Pandora's Box Unlocks

With prosperous public to politics wed,
privacy's threatened, it can't be gainsaid.
Consumer protection is often misled
by headlines enticing and small print widespread.
Set in strip lighting, or spoken, or read,
through radio, T.V., broadcasted in bed.
Nor ever has Internet, spammed, been immune,
text message records, repeats, slick slogan, tune.
Printed in polychrome over our head,
in so many senses, for senseless fathead,
over the airwaves judiciously spread
from high ultra-violet to low infra-red,
pasted on posters in blue, black, or red,
advertisement squares all our savings have bled.

The first time I set eyes upon square screen
was for the Coronation of the Queen,
the room was packed with neighbours far and wide,
sardines with scarce a breathing space inside.
But that was almost sixty years ago,
since then from novelty we've seen it grow
from monochrome to tri-di spy immersion
subliminal for and against subversion
to cover acres as necessity
acting for good and ill till cecity
swallows sight, with insight's déjà vu
quite compromised, disinformation too
blatant to ignore which rumour pours
upon mass and seeps through skin deep pores
polluting much, for such appears a lot
of Public Mission with both words forgot.

It's difficult to talk about the 'box'
ignoring all its spread in fact unlocks.
Here 'News' from global village in real time,
there sights and sounds of peaks men mean to climb.
Convergency has helped it piggy-back
on Internet that some folk love to hack,
as streaming waves however they're defined,
all senses of the term, we must remind
ourselves that impacts follow paths to logic strange
as here they help and there their feeds derange.
One thing is certain, advertising space
has cut attention spans yet leaves slight trace
of passing through collective consciousness
to leave John Doe in quite a pretty mess.

This essay could continue till each cow
comes home, they roam on many pastures now,
the arguments both pro and con should be
well integrated in convergency
of multi-media, cinema, and web,
3D, HD, and acronyms that ebb
and flow as progress further progress seeds,
information saturation succeeds
in drawing in the crowds five hours a day
to kill extended time on crime, sport, play,
perhaps to compensate for empty mind
that dare not look to future nor behind,
but lives from day to day as series shower
debilitating plots that seem to flower
to fill the void most would avoid to fill
in ways that build rich character fulfilled.

Heroic couplets on the television
seem odd conveying theme, yet the decision
stems from the ways the human mind has grown
to integrate disinformation sown
as if quite part and parcel of their days
on Earth, to comfort loneliness. Displays
of wars abroad or terrorists at home
distract the brainless brains once wont to roam
from more important things, priorities
once held essential, now old-fashionned tease.

One can no longer speak on television
as media in itself without precision
that information channels multiplied
with much which borrows begs from other side,
as radio upon the Internet
cannot be severed from flash films, and yet
the question could perhaps be re-assessed:
will future influence be worst or best
when all is said and done, in fifty years
a fairer answer may with laughter, tears,
or some of each, an explanation offer
apart from that of draining public's coffer.
An overview essential seems to be
when broaching impact that stems from T.V.
upon our daily lives that seem to flee
from societal responsibility
as individual decision making
appears to be upon the point of breaking.

Personal principles are praised, but instead
Public Opinion is too easily led.
The muddy brained People must beg for its bread
bewildered by twenty-six cynics of lead.
They're so artificial, those bland bywords bred,
yet represent love signals, colour code thread.
Cold copy-writers our custom importune
composing cant catchwords to cull off our fortune.

Publicity [p]reaches wherever we tread,
an encroaching octopus tentacles spread,
pours bland inky blessings on all but the dead.
Standardization with all pretence shed
industry offers fat profits ahead,
as promise of status stands sales in good stead.

Cold creams and cosmetics, shampoos for the hair,
stimulants and sedatives, to each his share,
need needs be invented to spare us from care?

The sales pitch embraces those parts of the nation
accounting for most of mankind's consumation
according to up-to-date sales information
from market research data based computation,
women, the workers, the young generation.
Commitments increase as old scruples are shed.

Spring water purchased in neat plastic bottle,
sports car equipped with an elegant throttle,
all must be sold, unemployment to throttle.

