On The First Anniversary Of Nuclear Explosions

The pitcher of the Earth
Has got emptied
The water-bags of eyes
Of the damsels going to the fountains
Have dried;
Un-kissed kisses of the damsel of Thur
From the yellow branch of lips
Shed one by one.

The farms
Where my ploughmen seeded Life
Now Death is getting its roots deeper.
On the chest of the Earth
The crops of sores wave,
And half dead colonies: villages and towns
Are sitting on the brims of grave,
Hanging the feet down,
Gilding eyes with a hope of last ablutions.

Those who fight on the front thirst
Their weak eyes gaze at the supply of rain;
In the season of migration,
Greenery and the birds,
Have surpassed the human beings.

The bowls of dried fountains
Far and near are lying turned up;
And on the paths leading to the founts,
The jingles of anklets and bangles
Are lying dead, un-graved, without coffins.

The giggles of children
Left away one by one in the chase of water,
And a thirsty-river
On the paper of sand
Is composing an elegy of Water.
On the forehead of the Earth,
Thirst is inscribed for the descending generations,
Ah! The water of our eyes has dried.

No City Acknowledges Me (A War Poem)

My heart
And it is evident from my forehead,
I am an historian of the ruined world;
I do not have any reader in my fortune,
And no city acknowledges me.

I am food of the same Earth,
My fate is destined
To make me Hiroshima of this century.
Ah! Migration is imperative on my fellow beings.

War!
Encamps on my sands,
And Death is binding anklets
To be my partner in the ballet.

My people have buried Laughter,
In their lips,
Desertedness sniggers at me,
With voiceless giggles.

The eyes of Explosive reflect,
The conspiracy to preserve
Dead bodies of the butterflies.
My weaponless seasons,
Make infertile resistance against wars;
When Fire smacks my calendar.

War is destined to thrust me,
Into such an era which never turns again.
Ah! Each widow of the grave,
Permits to pass through but inside.

An Epitaph Of A Collective Grave

Human race,
On soggy lath of its fate,
Writes suicide.
The window of my eye,
Opens to the future.

For the lap of my Earth,
An epitaph of a collective grave
Is being written;
On the head-side of which
A dried lamp is looking to the way
For mustard of its own share.

Ras Koh Has Died

(1)

When the womb of Ras Koh
Had been burnt, turned into ashes,
Kaleem (converser)
With blessed steps, came down from the top,
Into the valley.
From one end to the other
Death danced;
He had in his right hand the slats of death,
And the parched lips
Leapt with a wish to kiss them.
In the left hand was a vial
That contained Surma of Ras Koh,
Millions of eyes lay
On the declining route of the hill
With an urge to have a sight imparting skewer.

The descender broke
Good tidings with a new zealous tone,
“Ras Koh has been eternalized.”
And the people began to chafe
Their forehead on the ashes in gratitude.

(2)

Ras Koh has died!
The winds dressed in black, disheveling hair,
Move valley to valley, singing His elegy.

Ras Koh has died!
The birds in his ragged costume,
Have forgotten their flights,
And now His awaiting paths
Are eager to listen
To the sounds of foot-steps of a man,
Now who will come up to share
The pangs of the mountain?

Ras Koh has died!
His thirsty shepherds have turned into dust
Of the paths leading to dry fountains.
Now black rains rain on its top
Which in near future
Will be the fate my courtyards.

Ras Koh has died!
And now from His lifeless ashes
Will emerge Several Hiroshimas.

A Song On Resurgence Of The Earth

War
Begins with the tears,
And peace with smiles.

Peace
Is an enslaved damsel that the warriors:
The guardians of peace captured
And imprisoned her
Amid the walls by force.

What type of life this is,
That the thought of death
Never releases us even for a moment;
Upon my colonies falls
Depression from the sky,
And in dread,
The breasts of mothers have dried.

In my infertile land
Peace does not grow;
It is a an indoor plant
Of the land of the descending Sun
Which is exported to favourite countries
And so is earned the foreign exchange.

The deprived people,
Like us can not afford peace;
For us life is harder than the war,
But life in the clutches of death,
Is demanding its own right.

Come!
Let us compose a new song,
On resurgence of the Earth.

Water

water for water is water, thirst made me dried
eyes tears flow water, leaves skin broken
need water, cure my pain smooth my rough
surface makes it clean

pure and perfect water made so bright, all the
day expose heat dried my sweat, in my face
and lips tears seen in the eyes

all day long I seat in my brow, waiting the sun
down to lead me low, hunger and thirst open
my throat, water spelled drops like a dew

wash my warm body as you can see, the limps
legs and the hands would be easy, where ever
in my body, the water comes refreshing to me

slowly, slowly, fell the cool water beneath
my delicate skin, in my buttock where you have
to stay, hold on, I sit you in my dream, my living
water makes me the same

oh! water, please always watered me in each
new day and fell the real me

An Elegy Of The Earth

I before my death,
Have composed,
An elegy of the Earth,
Which (after war)
Roodali of the Air will sing,
Weeping and wailing,
Sitting amid the burnt
Decomposed bodies.

