Some regard it as a burden
Some regard it as a formality

Consistent Excellence
Go...
Ask anyone of your neighbors,
How difficult it is...
To produce consistent excellence.
With a doing done you do,
To ensure your life...
Is lived to make sense.
With the best from yourself,
To show those your excellence...
Is not some luck that has been sent.
Your excellence is what is meant.
Go...
Ask anyone of your neighbors,
And when you are done...
Ask your friends and family too,
If consistent excellence with a bit of sweat...
Is something done you know they do,
For themselves.
And nothing from them to you to prove.

The Eternal Twins: Love And Hate
It consumes without regard
It shape without regard
It bends you to its will
We are helpless in its power
We look for it but it finds us
It devours without regard
It destroys without regard
It brought nations to its knees
And lifted its people
It gives power without regard
It enslaves without regard
We are but pebbles in its wake
When it overflows in us
And yet.... Its ugly twin holds
Power over it
It consumes without regard
It shapes without regard
It bends you to its will
We are helpless in its power....

Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but we rather have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.
my friends at PH
we must be hope
and excellence
we are both
compassion
and valor
easily we can get badness
in quantity
the road is wide and smooth
and popular
lying close by
in our houses
in front of excellence
the gods have put
sweat, and a long
and narrow road
steep and
obstructed
we shall be the yardsticks
of quality
we now get used
to this environment where
excellence and
refinement are at
most expected.

Regardless
It doesn't matter...
How you regard me.
Where you regard me
If you regard me.
Or why or even when,
I am regarded by you at all.
If neither one of us are sharing...
To acknowledge it!
Whenever I am home,
And feeling alone.
That is done...
When and if those moments arrive,
Regardless!
And...
Until those moods decided to leave...
There I am,
In total disregard.

If you are going to achieve excellence in big things, you develop the habit in little matters. Excellence is not an exception, it is a prevailing attitude.

Those who attain any excellence, commonly spend life in one pursuit; for excellence is not often gained upon easier terms.

Aim at perfection, be satisfied with excellence
Aim at perfection
But be satisfied with excellence
As absolute perfection is
Unattainable
We say in science
Absolute zero is unattainable
Perfection means zero defects
In the product or outcome
And it means zero deviation
In the process and systems employed
While excellence in performance is
Being ahead of most of others
With regard to process and
Quality of the product
And this is achievable
It is well known and established that
Imperfection and randomness
Are the essence of survival
And the nature has all its biodiversity
Because of imperfection and
Deviation from the norms
Insistence on perfection
May lead to failures
And likely win you more foes than friends
You may even leave a scar in the hearts of
Your own people and friends
If you zero in on perfection only
The fact remains
There is no perfected art
There is no perfected process
There is no perfected write
All await your touch
And improvement therefrom
You do not compromise either
As you will be struggling to
Excel all others
Target at the best
Arrive at the best possible

Ch 08 On Rules For Conduct In Life - Story 02
A great man having been asked why he wore his seal-ring on his left hand, whereas the right possesses so much excellence, replied: ‘Knowest thou not that the meritorious are always neglected?’
He who has created joy and distress
Apportions either excellence or luck.
To fight and conquer in all our battles is not supreme excellence; supreme excellence consists in breaking the enemy's resistance without fighting.

The secret of living a life of excellence is merely a matter of thinking thoughts of excellence. Really, it's a matter of programming our minds with the kind of information that will set us free.

I regard consciousness as fundamental. I regard matter as derivative from consciousness. We cannot get behind consciousness. Everything that we talk about, everything that we regard as existing,
postulates consciousness.

I mentioned the non-competitive spirit explicitly, because these days, excellence is a fashionable concept. But excellence is a competitive notion, and that is not what we are heading for: we are heading for perfection.

Dieu! Qu'il La Fait
FROM CHARLES D'ORLEANS
God! that mad'st her well regard her,
How she is so fair and bonny;
For the great charms that are upon her
Ready are all folks to reward her.
Who could part him from her borders
When spells are alway renewed on her?
God! that mad'st her well regard her,
How she is so fair and bonny.
From here to there to the sea's border,
Dame nor damsel there's not any
Hath of perfect charms so many.
Thoughts of her are of dream's order:
God! that mad'st her well regard her.
