Only Three Days Away
Is it the quietness of midnight,
That people find it appropriate...
To honk a car horn to shock and disturb,
With a shouting to a closed window...
Of someone living just a few steps away.
To then have a loud conversation,
As to where they should meet for lunch...
When the weekend comes?
Is it the quietness of midnight,
That people find this appropriate to do?
Or should I ignore what is going on,
To get up to have a snack of popcorn?
And forget about sleeping.
With a making of my own plans,
For a weekend anticipated with such enthusiasm...
Only three days away.

One More Weekend
Slippin and slidin like a weasel on the run,
Im lookin good to see you, yeah, and we can have some fun.
One more weekend, one more weekend with you,
One more weekend, one more weekendll do.
Come on down to my ship, honey, ride on deck,
Well fly over the ocean just like you suspect.
One more weekend, one more weekend with you.
One more weekend, one more weekendll do.
Well fly the night away,
Hang out the whole next day,
Things will be okay,
You wait and see.
Well go someplace unknown,
Leave all the children home,
Honey, why not go alone
Just you and me.
Comin and goin like a rabbit in the wood,
Im happy just to see you, yeah, lookin so good.
One more weekend, one more weekend with you,
One more weekend, one more weekendll do (yes, you will!).
Like a needle in a haystack, Im gonna find you yet,
Youre the sweetest gone mama that this boys ever gonna get.
One more weekend, one more weekend with you,
One more weekend, one more weekendll do.

Seven Day Weekend
See the girl in the cabriolet
Im gonna make her mine someday
The traffic stops and she steps out
Every man starts to scream and shout
Theres a space in the week
Its a date I can keep, oh yeah
Seven day, seven day, seven day
Its a seven day weekend
Seven day, seven day, seven day
Its a seven day weekend
See the girl in the pale peach dress
Shes got a body build to caress
Like a one-eyed cat
Outside a seafood store
Shes got me begging
Ive been saving and saving
And saving my money
To spend it on her
* seven day, seven day, seven day
Its a seven day weekend
Seven day (seven day)
Seven day (seven day) seven day
Its a seven day weekend
Seven day (seven day)
Seven day (seven day) seven day
Its a seven day weekend
(* repeat)
Seven day (saturday)
Seven day (every day) seven day
Its a seven day weekend
Seven day (seven day)

Sunday Morning
Sunday morning
Cries of hipocritic
Pastors awaken me
They disturb my sleep,
I can't get the weekend rest
With these Churches
All over the streets.
Practice as you preach
You can't fool me,
Tell that to the fools
Who come to listen to
fools like you.
Salvation is in Christ
I know where to find him
He lives right in my heart.
And my uprightness keeps
him there.
Religion is love,
Love for humanity,
And for God our maker,
Practice it in your heart,
Not in your mouth,
And don't disturb my quietness,
It is my religion.

Weekend
Friday night and everythings right on the weekend
Crazy clothes and anything goes on the weekend
John called in and jim got sue
I made a date with a little ol jew
Off he went to make a date on the weekend
No harm done, just having some fun on the weekend
Cartop down, just a ridin around on the weekend
Took a ride to lookout hill
The view up there was sure a thrill
That was all, we had a big fall on the weekend
There we were just sitting cool and cozy
I just had time to steal a little kiss
A police with a flashlight tried to nose in
He said, holy mackerel there, what is all this?
No harm done just having some fun on the weekend
Took a chance on crashin a dance on the weekend
We were almost inside the place
Then some boy slammed the door in my face
Hey you guys, you gotta wear ties on the weekend
Crazy clothes and anything goes on the weekend
That was all we had a big ball on the weekend

