Ghosts Of The Full Moon
Every moonbeam radiates joy
Sycamore trees in shadows of the sea
Savannah grass in green waves
Mystic winds blow the ancient souls
Let the fingers of night caress
Let the feelings sigh like a shaman
See the buffalo graze under the stars
Naked stars that pry memories
Stars of the future birth
Angel night where awe sails on time
We are temples
We are spiritual
We are part of the ghost world
Pearls of emerald waves
Seagulls fly like sailors souls
Onyx moon of silver ancestry
Valley of Kidron and golden tombs
Dreams walk the hallowed corridors
Touch the sacred wells deep in the sky
Irish fields green with souls
Ghosts of the Great Barrier Reef
Eyes like wandering lions
Buried inside the Great Wall of China
Castles along the Seines
Ships rise in the galaxies
Have you felt the shivers of the moors?
The ancient ones of the full moon
Villages appear in hallways of sleep
Words from the winds of love
Flaming swords with two edges
Gates where living waters flow
Caravans of stars
Desert visions
Black Sea silk
Her ecstasy is in a room of mirrors
Michael Angelo’s bust emanates
Rembrandt in the silent museum
Raphael grounded in sanity
Yellow lamp of ancient quills
Whale oil sires the ancient graves
Icy waves of the mariners vault
Stairways in a New Orleans house
Night as quiet as fear
Have your felt the river of night?
Have you seen green eyes stare?
Lovers feel a stranger in their bed
Do you believe in vampires? I do
Van Gogh was haunted
Soon you will hover
Soon we will be the night
Islands of Jules Verne
Opium dens of Calcutta
Tibetan monks chant
Impudent vengeance never sleeps
Sword of Spartacus revels in anger
Magnolia slaves of the plantations lair
Red eyes, keep a night light on
Avenues of Hades belladonna
Byron dressed in black velvet
Jim Morrison at a séance
Edgar Allen Poe knew the night
Indigo trees in the wind
Mango ghosts
The Nile where cobra’s laugh
Brazilian rosewood dreams
Spanish ghosts of Mediterranean blood
Tireless Volga a sage of time
Ethereal eyes like a slaughter
Tribes are wandering the silt fields
Mountains ghosts
Celtic rivers of the vivid mind
Can you feel their candles?
The wings of night flutter
Shadows merge breathing constellations
The wind blows the curtain lace
They gather in costumes under moonlight
Ghosts of the full moon

Ghosts Of The Sea
Calyx of forgotten souls
Crushed in the labyrinth
The sea whispers with ghosts
Cold night of the mariner
I hear the sigh of time
Every cry a breath of starlight
These dreams wash ashore
All your shelter leaves you
She fades like a winters day
No footprints along the tide
Seagulls circle golden history
Baroque poetry elegant as blue
Royal blue filled with radiant love
Ambiguous as the free will
Hard like diamond sextant notions
Under the sea my heart shines
Do we belong too one another?
Will the eastern sun bring us home?
I seek your values
I seek everyman free
I am the poor and frightened
You are the vulnerable
You are the divorced and hurting
We are the ghosts of the living sea
No epithet on the mystic waters
Names in ancient mystery
Caverns deep with leviathan
Wedding rings of the four winds
Empires rage tossed in the waves
Our ship joins mighty Neptune
Mountain villages with lanterns
Kelp and seaweed by our grave
Icy waters of the gracious Irish Sea
Crypts of the dusky Black Sea
For the sea shall give up its dead
A thousand tongues of the wind
We are beneath the pirate ships
Let the tides sing of love
Stars over the mighty Atlantic
Gales howl and we are at peace
Snowmelts like icy rivers of joy
Blending takes brave trust
Closer and wet with volcanoes
Islands swept with hurricanes
We were here and still are
Our candles join the tides
Moonlight eyes stare at me
The wind has called us

Shamans and Dreamers
Rise to the occasion, feathers and drums
Let the colors of the rainbow shine
These myths have faces, let them dance
Music is a shaman
Ghosts play in the sacred fire
Ancient voices come out of their graves
Vast rivers of life flow in quiet soul
Visions shelter interior hallways
Dreamers induce the mystic pathway
Cool summer breeze deep with ancestry
Eyes of night bright with oracles
The old clock chimes
Moonlight glow on the lake
Wolfs howl in the distant forest
Tears bring memories by a camp fire
Sailors on royal ships, marooned
Watery graves of sunken antiquity
Spirits in the world of shadow
We are the living past, tell their stories
We are the scribes of true history
Stars play like ancient divine thespians
Shamans and dreamers feel chills tonight

