When The Thin Filament Ceases
Like a light bulb that dims,
Those unconscious...
Are lost within.
And disconnected...
From their senses.
Like a light bulb that dims,
When the thin filament...
Ceases to burn and slowly ends.

A Light Bulb To Light Our Dark World That I Wish Painted In Red And Black
yes, a light bulb to light our world
these dark worlds
outside and inside us
yes, a light bulb, a single light bulb
to brighten these dark worlds
inside and outside us
it is only the Great God
who can switch it on
who can switch it right.
and so, okay, okay, let there be light
from this single bulb
of my innocence
Let there be light forevermore.

I was changing a light bulb over Groucho Marx's bed, so I took my shoes off, got on his bed and changed the bulb. When I got off the bed he said: 'That's the best acting you've ever done.'

Lost and Bewildered Without Their Masters
When the false light of the self righteous dims,
Fades to go out.
Will beliefs of survivors clash?
Will those who were taught to trash themselves...
Feel orphaned,
With an emptiness?
Identities thought theirs,
Should have never been adopted!
Identities given...
Should have long been dismissed!
When the false light of the self righteous dims,
Fades to go out...
Will the pouting observed be replaced with shouts,
Of glee deserved?
Or will those disenchanted,
Find their addictions unbearable?
They have become accustomed to suppressive customs!
Entertained at their detriment!
And now lost and bewildered without their masters!
When the false light of the self righteous dims,
Fades to go out.
Will beliefs of survivors clash?
Will those who were taught to trash themselves...
Feel orphaned,
With an emptiness?
How will they fill the hollowness,
Of their existence then,
When this happens!

Christmas Light
at the darkest, deadest, depressed
nature's hour,
holiness yeasted a light,
a glimmer, slowly seen,
and then hope burned,
and knowing slowly caught.
This is Christmas, light and dark,
and natures' canvas dims,
paints the inner meaning,
born in a cave.
The first etch of Redemtion.

A glimmer slowly seen,
and then, hope burned,
in the cold cavern.

The first etch of redemption.

From Dawn to Darkness
Look to the horizon!
The light of Dawn has finally come!
Praise be to the light that saves us!
Rejoice in its warmth!
Let the light wash over you!
And cure you of all your woes!
What is this?
Our light again dims?
But where was our day?
Oh light of Dawn, why now have you forsaken us?
Have we done wrong in your eyes?
How can we again find your favor?
Again in Darkness we are…
Forsaken by our light…
We stand alone against this threat…
Our hope went away with the light…
Tomorrow will never come…
All we have is this dreaded eternal night…

And So The Table Is Set
i like the way she
puts the array of food
in utter simplicity
accented
by a single light
bulb
the one that
is not so bright
not so glaring
for
glare is the last
element
that we both
do not need
just one red rose
on a very slender
crystal clear
vase
just a bud
tight lipped
and a dew
sparkling
like a tear
on this
lonely night
just one pizza
mushroom
and mozzarella
and some
red slices
of tomatoes
and onions
the white
circular ones
like a little
universe
with the bulb
as sun
and the spices
as planets
and here we
are
holding on to
each other
like god and goddess
in the little
kingdom of our
simple affections

The killer app that got the world ready for appliances was the light bulb. So the light bulb is what wired the world. And they weren't thinking about appliances when they wired the world. They were really thinking about - they weren't putting electricity into the home. They were putting lighting into the home.

To me, lighting really sets the mood for a room. A 40 watt bulb in a cheap lamp is the same as a 40 watt bulb in an expensive one.

Discombobulated
Mostly her brain is addled,
not always but often perplexed
which leads me to think it's no wonder,
she ends up a mighty bit vexed.
It isn't as if she's not clever,
not brainy, not bright or not smart
but as soon she gets it together
the light bulb inside it goes phut!
She's often a little bit rattled
and awfully, always perturbed
whenever she's stressed or gets anxious
She screws up, it's just so absurd!

The Future is a Light
The future is a light
A moon
But there is a storm
And black clouds obstruct my view
The future is a light
A lamp
But the shade is dark
And the bulb is cracked
The future is a light
A candle
But the wind heaves
And the wick is short
The future is a light
A star
But it has shined too long
And must die soon
The future is a light
A reason
But it has disappeared
And so shall I

When the flame burns low
When the flame burns low
We must be mindful
And trust its strength
The light dims, so we can see around more clearly
The shadowy places
Where our fears and unasked questions hide
The intermediate blur of light with the darkness
Rolls up a fog of uncertainty
Is someone betting I won’t last this fight?
The quivering light yields to the dark sometimes
Only to grow back from its diminished state
Slowly resuming its steady glow
When the flame burns low
We must be mindful
And trust its strength

Winters Sun
Winters pall dims the vestiges of autumn gone,
lost the laughter and the sun, families fled
past the eyes of those past, replaced by barren sun.
Mundanity dulls the keenest edge, (re) casts
playact in imports stead, each actor caught in
winters pall, dims the vestiges of autumn gone.
In heady, early days, blushing glance was enough
to hold, then break, the rhythm of the dreary drum.
Past the eyes of those past, replaced by barren sun,
each generation caricatured, first by writers pen,
then realigned by victors gun; the awful chill of
winters pall dims the vestiges of autumn. Gone,
the comfort in a hug, entwined hands: now undone,
voices held on memories breadth, fade away into the
past. The eyes of those past, replaced by barren sun,
sightless, gaping - cast amongst the great undone, stories
raise them from the depths, before letting go into the
winters pall, dims the vestiges of autumn gone
past the eyes of those past - replaced by barren sun.

The Available Are The Notable
In a hall, lit with a bulb and a lamp,
Moths smother the brightest.
The bulb off, moths go to the lamp.
Love catches the available

The obsession
A room is lit at night with
A bulb of a thousand watts,
A bulb of a hundred watts,
A zero watts and a candle.
Let them go off one by one
In that order and still
The room will be obsessed
With the moonlight leaking in.
It cannot be with peace
Because all lights went off.

The voltage
Watts and voltage give the bulb brightness.
Intelligence and energy give man brightness.
The figure and the skin are the least factors.
With dim voltage no bulb would shine..

Changes
Now a days life
is beginning to seem lost
as i wipe my last
tear off this whithering corpse
days goes by aimlessly
as i try to abide
as tears and fears
seem to have died
friends and enemies seem
to be the same
as the spot light dims
on me searching for fame