Weekend Love
[Queen Latifah]
Weekend love
Gonna spend a weekend love
Weekend love
Just a case of weekend love
[Queen Latifah]
Have you been misled
Anything I said
Didn't mean to turn you on
The bite is oh so strong
You got things to do
But I have got things too
So I'll catch you on the weekend
Mondays to Fridays I don't see you then
[Unknown Reggae Artist]
A W-E-E-K and a E-N-D
And a L-O-V-E we were meant to be
A W-E-E-K, a E-N-D
L-O-V-E we were meant to be
[Queen Latifah]
Weekend love
Gonna spend a weekend love
Weekend love
Just a case of weekend love
[Queen Latifah]
Seems it's been so long
Since you thrilled me with your charms
I tenderly imagine me
Resting in your arms
You've got things to do
And I have got things too
So I'll catch you on the weekend
Mondays to Fridays, I don't see you then
[Unknown Reggae Artist]
Because we're sorry when we part
And we love when we meet
I know we only do that ?
Once in a week
Sorry when we part
And we love when we meet
I know we only do that ?
Once in a week
[Unknown Reggae Artist]
I know, you know
We all occupied
From our own love life
This has been denied
Many feelins high
Many tears of pride
But by the weekend
Let my spirit devide
[Queen Latifah]
Weekend love
Gonna spend a weekend love (maybe someday we'll change)
Weekend love
Just a case of weekend love
[Queen Latifah]
If you've been misled
By anything I've said
Didn't mean to turn you on
The bite was oh so strong
You've got things to do
But I have got things too
So I'll catch you on the weekend
Mondays to Fridays I don't see you then

??????????
To nourish and cherish every moment
To deliver the goods I am ???
And I know you're posessed with the ingredients
Till the weekend the days seems to be long
But by the weekend I wish I could reverse its time
Good things can come in a small bag
So let's make use of the time that we have
When we are together cos we stay popular
???????????
When we are together you and I wonder
If this love is gonna last forever
Well then I think and I start remember
That we are a ? star

After Midnight
By j. j. cale
After midnight, were gonna let it all hang down.
After midnight, were gonna chug-a-lug and shout.
Were gonna stimulate some action;
Were gonna get some satisfaction.
Were gonna find out what it is all about.
After midnight, were gonna let it all hang down.
After midnight, were gonna shake your tambourine.
After midnight, its all gonna be peaches and cream.
Were gonna cause talk and suspicion;
Were gonna give an exhibition.
Were gonna find out what it is all about.
After midnight, were gonna let it all hang down.
After midnight, were gonna let it all hang down.
Second verse
After midnight, were gonna let it all hang down.
After midnight, were gonna let it all hang down.
After midnight, were gonna let it all hang down.
After midnight, were gonna let it all hang down.

The frost of the highest peak.
Always been here
In fact
With you
Entwining my name
Forever
With your many names
In the frost of the highest peak.
Unlocking all doors.
When I leave the evil forever
And I say ''Nevermore and never again''
Quietness comes and quietness passes off
It is hang in the air
Both in its own sense and in the opposite
Words around it
Like holes and stars.
Very much like a destiny and an undestiny song
When its sound is moved by the quietness
Into quietness
As a cry is moved by the wind
Into its eco
Forever
When hope.

Gimme Gimme Gimme
Half past twelve
And I'm watching the late show in my flat all alone
How I hate to spend the evening on my own
Autumn winds
Blowing outside my window as I look around the room
And it makes me so depressed to see the gloom
There's not a soul out there
No one to hear my prayer
Gimme gimme gimme a man after midnight
Won't somebody help me chase the shadows away
Gimme gimme gimme a man after midnight
Take me through the darkness to the break of the day
Movie stars
Find the end of the rainbow, with a fortune to win
It's so different from the world I'm living in
Tired of T.V.
I open the window and I gaze into the night
But there's nothing there to see, no one in sight
There's not a soul out there
No one to hear my prayer
Gimme gimme gimme a man after midnight
Won't somebody help me chase the shadows away
Gimme gimme gimme a man after midnight
Take me through the darkness to the break of the day
Gimme gimme gimme a man after midnight...
Gimme gimme gimme a man after midnight...
There's not a soul out there
No one to hear my prayer
Gimme gimme gimme a man after midnight
Won't somebody help me chase the shadows away
Gimme gimme gimme a man after midnight
Take me through the darkness to the break of the day
Gimme gimme gimme a man after midnight
Won't somebody help me chase the shadows away

