A Backlash Of Misunderstandings
We want to...
Control one's breath,
And each step they make.
We want to...
Have others say what we wish,
And dismiss them quick.
Caring less about them.
Or if they experience heartbreak.
We want to...
Prove to the Earth's inhabitants,
Our way of life and thought process...
Is throughout the Universe,
The very best.
We want to impress with this message,
That reflects...
Who it is we are,
As we thump upon our chests.
But,
Nowhere can we defend and keep protecting...
These delusions.
There seems to be assaults coming to us,
From every place we wish to share our good graces.
And all that we face...
Is a backlash of misunderstandings,
Of our extraordinary principles.

Dust Mites
Microscopic are lives lived like dust mites,
And inhabitants of a world that spins...
As well as speeds through an expansive eternity.
All are fixed to myths and worship beliefs...
To control what is 'thought' to be their destinies.
There is neither top nor bottom in this universe.
Although those living on Earth,
Have declared North and South Hemispheres.
With wind storms churning,
Counter-clockwise in the Northern one.
And clockwise in the Southern.
It is obvious no human has the power,
To control any of this.
Nor how this may relate to the Sun.
And yet conflicts exist,
To prove who has what to benefit 'whom'?

Let Us Magnify a Glorious Destiny
'Your peace is not in my vision.
Nor are your discomforts,
In my grasp to hold.
Or become burdened with despair...
You have been taught were yours to behold,
To share.
My radar is in my control!
I see no gain,
In maintaining your shame to claim...
For barter!
My desires may not spark your flame.
But yearnings to burn down barriers...
We might together do,
If together we remain bold!
And step farther beyond restrictions.
To undo what we've been told!
In a patient stagnation.
Let us magnify a glorious destiny...
That you and I can both touch,
And together see.'
Just believe,
You live the life you wish.
And dismiss those obstacles,
Coming to nest upon your path.
Take those dreams,
And make them seem to breathe.
Inhale and receive.
Exhale discomforts.
Make them leave.
Know what you want can and will exist.
Know in your heart what you desire...
Has already been owned.
It has been claimed to be shown.
It is yours to make known.
Just believe,
You live the life you wish.
And dismiss those obstacles that come to sit!
Take those dreams,
And make them seem to breathe.
Yesterday can not be relived.
It is no longer yours to give attention.
Today is what you have earned to live for!
Just believe,
You live the life you wish.
And menacing you will be...
To any appearance of unhappiness.
'Your peace is not in my vision.
Nor are your discomforts,

Or become burdened with despair...

Can be freed of displeasures.

And do not leave it out of sight!

Here to Disperse
And the last conflict comes.
With the winning of it...
Not done by Earth inhabitants.
But by beings around the universe.
Here to disperse...
Misunderstandings of 'who' commands.
To stun the barbarians.
And bridge with a healing.
That spreads a peace...
Upon all lands.
With a removal of diseased minds!
So magnificent and bright.
Descend the colorized lights!

Quick To Be Thoughtless
People who believe themselves to be influential,
And dismiss the activities of others quick.
Assuming what has been done,
Will not affect where they sit...
Or come not to experience the wrath of one,
Victimized by their wickedness...
Only need one time to be shown,
Who's boot fits the foot that kicks them out the door.
Just one time does it take,
To clarify this kind of mind with an introduction to reality.
And to their surprise,
The one who does this...
Was the first to have offered a welcoming,
With a warm assistance given.
But...
Who knew that the one self obsessed,
Would perceive the one expressing hospitality...
To be the one picked as dispensable?
You know...
Someone believed trying to impress.
And someone who one best is thought...
Can be done without.
So disturbing are the minds of those who are...
Quick to be thoughtless and fast to raise a nose.
And...
Too late,
Come the lessons for some to learn...
Like those who believed they are chosen,
When applying a respect that should not be selective.
And they 'assume' someone near,
Can do without a bit of political correctness.
Based upon their 'perspective'.
And undenied and unstoppable 'arrogantness'.
'Excuse me,
Your Highassness...
I don't believe we've met.
But if you expect to stay around here...
Your way of doing things,
Will not be done around me.
Is that clear?
I am not so charitable when offended.
Or dismissed by stupidity.
But I do love the process of giving warnings.
Some I know wouldn't bother!
How fortunate you are 'they' are not 'me'.'
~What are you saying? ~
'I'm quick with the use of my feet.
And you don't want to see either foot in action.
Since that would create unnecessary distraction.
But eventually you will get the point I make.
I've grown increasingly patient.'