The Decree of Death
Has been written,
On the pale forehead of the Earth;
Only time is to be fixed.

We are neither afraid of death,
Nor covetous for life,
We only wish to relish in full,
Our natural life before the final ruin,
And it is our right too.

If war is indispensable,
We shall fight it only for our existence,
For our dreams are not
The fuel for the wars being fought on rent.

‘Roodali’ is a professional woman whom the elite class of the Sikhs hires to lament on the death of someone.

The Last Day Of Life On The Earth

The womb
Of the earth is bleeding,
Perhaps
The last day of life on this
Planet has reached;
The same day, when
The air will begin to simmer;
And the space
To quench its thirst will gulp
The seven seas.

War
Is constantly in our chase,
Let us to save our lives
Should flee to the Mars.

Journey Irritates My Soles

Give me
The wages of my hands,
So that I could dig the earth.
I have dug a canal of milk,
And consumed myself for you;
Keeping nothing reserved for myself.

I accept not
The guidance of my own belly,
I am lavishing my days hurriedly,
The world
Is lying under my heels,
Wheezing, panting for the last breath,
I have sheltered myself in my fist,
I am latent keeping the bundle
Of my dreams beneath my head.

Journey irritates my soles,
Here bellies of the people
Scuttle ahead faster than the feet,
But I have cut asunder
My belly and left it far behind.

In my gardens the birds are reducing,
In the sky of my share a holocaust is inscribed,
The lap of my Earth is going to be desolate soon.

I Am A Bride-groom Of War Procession (A War Poem)

Youth
Is the natural right
Of my innocent children.

War
Claims a part of my age;
My back is destined not to become a bow,
Death has built a nest in my chest;
And dread
Travels though my bones,
These my young and warm hands,
Which had been kissed more than often,
By my beloved women
Now are marked by death.

I wish that before my death,
I could take my aged mother in my lap;
Ah! No one is there to shed tears
On the death of Happiness.

I am a Bride-groom of war procession,
Radiation will apply Surma to my eyes,
At the very moment,
Life on my cheeks will die down,
My shoes will sleep in mud prostrate,
And the rags of my shirt,
Will cover nudity of any half-burnt tree.

Water

Water, water, water everywher!
Water has no enemies but,
How many of us do have water?
The earth consists of 70% of water and,
Mankind is still thirsty of water;
Ladies and Gentlemen,
How many of us do have enough water?
The rightousness of mankind is still negative,
Many are those who control this water!
On this earth are many without water,
On this earth too are many in darkeness,
How sad it is to see many dying of thirst;
Water has no enemy at all but, mankind has! !
The problem lies in our own hands and,
I do rest my case.

A Thorn In The Feet Of Humanity

28th May blackened
The clean countenance
Of my calendar,
And ruined
The days of future into rubble.

On that day
We turned our back
To our survival.
The sneaking era
Entangled around our feet,
And we could never rise
From that period.

Now
The smoke will spurt up
From our well furnished houses.
A dreadful explosion,
Perforated
The existence our dream.

Now we are alive
But with the dread of Death.
A half burnt corpse
Of a young solider
Haunts me in my sleeps;
It had in its cold hands,
A crumbled picture
Of a damsel who resides
On some remote unknown seaside;
And in her golden eyes
‘To wait’ is inscribed.
We are: a thorn in the feet of humanity,
That is bent upon
To lose harvest of the centuries.

My Water Fountain

I drank glasses of water,
I drank water from office coolers.
Many people drank from water fountains.

I thought my thirst I could slake,
If I drank water from a cool lake.
Then I would would drink cold water,
From gushing waterfalls.

But much to my surprise,
I thirsted for all of Earth's water.

I couldn't fathom my inner self,
About slaking my thirst insatiable.
I couldn't come to grips about,
The deep waters of my life.

Was it my body? Or was it my soul?
Then I very quickly learned,
That this thirst for water that was burning in me,
Was my unending thirst for love

That everybody yearns for.
And everybody needs.
In quantities of glasses, coolers, waterfalls,
Lakes, oceans and seas.

Half Century, Three And Half Wars

Half Century,
Three and half wars.
Our past is our future,
We have not denounced plying
With the mistakes of each other.

My body is the fodder of war,
An in front of my eyes wafts
My decomposed burnt corpse.

I am a song of those tongues
Which have been pulled out of the roots.
My hearing is being eroded
Waiting to listen to the arrival of good tidings.

Armed Forces
Pour into porches of my ears
The lead of Epic,
And Peace,
Has been flinging down exertion,
Into my eyes since centuries.

My Dreams
Deepen roots into my own soil,
In my possession,
I do not have any palace
In Europe.
My dear land that is being enslaved
Is my last abode.

I cultivate my own dreams,
Into the eyes of my own kids.
I urge for the life of peace,
And natural death.

How long we shall neglect our
The most fervent wishes?
At last
We shall have to place out
Our feet from the worn out
Torn shoes.

Avarice To Overcome A Meek Grain

What kind of incident it is,
That the most splendid women,
Of my era are carrying,
On their heads the bundles of pangs,
Of their beloved misplaced;
Stood in front of thorny fence of steel-wire,
Waiting to enter into their own lands;
In their reddish eyes,
Their well furnished houses burn.