Take me through the darkness to the break of the day

Here Comes The Weekend
Somewhere in the night
Theres a heart that beats so fast
I can feel the heat
Of the fire in your eyes
Burning like a naked flame
Waiting for the ice to break
Counting down the days
Waiting for the weekend
Lonely is the night
Silence is a friend to wake with
With no one else to talk to
But on a friday night
Its alright, its alright
You can be who you want to be
Take off for the weekend
If you can dance you can dance with me
cos its friday night
Its alright, its alright
Nothings gonna stop me now
Im all wired up and ready to go
Im on my way
Lets get on with the show
Here comes the weekend
Here comes the weekend
Somewhere in the heat
Theres a heart that beats so fast
I can hear your voice
Talk to me tonight
Taking a different face
Every time I hear your name
Im counting down the days
Waiting for the weekend
Lonely is the night
When all are sleeping
Silence is a friend you walk with
With no one else to talk to
But on a friday night
Its alright, its alright
You can be who you want to be
Take of for the weekend
If you dance you can dance with me
cos its friday night
Its alright, its alright
Nothings gonna stop me now
Im all wired up and ready to go
And Im on my way
Its the weekend
And its starting today
Here comes the weekend
Here comes the weekend

Round Midnight (feat. Andy Summers)
It begins to tell
Round midnight, round midnight
I do pretty well
'Til after sundown
Supper time, I'm feelin' sad
But it really gets bad
Round midnight
Mem'ries always start
Round midnight, round midnight
Haven't got the heart
To stand those memories
When my heart is still with you
And old midnight
Knows it too.
When some quarrel we've had needs mending
Does that mean that our love is ending?
Darling, I need you
Lately I find
You're out of my arms
And I'm out of my mind.
Let our hearts take wing
Round midnight, round midnight
Let the angels sing
For your returning
Let our love be safe and sound
'Til old midnight
Comes around

Weekend Warrior
The rebel of yesterday tomorrows fool
Who are you kidding being that cool?
Trying to break away from runnung with the pack
But they aint listening so youve gotta go back
Youre a wekkend warrior when youre one of the crowd
But its over, just look at you now...
Youre not so brave the way you behave
It makes you sick gotta get out quick
Its all bravado when youre out with your mates
Its like a different perso goes through those gates
As the game begins the adrenalins high
Feel the tension, maybe someone will die...
A weekend warrior lately
A weekend warrior sometimes
A weekend warrior maybe you aint that way anymore
Youve gotta get out gotta get away
But youre in with a clique its not easy to stray
Youve gotta admit youre just living a lie
It didnt take long to work out why
Its hard to say why you got involved
Just wanting to be part, just wanting to belong...
A weekend warrior lately
A weekend warrior sometimes
A weekend warrior maybe you aint that way anymore
Some of the things that youve done you feel so ashamed
After all its only a game... isnt it?
And after all the adrenalins gone
What you gonna do on monday?
A weekend warrior lately
A weekend warrior sometimes
A weekend warrior maybe you were never like that at all

Soothing graves
one thing about grave
about the cemetery that i like
they are all so real, real as death
and the people who come visiting
they come with their real self
laugh, smile or tears they are
all so reall, for there is no more need
to fake one's feeling, put on a face
everything is now known to the dead
or remains forever unknown
there is a quietness in the grave
and the cemetery that i like
it is the ingratiating quietness
that is so soothing to the soul
the calm acceptance of life
that to die is also a part of living