With credit all waiting from wanting is fled
For the recession, combined with inflation,
threatens the structures of civilisation;
savings must shrink or we'll face confrontation
from all who would otherwise lack occupation.
New goods and services are stimulation.

Odd sorts, shapes and sizes, confuse, so its rare
that housewives, though willing, can truly compare;
that packaging costs more than product's unfair!

In many ways, I think that, while we've been remarkably violent in our media, there's been a real schizophrenia. In private, on the Internet, and on public-affairs shows or talk radio, we're way more explicit than we've ever been.

The Internet has exceeded our collective expectations as a revolutionary spring of information, news, and ideas. It is essential that we keep that spring flowing. We must not thwart the Internet's availability by taxing access to it.

Internet Terrorists

The internet is a lovely place,
with it you can make friends
all over the world.
You can travel with it to countries
you will never be able to see,
talk to their people,
and even make new friends there.

Like with everything,
there is good and bad.
You get a few who want to spoil it
for all the rest.
They call themselves jokers and such.
I call them internet terrorists.
They come in different guises,
spammers, and pornographers to name but two,
but the worst of the bunch
is the virus constructors.

We’ve all been hit,
maybe even more than once
by these terrorists of the internet,
and as each day passes
a new virus is produced
somewhere by there internet terrorist,
who just want to ruin every bodies lives,
and take away their enjoyment.

Why I am writing this,
my computer was stuck today
by one of these insane lunatic
and their silly games.
It is no fun waiting hours on end
for the anti-virus protection
to sort the problem out,
given to you by some faceless lout
called an internet terrorist.

7 Years

Its been seven years down the road
I got no more tears in me left to flow
When I did my baby wrong
She left me lonely for so long
Now Im out here all alone
Lord, wont you please bring my baby home
Chorus (x2)
Lord, wont you please...bring my baby home
Lord wont you please bring my baby home
It go one for the treble
Two for the bass
Used to mess with this girl
Way back in the day
She was from the pjs
And she went both ways
Yeah, the girl was a freak
I used to call her monique
And before I even speak
About knockin the boots
I say her name been changed to avoid lawsuits
So now we gettin down to the nitty of the gritty
She brought her friend around
And damn she was pretty
Betty was twisted
She said her number was listed
They grabbed my love two fisted
Hugged it and kissed it
They say one in the hand
Is worth two in the bush
But when shove came to push
Yo, I had my own theories
World series of love
Its two on one
Till I got caught with the smokin gun
His wife came home
And she bursted in
Now Im lookin for my heart
Like Im made from tin
The road that I travel
Aint got yellow bricks
My old woman jinxed
That all men are pricks
And she flipped the script
Shes puttin lip to lip
And every time I think about it I just lose my grip
cause Ive been up
And Ive been down
And Ive been fast
And Ive been slow
And Ive been square
And Ive been round
And Ive been high
And Ive been low
And Ive been cool
And Ive been calm
And Ive been kind
And Ive been crass
I held the whole world right in my palm
I tried to spread it around
But it sure went fast
Chorus
Seven years sure have flown by
I got no more tears and they are left to cry
When I did my sugar bad
I lost the best thing I ever had
And now Im out here on my own
Lord, wont you please bring my baby home
Chorus (x2)
Bring my baby home...

Love Has A Mind Of Its Own

Think about me and you
Think of all the changes weve
Been through
The laughter an the tears, the
Years together
Little did we both know
When we fell we gave up all control
Though times get hard
Were strong enough to carry on
cause
Love has a mind of its own
It moves in its own circles
And it roams where it will roam
Love has a mind of its own
It holds our lives together
Youre my heart, youre my home
(I) stayed awake last night
Told myself that this time we were
Through
That passion wasnt pair, my heart
Had changed
But then in the morning light
The feeling cut me like a knife
And then I knew
I couldnt walk away from you
cause
Love has a mind of its own
It moves in its own circles
And it roams where it will roam
Love has a mind of its own
It holds our lives together
Youre my heart, youre my home
We can drive ourselves so far apart
The world gets in between
Before you know, the distance grows
Till never we lose sight of the dream
But the wonder of it all
Is how love will survive
It never fails to keep us going
It never fails to keep us alive
cause
Love has a mind of its own
It moves in its own circles
And it roams where it will roam
Love has a mind of its own
It holds our lives together
Youre my heart, youre my home
Love has a mind of its own
It moves in its own circles
And it roams where it will roam
Love has a mind of its own
It holds our lives together
Youre my heart, youre my home