Temptation
Night comes, she retreats from love
Winter tears water her memories
Enough pain, she closes the door
Snow falls lightly, hearts freeze
No lavender or soft blue only shadows
Behind thick walls her poetry sighs
Art from the dark soul without sun
Cold frosted illicit moonlight shines
Temptation walks along the lost sea
Silver bracelets and golden chains
Eyes pierce through my weakness
By the fire she burns and waits
The treasures of lust howl like wolves
Winding stairways haunted with ghosts
Masks of feasts from ancient Castles
Winds blow along the barren coast
Collect lost souls with thighs of sin
Creatures dead dance in crimson red
Deep inside the islands become desert
Run from the stars to your fallen bed
She burns like Poe's House of Usher
Frozen lioness eyes raging with war
She calls my name and I must go
Between good and evil my soul is torn
Tonight silence pounds like drums
Her gown is silk and fine black lace
Loneliness springs like an endless well
Aquiline beauty in a Goddesses face
I enter into temptations moonlight

Mystic Earth
Mystic earth restores the sacred traveller
Mountains where wolves play with sojourners
Seeds deep with wisdom grow their life
Humble villages where trees laugh
Festive mushrooms, leaves of healing
Shamans of the ancient forest
Evil men know nothing of timeless medicine
Fruit from Eden replenishes pilgrims
The meek know the garden is a door way
Tonight crickets sing, pines listen with joy
Cedars are like great owls of time
Rivers flow with sweet peace
Your never alone, they are wondrous friends
Elves are not fairy tales, wake up!
Clover grows to magnify the green spirit
Fire flies play like shooting stars
Drink from a waterfall of wood gnomes
The cry of the loon haunts a magic night
Summer flowers sing such fine melodies
Hear the wind bring the voice of comfort
Rain on the daffodils blesses the oaks
Moonlight on yellow geraniums gather love
Rainbow fall will soon dance for the great King
All are invited to the harvest of beauty
She wears jewelry made of dappled sun light
Golden waves like the sea flowing in the universe
Opal, Topaz, diamonds forged from tribal ghosts
Beryl and onyx sigh with queens of ancient bliss
Eagle feathers lift the spirit into turquoise blue
Open the gates of the gifted Sequoias, giants
Dawn is a meeting of many noble angels
Look at Jupiter serenade the lovers moon
Stars smile for the hearts of searchers
The earth is a grand mystic friend

Our Night
When our lips melt
Through the conversation
Our night,
When our sails are
Followed by the shining stars
Our night,
When our challis
Is full of romance
Our night,
When the ragged mountain
Becomes a green meadow
Our night,
When our souls
Unite
Our night,
When the silver moon
Guards our clasping
Our night
When we live our
Dreams
Our night
When the dawn must wait.

The Ghost Of The New World
'_There are no ghosts in America._'
There are no ghosts, you say,
To haunt her blaze of light;
No shadows in her day,
No phantoms in her night.
Columbus' tattered sail
Has passed beyond our hail.
What? On that magic coast,
Where Raleigh fought with fate,
Or where that Devon ghost
Unbarred the Golden Gate,
No dark, strange, ear-ringed men
Beat in from sea again?
No ghosts in Salem town
With silver buckled shoon?
No lovely witch to drown
Or burn beneath the moon?
Not even a whiff of tea,
On Boston's glimmering quay.
O, ghostly Spanish walls,
Where brown Franciscans glide,
Is there no voice that calls
Across the Great Divide,
To pilgrims on their way
Along the Santa Fe?
Then let your Pullman cars
Go roaring to the West,
Till, watched by lonelier stars,
The cactus lifts its crest.
There, on that painted plain,
One ghost will rise again.
Majestic and forlorn,
Wreck of a dying race,
The Red Man, half in scorn,
Shall raise his haughty face,
Inscrutable as the sky,
To watch our ghosts go by.
What? Is earth dreaming still?
Shall not the night disgorge
The ghosts of Bunker Hill
The ghosts of Valley Forge,
Or, England's mightiest son,
The ghost of Washington?
No ghosts where Lincoln fell?
No ghosts for seeing eyes?
I know an old cracked bell
Shall make ten million rise
When one immortal ghost
Calls to the slumbering host.

