creep the night
Just to taste the thrill
Addicted to her
Shes my bitter pill

Dignity

Dignity is what we want,
As human beings on this earth;
Dignity is what we can’t,
Give up anyway since birth.

Dignity is innate right,
God has bestowed man, He made;
Dignity is cause to fight
When employees get under-paid.

Dignity, all need always
At home, at school and one’s work-place;
Dignity for human race,
Men must guarantee all days.

Dignity in livelihood,
Receive should all citizens;
Dignity in dying too,
World must assure everyone.

Dignity is what we need
In life on earth and when we die;
Dignity is good indeed
For creatures born under the sky.

Dignity for man and beast
Is a must for all, west / east;
Dignity for anyone
Shouldn’t be denied, any time!

Whatever it takes Lord

Whatever it takes Lord, for Your will is best
my spirit is in turmoil and I cannot rest.
The sin permeates deeply affecting my soul
and I am in need Your cleansing to make me whole.

Whatever it takes Lord, don't hold anything back
for I have slipped far away becoming so slack.
It is best that I face up to what I have done
I've grieved Your Holy Spirit and wounded Your Son.

Whatever it takes Lord, I deserve all I get.
my sin is before me and won't let me forget.
So I kneel before You and in penitence bow
in need of Your help to work it all through somehow.

Whatever it takes Lord, do not spare any pain
for this sinful life of mine has hurt You again.
I wish to confess these evil deeds I deplore
and to walk back in fellowship with You once more.

Whatever it takes Lord, I want to let them go
these sins that I have been chasing hinder me so.
I wish to put these sinful desires behind me
so that I can become the man You want me to be.

Whatever it takes Lord, I'll face up to the costs
for it will be worth it to remove all the dross.
To lift the great burden and free me up to show
the fruit of Your Spirit and like Jesus to grow.

*********

Whatever it cost Roy, I was willing to pay.
Wherever it took Roy, I went all the way.
Whatever it needed, I was willing to give.
Whatever it required Roy, I died that you might live.
Whatever it demanded Roy, My life I have given.
You need only to confess it Roy, to be forgiven.

A sensual scribble

I was the scribe who woke up at dawn
Finding a clean sheet of paper
And this glossy sort of ballpoint pen
Having the urge to write
Something sensual
My fingers spread the paper
On this table
Where there is so much disorder
Some paper clips and
Floppy discs scattered
Scotch tapes and mail openers
And some still unopened mails
That I did not mind
Not my priority

I was into something sensual
On this clean sheet of paper
On an urge to write
Grabbed this glossy sort of ballpoint pen
And start scribbling
Some lovely head notes
“My dear darling”
Careful strokes in curves
Sliding on paper
My fingers are wildly
Caressing to the shapes of
Sensual letters and words
And breathtaking sentences

“You know that you make me
Hot and you make me wild
And I always remember you”

And I am at the middle
Of so much longing
Using such letters

U and I
And w and e

Lots of ohs and ahs

And s and e and x
L and o and v and e

To make sense
Without pretense

Some exclamations
And pauses of commas and
Semicolons spread on some
Corners of this paper
With so much
Unstoppable anticipation

Somewhere in the center
I pierced this paper
With this glossy ballpoint pen
Writing something
Emphatic
Clinching
And I was at the height
Of my desiring and
So much liking
Something ecstatic
And calming
At the end

It was a beautiful piece
Of a scribble
Written at dawn

And I wrote at the end part there
“With all my love I remain
Your faithful slave”

And a postscript at the tip
Of my tongue
Written with a nip

“When will I see you again? ”

The letter shall be mailed at once
She will understand that pierce
Somewhere at the center something
That was ecstatic and she will remember
Every letter every word was an ember embedded.

Death Shall Not

Death, they say
will take everyone away

but there are things it could never take
even if life was at stake

death shall not remove your laugh which still rings in my ears
death shall not erase your face with your smiles and your tears
death shall not take those years

death shall not cut off those endless walks
death shall not wipe out those honest talks

those shy looks it could not steal
only god knows how i feel

god, sorry those words are fake
but my sorrow is your mistake

well, who am i fooling
death has taken everything from me
since it has taken you

For these things surely remain
But somehow i know they will never happen again.