Whereever I May Roam

Wherever I May Roam
...and the road becomes my bride
I have stripped of all but pride
so in her I do confide
and she keeps me satisfied
gives me all I need
...and with dust in throat I crave
only knowledge will I save
to the game you stay a slave
rover wanderer
nomad vagabond
call me what you will
but I'll take my time anywhere
free to speak my mind anywhere
and I'll redefine anywhere
anywhere I may roam
where I lay my head is home
...and the earth becomes my throne
I adapt to the unknown
under wandering stars I've grown
by myself but not alone
I ask no one
...and my ties are severed clean
the less I have the more I gain
off the beaten path I reign
rover wanderer
nomad vagabond
call me what you will
but I'll take my time anywhere
I'm free to speak my mind anywhere
and I'll never mind anywhere
anywhere I may roam
where I lay my head is home
but i'll take my time anywhere
free to speak my mind
and I'll take my find anywhere
anywhere I may roam
where I lay my head is home
carved upon my stone
my body lie, but still I roam
wherever I may roam

Conversations With Tesla

The old grandfather clock on the living room mantle chimed 4: 00 A.M.
Awake but a moment, I rolled onto my side and went back to sleep.

A voice in the room said “Ray, are you still awake”?
Uh, yes I mumbled, just before I sat up in bed wide eyed.

In the corner of my bedroom I could see the outline of someone standing.

“Who are you? ”

The figure said nothing.

“Who are you? ”

In a low voice the figure answered, “My name is Nicola Tesla”.

“Wait just a minute; you died a long time ago”

“Death and time are subjective” he replied.

“What do you want? ”

“To speak to you about energy…unlimited energy”

“Why talk to me? ”

“Why not?

“Alright, so talk to me”

“I bring good news from the future”

“You died years ago and now you come from the future? ”

“Yes”

“So? ”

“Let me just say that mankind is in deep trouble”

“No kidding, tell me something I don’t know”

“As you know long ago I developed Alternating Current (AC) to help mankind use electricity to light up and power cities. After this I began work on transmitting electricity through the air over great distances, but my research laboratory was burned to the ground by your Government”

“Why? ”

“It was a matter of economics and business, as there was no way the utility company could make money from my free energy idea, so they shut me down.”

Tesla went on;
“I’ve come back at a critical time when wars are being fought over fossil fuels and when mankind is destroying air, water and world eco-systems. It’s time to re-introduce technology that will stop chaos and destruction.”

“Sounds grandiose.”

“Not really, just advanced science”

“Alright, so why are you telling me? ”

“Because you are one of many that care about planet Earth and that are willing to effect change through individual and collective action. By using the power of your computer, Internet access you can literally reach millions of people almost instantly.”

“This sounds great, but won’t they shut you down again? ”

“No, because the Government can no longer control mass communication, as the word will spread well before action can prevent our efforts.”

“How does this free-energy technology work? ”

“In order to understand this technology, one must delve into quantum physics along with personal intuitive abilities. Once fully activated the human mind can see, develop and build anything.
You see, one cubic foot of space is capable of unbelievable power. We have but to harness this power and transmit it to any place on earth through the air and through the ground.”

“Sounds dangerous”

“Not at all my boy, not at all”

“So when do we start? ”

“We’ve already begun by you listening, showing interest and a willingness to participate.”

“Sounds too easy.”

Tesla smiled, “Every journey begins with the first step.”

“So what’s next? ”

“First believe in the reality of free and unlimited energy, and then go within yourself with the intention of fully activating your brain and intuitive abilities.”
After this, I and others will speak to you as to how and when this will happen.”

Having said this, Tesla vanished.