Cherubs
Cyan sky of liquid marble
Dreams rain singing doorways
Walk like vibrant eternity
Some know Egypt is real
They die in blue circles
Rise where love feasts
Hear voices of golden shores
I see the hallways of joy
Intuition preludes surround
Stars sail like strange avenues
We divide the divine signs
Tablature of cryptic Genesis
She stops for the cat on the road
Siamese eyes of mercy
Labyrinths where Apache hunted
Burial grounds of eagle souls
Satyr horses ride the northern tribes
Moving ghosts of buffalo herds
Listen to the wind of roses
Red roses where wine flows
Ancient wanderings
Dry places of pain
Now the restless tides change
Ships of dead time join the legions
Many have rings and spells
Leave Pharaohs dark magicians
Candles where souls meet the night
We war with dark angels
We move in a sold world
The wilderness is dark with shadows
Their fallen faces snarl
They stare like gargoyles
Now love comes like a storm
Tangled in the principalities
We are the dying amidst the dead
Called to live and change
The valley of idols calls
Drowned in a thousand lusts
Weak and chained
Caress the land of giants
No past, no nations
Identity of the called
We are spectacles of love
Leave the house of stone
Leave the altars of Baal
Time is a transgression
The inward man is renewed
Cherubs fly in rosewood

The Gates of Innocence
Up round St John Street we walked one night, while moonlight brightly glowed,
My arm around you, yours round me, with two friends long ago.
So deep into love’s old sweet dream in moments now long flown,
And like a leaf upon the breeze my heart was not my own.
Oh the road to winning you was fraught, with quicksands all the way.
I sank and swam, I walked and ran, I wooed you night and day,
To simply hold your hand so soft, or gaze on eyes so blue,
In steep green fields at Clachanmore when I worked next to you.
But no moon nor love could quite foresee that I would wriggle free,
Against my heart, against my will, somewhat regretfully.
The roads we walked were soon to part, to sever us for ill,
To leave the Crescent we once walked, to ghosts that haunt me still.
Now the thoughts that circle round me here, they strengthen with the night.
As if the years have fallen to that young love’s breathless might,
Your eyes beguiled the doubting stars and left me void of sense,
Before the moments we fell through, the gates of innocence.
Now the moonlight shines less brightly on the lonely fields we cleared,
And St John Street is not as sweet as when I held you dear.
The friends we walked with on that night still walk together yet.
The full moon’s promise holds as true, as when we two last met.
chorus
The winds blow cold on those steep green fields
And strangers walk down St John Street
I’ve walked the crescent where love grew
Where innocence once sheltered me and you
Bitten
Brazen glass moon like ice eyes
Fever in the chill of her gothic mask
Bitten by a creature of moonlight
Bitten and stung by her fire and touch
I am in the corridors of wet pain
Covens laugh in the theater of soul
Is this haven?
Is this shelter?
I walk where wind ghosts dance
Her high heels prance like panthers
Candles of cinnamon witches
Goddess of ancient fire
Her wolves are hungry pets
Released from cages deep within
Misty ravens of the labyrinth of sin
Some of us are afraid of castles
Some men are bound like caskets
She has taken the key from the dungeon
She tells me of kneeling
Now the moon rises over the castle
Red and black actors in chains
Dreams of her body of lace lust
Her spell cast in the moonlight mist
Wrestle with your will and her beauty
Bitten and turning into her night

