Lotus Symphony
Gourds, seeds, sticks from the desert
Music with base beat deep in dharma
Mystical college, orient sun
Woven in stars amidst the lost world
Call to the tribes
All the ghost legions
Cobra dreams
Sacred waters
Waiting for the chaos to depart
Ashrams, swarthy swamis
Karma in centuries
The world of conflict
No random stars
Everything in phases of becoming
Transcendence
Every note a prayer
Every phrase relief
A flight
A reckoning
Random wind
Past the stage a soul
Music rises like a river
Lotus blossoms swirl amidst the stars

Sonnet – Amidst
Amidst pitch -black darkness, God shows a light;
Amidst a Forest thick, He shows a way;
Amidst black clouds, He brings a moonlit night;
Amidst sorrows, God gives a happy day.
Amidst the desert, Oasis God shows;
Amidst the stormy Sea, He brings calm;
Amidst much strife, He opens newer doors;
Amidst much hopelessness, a helping palm.
Amidst tempest, God shows a bright light-house;
Amidst the glaciers, much sought-after peak;
Amidst our solitude, He gives a spouse;
Amidst the ravines deep, the lost lamb meek.
Amidst the chaos, God ushers new hope,
Amidst the gloom, He gives the church a Pope.

The Galaxies
the galaxies drift
the stars are swimming in the ocean
of space
it is dark but all the planets are feeling confident
there are laws to follow
there will be no collisions
the big bang was so terrible
some stars explode
on the other hand another galaxy is born
somewhere in space
all these
meteors and stars and earths
paradise
in random chaos
we must all know
is still the best poem
ever
you see? the stars over there
they are twinkling
they agree and do not question

An Epitaph for MJ
The world has lost a king.
Music is in chaos; it bewails his loss,
The one whose life was music.
All danced to his tune;
Now he lies low,
6 feet down,
Waiting for His Grace.
We pray for him,
The one whose music was prayer,
'Heal the world
Make it a better place
For you and for me
And the entire human race'.
Let us pray in unison for this great soul
Whose food was music
And music alone...
'If music be the food of love, play on....'
No music reigned above him,
But it sprang from his soul,
Whose spirit was music.
The charm of music lies within,
And from therein comes his voice.
He reigned like a fresh bloom
In the garden of music.
But now...
He’s gone from earth,
But not from our hearts...
He stays behind,
For coming generations...
There’s no end for MJ...

We Are Dreams
Walk like children on river moonlight
Sovereign stars of infinite gentle topaz
She shines like spring waters
Laramie ribbons shoulder the dawn
Mountain mist with blue ice eyes
Drink from streams with no adultery
Inspiration from the winter sun
Green peppermint dreams
Purple dresses swoon the market
No twisted thorns shall ruin the day
Gifts of joy swell the river
Diamond smiles circle the night
Dusk has no war only ships of peace
Gardens march like childhood
Naïve blue sky speaks softly
The bass is deep like a galaxy
Wings bright as mellow gold
A voice of wisdom shall prevail
Lets wear flowers that sing
The shore brings scallion colors
We are revealed in naked mercy
The ages live like rainbows
Streets dance with embroidered sage
Aspen gather the singing stars
Made by fire in the ancient ways
Seeds with trees of angels
Growing in free gardens of peace
Tribes of gardens will win
No fear shall stand against love
We are the unorganized momentum
Turquoise grows like innocence
Isn’t it beautiful to feel the universe?
Rejoice amidst your eternal friends
We come up from the strange sea
Revel in the haunting wind
Eons sail in the pirate rainbows
Remember every tender touch
Every vibration sent by love
Shells with pink dawns sing
Time melts like centuries flow
We gather roses of mystical suns
Radiant waves sigh with stars
Paint your crayon hearts
We are dreams of infinite today

Musical Mile
A hundred miles of music,
The cold sun has been a tune;
Deep banks of sound are heard,
The river compels an attitude.
May this music outlive us and stay,
Inside we strive and behold
To what is to offer besides the sun,
That is hot and cold compared
To other stars.
Stars and more stars, what!
Keeping banks of depth,
On another island not known,
Much is to discuss about the music.

