Flow need not 'know
FLOW NEED NOT 'KNOW'
Abstract seems role-reversal, wrong
tack, off the tracks, emotions vented,
sore, flawed, unscored or scorning song,
cacophany to be prevented.
Flow need not 'know', for verse glows strong
with dream domain's home-truths presented.
Blank rant is rarely found among
felicities that Chance has scented,
blooming spontaneously along
lightwaves braving represented
barriers, blocks, constraints headstrong.
Brain's hard disc must be defragmented.
Talent - too misrepresented -
mistrusts far edge bars implemented.

Flow need not 'know'
Self tack take back or Right brain wrong
reacts with rant, emotions vented,
while Left behind scene stitch scores song
which out of tune may be prevented.
Flow need not 'know', for verse glows strong
if from within the truth's presented,
thought's rarely random, caught among
the lines of inklings Chance has scented,
should bloom spontaneously along
lightwaves braving represented
barriers, limits, blocks, constraints headstrong.
Brain's hard disc must be defragmented.
Talent - oft misrepresented -
mistrusts emotions implemented.

FROM INK TO INKLINGS
From ink to inklings visions flow
to stitch life's tapestry and sow
seeds which obscurity reject
as search for light owes slight respect
to monochromes which seldom show
more than man thinks he needs to know
or throw as viewpoint to reject
the inklings others' inks project.
So when one writes on rags to glow
upon a screen ensure thoughts throw
no jealous shadow yet protect
true principles few should forget.
Concluding couplet signs a smile
to mystic storm's intense sense style.

Rhyme Rant on Prose Rants
RHYME RANT ON PROSE RANTS
Prose which with capitals would rant
against pet hate, for favoured cause
is often filled with fatal flaws,
or pays attention far too scant
to harmony, stays ignorant
of rhythm which enhances, draws
skein polychrome. Its pointed jaws
restrict free scope increasing cant,
seldom perceived as elegant.
True poet purity implores
to etch, to sketch, to open doors
upon perspective which prose [r]ant
encounters rarely where it roams
on well trod trails of barren tomes.

Let It Flow
Another wave has arrived
Being funk is so surprise
Welcome the world of xtc
When the funk takes over me
No need to try to run away
The funk will find you the mail today
Its best if you relax your soul
Grab someone, take the floor, let it go
Let it flow, let it flow, let it flow(whatd you say)
Let it flow, let it flow, let it flow(in your heart and in your vein)
Let it flow, let it flow, let it flow(free your mind)
Did you ever make it stop?
Feel it groovin hard within
Body is shakin and heads in sea
Why would anyone dare to deny it
Funk is fine, dont try to fight it
The funk is the epitome
Let it flow, let it flow, let it flow(whatd you say)
Let it flow, let it flow, let it flow(in your heart and in your vein)
Let it flow, let it flow, let it flow(free your mind)
Did you ever make it stop?
Dont you part with it
I devoured it
You can work with it
You can part with it
Satisfaction guaranteed
Giveem folks what they need
What you need is indeed
A little funk from ev
Now hit me
Sounds so funky, youd agree
Funky divas in 3-d
Let if flow
Did you ever make it stop?

Slack Time Lacks Time 1846
Here in and out near roundabout, hear Way
ignores straight, narrow card, finds flawed hard facts,
as each is all, all each, reach interacts
through, to, from, on infinite interplay
as cause, effect teach dreams deem night is day,
to ease time's flow whose band frees, sand subtracts
increasing reel of what it really lacks.
Confusion fusion kneeds, speeds need's delay,
rules schools of thought distraught have sought 'til grey,
discourse on glass half full, half empty's tacked
on city zen by banknote billfold backed,
or country bumpkin stirring curdled whey.
Mistakes may break steel lock which bars advance,
this makes hay, take real stock, hitch stars add chance.
With space-time curved, the universal flat
falls flat, dissenter from some centre point
that Euclid and/or Ptolemy appoint,
cat's whiskers once, hats raised, now rats if that,
congrats withdrawn, lines drawn, échec et mat.
For left brain thinking feelings would anoint
for right brain feelings thinking out of joint,
both arguments my lie, vain tit for tat.
Thus innings outed, bowler, bales, ball, bat
appearance superficial disappoint,
bend from seen, scene end, blending through flashpoint
into new nano actors acrobat.
Diversity evolved from RNA
whose building blocks evolved to, through the Way.
Where give is thought the opposite of take
much sloppy thinking blots mind's copybook.
When men hold 'have' has 'have not's' goals mistook
or misconstrue time's fractal pattern break,
reason turns treason which may overtake
those stating 'blessed divest', for deeper look
acknowledges most knowledge ledger book
according role-reversal status shake
to compensate for narrow ways must wake,
admit to false awareness, flow whose brook
stems from wishful thinking gobbledygook,
where void taps stream, avoids dream, traps. At stake
appears true understanding Search per se
trains mind to stray from straight line, find, perch weigh.