Eternal Forests
Fate circles the moon of desire
We are the earth circling time
Her kiss has rivers with deer
Eagles fly over cliffs of granite
Lovers of ember centuries
Past the tears past the fears
The thunder of buffalo herds
Mountain streams like Eden
No armies or galleons
Oak grow as the mighty wind
Our bed has ancestry
Lovers share their dreams
When the land was open
No signs, no ownership
Meadows of stars shine
We are the future laughter
We are the dreams of warriors
They know they must die
They know they must be brave
Feel them in your bright kiss
Passion filled with battles
Feel their canoes along the waters
Your arms are their arms
Kiss your warriors that stand
They are dying for a way of life
Their blood cries from sacred ground
Your eyes like doves
Your dreams of fire and broken arrows
Hold me like a shaman of stolen land
Share your joy and sorrow
Ghost of sweet streams and feathers
Making love by quiet rivers
Warriors that once blessed the sky
The legions come with their chains
They bring reservations
They bring peace treatise with broken tongues
Love me on this hot bed of soul
The night has ancient eyes
Hear the wind bring tears of Cochise
See the shadows like war dances
See the broken wings of the hawk
We must kiss the future when morning rules
We must remember all their visions
Love is a circle of great seasons
Blend into me like a thousand full moons
Tecumseh sighs in the Ohio valley
Make them move west until they are gone
My love the land cries in your heart
These braves of the new world
Panther in the sky
Trail of tears in your loving thighs
We love in hidden valleys and cold mountains
Sacred burial grounds whisper
Let me hold your warrior soul
I am your lover here and now yet pierced
We are ancient lovers waiting for eternal forests

Holy Night
Everything sighs with moonlight
Who owns the sun and stars?
Prayer sails outside of mortal time
My soul lives in another dimension
Gentle palm trees sway in shadows
The sea shines in wake of the moon
Waves role and ebb on quiet shores
Sacred moment swells with eternity
The universe is a friend to sojourners
Stars of Holy portent glow with awe
Gentle night along this white sand
Mystic soft light on kelp and shells
Lights from the small mountain village
They fish the sea like centuries before
I sit on an old rock of ancient lava
The glimmer of the stars is hypnotic
Dreams mingle with beauty true
Fellowship with wonder and peace
Assurance that all will be well
Spirit in the sweet breeze and tide
Gratitude ascends on this Holy Night

Coal Black Night
Lighthouse lit amidst the clouds
Waves of ominous soul quell
Ships as abstract as ether
No stars shine on hell
Universe of lust
Lost in feasts of sumptuous gold
Draconian masters of pleasure
Tonight no blue flowers rise
Do you believe in possession?
Ghosts in closets
Dark tiers of sullen forces
Anger as deep as snakes
Sleep in the tangled bedrooms
Suicide amidst your fornication
Tired of love
Tired of righteous pursuit
Champaign glasses of dark crystal
Lavish red carpets
Semen stains lapped by devils
No morning sun shines on the pit
She bids me to join her lair
What goes on in the human fall?
Hearts covered in temptations call
Sleep with your snakes of love
She is attracted to my dark wings
Her icy nipples touch my gargoyles
Statues of vampires on fire
Rings old with spells sired of blood
Candles burn with crimson ceremony
Hallways between ancient graves
Have you felt the cold veins of time?
Murky eyes where light no longer shines
Verlaine is never dead
Rimbaud reads Byron
We are the decadent side of time
Have you ever laid a witch?
Silk stockings smooth like horns
Dark eye shadow carves my skin
Only the sound of the sea is human
The sounds of a whip hypnotize
I embrace the coal black night

Flowing Sea
I long for the true sea
No illusions, no pretense
Tides that ripple with mystery
Seagulls free like the breeze
You are centuries of shells
You are deep light on the shore
You are hope shivering in my bones
Everywhere the blue sky lives
I meditate like a saint
Sweet waters of life
The whispers of dawn
Purple blue worlds
Ancient wisdom
Emotions like driftwood
Romance radiates
Renewed by a deep angel
Golden sands give way to moonlight
Shadows wash the night
Foghorns like stars
Soulful lighthouse in the distance
Salty air on a summer night
Dreams of peace
Shrines of stars
The sea never lets me down
Pearl sky perfume
Gates to my soul
Washed in hope
Envy gone
The world behind me
Sapphire religion
Turquoise past and future
Free fires burning with love
Waves shelter the child
The sea flows like an angel