Deep In The Middle Of The Night And Beyond
deep in the middle of the night
and even beyond
this darkness
in my solitude
below the stars and the
full moon
i sit in the form of the lotus-god
praying
there is this silence
contained in the circles
of divinity
this is the throne of the ear
the bed of the mind
this bridge
between God and Myself
the strong silence amidst
all the noise
the glitter
amidst this cacophony
of a tarnished
silver

New Earth
Ghost whispers in the canyon
Granite walls like times art
Voice of eternal angels
Winds, the metaphor of soul
Drink by the river of life
Music comes out of the solitude
Out of the places of spirit
Blood as mystical as time
Feel the ragged stones
Feel the dawn like birth
Circles of children’s angels
Turquoise like peyote of blue joy
Visions where jewels pray
Cactus and red sunsets
Rest in clay valleys of stars
Scorpions in ancient caves
Rattlesnakes in the Apache sun
Ghost towns
Old wagon wheels in dreams
Back into star fields
Back into freedom
The future like a dream catcher
Forward when the tribes meet
Dream and walk north
Eagles fly free
Hear the buffalo
Hear the song of the stars
Let your bones feel life
Rest in the new earth

Thank You
Azure soul true and blue as feathers
We sigh like lovers with fine wings
Breathe love like a warm spring day
Apples red as her kiss
Soft zephyrs
Placid streams
Replete with solemn strength
Refreshed in waters of life
My darling is a golden river
I drink her sweet fountains
In this insane world I have found you
Lets watch the clouds amidst the blue
Love is vital
Love makes it all worthwhile
Love is a gift beyond measure
Summer winds fill with gracious portent
She dreams of my warm arms
Golden meadows where prayer smiles
Moonlight sweet as honey
Silence drenched in deep passion
Fire always burning
Desire always awakening
Dreams amidst antique lamps
The kitchen bright with little kisses
We flow from all the ages
Let the clocks chime
My love ravages my lonely life
The bed burns both day and night
Out the window the stars shine
She sleeps in timeless dreams
Thank you my love for finding me
Thank you my God for blessing me

Gems of Love
Sea of stars spread Scarborough wings
Bright axis where bucolic light sings
Halo of ice shimmers like azure fire
Kyanite shelters unfettered desire
Bright night snow like tanzanite romance
Blood blossoms tribes of ceremonial dance
Ribbons of Anglo Saxon beryl
Chimes ring throughout the world
Music incarnates living crystal ghosts
Spanish soul dreams hot onyx rainbows
We celebrate virgin forests of time
Bamboo thighs ripe with topaz and thyme
Amethyst heals the euphoric citrine
Pearls garnish the shaman seas
Butterflies in valleys of color
Your dress of lilies and heliodor
Children dance out of emetine centuries
Celebrate velvet parrots flying free
Every dream peering in the heights
Opal, zircon, sapphires, Alexandrite
Journey together with feathers of joy
Love has come to deserts of turquoise
See the ancient constellations sigh
Herculean winds and hurricanes cry
Dress amidst the ghost sage
Bricks from fortresses of jade
Peridot and ancient royal rubies
Swim amidst mermaid’s liquid dreams
Drums roll like Gaelic emerald islands
Wrought iron sired in purple suns
Sing my love like swarthy goldfinch croon
We are lands of ancient Scapolite moons
Leather sumptuous as mauve meadows
Wear coral reeves in your betrothed soul
Tourmaline courts the moonstone fire
Bring scarves of Aphrodite’s sphene desire
We are the Chrysoberyl rings of rituals truth
Wedding bells, tides, rivers, magenta pools
Brass bed of passionate roses grow
We enter ceremonies of diamonds and gold
Generations pass the gems of endearing love