Chatterbox
Many say they can deliver,
But only few can receive.
Lips flapping nonstop...
Don't believe!
Ears may be wide open,
But the brain is shut closed.
Ignorance exposed...
Is there to show!
People think they get their blessings,
By listening to a preacher.
Fidgeting and sitting,
While nothing's sinking in.
Schools may hire teachers,
To give lessons to the kids.
But nobody cares,
What's in these quick heads of kids.
'I do! '
That's not enough.
'Me too! '
That's not enough.
'We do,
And we make it our business to prove it! '
'I do! '
That's not enough.
'Me too! '
That's not enough.
'We do,
And we make it our business to prove it! '
And 'this' is apparent.
Absent parents on the scene,
Pretending caring done is...their 'thing'.
With chatterbox nonstop...
As if a corn popping machine.
And that caring's not there,
Anywhere to be seen.
'I do! '
That's not enough.
'Me too! '
That's not enough.
'We do,
And we make it our business to prove it! '
'I do! '
That's not enough.
'Me too! '
That's not enough.
'We do,
And we make it our business to prove it! '
'I do! '
That's not enough.
'Me too! '
That's not enough.
'We do,
And we make it our business to prove it! '
'I do! '
That's not enough.
'Me too! '
That's not enough.
'We do,
And we make it our business to prove it! '
Chatterbox!
'I do.'
Chatterbox!
'Me too.'
Chatterbox!
'We do...
And, so do you! '
Chatterbox!
'I do.'
Chatterbox!
'Me too.'
Chatterbox!
'We do...
And, so do you! '

Backlash Blues
Langston hughes, nina simone
Mr. backlash, mr. backlash
Just who do think I am
You raise my taxes, freeze my wages
And send my son to vietnam
You give me second class houses
And second class schools
Do you think that alla colored folks
Are just second class fools
Mr. backlash, Im gonna leave you
With the backlash blues
When I try to find a job
To earn a little cash
All you got to offer
Is your mean old white backlash
But the world is big
Big and bright and round
And its full of folks like me
Who are black, yellow, beige and brown
Mr. backlash, Im gonna leave you
With the backlash blues
Mr. backlash, mr. backlash
Just what do you think I got to lose
Im gonna leave you
With the backlash blues
Youre the one will have the blues
Not me, just wait and see

Success
Add something
Extra to turn
The ordinary
To extraordinary
Try hard
And improve
Let this process
Be continuous
Short's life
Time's long
This moment, real
Let this not be lost.
Easy to say
I know not
And easier to find
What you don't
Make progress
Step by step
Success will be
At your doorstep.

Walking In Someone Else's Shoes
I feel like this about life...
If you have reached your 40's,50's and 60's
With a lack of identity and understanding,
As to who you are?
Do not expect from me my patience,
Or a tolerant hand to hold.
I've been called 'nutt's too often by those,
Who are still seeking approval from their mamas
And papas.
With some folks whining,
As if they need their diapers changed.
And the years I endured through emotional pain...
God came to my aid.
And saved me from back to back heartbreak.
With few caring less 'how' I survived!
As long as I was there to hear their complaints,
My pain to them was insignificant.
And as I observe and comprehend how some can be...
I see them now the same way,
Without concern.
There 'is' a caring!
However...
I don't get wrapped up dramatically about it,
Like some folks.
There is something to be said,
About walking in someone else's shoes!
They may look easy and comfortable to wear...
Until it is realized,
The fit just isn't 'that' comfortable.
A perception handed to one on a plate to eat...
With a choice to live life,
Is not life lived to experience all it offers.
Even if one is not ready for the experience...
There is a process called 'growth' that is done!
A maturity that happens,
When one heals and recovers from mental insecurities...
Of all kinds.

I Hate You With So Much Love
I hate you!
With so much love.
I no longer deny it.
How could you leave me?
How could you decide...
Your life lived without me was best?
For who?
I hate you!
I hate you keeping me up at nights.
Wondering if you are being treated right.
If whoever you are with now...
Know what you like and that appetite of yours.
I hate you for making my heartbreak.
With aching I can not shake.
I look and see your face...
Everywhere and every place it seems.
In my dreams I am pleading that you stay.
And when I awaken...
I realize you have actually gone away!
I hate you for doing this...
To us without a ponder.
But a quick dismiss!
I hate you!
With so much love.
And I know it is that 'me'!
That 'me' I need to fix.
Will you give me a chance to do it?

