In Pursuit Of a Developed Happiness

If you were a gift given to me,
Pefect.
The unwrapping of it would not satisfy.
The curiousity would diminish.
And quick I would dismiss it.

Opposites attract!
And I believe this.

If everything I thought or felt,
You knew in advance.
What would be left to enhance?
What chances would we then take...
To enjoy a romance undertaken?

I love the discovery of the unknown.
The mystery of living...
Each step reveals,
Yet to be shown.

To appreciate,
What we together come to make.
Is better than to already know...
We have no need to grow!
Or explore the excitement...
To come to gratify our expectations.

They would be already known.
And that is not the life...
I would choose to live!
Would you?
If there was no giving or taking,
Either of us would have to do.
Or agreed upon after we've argued...
In pursuit of a developed happiness!