Stars
Maybe Ive been the problem
Maybe Im the one to blame
But even when I turn it off and play myself
The outcome feels the same
Ive been thinking maybe Ive been partly cloudy
Maybe Im the chance of rain
And maybe Im overcast
And maybe all my lucks washed down the drain
Ive been thinking about everyone,
Everyone who looks so lonely
But when I look at the stars
When I look at the stars
When I look at the stars, I see someone else
When I look at the stars
The stars, I feel like myself
Stars looking at a planet
Watching agony and pain
And maybe to start to wonder
How the chaos in our lives could
Pass as sane
Ive been thinking about the meaning of resistance
Of a road beyond our own
And suddenly the infinite and repentant
Begin to look like home
Ive been thinking about everyone
Everyone who looks so empty
But when I look at the stars
When I look at the stars
When I look at the stars, I see someone else
When I look at the stars
The stars, I feel like myself.
Yeah!
The stars
Stars
Everyone, Everyone feels so lonely
Everyone, yeah everyone feels so empty
When I look at the stars
When I look at the stars
When I look at the stars, I feel like myself
When I look at the stars
The stars, I see someone

Feed the Pigeons
The subway rides thru fields of steel
The lost horizon shines over the sea
All these dreams walk like the desert
Go see the fortune telling tower
Speakers blare and call the cave dwellers
Town square fills with snake oil
Open the curtains and let the circus play
Repeat the same droll lines
Agents of the bold new age
Time slips into paved columns
In the distance night is coming
Feed the pigeons while their alive
Painted cement reflects the sun
The revolution is a whore
Songs and anthems sell cars
Everything is for sale
Deep under the sea symbols sink
Forgetfulness of the base
Dreams drift without color
Opaque sex dressed in silicone
Trampled on by the changelings
Merchants praise the unfettered beast
Eyes on the ceiling of the blue Bogotá
By the park she walks deep in thought
Bulletin boards decorated with happiness
Civil ceremony where loneliness wears violet
We meet amidst the fog that just won’t leave
Scale the slippery language past the system
Love is the awakening of sleeping forests
Buried in tribes calloused with centuries
Gravity pulls the spirit into the inquisition
Visceral expression on the canvass of a glance
We are the numb children of subliminal fortune
Novocain only lasts so long
Sit on the roof and watch the traffic roll
Grass between the sidewalk cracks
She hands me a note
Yes, I am alive
Lets go to a movie
Sirens howl like wild wolves
Streets prowl like hungry lions
Neon lights glow instead of stars
Costumes of red and gold
Children of the night come to play
All the great towers are lit with pride
Music from the strip clubs cry
We walk quietly watching the carnival
Vampires come out at midnight
Hookers and pimps
We head for the river
We sit on a park bench
I think she likes me, I hope so
In the bookstore there is a meadow
Hamlet reads about choices
Choices to sleep or fight
Orwell’s 1984 is such a sweet book
I think I’ll get it for her for Valentines Day
No, I better get her a box of chocolates
She smiles at me like she trusts me
Lets make a cozy corner and invent a new language
I know I need you but we need to stay awake
What do you mean?
It seems something is trying to control us
I think someone wants to steal our inward world
I believe we have a soul
We hold hands and go feed the pigeons

The Stars
let the stars
rule over me
let them
give me
my destiny
let the zodiac
unfold
my days
let them
i have no more
i have no word
left
for my own world
i look at the lines of my palms searching for myself
let the stars
tell me now, who am i
finally on the day when i am no longer what i have known myself to be
let the stars tell me my name
let the stars bury me in the place where the stars choose me
let my world be the world owned by these stars
i have no word
i have nothing left for myself
yes, let these stars comfort me let all things come without my calling

Sonata
The grave is empty.
Darkness, half lit by the blurred moon,
Chilled by the sea, the fog waiting,
The enthralled stars, nearly lost,
Searching for another earth,
The dark soil waiting for the seed.
Chaos-night.
The memory of a fireplace,
Warmth with music
Undulating arias
Like small birds falling into darkness.
Cold rain
Driving against my window.
Muffled music and dreams of water,
And another grave.