From the Banks of Ganga: IV
I sit by your banks
In awe of your flow
A parallel flow within
Watches every ripple:
Indefinable happiness
Peace is absence of
Even a ripple of thought
What follows peace is bliss
I suppose…
Loitering and searching
The best place to meet
The loved one is by
One's own banks of the heart
Where flows Gangs of love
The flow overwhelms me
Doesn't allow me stretch my hand
For the other…
I'm unto myself!
So you flow
So do I
Not against your tide
But with your flow
Flow Flow Flow!

My Sixteen Month Sabbatical
My sixteen month sabbatical,
“From what? ” ~ I hear you say.
From writing poetry ~ I tell you,
As another, I write today.
‘twas on 24th February 2009,
I wrote my 500th poem,
And on 24th June 2010,
Ever onwards I am going.
Why can’t I put my pen down
And lead a poem-free Life?
Why must the words flow once again
When rhyme and scan I write?
I struggle with my thoughts now,
No nonsense must I pen,
What is the theme of this one
I ask myself again?
My poems can be abstract,
They can be of my Faith,
Of views I’ve seen and Memories,
And of the time that I’ll not waste.

Sores And Defects After Charles Bukowski Cause And Effect
Going through emotions' motions
the worst seldom die by the hands of others
often get off lightly,
rile those left behind
can seldom pick up the pieces,
sore, ask why so few
succeed in escaping
from
mental defects
Cause and Effect
The best often die by their own hand
just to get away,
and those left behind
can never quite understand
why anybody
would ever want to
get away
from
them:

Let It Flow
(a. bell / v. clarke)
What about the good times:
They were few and far between.?
Thats the understatement of the year.
Some would call it passion,
But it means a lot to me.
Lifes little joke is coming clear.
And that is:
Stronger than strong, wider than wide,
Deeper than deep, higher than high.
Old is love, any love is fine.
Let it shine, let it flow.
Let it flow through me.
Old is love, any love is fine.
Let it shine, let it flow.
Let it flow through me.
You got twenty-twenty vision,
When walking down the street.
Theres a fool on every corner,
Standing by.
Nearly midnight and nothing here for me.
Guess I have to wait til the morning light.
And that is:
Stronger than strong, wider than wide,
Deeper than deep, higher than high.
Old is love, any love is fine.
Let it shine, let it flow.
Let it flow through me.
Old is love, any love is fine.
Let it shine, let it flow.
Let it flow through me.
Old is love, any love is fine.
Let it shine, let it flow.
Let it flow through me.
Old is love, any love is fine.
Let it shine, let it flow.
Let it flow through me.

Leman Lemon Relativity
LEMAN LEMON RELATIVITY
May 'rose' today, tomorrow symbolize
All once pomegranate represented?
Unthorned, unexpected rose' demise,
Destiny preferring lemon scented?
Eternity bears witness as time flies
Many former meanings are repented
As generation challenges, defies,
'Universal truths' plinths uncemented.
Defining lemon love we recognize
Evolution, ever discontented,
Modifies, old favorites downsized,
As newer fight for light misrepresented,
Unsatisfactory in any guise,
DEfinitions, reputations dented.

Polyacrostic Palimpsest - Laugh, Share Magic 1873
Lift upward drive, laugh to share dream on stream,
Ail not, new dare oils pro-active vast flow.
Unspent talent lilliputians nowhere know
Gut triumph speeds, new light tells growth may gleam.
Hid heart-flow free, reap strong exalting theme.
Shining mind-share, where all rare spirits grow,
He, trustful, teaching, special harvests sow,
As scope one's way shows, hope, no scrappy scheme
Reacts to take back stray heyday insight's beam.
Each must shine, more, unite for talents glow
May offer useful growth, autonomy show
Assuring this, grey past taos to light's dream.
Gauge this echo. If sonnet sets free soul,
I come to you, sing on, heart aspiring whole.

Where Did I Go?
Where was I, where did I go?
From this site where many know
A room so empty, but words did flow
Leaving behind a message of poetry I know.
I am back into my world where expressions last
A new begining that grows so fast
So once again let your emotions flow
Give it a meaning and take it slow :)

You know Id spend my life with you
Share all the dreams I have with you
Do you wanna see my cry
Do you wanna see me die, do you
I find it hard to face the day
I find a bar and dream Ill pay
Do you wanna see my cry
Do you wanna see me die, do you
Flow river flow, and carry me home
Flow river flow, and carry me home
You know Id spend my life with you
Share all the dreams I have with you

