Shedding The Old Man
Shedding the old man.
I feel I should.
And feeling great enough,
To say that I can.
So why not?
Philosophies adopted as to what is old,
I don't accept to reflect to others...
A perception of it.
To sit and portray aging that way.
I don't limp!
I hop.
With pain felt or hot.
Because I am shedding the old man.
Even though in the mornings,
It may take me a while to stand.
Shedding the old man.
I feel I should.
And feeling great enough,
To say that I can.
So why not?
Now...
If I can only remember,
Where I put my glasses.

Darkness
the darkness fills the air
i dream yet i do not feel
i see yet i am blind
what is this life i ask
i do not know
i do not know
i feel yet i am numb
i see your smile
i see your pretty face
my heart beats for you
this i know this i know
i can not tell you this
i know i know yes i know
i dream yet i cannot see
a world of darkness
fills the air that i breathe
why must it be this way
i don`t know i don`t know
i cannot see i cannot see
the darkness fills my heart
the darkness fills my life

Confidence - 1232
Hope's heart heart follows, head held high,
regrets may melt where heartfelt tune,
cues to tomorrows shedding sigh,
discovers confidence which soon
tints rainbow arch 'spite cloudy sky.
Free spirit fills will's bright ballon,
soars from discoloured background dry
which morning, night and afternoon
emotions often would deny.
Where twin souls share serenity
hearts, minds, unite in harmony.

Some Claim We Were Born Alone
some claim we were born alone
but was there not a heartbeat heard
as we grew within a mother’s womb
a placenta provided oxygen food
nourishment fed through umbilical cord
shadow post birth after us expelled
a hand took us cleaned us cut cord
totally dependent helpless we received
a heart fed us loved us meet our need
we were cared for we grew lived
to prosper all life is time given nourished
all life that endured love received
there was a time when we were not alone
each moment of growth was a heartbeat heard
those who give foster love in a world womb

Darkness
Greed
Causing innocent blood to flow
Entire culture lost in the overthrow
They came to see, take whatever they please
Then all they gave back was death and disease
People were left with no choice but to decide
To conform to a system responsible for genocide
Responsible for genocide, responsible for genocide
Aids is killing the entire african nation
And a vaccine is still supposedly under preparation
But these governments, they dont mind the procrastination.
They say well kill them off, take their land and go there for vacation
My peoples culture was strong and was pure
And if not for that white greed, it would have endured
My people were left with no choice but to decide
To conform to a system
Their minds did slay
Their souls they cage
You feel the rage
This brutality can never be undone
But the sun has not yet set
The bass and drums and microphone a threat
Thats when youve got to get the cry from the inside
And see that theyre responsible for genocide
Responsible for genocide, responsible for genocide
You jam your culture down my throat
Say Im inferior when apon it I choke
You fill my mind with a false sense of history
And then you wonder why I have no identity
Well strike a match and itll catch
And spread the insight we need
A tiny fire burning bright
Shedding light on the darkness of greed
A yes yes yall and you dont stop
Shedding light on the darkness of greed
A yes yes yall and you dont stop
Shedding light on the darkness of greed

To My Heart
Love is water mild
To my heart;
It fills my heart
With pleasure
As it flows.
Love is fire tender
To my heart;
It fills my heart
With delight
As it burns.
Love is air gentle
To my heart;
It fills my heart
With gladness
As it goes.

Bavarian Gentias
Not every man has gentians in his house
in soft September, at slow, sad Michaelmas.
Bavarian gentians, big and dark, only dark
darkening the daytime, torch-like, with the smoking blueness of Pluto's
gloom,
ribbed and torch-like, with their blaze of darkness spread blue
down flattening into points, flattened under the sweep of white day
torch-flower of the blue-smoking darkness, Pluto's dark-blue daze,
black lamps from the halls of Dis, burning dark blue,
giving off darkness, blue darkness, as Demeter's pale lamps give off blight, lead me then, lead the way.
Reach me a gentian, give me a torch!
let me guide myself with the blue, forked torch of this flower
down the darker and darker stairs, where blue is darkened on blueness even where Persephone goes, just now, from the frosted September
to the sightless realm where darkness is awake upon the dark
and Persephone herself is but a voice
or a darkness invisible enfolded in the deeper dark
of the arms Plutonic, and pierced with the passion of dense gloom, among the splendor of torches of darkness, shedding darkness on the lost bride and her groom.

For My late WIFE
For my late Wife
And you my dear whenever,
I close my eyes and back I go,
They start like rain shedding tear,
With me you are not though.
Like a dream it was that nearly one year,
Come see and feel if you can,
Alone I stand seeking you far and near,
On my face the smile, hope and the pain.
Desire I a strange unattainable dream,
Would that I could take the time back,
It gives me pleasure though odd it seem,
But losing this dream my heart will crack
You know what all this is? Oh love mine,
Something to keep you alive, and keep me thine.

When The Practice Of Madness Appears
People run,
Shedding from a fun...
They once had,
Under bright clear Sun.
But...
When all is said,
And their fun has been done...
People run.
People run.
People run,
Away from anyone...
Who isn't there to comfort,
To help them overcome...
Whatever it is,
That invites their fears...
When the practice of madness appears.
People run...
When the practice of the madness appears.
People run,
Away from anyone...
Who isn't there to comfort,
To help them overcome...
Whatever it is,
That invites their fears...
When the practice of madness appears.

Shedding from a fun...

