To me, lighting really sets the mood for a room. A 40 watt bulb in a cheap lamp is the same as a 40 watt bulb in an expensive one.

Juno Watt - Personality of the Year
Everyone’s talking about her
this last year: on their cellphones to her,
talking about her on their TV sofas,
breakfast and evening celeb shows,
at the hairdresser, in the bus queues..
‘Juno Watt? I’ve been asked to do TV…’
‘Juno Watt? I’ve got tickets to Mariah’s tour…’
‘Juno Watt? He’s proposed to me! ! ’
And the columnists are asking,
‘Will she last through to next year?
Will it be Celebrity Hopscotch for her
Or Celebrity Snakes and Ladders…?
Juno Watt.. I hear she’s dating…’
She's even been paid to endorse
the products Tiger left behind:
'Juno Watt... our balls give your golf
more drive! '
‘Knock knock..’
‘Who’s there? ’
‘Juno Watt…’
‘Not yet.. but I suppose you’re
going to tell me…’

The Available Are The Notable
In a hall, lit with a bulb and a lamp,
Moths smother the brightest.
The bulb off, moths go to the lamp.
Love catches the available

The obsession
A room is lit at night with
A bulb of a thousand watts,
A bulb of a hundred watts,
A zero watts and a candle.
Let them go off one by one
In that order and still
The room will be obsessed
With the moonlight leaking in.
It cannot be with peace
Because all lights went off.

A Night To Remember
A Night to Remember.
It is cold here in this room that has wall paper
With faded roses on, which absorb the light.
From a 40 watt bulb stuck naked and hanging
On a thin rubber encased electric wire.
Too dark to read too early for a bed that doesn’t
Look inviting, I wonder who many losers
Have been trying to find sleep looking up to
Silence and asking the same question: “how
Could it come to this? ” I sit on a chair and look
Out of the window, dark shadows move some
With haste in the hope of getting away from,
Here, but they have yet to formulate, to where?
On a ship of dreams I sail, at dawn ice crystals
Glitters on the window pane and tell of hope.

Observation
I observed you from across the room
Smiling in your supercilious way,
Demanding attention from all around you.
You had to be the centre of attraction, as usual,
Oblivious of how you demeaned other people.
Your only thought was to 'glow' like a 100 watt light bulb,
Casting everyone else into the shadows.
You are not real, really are you,
Just a 'body' honed to perfection,
A robot, reacting to signals from your brain,
To charm, to show off and pose.
Suppose it all came to an end,
And you shrivelled and disintegrated into a pool of liquid
Or a pile of ash,
A bit like a 'Toon' from 'Roger Rabbit'
Melting perhaps into the ground,
Or being blown away by the wind.
What a realization that would be,
All your glamour gone.
I studied you from across the room and I realised
You were just an 'image' that is all,
Flashed on a screen or in a graphic art print,
No substance, no, not at all,
Just a 'picture' easily scooped up and crumpled in my hand.
Somehow it made me fell superior to you,
You could no longer influence my brain, or demoralise me.
I felt I was in command of myself, once more.

The Evergreen Valentine’s Day
Gopal loved a girl in school
And around her he used to fool
But he was afraid to say
Like other boys and girls in someway.
Old days love was a crime next to murder
And for people in streets to speak it was fodder
Despite the threat of being whipped
Some stood tall declaring love.
By sending SMS Gopal committed the crime
Receiving the reply, “Sure”, his face brightened
like a thousand watt bulb
As he sent, “I like you very much”,
Glowing literally with ‘surya koti sama praba ‘, touch.

I was changing a light bulb over Groucho Marx's bed, so I took my shoes off, got on his bed and changed the bulb. When I got off the bed he said: 'That's the best acting you've ever done.'

A Light Bulb To Light Our Dark World That I Wish Painted In Red And Black
yes, a light bulb to light our world
these dark worlds
outside and inside us
yes, a light bulb, a single light bulb
to brighten these dark worlds
inside and outside us
it is only the Great God
who can switch it on
who can switch it right.
and so, okay, okay, let there be light
from this single bulb
of my innocence
Let there be light forevermore.

When The Thin Filament Ceases
Like a light bulb that dims,
Those unconscious...
Are lost within.
And disconnected...
From their senses.
Like a light bulb that dims,
When the thin filament...
Ceases to burn and slowly ends.

The killer app that got the world ready for appliances was the light bulb. So the light bulb is what wired the world. And they weren't thinking about appliances when they wired the world. They were really thinking about - they weren't putting electricity into the home. They were putting lighting into the home.

The voltage
Watts and voltage give the bulb brightness.
Intelligence and energy give man brightness.
The figure and the skin are the least factors.
With dim voltage no bulb would shine..

And So The Table Is Set
i like the way she
puts the array of food
in utter simplicity
accented
by a single light
bulb
the one that
is not so bright
not so glaring
for
glare is the last
element
that we both
do not need
just one red rose
on a very slender
crystal clear
vase
just a bud
tight lipped
and a dew
sparkling
like a tear
on this
lonely night
just one pizza
mushroom
and mozzarella
and some
red slices
of tomatoes
and onions
the white
circular ones
like a little
universe
with the bulb
as sun
and the spices
as planets
and here we
are
holding on to
each other
like god and goddess
in the little
kingdom of our
simple affections

Split the Lark—and you'll find the Music
861
Split the Lark—and you'll find the Music—
Bulb after Bulb, in Silver rolled—
Scantilly dealt to the Summer Morning
Saved for your Ear when Lutes be old.
Loose the Flood—you shall find it patent—
Gush after Gush, reserved for you—
Scarlet Experiment! Sceptic Thomas!
Now, do you doubt that your Bird was true?

I have a little name. That's why people can remember it.
Life is definitely not a rehearsal, this is it.
Do not put your faith in what statistics say until you have carefully considered what they do not say.

Punk is not really a style of music. It was more like a state of mind.
The only thing new is you finding out about something. Like nothing's really new, but you reinvent it for yourself and find your inner voice.