Midnight Star
I was waiting in the express lane with my twelve items or less
At the checkout counter at the local grocery store
I was only passin by
But a paper caught my eye
And I learend a few things I mever knew before
It said your pet may be an extra terrestrial
It said the ghost of elvis is living in my den
You can learn to cope with stress
You can beat the irs
And the incredible frog boy is on the loose again
Oh, mignight star
Its in the weekly midnight star
Aliens from outer space are sleeping in my car
Midnight star, I wanna know, I wanna know
Eat jelly donuts and lose twenty pounds a day
Hear the story of the man born without a head
And top psychics all agree
That the telephone company
Will have a brand new service that lets you talk to the dead
Oh, midnight star
You can believe it if you read it in the weekly mignight star
Theyre keeping hitlers brain alive inside a jar
Midnight star, I wanna know, I wanna know
Tell me, tell me, tell me how to make my bust-line grow
Midnight star, I wanna know
Oh, midnight star
Well, dont you know that I read it, I read it in the weekly midnight star
The ufos have landed and well tell you where they are
Midnight star, I wanna know, I wanna know
Midnight star
Well, you can read all about in in the weekly midnight star
You can use you esp to learn to play guitar
Midnight star I wanna know, I wanna know
(ah, midnight star) I wanna know, I wanna know
(ah, midnight star) I wanna know, I wanna know
(ah, midnight star) I wanna know, I wanna know
(ah, midnight star) inquiring minds like mine wanna know
(you can read it {x5}, midnight star {x2}) (ah, midnight star) I wanna know, I wanna know

Silent Weekend
by Bob Dylan
Silent weekend,
My baby she gave it to me
Silent weekend,
My baby she gave it to me.
She's actin' tough and hardy
She says it ain't my party
And she's leavin' me in misery.
Silent weekend,
My baby she took me by surprise.
Silent weekend,
My baby she took me by surprise.
She's rockin' and a-reelin'
Head up to ceiling
An' swinging with some other guys.
Silent weekend,
Oh Lord, I wish Monday would come.
Silent weekend,
Oh Lord, I sure wish Monday would come.
She's uppity, she's rollin',
She's in the groove, she's strolling
Over to the jukebox playin' deaf and dumb.
Well, I done a whole lotta thinkin' 'bout a whole lot of cheatin',
And I, maybe I did some just to please.
But I just walloped a lotta pizza after makin' our peace,
Puts ya down on bended knees.
Silent weekend,
Man alive, I'm burnin' up on my brain.
Silent weekend,
Man alive, I'm burnin' up on my brain.
She knows when I'm just teasin'
But it's not likely in the season
To open up a passenger train.

Midnight Dream
I'm sittin' on a mountain
Searchin' for an answer
Hopin' there's a chance
That she'll be comin' back to me
Midnight dream
I'm waitin' on the mountain
Thinkin' I can find her
Maybe if I find her,
Here is where she'll want to be
Midnight dream
I made my way down to Mexico
I spend a year travelin' 'cross the ocean
Without goin' anywhere
A hundred miles to the nearest phone
A thousand miles from a place called home
And all alone in my despair
I'd call you there
My midnight dream
So I'm sittin' on a mountain
Lookin' 'cross a river
Needin' to be with her
More than I believed I'd be
Midnight dream
I'm sittin' all alone now
Knowin' what I know now
Thought I'd be a teacher
But she would end up teachin' me
Midnight dream
I know that I lost my way one night
But if you ask me
It don't seem right
To spend my life without you there
And so I climbed to the highest peak
Just hopin' somehow that I what I seek
Will somehow speak and you'll appear
My midnight dream
Where are you, don't let go
So I'm sittin' on a mountain
How can I explain it
I'm livin' with the pain of thinkin' how it
Still could be
Midnight dream
Love is what I'm thinkin'
No two ways about it
Go too long without it,
Nothing really means a thing
Midnight dream
But if you haven't decided yet
Might be the only chance we get
Let's don't forget 'bout you and me
I finally ended where I began
You see before you
The sorry soul, the lonely man
I've come to be
Please come to me
My midnight dream
Oh come to me
My midnight dream

