Equilibrium (Revised)

Earache, perfect for a pity-party and this is
November's best time of year, holidays near
yet not too close to be over too soon, more
work on my desk for an exciting adrenaline
rush of challenge, but I need to feel sorry for
myself - keep all other disasters at bay

Heard a Doomsday prophet say infection of
the ear, even untreated tonsillitis, can lead to
death, the effect lost as we laughed unfazed
hearing such dire predictions, we don't mind
dying per se but rebel against slow decline as
in ageing with pain - aha -

Gout says I mustn't eat chocolate or sugar but
wholegrain alternatives mean vertigo and
nearly losing consciousness, now I eat
chocolates, delight in butter and full cream
milk with cardboard tasting rice cakes; and
Christmas is to be spent with my sister, sweet

Meringue, fruit cake, vanilla sponge, hiking,
riding a fast motorbike - oh yeah, with these
wonders ahead earache will keep me safe from
calling wrath of the gods - let the pain and
aches come now so bad things required to
keep me humble will be taken care of

And all the delectable treats equilibrated
with just the right amount of suffering - as
long as pros and cons are in balance, there is
no fear of arrogance winning, and I can
dream in peace….

That I should feel this way

My nights turn into day

In pain I try to think of things
To help me ease this pain
In pain I practice memory games
But there it’s gone again

To be free from the pain, suffering, crying, going through hell my pain has caused, no more pain meds to have the memories erased of me telling my friends i have knee pain and them not believing me erased and them never knowing i had pain put in its place and being renewed into a new body where i have no knee pain but i can only dream cause i know this will never happen and wishing i was free from it all

Will I Ever Be Normal?

tears flow,
cuz i can't express how i feel inside,
ppl joke,
but it only makes the pain inside worse,
nobody should have to feel this way,
torn like they don't belong in this world,
they just want to be normal,
and be accepted for all that they are,
but it feels like they still have to pretend,
to be who the world wants them to be,
at the end of the day,
tears are expose,
from trying to stay strong in front of ppl,
all day long,
it just makes you want to scream,
i can't take this anymore,
i just want a perfect life,
or at least where i can enjoy it,
but my past keep haunting me,
reminding me 'what i was good for'
that just ain't me,
i'm more than some selfish jerk said before,
but i fail to believe it,
i don't know no other way to be,
my innocents was stolen,
way before i had the chance to give it away,
i just feel used, dirty, shameful,
what did i do wrong,
at the time i was just a child who obeyed,
did what i was told and never gave trouble,
and now it seems like i'm paying the price,

Our Pain

Pain is only remembered while there.
As it leaves, it's lost.
Only the body remembers the cost
and the mind remembers the prayer.
It suppliantly asked
for the pain to subside
