So along with several very popular Internet sites, talk radio has served as alternative media that gives listeners information that they otherwise would not hear.

In many ways, I think that, while we've been remarkably violent in our media, there's been a real schizophrenia. In private, on the Internet, and on public-affairs shows or talk radio, we're way more explicit than we've ever been.

Popular
I've got a plan to make it rich and famous
Lucky for me, for you it's a bitch you ain't in,
My plans are slowly changing,
Fame is so contagious
Chorus
I'm willing to sleep my way to the top,
I wanna be pop-ular,
I don't wanna keep my feet on the ground,
I wanna be popular
I must confess,
I've been a ve-ry bad boy,
Been sleepin around,
Talk of the town,
My name is
Hol-lywood will beckon,
E-veryone will listen,
Play my video hear me on the radio,
Dancin to the disco no one ever says no
Chorus
I'm willing to sleep my way to the top,
I wanna be pop-ular,
I don't wanna keep my feet on the ground,
I wanna be popular,
I'm willing to sleep my way to the top,
I wanna be pop-ular,
I don't wanna keep my feet on the ground,
I wanna be popular
My friends are all in Limousines
My friends are all celebrity
I Just Sold My Soul
Play my video hear me on the radio,
Dancin to the disco no one ever says no
I'm willing to sleep my way to the top,
I wanna be pop-ular,
I don't wanna keep my feet on the ground,
I wanna be popular,
I'm willing to sleep my way to the top,
I wanna be pop-ular,
I don't wanna keep my feet on the ground,
I wanna be popular
My friends are all celebrity
My friends are all in magazines
{ Play my video hear me on the radio,}
I'm willing to sleep my way to the top,
{Dancin to the disco, no one ever says no}
I wanna be pop-ular,
{ Play my video hear me on the radio,}
I don't wanna keep my feet on the ground,
{Dancin to the disco, no one ever says no}
I wanna be popular,
Are you willing to sleep your way to the top?
Do you want to be popular?

Turn The Radio Up
C'mon everybody open
Up your windows
Turn on the music
Turn on the music
When I feel that this old world
Is just to hard to bear
People comin' at me left and right
Day and night
Here's the thing I do
Turn the radio up
Hear the melody
Turn reality down
There's too much talk about blues
To much of the time
Turn the radio up
Hear the harmony
Turn the ngative down
Turn the radio up
Everything will be find
Worryin' don't do no good
So throw your cares away
Come on people life's too
Short to stay
Hey hey
Everybody now
Turn the radio up
Hear the melody
Play it all over town
There's to much talk about blues
Turn the bulletins down
Turn the radio up
Hear the harmony
Don't 'cha be so profound
Turn the radio up
It'll turn you around
Don't give in
No matter what they say
Out with the negative
You find the positive way
Hey, hey, hey
Turn the radio up
Up with harmony
Pandemonium down
There's to much talk about blues
All over this town
Hey, hey, hey
Turn the radio up
Hear the melody
Don't you be so profound
Turn the radio up
It'll turn you around
Turn the radio up
Turn the radio up
Turn the radio up

Radio Song
Hey, I cant find nothing on the radio
Yo! turn to that station
The world is collapsing
Around our ears
I turned up the radio
But I cant hear it
When I got to the house
And I called you out
I could tell that you had been crying, crying
Its that same sing song on the radio
It makes me sad
I meant to turn it off
To say goodbye
To leave in quiet
That radio song
Hey hey hey
Ive everything to show
Ive everything to hide
Look into my eyes
Listen
When I got to the show
Yo ho ho
I could tell that you had been crying, crying
Its that same sing song, and the dj sucks
It makes me sad
I tried to turn it off
To say goodbye my love
That radio song
Hey hey hey
The world is collapsing
Around our ears
I turned up the radio
But I cant hear it
Yeah
I tried to sing along
But damn that radio song
Hey hey hey
Ive everything to show
Ive everything to hide
Look into my eyes listen to the radio
I turned up the radio
But I cant hear it
No, I cant hear it
Hey hey hey
Check it out
What are you saying
What are you playing
Who are you obeying
Day out day in?
Baby baby baby
That stuff is driving me crazy
Djs communicate to the masses
Sex and violent classes
Now our children grow up prisoners
All their lives radio listeners

The truth is clothed
We don’t talk what we want to talk.
We tailor it to suit the listeners.
Listeners changed, the talks would differ.
We clothe the truth with matching lies.