If Devotion Is Expected
She wanted to appear to others,
She had it together.
And was in complete and total control.
And he has stated,
Under one roof shared by two...
If communication wasn't done,
A key would be left...
And he would be through.
Both wish to have a relationship,
Shared with a caring done by another.
But someone has to agree,
Trying to impress others...
To prove one to be independent,
Is not good to establish a relationship...
If devotion is expected to flow with honesty.

From An Eye to Mind Point of View
Little of my life is spent,
Living it by 'quotations'.
Researched to uncover...
Someone 'selected'
To have respected 'intelligence'.
Observation...
And personal experience,
Has been a 'teaching' process...
Of my valued learning.
As I yearn to adventure more.
Exploring life,
From an eye to mind point of view.
That delivers from outside...
My insight that becomes assisted,
By this accepted invitation...
I am not so quick to dismiss as lived.

The earth is a very small stage in a vast cosmic arena. Think of the rivers of blood spilled by all those generals and emperors so that in glory and in triumph they could become the momentary masters of a fraction of a dot. Think of the endless cruelties visited by the inhabitants of one corner of the dot on scarcely distinguishable inhabitants of some other corner of the dot. How frequent their misunderstandings, how eager they are to kill one another, how fervent their hatreds. Our posturings, our imagined self-importance, the delusion that we have some privileged position in the universe, are challenged by this point of pale light. Our planet is a lonely speck in the great enveloping cosmic dark. In our obscurity -- in all this vastness -- there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves. It is up to us. It's been said that astronomy is a humbling, and I might add, a character-building experience. To my mind, there is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our tiny world. To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly and compassionately with one another and to preserve and cherish that pale blue dot, the only home we've ever known.

Along Life's Journey
Along life's journey God's decreed
Are always stops and starts
And yet good people meet each need
Because they have good hearts.
They may have twinkles in their eyes,
Or smiles to share each day,
With faith more than you realise,
To help you on your way...
If not for good friends here and there
And strangers who assist,
This world would be so full of care,
Good times could not exist...
And yet, we, too, respond sometimes,
As if instinctively,
With action, not just writing rhymes
For those with eyes to see...
If God commends each sacred soul,
Then He must share His love
With those who maintain self-control
And pray to Him above...
To think, that every life on Earth
Can choose the right and good
And seek to prove our lives have worth,
When we do what we should...

Visiting hell
I longed to visit hell,
Eager to see and stories to tell,
But I hoped to see it at the earliest,
I thought it may not be good but best,
My eyes stopped and took me by surprise,
Alighted from winged plane to rise,
I wondered and thought step so wise,
One should come here and improvise,
Not bad place to reside,
Leaving all worries aside,
All looked after well,
Nothing to fear like hell,
It is right choice to be here,
Easy to find and not to go anywhere,
All comforts and great souls to meet,
All happily residing and ready to greet,
Why people on earth don’t know it?
You won’t get place even you go with lamp lit,
Do all whatever you can and then come,
Doors 24 hours open and always welcome,
It is little crowed otherwise no problem,
All comforts and stability provided to them,
All fears, long chase and reprisal not here,
Free movement and at will to go anywhere,
I found one notorious soul and asked for comment,
Quick was reply with broad smile” Don’t lament”
People there problematic and hell bent,
We have found this place as heavenly sent,
Don’t be afraid of coming here,
You will not find the good place anywhere,
So we send the message for your happy voyage,
Leave all there for them and bring no luggage,
You will have good beginning and new page,
Freedom from harassment and virtual bondage,
Surrounded by family like strong prison,
Have no say, clear ideas or simple vision

Should They Be Forgiven
Misunderstandings happen.
But should they be forgiven,
When these scenes are repeated?
With a familiar argument...
Starting again to make even less sense.
Misunderstandings happen.
But should they be forgiven,
When scenes like these are repeated?
To hear the same voice say,
'Let's end this!
And from each other,
Just walk away.'
Some aren't the ones,
Who have a problem with that!
The ones in denial,
Are the ones who keep looking back.
Trying to prove an innocence.
When together time spent,
Neither had been on the same track.
And often having 'chemistry'
Prevents off track distractions.
And it is difficult to say,
To someone once loved...
'Go away.'
But someone should do it.
If misunderstandings continue not to improve,
The communication in a relationship...
That's needing one less fool.
Someone should 'get it' and move on with life quick.
Instead of refusing not to do this,
But stay to annoy until a bitterness gets thick!
With attempts to try enforcing a mending of a split.
And the air reeks of no apparent healing being done,
To avoid any of it.
As those who listen to the same pleas again,
Wish for an immediate bout of amnesia to set in.
Or a door to bolt and cement.