When it dosen't flow,
When the Dam's backed up,
When the mind reels from constapation,
You find yourself wondering
Is this it?
Is this the time when the talent,
if any,
stops?
You'll never spill words upon the page again,
You'll never bleed out this raging torrent
of simile's, metaphor's and hard owrn
cliche's from the veins
and into exsistance.
Left forever to choke
like a hanging man
upon all these bitter emotions,
these moments of apathy,
these day's of euphoria
left to force the air
from your lungs
with no foreseeable outlet.
Your breathing becomes short, laboured,
the sweat from your forehead
start's dripping from your palms.
What if you've
nothing left too say?
What if you never did?
What if this sudden paralyasis
last's forever
leaving you blindly groping
for a justifaction
for your exsistance.
Dear God
what if you're
just normal.
Then the letters on the page
form into words,
the words fall into lines
and before you know it
you're back at the beginning.
The poems written
and the World is set to right's.
When it doesn't flow,
When the Dam's backed up,
When the mind reels from constapation,
A fearful ego
is the greatest
laxative of
all.
From The Banks Of Ganga: XIII
Sitting by the Ganga
On a significant evening
She whispered into my ears
It's your belief in me
It's the value you give me
I'm not little more than that
I'm not little less than that
You're the cause
You're the consequence
I'm a mere witness
To your flow…
The flow within left me in flood
Her flow without smoothened my being
I sat in the flow
Clutching at the flowing support

Misrepresented People
In 1492 you came upon these shores.
Seven hundred years, educated by the moors;
17th Century-- genocide and the gun
Middle Passage blessed to market the Africans.
In the so-called Land of God??
My kind were treated hard.
From back then until now
I see, and you agree--
We have been a misrepresented people.
From back then until now
Just see my family tree;
We have been a misrepresented people.
We have been a misrepresented people.
19th century-- slavery destroyed.
Soldiers who fought and won
Whats known as nigger-boys??.
20th century-- with freedom in my hand,
We invent ideas
Which helped us save a land,
But while I prayed to God
My moms and pops got whored.
From back then until now
Youll see our history;
We have been a misrepresented people.
From back then until now
Just see my family tree;
We have been a misrepresented people
Yes, we have been a misrepresented people.
1969-- Black power's at the door.
1982-- Hop-hop was on the floor.
1992-- Gangsta crack prevailed.
1999-- Our colors filled the jails.
It is through the grace of God
That we all were not scarred.
From back then until now
We see no comedy;
We have been a misrepresented people.
From back then until now
Were we still a mystery;
We have been a misrepresented people.
Yes, we have been a misrepresented people.
Though we march across time,
A sea of victories,
We have been a misrepresented people.
From back then until now
You know we made you grow;
We have been a misrepresented people.
We have been a misrepresented people.
From back then until now
We see our destiny
To never be a misrepresented people.
Yes, we march across to time to free
A melody
To never be a misrepresented people.
No you must never be a misrepresented people.

Poetry
Yes, I shall swear by you, my verse,
I shall wheeze out, before I swoon:
You're not a tenor's shape and voice,
You're summer travelling third class,
You are a suburb, not a tune.
You're a street as close as May,
You're a battlefield at night,
Where clouds groan loudly in dismay
And scatter, when dismissed, in fright.
And, splitting in the railway's lace-
That's outskirts, not refrain and home-
They crawl back to their native place
Without a song, as if struck dumb.
The shower's offshoots stick in clusters
Till break of day, and all the time
They scribble on the roofs acrostics
And bubble up rhyme after rhyme.
All poetry is what you make it.
And even when the truism's not worth
The rhyme, the flow of verse is scared.
The notebook's open-so flow forth!

(V – 2010) Emotions
Emotions sometimes flow as cascades!
Sometimes, dropp by dropp they drip
As does water from a broken pot!
Sometimes they stay unstiring, still
As water in a stagnant pond!
Emotions sometimes, as fireflies, flicker!
Sometimes they keep flaming fine
As steady as a candle flame!
Sometimes they flare up suddenly high
As the blaze of a burning torch!
Emotions sometimes colour our lives creatively!
Sometimes they stir a spoonful of hues
To the cup of our daily little joys!
Sometimes they splash colours bright and thick
Upon the dark monotony of our dreary days!
Emotions sometimes play a music enchanting!
Sometimes they strum a silent tune
Upon the veena of our tender hearts!
Sometimes they beat the drums hard and fast
And let our minds and lives go rocking!
Emotions make us dark and bright!
They keep us warm and cool!
But unless kept under our reins
The roost it will, oh, rule!
Emotions make us stand and move!
They keep us soft and sound!
But unless kept under our reins
Our ruin will be, oh, found!
Free Flight
Free flight despite dark devils of this world
needs no fixed wings, but inner flag unfurled
as emblem which no blame need stitch to show
in, out, high, low, both back and forward flow
depend on balance, yin and yang uncurled
together twining, gilding inner glow.
