Well I don't want no jesus freak to tell me what it's all about
No black magician telling me to cut my soul out
Don't believe in violence, I don't even believe in your peace
I've opened the door now; my mind has been released
Well I don't want no preacher telling me about the god in the sky

I wanna live my life; I don't want people telling me what to do

Perfect Peace

I ponder deeply in my mind
For thoughts of peace and how to find
It only comes from deep within
You cannot fake it or pretend
Real peace comes when your mind is at rest
Knowing through life you've given your best
Believing in a greater power than we
Holding no grudges, being totally free
Having no ill will against neighbor or kin
Knowing the peace maker is living within
Giving of self to help others in need

A Mind Rich In Innocence

Truth, The Real God
Not that we have made
Does not want a facade
Of the limited and narrow world that we parade

Feeling 'Whole' I Do!

To live is to learn and to grow...up!
Here I am at 62 and I tell you this...
My best 'teachers' I disagreed with.
Yes, I did.
Only to realize...
Now I value their assessments,
Of the 'me' I denied existed.

To be 'now' more of that 'me'
They saw I did not see before.
And I am so glad I found myself.
With a patience to put ignored pieces together.

Feeling 'whole' I do.
With self examinations through,
And completed with no tests to tease.
Seeing is believing to testify what is true!

And 'free' with a peace of mind I am.
I can release to leave doubts behind.
Feeling 'whole' I do.
And the experience of it...
I wish others could achieve,
To release themselves from turmoil.
And inner conflict stubbornly held...
With perceptions gone unaddressed.
To face them as they are is best.
This clears the mind of mental stresssss,
Yessss!

And as difficult as a quiz can get...
It is with acceptance,
Challenges can be met with success.
With a removal of those obstacles.
That seem so plentiful,
On paths we walk alone.
Condoning with an acceptance done.
Without confronting them one by one!

If one confesses and leave behind...
The useless time spent in regret!
And turning those obstacles,
Into worthless pebbles to forget!

Oh,

Hopscotch

It takes a lot to hopscotch over the line,
When it is done.
It takes a lot to get a push and open a mind,
To let things done be overcomed.

Some people hold onto their grief...
And never overcome.
Some people have their beliefs...

And I've been trying to keep that protected.
From your accepted normalcy...
That has the majority of you,

Safe and masqueraded.

there's a place that i know where the sycamores grow
and daffodils have their fun
where the cares of the day seems to slowly fade away
and the glow of the evening sun
peace when the day is done
if i go there real late, let my mind meditate on everything to be done

Receiving This to Give As Given Is a Blessing

The less space one has,
With less things to clutter it...
To consume the mind in denial,
Leaves one with more life to live.

And in 'that' acceptance of a nothingness,
Others may perceive as an unbearable sacrifice...
One has 'everything' to experience and share.

Since those with points of view of materialsm,
Aren't there to busy a mind in peace.
To diminish happiness with expensive needs,
To qualify teased 'wants' delusioned.

Life then becomes such an abundant experience.

Instantly Free Me From Feelings of Guilt

So personal I take my own pain.
Physical, mental.
Whatever the process...
There is nothing like doing it,
In the comfort of one's own home.

I forget sometimes,
I am suppose to dismiss it...
Whenever I am approached,
To give someone my undivided attention.
With their immediate imposition on my time,
Taken.
And unconsciously...
I quickly open my door,
As if to welcome the entire Universe for tea!

'I'm sorry to disturb you.
Is this a bad time? '

Oh? Uh...uh...

I forget sometimes,
My needs are less important...
For someone expecting me,
To dropp my priorities and focus my attention...
On their needs.
Or whatever it is they wish to share,
Immediately!

Uh...oh...No!
I was just enjoying minding my own business.
Sitting in my own space.
And hoping to have this moment...
Alone.
Drinking tea and enjoying music I love.
What on Earth was I thinking?
Company!
That's what's missing.
Company!
Come on in.

And after they have finished,
Squeezing every emotion out of me...
It seems.
I forget sometimes,
I am being tested.
I forget sometimes,
Even in my solitude...
Where the peace I love is graced,
There will be someone who believes...
Any pain I face to attempt to erase,
Needs more of their presence in my face.
With the dumping of their agonies.

So with the taking of slow deep breaths,
I sit.
Doing my best to reflect patience.
And hoping there is no notice given,
To an enforced hospitality.

'Thank you, my brother.
You have no idea how much your listening ear,
Has left me with so much peace.

I leave you now,
With the wish that God blesses you.
'Cause you know HE is good?
AND 'all' the time.

All you have to do is remember that!
You are 'never' alone.
Remember that in your prayers.
You don't have to sit mopping around.
As if you are friendless.
God is there for you.
Just remember that.

I feel less burdened.

In My Mind

'in my mind' i have climbed the highest mountain
i have swam the deepest sea.
i have done everything for you to get close to me.

in my mind
there is peace throughout the world
joy in the hearts of every boy and girl.
famine no longer exists
people living in total bliss.

people at work and at play
enjoying the beauties of the day.
people greeting each other in a friendly manner
raising a schools loving banner.

people stopping to help one another
and calling each other sister and brother.
weapons of destruction are in the past
peace and love 'is what lasts.'

a bartering system has started again
money is no longer a friend.
all the good things in our minds
will last throughout all of time.

all our feelings, all our desires
will explode in a frenzied fire.
they will spread throughout all lands
to make people understand
that love and peace is our goal
and a dream that we should hold.