Invocation
I called on dreams and visions, to disclose
That which is veil'd from waking thought; conjured
Eternity, as men constrain a ghost
To appear and answer. ~ WORDSWORTH.
Answer me, burning stars of night!
Where is the spirit gone,
That past the reach of human sight,
As a swift breeze hath flown?–
And the stars answer'd me–'We roll
In light and power on high;
But, of the never-dying soul,
Ask that which cannot die.'
Oh! many-toned and chainless wind!
Thou art a wanderer free;
Tell me if thou its place canst find,
Far over mount and sea?–
And the wind murmur'd in reply,
'The blue deep I have cross'd,
And met its barks and billows high,
But not what thou hast lost.'
Ye clouds, that gorgeously repose
Around the setting sun,
Answer! have ye a home for those
Whose earthly race is run?
The bright clouds answer'd–'We depart,
We vanish from the sky;
Ask what is deathless in thy heart,
For that which cannot die.'
Speak then, thou voice of God within,
Thou of the deep, low tone!
Answer me, thro' life's restless din,
Where is the spirit flown?
And the voice answer'd–'Be thou still!
Enough to know is given;
Clouds, winds, and stars their part fulfil,
Thine is to trust in Heaven.'

Feel The Music
Feel the music...
Feel the music-
Feel that beat pounding in your head-
Feel it in your soul-
Stirring your soul-
Cleansing your mind...
Dance...
Feel the music-
Carrying you away with the rhythm-
Beyond the stars tonight-
As the rest of the world still toils...
Just dance the night away...
Just feel the music
And dance...

Lets Forget About The Stars
(words & music by owens)
If you let the stars keep telling you
Who to love and not to love
You may never find contentment for your heart
You could go unloved forever and darling that means never
Surrender to love, lets forget about the stars
You say that stars have promised you true love ten thousand times
But here you are with a broken heart and mind
I can tell you want to love me from the beating in your heart
Surrender to love, lets forget about the stars
Lets forget about the stars, come follow me my dove
To a world just like the world that youve been dreaming of
Lets not wait too long for something might go wrong
Surrender to love, lets forget about the stars
Lets forget about the stars
Lets forget about the stars
Lets forget about the stars

New Song
Quiet room flows with life
Prayer is a Christmas fire
No forlorn currents of strife
Hope kindles noble desire
The world is amidst the stars
They swirl with joy above
Sun shines on Venus and Mars
Everything glows with love
Hermit verse stripped of pretense
Romantic exegesis gone
Love is always the present tense
We sing a new song
Rejoice in the depths of soul
Rejoice in the gift of eternal love
We are the children of hope
We sing of the true white dove
Let the world hear our new song

Wings Of Joy
I loved you under the spring stars
Laughed with yellow and violet flowers
Sat for hours by the blue sea
We listened to the tides sing
Walked the shore like innocent children
Hearts lifted by mystic feathers
Golden days flew with wings of joy
The world didn’t seem so lost
Love reconciled all the pettiness
Montague and Capulet fought
Romeo wanted no war only love
Juliet felt her heart sail with desire
Dreams nestled in summer wine
Kisses true with passions jewels
Hearts broken seek kindness
Trust must be won with virtue
I know you have been hurt
I know you need time to heal
I know you feel gentle words
Love is a warm fire in the chill of life
Rivers of stars surround the moon
She has come again to listen
Leary but open waiting for a troubadour
She treads carefully with her heart
The night brings quiet angels
Amidst the shadows of moonbeams
I call to your serene soul
I reach for you with my broken heart
I have searched the garden for you
Waiting for the joy of your song
Only love can heal the wounded
Loneliness has been my friend too long
Wings of joy sigh amidst loves poetry
My darling I walk softly into your heart
Tender words start a fire of dreams
Wings of joy whisper on the moonlit sea

The Stars Look Down
Like the fly on the wheel, who says,
"What a lot of dust we're raising."
Are you under the illusion
That you're part of this scheme?
Seems like a lifetime ago
You could look with pride
On your world of dreams
What is the meaning of this'?
And the stars look down
What are you trying to do?
And the stars look down
Was it something I said
And the stars look down
Like the rat in a maze who says
"Watch me choose my own direction."
Are you under the illusion
The path is winding your way?
Are you surprised by confusion
When it leads you astray?
Have you lived a lifetime today -
Or do you feel like you just got carried away?
What is the meaning of this?
And the stars look down
What are you trying to do?
And the stars look down
Was it something I said?
And the stars look down
Something you'd like me to do?
And the stars look down