Why I Prefer To Live Alone
Give me a moment.
I want to find a specific way,
To tell you this.
Okay...
The reason why I prefer to live alone,
Is the company I sometimes can not avoid to keep.
Some people have a legitimate feeling,
That is sincerely felt as it is meant.
Some people need another presence,
To keep control of a conversation focused on themselves.
I have been in contact with these kinds of people,
On many occasion.
With a wish to exit as quick as possible.
And I was able to do that,
Because i was not in my own home.
Some people are just into themselves subconsiously.
With a unending 'Not-a-breath-to-take-zeal'
That creates an atmosphere squeezing the freshness,
Out of a peace that reduces a hospitality one ceases.
And...
This might be mistaken for boredom!
And i like to maintain a cordial presence one feels.
However,
Making no mistake of it at all...
I find sometimes your presence,
Leaves me with a headache.
And sometimes I can take it.
But on days like these that I want my peace.
You disturb that willingness I had to share it!
Give me a moment.
I want to find a specific way,
To tell you this.
I like to keep a flow of communication,
That is invitational.
You on the other hand,
Seek an audience to deliver devoted attention.
That kind of activity,
Wears me out.
Today...
I am feeling,
Less the member of an audience.
And more like...
I would love to see a performance,
Come to a close.
Like...
I want my door closed.
So I can be left alone to take a nap.
You understand that...
Don't you?
That's why I prefer to live alone.
And...
I am yearning my preference for that now!
But...
You are welcome to stay as long as you wish,
Under those conditions...
Knowing I have a great love,
Right now...
For solitude!

Midnight Sun
They say you know your way around
They say you are a man of the world
You say she is a new kid in town
You think shes just another girl
You get suspicious that something is wrong
No explanation why it lasts so long
And by the look on your face, everybody knows
You cant deny that you feel exposed
You can feel the heat when the night is gone
You been burnt by the midnight sun
When you look for relief but you cant find none
You been burnt by the midnight sun
Like a train running down the track
Its too late, things are out of control
Theres no way she can take you back
Theres no release for the brand on your soul
You never noticed the touch of her hand
You messed around with things
You dont understand
Now you sit in darkness while a new day dies
Her face is shining when you close your eyes
When you feel the heat when the light is gone
You been burnt by the midnight sun
When you look for relief but you cant find none
You been burnt by the midnight sun
I know the feeling, you wish youd been warned
Now you and I are brothers in arms
cause I know the pain cause I know her kind
One left a feeling burning in my mind
And you feel the heat when the night is gone
I been burnt by the midnight sun
And I look for relief but I cant find none
I been burnt by the midnight sun
I can feel the heat when the light is gone
I been burnt by the midnight sun
And I look for relief but I cant find none
I been burnt by the midnight sun

I Don't Know
Monday morning is not Monday morning 'till Taylor has his coffee
Friday night is not Friday night 'till Jessie leaves the room sweaty
Tuesday morning is not Tuesday morning 'till Nick has his talk with his son
Thursday night is not Thursday night 'till Chris has sex with his bass
Come on to the Weekend
'Cause the Weekend I'll get by
Hold off 'till the Weekend
'Cause there's too much time bein' merrily nice guys
Tuesday morning is Wednesday afternoon when you cry all night
Wednesday early we fall into what I'll Phil-a-del-ph-i-a
Thursday morning is not Thursday morning 'till one of us says
How's your life
How's your life?
Yeah how's your life
How's your life?
Come on to the weekend
'Cause the weekend I'll get by
Hold off 'till the weekend
'Cause there's too much time to think and not much time to cry
Hold off 'till the weekend
'Cause the weekend we'll be high
Hold off 'till the weekend
'Cause we may look tired, but we'll get by
What if there were no more mama's boys
What if no one shared their humble appearance
What there were no consequences
What if there were no more arguments
Well that'd be a shame
And that'd be impossible
And you would be bored
'Cause you wouldn't want it any other way
Hold on 'till the weekend
'Cause the weekend I'll get by
Hold off 'till the weekend
'Cause we may look scared, but we're really nice guys
Hold off 'till the weekend
'Cause the weekend I'll get high
Hold off 'till the weekend
'Cause we may look strange but we surely will get by
What if there were no more mama's boys
What if we all had no thinking together
Would that be a shame...
And that'd be impossible
'Cause you would be bored
'Cause you wouldn't want it any other way