It's American Alternative radio stations that bug me. We're considered Alternative, but don't expect us to be played next to Blink 182 and Offspring. We're hardly of that generation.

Injection Sites
They claim that mandatory drug sentences are too expensive,
And keeping criminal drug addicts in jail could be offensive,
And injection sites on all streets would be a much better way,
They despise the mandatory drug sentences used in the USA.
Their ability to fill pages in the media should be noted,
The fact that criminals buy stuff on the street is sugar coated,
With half the alphabet after their names to prove that they are right,
Are we a Canadian herd of sheep being led out of sight?
And they can hide behind the Access to Information Act,
While politicians slide and the dressed up Supreme Court detracts,
Activists use the phrase “Harm Reduction” to justify their cause.
While waiting for their followers and the media to applause.

Radio Ga Ga
Words and music by roger taylor
Radio Id sit alone and watch your light
My only friend through teenage nights
And evrything I had to know
I heard it on my radio
You gave them all those old time stars
Through wars of worlds - invaded by mars
You made em laugh - you made em cry
You made us feel like we could fly
Radio
So dont become some background noise
A backdrop for the girls and boys
Who just dont know or just dont care
And just complain when youre not there
You had your time you had the power
Youve yet to have your finest hour
Radio
All we hear is radio ga ga
Radio goo goo
Radio ga ga
All we hear is radio ga ga
Radio blah blah
Radio whats new?
Radio someone still loves you
We watch the shows - we watch the stars
On videos for hours and hours
We hardly need to use our ears
How music changes through the years
Lets hope you never leave old friend
Like all good things on you we depend
So stick around cos we might miss you
When we grow tired of all this visual
You had your time you had the power
Youve yet to have your finest hour
Radio
All we hear is radio ga ga
Radio goo goo
Radio ga ga
All we hear is radio ga ga
Radio goo goo
Radio ga ga
All we hear is radio ga ga
Radio blah blah
Radio whats new?
Someone still loves you
Radio ga ga
Radio ga ga
Radio ga ga
Radio
You had your time you had the power
Youve yet to have your finest hour

Portable Radio
Words: j. oates
Music: j. oates, d. hall
Take your pick of the modulation
Like a kid in a candy store
Its a hand-carry situation
Made for lying on the beach
Or dancin in the streets
You got your pertinent information
Or you can tune in to hear the scores
Theres a power in a million stations
You cant ignore
Radio
Crank up the power
Radio
Rock it for hours and hours
Radio
Play it soft and low
Viva la portable radio
Turn up the power all night
Well I dont wanna hear no static
And I dont wanna hear no jaw
Put them platters on automatic
I cannot get enough
Got to give me more and more
Play some soul for the congregation
Rock n roll for the kids next door
Charge up your batteries across the nation
Viva la portable radio
Its x-static

Popular..
Many teenagers think
That being popular should be with the way you dress
The way you walk
The way you attract the boys
And the way you make the noise
Many teenagers think
That being popular is by the way you treat the others with full disrepute
Or by being very thin and cute
Many teenagers think
That being popular is all about the way you talk about the others
Or if you’re wearing a silky top or shoes made out of leather
Many teenagers think
That being popular is by despising the quiet ones and making fun of the weird
And also to show that they can never be scared or feared
Many teenagers think
That being popular is by showing of your new jeans and vest
And many teenagers think
That being popular is a way to prove that you are the finest and best.