I woke up later that morning asking myself, “Was the vision real or just a lucid dream”?

Before I could say anything, my wife yawned and turned toward me in bed and said;
“Honey, last night I had the strangest dream.”

I Am Like A Radio

in the morning
early to your loneliness
you turn on the radio
and it speaks about everything
from the latest news
to the rumors and in between
the ads to remind your senses
about some distinctions
between wants and needs
between luxuries and necessities
between utilities and wastes
and you listen
and numb your senses
on such hypnosis
you forget him
you junk love like an unnecessary
information

like a radio i speak to you
and you do not respond
but you are there
all the way
from five to ten.

you tell yourself
i do not need more trouble
in my wasted life.

The Media’s Choice

Lifted up high in the public’s eye, people no better than you or I,
On a platform they take a stand, conveying lies across the land,
Lifted high for all men to see, as an influence upon you and me,
Promoting things in God’s eyes, for all peoples is far from wise.

Men powered by the media elite, who from God shall see defeat.
Much of what these men broadcast, in God’s plan will never last.
What they broadcast may not be, truth conveyed to you and me,
For by the media they’re endued, to offer facts that are skewed.

Power from the god of this world, so it’s his lie that they herald,
Using the many network airwaves, Satan uses men he depraves.
All of those who never speak of, The Lord God, reigning above,
Thinking they know so much; in regards to God are out of touch.

Thrust into the media spotlight, espousing ways out of the night.
Things many believe are taboo, are forced on, both me and you,
By those with no morality within, to seduce this generation to sin.
Thinking they’ve outwitted God, while scorning His righteous rod.

Moving from His Eternal Word, their amorality is what is inferred.
Throwing off all moral restraint, the very souls of many they taint,
Those media chosen individuals, affecting a generation of souls,
Who in the end like you and me, shall face The Truth for Eternity.

Devils Radio

Devils radio
Gossip, gossip
Gossip, gossip
I heard it in the night
Words that thoughtless speak
Like vultures swooping down below
On the devils radio
I hear it through the day
Airwaves gettin filled
With gossip broadcast to and fro
On the devils radio
Oh yeah, gossip
Gossip, oh yeah
Hes in the clubs and bars
And never turns it down
Talking about what he dont know
On the devils radio
Hes in your tv set
Wont give it a rest
That soul betraying so and so
The devils radio
Gossip, gossip
Gossip, gossip
(oh yeah) gossip, (gossip) oh yeah
(gossip) oh yeah, (oh yeah) gossip
Its white and black like industrial waste
Pollution of the highest degree
You wonder why I dont hang out much
I wonder how you cant see
Hes in the films and songs
And on all your magazines
Its everywhere that you may go
The devils radio
Oh yeah, gossip
Gossip, oh yeah
Runs thick and fast, no one really sees
Quite what bad it can do
As it shapes you into something cold
Like an eskimo igloo
Its all across our lives
Like a weed its spread
till nothing else has space to grow
The devils radio
Can creep up in the dark
Make us hide behind shades
And buzzing like a dynamo
The devils radio
(gossip) oh yeah, (gossip) oh yeah
(gossip) gossip, (gossip) gossip
Oh yeah, gossip I heard you on satans wireless
Gossip, oh yeah you know the devils radio, child
Gossip, gossip

Reading Stephen O’Brien, stating radio and
television are advised by governing bodies
to treat clairvoyance skeptically as
pure entertainment

Preventing the unthinking public from considering
its far-reaching claims, a public made up of
disciplinarians whose freedom has been
taken away

All held prisoner in the underground bunker of
their mind’s dungeon - the media providing

Polluting Politicians

the beauties that GOD has given
makes this life worth living.
you see his beauties every day
it is something that won't wash away.
and to him i do pray.

we pray to you with all our might.
for a little bit more of 'insight'
open the eyes of the public
so that they can see.
that we must leave something
to future families.

we must give the politicians a time frame
and have them stop playing these games
the games is whats destroying this nation.
let's get them to work for future generations.
of global warming they all speak
but when they have the bill in front of them
they just take a peek.

