Why can't you ever answer my questions directly?

'I'm trying to!
Do you want a response you want to hear.
Or the one I wish to give? '

Either way I wouldn't know.

'Than why ask the question?
Don't accuse me of not being direct,
If you don't know what you want.'

Why you gotta use logic?

'As if you know the difference! '

Why do you want to insult me!

'Now you are making requests.
Like I said...
You don't know what you want! '

Enjoy Your Day

You approached me to ask a question.
And taking my time to listen...
With a response I had hoped,
You would comprehend.
Not only did you not do that.
But you edited my answer...
To 'insert' what you thought,
For you did not offend.

Now you accuse me of not being direct.
You say my answer,
For you is not effective.
You inject words connected to my response,
To something you rather accept.
And I hear your attempts,
To try to comvince others...
What it is I really meant!

'Why are you leaving? '

You asked me a question.
I answered it.
Now I take my exit.
To that do you also object?

'But I think your response,
Should be open to debate.'

First of all...
You approached me.
And the time given...
I did not hesitate.
You wanted to hear something you formulate.
Something in your mind you hoped I would find.
And I'm not wasting any more of my time...
To play a game of ping pong,
With someone who has yet to learn...
The reason or the effective use of the paddle.

And besides,
If I did decide to play...
It would be with someone,
Who had something meaningful to say.
And all you wish to do is to occupy space,
In the hopes someone will come forward...
To assist you in the use of it!

'Don't you think your point of view is a bit arrogant? '

That depends!
Is that your second question?
Or should I be seeking your permission to leave?
And neither question,
Do I seek from you an answer.
But I will give you the benefit...
To decide for yourself,
Which one eventually applies!
How is that?
Enjoy your day.

'You will not be asked back here again! '

Did not end

The very motive
Of our conversation
We came to the conclusion
How to pass time?
Was the biggest question

The question now is

What I Want For You to Do

I am asked to do 'this'.
With a request to do 'that'.
I am even asked to rate a significance...
Upon completing those tasks that I'm asked.
To accomplish every one I get!
Folks could care less when they make requests.

And I can perceive how some are caught up in it!
Believing that an attention given...
Will keep me interested and content!
As if what I do is not a sacrifice.
But comes from a natural 'oozing' done...
From some 'other' source,
That's an outside device.

'And...hmmm,
That could be a possibility.
Now that 'that' has now occurred to me.'

I sometimes will read those requests I get.
But no one has yet to answer my questions...
'What's in it for me?
What do I get?
What do I receive as my benefit? '

Love?

And don't say you'll do for me,
What you've requested me to do!

And yet have I had a delivery,
Of freshly minted one hundred dollar bills.
To pop out of a box over stocked.
Not once!

Besides...
I am more original than that!
I want returned to me...
The time taken away from what I love.
Since it took me quite some time,
To find myself quite in love with it!

And not a response do I get!
Except the usual...
'But you're already doing,
What I want for you to do for me too! '

EXCUSE ME?

And those requests,
Get my silence at its best!
Since I recognize...
There is no shortage or famine,
Of this kind of selfish greed.
From Sunset to Sunrise!

It is as 'if' my eyes are 'theirs'...
And will supply them vision.
With a clarity I can provide.
And if that's the case...
Someone should get me 'booked'
On Oprah!

How long has it been?
Since you left me
Our friends ask the question
All of the time
I tried to measure it
In years, months, and days
Even hours, minutes and seconds
But I lost track along the way
The hurt still lingers
The question, unanswered
And I’m getting to the point
Where I don’t care anymore
I used to look out the window

Do What You've Gotta (8 Years Ago)

Do what you've gotta
Cause you've just gotta do what you've gotta do in life.
Cause I'll do what I've gotta do
I don't give a damn what you've gotta do
but I will say I'm so... you know... sick of you!
I used to say I loved your eyes,
your smile and your laugh, but I lied!
now we can take seperate paths
cause we're more than through
your not even my mate
so leave my life so I can, ... concentrate!
on what I've gotta do, where I've gotta go
if some guy sleeps with you, your not mine, no!
cause our love sparkled for a long time
but we lost the sparkle we lost the shine
but looking back I wouldn't turn back the time
cause we were like the sky without the blue
I'll forget you, try something new, just continue
cause we're given the choice do what we whatta
we will leave each other, do what we gotta.

I'm just forgetting everything else in life
and just doing what I've gotta do.
Just doing what I've gotta do.

This was one of the first ever things I wrote
it just made me laugh but forget the forced rimes
and forget some of the silly slang
I said gotta and whatta on the last lines!
But it doesn't matter cause they are long gone times
but one thing has come from it which is not bad
cause sometimes you've 'gotta' go back
you've 'gotta' go back to find the fire you once had.

Life Gets Me To Wonder

(10/01/11)

Life gets me to wonder, life gets me to think
Am I losing my mind, am I on the brink.
So many questions that enter my mind every day
I think hard about one, and the rest seem to fade away.

Once I find the answer then to the next level I will go
It’s amazing - how god lets us know.
Every question and every answer is a step
That we must climb - and we’ll continue to do this
Till the end of our time.

We will always have questions - that’s why
God gave us a mind.
Knowledge is power on that I don’t deny.

But there are more questions than any of us care to admit
And when we can’t answer them - we surely catch a fit.
Questions about health, love, work, religion
Just to name a few - this list goes on
What are we supposed to do.?