Aurora Borealis
A crystallization of color spreads from the upper regions of the dark sky towards the trembling nipples of the waves. The feathering fringes of clouds fade behind pillars of green light. Transparent curtains tremble every-where. In the arctic temple, the hidden Samson of light shakes the moon-green pillars of the night.
Color these crystals with sudden blood; it is dawn, or else the last consumptive saliva of the dying day. Heartless hard light!
In the crisp light of the frozen tinkling stars, no waters flow. The ice-stars are icebergs in this black ocean. When the green glass cathedrals crash, the light and the pillars of light and the green pillars of moon-green crystallized light are reflected through space and finally settle like sharp blades above the trembling nipples of the waves.
Samson moves in the glass cathedrals. Samson and the bull and Samson and the sun and the sun is the bull and Samson is the sun and is the bull.
Let crackling twigs of green-white light weave fantastic tree-patterns on the mirror of the sea. Let the deceptive sky celebrate the fall of its ice-cathedrals and its icebergs and its ice-stars when darkness hardens the black waters into the sullen black ice-pack of night.
Red Samson the arctic red sun is moving in the groves of green pillars. There is the red tinge of consumptive blood flickering behind the moon-green glass pillars of light. Blood of red Samson, red blood of Samson, the red thief is sprinkling blood on the slanting pillars of the falling sanctuary of light that is doomed to succumb soon to the black ice-pack of night. Then there will be night and, suddenly thrust into dark night, the red sex of the Samson-sun must later rise out of eastern whiteness and destroy the night.
Then the pillars of the black shattered temple of night glow with a white light and a red light of consumptive blood, but again later comes night then again the same Samson as the temples crash each time when the red thief scatters blood on the pillars of the light or the pillars of the night. And the thief is Samson and the red sun is Samson and Samson is the thief and Samson is the sun.

Time only has so much Time
Pearl fire of aqua language
Poets purge the unconscious forms
Wings of ethereal justice and beauty
She has mercy in her piercing eyes
Stone lions chase ravens
The claws of silence
Forever past in granite
There in the wind hides legacy
Voices of the deep sapphire sea
Gardens where forgiveness glides free
Trench warfare is over
Below the equinox
By palm trees of ice
Egyptian mummies walk in the valley
She hands me a vision
A vision lacking the entire world
Freedom is a dream found in libraries
Mortal fear wrestles with morning
All the gates are locked
By the fountain a golden flower grows
Dialogue with Dante’s Inferno
Winds of Shelley’s thorns
Poseidon sails in a Roman slave ship
Spartacus meditates vengeance
Myth becomes the shields of armies
Pirates steal Caesars bold inscription
Opium ships bring their cargo west
Denizens read Verlaine and Virginia Woolf
A more perfect union visions of Voltaire
Autonomous Atlas lifts the weight of the world
Through symbols and dreams the fog lifts
Shaman prophets die early deaths
Let the clowns swim with the mermaids
Every one needs dreams that dance
Escape to the islands and look over the precipice
Along the mountain passes feel the free air
Sleep under the moon with your wise lover
Lord Byron’s black steeds ramble the night
Walk through forests of emerald romance
Let your dreams escape from self torment
Dharma mountains rise in spires
Genuflect in neurotic salvation
Holy water with fluoride
The womb of peace
Adults suck their thumbs
Deep in the caves of Greek enigma
Collective unconscious circles
The mirror of gravestones
On the road where gamblers shine
Heroes like rivers rolling to the sea
Poet readings sigh in history
The beats tap their feet to free jazz
Slowly the shadow drives the wind
The magic hour fades and the dust settles
Fire passed by the seers of art
We read biographies of bold alleys
The bells of Notre Dam ring
Along the Seines painters gather
Porcelain shrines decorated in dying flowers
Sleep in towers with winding stairways
Hands tied by stolid fate
All these questions hide in dusky caves
Sometimes the stars look like cold ice
Ideals punished by the ticking clock
Here comes the tide washing everything
All this desolate stench
All this waste
Now the sun seems just the same
Centuries move like angels
What really matters is the day is bright
Meaning the clarity of generations
These ancient alphabets are written on time
Time to live because time only has so much time

Ghosts
People that I left behind
Wondering lonely in the night
All in my memory
Dreams
Long forgotten flights of time
Flashbacks flooding through my mind
Of all the things you said to me
In the shadows where I walk
In the silence
The wind talks of you
Like a ghost
Haunting the night
So you wander through my life
Ghosts
People that I dont believe
Just what theyve got to do with me
Oh -- I cant see it
Ghosts
Long forgotten -- in time
Look at those flashbacks
Flooding through my mind
Of all the things youve said to me
In the shadows where I walk
In the silence
The wind talks of you
Just like a ghost
Haunting the night
You know you wander through my life