The Heart Beat
the heartbeat is the snare
and the drum beat within the flare
it is percussioned on the strings
of the sensory nerves, sometimes it rings
like a bell
to tell
the actor when the body cell
and muscles rebel
against a situation
the heartbeat is the music
that diffuses from within
correlatively, the heart
elevates the tempo of the music
thus, the heartbeat propels the music of the soul
condenses the rhythm and maintains the tempo
when confronted by fright
the heart becomes the stimuli
to which we respond to fright
faster like lightning; the heartbeat
such vibrations and continuous music
is the rave, reggae if not the rock n' roll of the heart
be it a dream that frightens or conscious
be it at funeral or night crawling
be it the 'karma sutra' or 'my cousin vinny'
be it at election polls or graduation ceremonies
be it wherever, howsoever
the heartbeat flexibly responds
but when we soulfully relaxed
the music from the heart
beats and can be heard as if from afar
the beat can even not be felt in dakar
nor can it be in the car
but within the possessor of thy heart
such is the heartbeat
the one complex music genre.

Would I Marry You? In A Heartbeat!
Inner heartbeat getting fonder!
Inner heartbeat getting sweet!
Inner heartbeat makes me ponder:
So how come life's incomplete?
Inner heartbeat moving faster!
Inner heartbeat moving strong!
Inner heartbeat prods its master...
So how come the days seem long?
Inner heartbeat stirring new love!
Inner heartbeat stirring sighs!
Inner heartbeat like a warm glove!
So how come this feels so nice?
Inner heartbeat palpitating!
Inner heartbeat passion-filled!
Inner heartbeat can't stand waiting!
So how come that it's so thrilled?
Inner heartbeat seeks its solace...
Inner heartbeat seeks its treat!
Inner heartbeat seeks your first kiss!
That's true love... in a heartbeat...

Christmas Is..
Christmas is the time of year.
To give our thanks,
for the lives we live.
To thank our lord,
for shedding his blood.
The blood he shed,
for the sins of the world.
Like the shedding of tears,
in a mournful way.
Our lord was born on Christmas day..

God, Bless the Womb and Home
Empty not the womb!
Empty not your home;
God fills the womb;
Cradle the unborn too!
A child is love
From God above;
Love all children;
Miss not heaven.
Rock the unborn,
Night and morn;
Say ‘No’ to porn!
Avoid God’s scorn.
Murder in the womb
Empties such a home;
Every child, welcome;
Each Child is love of God
made flesh! .
Let the womb
Remain the home
For humankind,
Not tomb!
God fills your womb;
Joy fills your home!
God, bless each womb;
God bless that home.

A Memory That Lives
The scent of the roses
have filled the room.
They came today
to lessen my gloom.
Why the gloom?
why the doom?
There's a hole in my heart
like a cold stone tomb
filled with pain
ever present
like an empty womb.
I've lost my babe.
She was taken away
and 50 years later
there are roses to say
'Your pain is mine.
I feel it too.
For mine was the seed
placed in you.'
And so on this melancholy day
once every year
the roses are sent by my love,
my dear
to help me remember
her birth, her death
as I inhale the sweetness
with my breath
that I only wish was hers.

Her legs are like earrings…
Her legs are like earrings, I've never worn.
There something to be dangled,
Before the electrical storm,
Like a fig-vine she snakes through my mind.
Clad in jingling charms these veils fall…
Shedding her skin of fear
Shedding her gilt, she burns to the core.
All scales removed; she wriggles,
Curled like a frond, moist in every pore.
The jugnle has abducted her senses…
A great winding river enters her falls…
Her kisses like big sticky date's tremble.
As she slivers aside, dawns dewy-wet morn.

One Place In The Night
Girl, don't wait u-up tonight
Don't leave o-on the light
'Cause you'll be sleepin' alone agai-ain
I know my
Intentions were the best
I had it a-all worked out, you see-ee
But you deserve a whole lot better than me
You need a ma-an
Whose heart is only one place in the ni-ight
Who'll stay right here and just be satisfi-ied
You nee-ee-eed a man
Who won't disappoint you every time
Who'll call and say our plans have changed
So don't wait up toni-ight
Stop me-ee now
I've gone and talked too much again
You know I do that now and the-en
So pay no attention to me
If I-I say your na-ame
A thousand times again and again
Just don't listen to me-ee
You need a ma-an
Whose heart is only one place in the ni-ight
Who'll stay right here and just be sa-atisfi-ied
You need a ma-an
Who won't disappoint you every time
Who'll call and say, our plans have changed
So don't wait up tonight
You need a man
Whose heart is only one place in the ni-ight

The Comfort And Ease That We Embrace In Certainties
there is always comfort
in something certain
basics of life: where to go what to do
when it is finished
there is ease
knowing what a chair is all about
or the exact time when
darkness comes
but there is something more
something that we perhaps all know
there is calamity too
in being certain
in the flowing and the expulsion of the
tight hold of the bud
how can one face the sun?
when wilting is certain sooner than thought
how can one face the mirror
and count the factitious of years
the shedding of masks
the slow showing of the first bone
of the skull

Head, Heart and Home
I hang in your Head
Heart and Home -
Like a pall of gloom.
You crushed the bud
That could have
Flowered in your life
With a fragrant bloom.
Now even if the Sun
Shines out there…
There is nothing but
Darkness in your
Closed heart’s dank room.
It is time you heard
The soothsayer’s prophecy
Would all be well again?
Or does it now only entail
Ruinous disaster and doom?