My elders entrusted me a better world,
But I am compelled to hand over,
The descending generation a deformed world.
The crops have forgotten
The skills to grow in my farms,
Their lay ambush the dynamites in my soil.
Would that I may take all children
Of the world in my shelter!
On seeing subterranean walk of the death
In my heart creeps a wish to kiss beloved feet.
We in avarice to overcome a meek grain,
Are busy to dig out the graves of one another,
When there exists a splendid immense
Universe restless to listen the sound of strides.

Intercourse Giggles At Me

They have slaughtered my golden day
In front of my eyes,
And my mournful voice was repressed,
In the durum beats of celebration.

I am digging a grave,
In the soil of my heart.
Death
Breaks into my love brimming heart;
My people
Have forgot to feel affection for life,
And they growl at one another
With brutal sounds.

I have a menace
In front which I did not risk,
My nose,
Has died for perfumes;
And a dread
Has squeezed all tastes of my tongue.

Every night one fear lies down
Before my wife reclines beside,
Intercourse standing afar
Giggles at me,
And my bed-room
Chucks me out of the door.

Dreams and Weapons

We are the astray travellers,
Of South Asia,
We have purchased weapons
by selling our dreams;
And always preferred to form forces
To the starving children.

Now in our deserted courtyard
The trenches slink,
And blood-claiming Furnace of War
Gazes at our well grown up bodies
With capricious eyes.

War
From behind the table of dialogue
Whispers to us,
And the starved graveyard
By steadily creeping,
Has reached walls of the city.

On the branch of our helpless eyes,
The dream of prosperity and friendship
Is withering.
The moment is alert, awakening in my blood,
When these forces … in front of my eyes
Will ravage ruin Beauty and Life.

Only Death will be alive to discriminate
Between the conqueror and the conquered,
And Silences,
Will celebrate the event on our half burnt bodies.

Speak A Bit Of That Moment

Speak a bit of that moment,
A moment that contains centuries,
A moment that halts time,
A moment when someone sees
A route leading beyond the cosmos.

Speak a bit of that moment
When water and clay mingle,
And in a moment of union,
Sprouts a bud of flower.

Speak a bit of that moment,
When eyes become a heart,
When heart becomes eyes,
A star of dream, a rain-bow
Dither on the lashes.

Speak a bit of that moment,
When the Sun places its fire
On the bank of a lake,
And water becomes gold,
Miracles begin to happen.

Speak a bit of that moment,
When Love begins to blather metaphysics
When chest becomes hollow,
And heart dwells in each particle.

Speak a bit of that moment,
When sunbeams begin to fade,
The sights become vague,
The Sun dives down into puddle,
And the forms begins to muddle,
The earth beckons,
The desire of long sleep places her fingers
On the lids of eyes,
Speak a bit of that moment,
Speak a bit of that moment.

A Poem In 7000AD

(1)

In a city of the footpaths,
More than everything are the houses of God,
And at every door of the house,
It is inscribed in the ink of hatred,
“Only the people of a specific sect
Are allowed here to offer the prayers.”

(2)

After some times,
The earth will gulp into the belly,
The same city divided in blocks,
On its place the earth will bring forth,
A new fertile city whose inhabitants
Will not obtain food
From the heaps of muck.

(3)

After five thousand years,
An old archeologist,
In shadow of the drowning sun,
Will discover again,
The same buried city;
And on the chipped worn out stone
Of the ruined worship house,
Will be an inscription
In a mysterious language
And he after having read it
With troublesome attempt,
Will say with a tone of certainty
To his beloved peering into her eyes
“Definitely such cities as this was
Had no right to exist on the Earth.”

I Am Faithful To The Earth

Listen!
There grows a magic,
In the farms of my eyes,
Of curiosity of the alien directions.
There descends,
The food on my ears of unheard sounds,
And my feet have to stamp their prints
On the un-ravished dust
Of some un-reflected planet.
My nose is alive with an urge
To inhale fragrance of some alien soil,
And tongue is fasting with a yearn
To taste the dithering juicy fruit
Of shadowy trees rooted in the fertile soil
Of some unexplored planet.

From the Earth to space, I have to lay
A network of the radiant routes.
I have come to you after dowelling
My defiant horse of brilliance;
And placing my feet in its poppers
To ride on its saddled back is my dream;
I know that often dreams grow
On the tassels of impossibilities.

I have to scatter the seed of life,
In the celestial regions of the universe,
Sitting on the horse of brilliance,
For life is unaided and in the claws of death.

I am faithful to the Earth
O! My beloved speak,
“Would you accompany me? ”

Smoke Is Rising From The Branch Of Olive

War
Is impending over our heads,
And Alla Din of Death,
Having the lamp in his hands,
Is waiting for a signal.

Smoke is rising
From the branch of olive,
To see the blind,
The useless,
And the heap of broken bodies,
Is the fate of our eyes.

I am seeding the flowers,
Life, freedom, and peace.
“Peace through war” is the game
Of weapon merchants,
The powers at war have brutal relation
With one another.