we are destroyong this world
from the inside out.
'is this what lifes about'?
we are polluting our streams, rivers
and oceans too.
how much more are we going to do?

our streams used to be crystal clear
now to look- we must take fear.
tires, cars, metals of all sorts
are lying in the rivers and streams.
let's pick them up and get them clean.

they are sinking battleships in the oceans
and they claim it's to make reefs?
take these ships and recycle the metal
to be used for our future generations.
if you don't want retaliation.

scientists are already seeing
that in a few more years, we won't be breathing.
we are taking all the oxygen from the air.
is'nt that something that we should 'fear'

pollution has gotten so heavy and thick
that's whats making the public sick.
it's time to turn this earth around
so future generations can be found.

let all the politicians know today
that we want to live a better way.

I Will Always Need Your Love

In the book of my life
Till the day that it's through
You know most of the pages belong to you
Every interesting chapter
Every twist, every turn
You're my willing accomplice to the lessons
I've learned
Till the end of the story
I'll be riveted
And when I write my dedication I'll say
I will always need your love
Wish I could write it in the daily news
I will always need your love
It would be very hard to fill your shoes
I will always need your love
So many ways that I depend on you
I will always need your love
No one else, no one else, could love me like you
You know all of my faults
Every strengh, every quirk
You can dictate a handbook on the way that I work
Many towering hurdles
You've helped me climb
What was already great is even better with time
You've discovered each secret
Every fantasy
The only thing I really need you to see
I will always need your love
Wish I could write it in the daily news
I will always need your love
It would be very hard to fill your shoes
I will always need your love
So many ways that I depend on you
I will always need your love
No one else, no one else, could love me like you
I will always need your love
Wish I could write it in the daily news

Life is unavoidable

Watching Television
While surfing internet
Having cooked meal
While drinking wine

Answering to mobile
Seeking through the window
Sitting near the table
Everything is happening

Looking at the mixed slate
Writing something on a paper
At the same time
Six organs are working

Something somewhere else
Out of within these
Never fulfilled
Far beyond the scenery of life
One by one
Switched it off

Time for the space
Space for the time
Cannot realize the difference

Deep burden
A vacuum in mind
Putting alongside
Mind decoys
And went to the bed
Because of the morning is unavoidable

Time Out

Running in the human race
round in circles
No sense of time and space
Or who we are
Let me pour some water in your wine
Lets talk about the future
We should have better things on our minds anyway
No time for words
No time for wars
Its high time we work it out
No time for fighting
No time for tears
Somebody tell me what its all about
We could be making the best of the night
But all we do is scream and shout
Time out ..... for love
Lovers on a battlefield
A house divided
Eyes that pierce like maked steel
Through the heart
Come lay your wounded body down
And talk about the future
Throw your weapons to the ground
Before its too late
No time for words
No time for wars
Its high time we work it out
No time for fighting
No time for tears
Somebody tell me what its all about
We could be making the best of the night
But all we do is scream and shout
Time out ..... for love
No time for words

Awakening The Senses

Coming to my senses
I see the lovely being of space and time!
Beautiful the whole and each inner individual design!

I hear the breathtaking echo of song!
Billions of bells ringing sound truth!

I feel the shifting sway
cosmic vibrations
true selves emerging
releasing themselves
to the beat of a new dance!

See the many Sentient compassionate pillars
revolving towers of consciousness
daily lighting anew
Steady waves of illumination cast upon the earth!

I taste the full flavor of the air and every
mouth through which it has passed!

I smell home cooked redolence!
the world a wide oven of open arm
ardent embrace!
I Taste the age old recipe passed down
shared and spread
conscious manna delivered fresh
from the celestial kitchen!

I feel the shared recognition
unifying presence
see the common dawn of the divine ideal!

I see and feel the love exchanged
via internet connections
kindred spirits all corners of the globe!
I see it too everyday in the smallest transactions
waiting in line at the corner convenience store!

I see the discovery of resplendent new senses!
Far advanced beyond any modern body of perception!

I see a future great with promise!
Beyond convention superstition
past calendars and presuppositions!