Defenseless Against Critics
As long as your stature remains credible,
I will defend you.
And nothing you do...
In my eyes,
Will be regrettable.
As long as your ideals remain upfront,
Without the pulling of stunts...
That initiates the beginning of a witch hunt.
I will defend you.
That's what I will do to prove my loyalty is true.
I am not one quick to leave when the heat gets hot.
I am not one to flee from a good thing I've got.
I'll even accept mud thrown in my face...
If that's what it takes,
To keep you and I protected in a safe place.
As long as your stature remains credible,
I will defend you.
And nothing you do...
In my eyes,
Will be regrettable.
And regardless of what others may say,
I've been with you too long...
To be chased away.
This I have proven over our time spent together.
And you know this.
How many times have you healed my wounds?
When I came to you,
Defenseless against critics.
To become even stronger...
As if it was meant for us together to stick with it.

Remote Control
Things get hectic quick
From the satellite dish to your joy stick
Its the night of the living cable box
Wires coming up from around the block
Remote control to change the station
But that wont change your situation
Have you seen what I mean
Im the little gnome thats in your dreams
So I say this rhyme built by design
To take you beyond space and time
Said who is the man making diamonds out of coal
The man pushing buttons on remote control
Remote I want control
Remote I want control
Until your backs up against the wall
You never know yourself that much at all
So youve got to share your love with a friend
Thats all that youve got left in the end
Living in this city of pure confusion
People misled by their own illusion
All this action, no satisfaction
Were all linked together like a chain reaction
Play or fold, love is bold
What is the future that will unfold?
Some like it hot, others like it cold
But we all want to hold the remote control
Remote I want control
Remote I want control
Remote I want control
Remote I want control
Things get hectic quick
All of the sudden Im in the thick
Too much drama all around
Distractions booming in sensuround
Like a rainy days earth wont sit still
Sliding on down a hill
Sometimes life it seems to stall
So never be ungrateful yall
So I got a little something for your pay per view
Like don king Ive got the crazy hair do
Weve got cameras on mars on space patrol
Controlled on earth by remote control
Go to top

Fight Test
I thought I was smart - I thought I was right
I thought it better not to fight - I thought there was a
Virtue in always being cool - so when it came time to
Fight I thought I'll just step aside and that time would
Prove you wrong and that you would be the fool -
I don't know where the sun beams end and the star
Light begins it's all a mystery
Oh to fight is to defend if it's not
Now than tell me when would be the time that you would stand up
And be a man - for to lose I could accept but to surrender
I just wet and regretted this moment - oh that I - I
Was the fool
I don't know where the sun beams end and the star
Light begins it's all a mystery
And I don't know how a man decides what right for his
Own life - it's all a mystery
Cause I'm a man not a boy and there are things
You can't avoid you have to face them when you're not prepared
To face them -
If I could I would but you're with him now it'd do no good
I should have fought him but instead I let him - I let
Him take it -
I don't know where the sun beams end and the star
Light begins it's all a mystery
And I don't know how a man decides what right for his
Own life - it's all a mystery

They Want A New Announcer
He did not decide the party was coming to a close.
He agreed and was chosen to make the announcement,
That the party would soon be over.
And many accepted that.
Now they reject that fact presented.
They want a new announcer,
That is not so quick...
To end their delusions.
Preferrably someone other than...'that' one!
However...
Whoever comes to turn on bright lights,
After they have been dimmed...
Will come to declare,
What was there...
Is over for them!
And still,
They will not believe or accept the message.

Whether That Acceptance Comes or Not
Where am I going?
From here to there,
Just for the experience of it.
And from there,
I may come back here...
To share!
But going 'somewhere'
Is what I intend on my agenda.
That's where I am going.
What about you?
Or are you waiting to dress to impress?
With the hope someone approves,
The way you look, speak and your attitude?
Where am I going?
From here to there,
Just for the experience of it.
And from there,
I may come back here...
To share!
But going 'somewhere'
Is what I intend on my agenda.
And I could care less,
About impressing someone...
With the way I am dressed.
Unless...
That is required for my next step from 'there'.
To take me wherever it is I wish!
And when and if that happen,
I will be more than prepared for it!
However...
I am certainly not going to sit here wondering,
Whether or not I will be accepted and qualified.
I will be qualified!
Whether that acceptance comes or not!