Well Take The Night
Roy orbison/will jennings/j.d.souther
Baby its hard sometimes to wake and face this life everyday.
Sometimes its bad enough to stop and through the good all away.
Tonight lets put the world aside and let go toghether.
The night is one place we can hide in each others arms.
Dream on forever.
Come on baby, and well take the night.
While the stars are willing and the moon is right.
Dreams are shining in a magic light.
Come with me,oh well take the night.
You and me,oh well take the night.
Baby, well take the night.
Look up and let the night unfold.
Hold on to the feeling.
Reach out and let it touch your soul.
And give in to love, love is believing.
Come on baby, and well take the night.
While the stars are willing and the moon is right.
Dreams are shining in a magic light.
Come with me,oh well take the night.
You and me,oh well take the night.
If everystar should fall.
And tomorrow lose all meaning.
We would still have had it all.
Its locked away inside our hearts.
There for the dreaming.
Come on baby, and well tale the night.
While the stars are willing and the moon is bright.
Dreams are shining in the magic light.
Come with me,oh well take the night.
You and me, oh well take the night.
Come on baby, and well take the night.
While the stars are willing and the moon is bright.
Dream are shining in a magic light.
Come with me, oh well take the night.
You and me,yeah well take the night.

Laurels Of Green
Trees filled with starlight
Wise rivers in the root of life
Cedar leaves banners of Solomon
White pine laugh with the elves
Poems of the ancient sequoias
Whispering forests by the sea
We are the fallen race of men
They have not been banished
They are free with no guilt or shame
They know no war like strife of man
They speak of the fire from above
We walk softly on velvet moss
Wild flowers, apple orchards, ferns
My darling have you heard?
Lets go out tonight in the moonlight
Blueberries grow free and wild
Eagles filled with grace and joy
Oak and basswood, grapevines
The grass awaits the savory rain
Solitude walks in the morning dew
Have you seen the magic islands?
Decorated with lavish palm trees
Coconuts, pineapples, breadfruit grow
Sandy beaches lit with tropic sun
Volcanoes rise like spires of mystery
Paradise by a sea of green blue dreams
Beads of seeds with spells of shamans
A crown of green that rules the night
Hear tides crash into the mountains side
Rain forests with tendrils of Eden
Tread on bareback mountains gloom
Where winds sing pure and free
Steep as love near precipitous gorges
Beauty walks amidst clouds and rainbows
Waterfalls fill with pristine melting snow
Streams feed the rivers of unyielding myth
Forests of shining green fill the valley
Stars glisten through the pines of night
Like ancient eyes that guard the earth
This land is filled with a mystic glow
Lovers of the great father sun
Old like legends of gnomes and moonbeams
No guile or pretense no masks to wear
Violets, peonies, orchids and the rose
Lilies on ponds and fields
Graced with the voice of song birds
Breezes in your hair of gold
Tales of the winds of old
When the trees ruled in gentle peace
Lovers need the laurels of green

We Are Dreams
Walk like children on river moonlight
Sovereign stars of infinite gentle topaz
She shines like spring waters
Laramie ribbons shoulder the dawn
Mountain mist with blue ice eyes
Drink from streams with no adultery
Inspiration from the winter sun
Green peppermint dreams
Purple dresses swoon the market
No twisted thorns shall ruin the day
Gifts of joy swell the river
Diamond smiles circle the night
Dusk has no war only ships of peace
Gardens march like childhood
Naïve blue sky speaks softly
The bass is deep like a galaxy
Wings bright as mellow gold
A voice of wisdom shall prevail
Lets wear flowers that sing
The shore brings scallion colors
We are revealed in naked mercy
The ages live like rainbows
Streets dance with embroidered sage
Aspen gather the singing stars
Made by fire in the ancient ways
Seeds with trees of angels
Growing in free gardens of peace
Tribes of gardens will win
No fear shall stand against love
We are the unorganized momentum
Turquoise grows like innocence
Isn’t it beautiful to feel the universe?
Rejoice amidst your eternal friends
We come up from the strange sea
Revel in the haunting wind
Eons sail in the pirate rainbows
Remember every tender touch
Every vibration sent by love
Shells with pink dawns sing
Time melts like centuries flow
We gather roses of mystical suns
Radiant waves sigh with stars
Paint your crayon hearts
We are dreams of infinite today
