Ally Online, All Lie Online, Ali Lion Line Dream Theme
Every verse acts as shell for fair moral, a skel
eton which we expand when councilling,
wanton worries dispel, [we can scan well and spell],
as transcendent end line links reel illing.
Far from grey citadel against which most rebel,
care for nor tinker's curse nor verse shilling,
Lyonnesse dreams on well, Camelot's chains repel
beneath tropical sun oh so grilling!
Lady lion's large jaws are well used, like her paws,
with gazelle and striped zebra sent spilling,
then she rampantly roars, rips raw prey with sharp claws,
primal urge surges merge, show flesh willing.
In the main, lacking mane, her earthshaking refrain
gives the lie despite spry timbre so thrilling.
Hale, with pride by her side, she sets male pride aside,
with her siblings invests in best killing.
Every night by lush well loud flush larynx will swell,
while at jungle rill thirstily swilling,
yet all know very well that it shows lioncel
how to act, an example instilling.
She prowls nightly, can bell, howl with high decibel,
or else growl, which sends shivers spine-chilling,
but by day to keep well she sleeps deep for a spell,
takes time out from rude clout food instilling.
Kith and kindred all find feline mother is kind,
especially to rub cubs a-milling,
though stay out of the sight of her mate or he might
take a fancy to you for her filling!
Lioness' dreams we tell, [here in verse we excel,
truth from falsehood intent on distilling],
Al de Vigny's words well depict snell lioncel,
a-dreaming by rocks, no cavilling.
Yellow leo won't dwell in a fixed forest dell,
often hunts from from den, then treed hilling,
tone rich bellowed yodel yell's so mellow, ne'er fell,
to deep bass from soprano so thrilling.
Lion's online dreams spell catnip banquet, heads swell
using rhyme scheme's repetitive filling,
feral fears deep sleeps quell, snooze savannah's farewell
to cares, where welfare rare fair fulfilling.
Feline brain cells dispell human kind who'd compel
well read carnivores to a dire drilling,
for their instincts impell to green pastures as well
as red meat, chase's sweep leaps, prey stilling.
Readers' doubts we'll dispell, wit harsh critics refell
on papyrus scribe skillfully quilling,
there is no tocsin knell, toxin soujourn in hell,
lion teams' sweet dreams seem self-refilling.
Here apt moral we rend, which from start until end
in its heart shows dreams' beams make all willing
to take time out to blend, fact and fancy, amend,
all misfortunes, find dream time idylling!

ANDROCLES AND THE LION
Every verse acts as shell for fair moral, a skel -
eton which we expand when councilling,
wanton worries dispel, (we can scan well and spell) ,
through transcendent end line linking illing!
Lordly lion’s large jaws are unused, like his paws,
'til his lady striped zebra’s sent spilling,
then he rages and roars, rips raw prey with sharp claws,
but it's mostly to show flesh is willing.
In the main, mighty mane and earthshaking refrain
give the lie - ‘spite his timbre so thrilling,
for with pride by his side he can set pride aside,
letting others continue the killing.
Every night by lush well loud flush larynx will swell,
while at jungle rill thirstily swilling,
yet all know very well ‘tis to show lioncel
how to act, an example instilling.
One should prowl nightly, bell, howl with high decibel,
or else growl, which is simply spine-chilling,
while by day to keep well one should sleep for a spell,
as hot tropical sun is too grilling.
So we feel all should find feline father is kind,
especially when cubs are a-milling,
though stay out of the sight of his mate or she might
take a fancy to you for her filling!
There’s a story some tell, (here in verse we excel) ,
truth from falsehood intent on distilling,
of a slave, Androcel, and a snell lioncel,
those retracting the facts are cavilling.
Yellow leo once dwelt in a duned desert dell,
often hunted from den to treed hilling,
till with bellowing yell on sharp ratchel once fell,
deep wound sent harp tuned voice a-shrilling!
From fore-pad Androcel pulled sore spill, soothing swell,
using prehistoric penicillin,
feral fears swiftly quelled, they as friends said farewell,
thus Destiny’s wishes fulfilling!
Between Mount El Carmel and the vill of Bethel,
where years later his travels were willing,
on his way it befell footpads armed with cudgel
ambushed him in the midst of their pilling!
In the old citadel, powerless to rebel,
he was sold as a slave for a shilling,
vain resistance to quell, for free, bold, chains repel,
impelled him into ‘ring’ for a grilling.
He was cramped in damp cell near ramped ‘rena roundel,
where dread carnivores daily were drilling,
there rough romans compelled him, ret, short-sword as well -
hope he'd no intention of stilling!
When it came to his turn he was thankful to learn
that the beast there that held the star billing
was the one once infirm, thus thereafter he'd earn
laurel leaves from the Praetor, Virgilling!
Androcles' doubts dispelled, death decree soon refelled
on papyrus scribe skillfully quilling,
cancelling tocsin knell, toxin soujourn in hell,
echoed sounds of carousing, refilling.
People praised the marvel - ‘twas before chimed church bell -
or they’d soon have been cheerf’lly carilling,
everyone would revel with sweet simnel, sardele,
to timbrel’s touch gaily quadrilling.
Here apt moral we rend, which from start until end,
in its heart says all men should be willing
to be civil to friend, mend each ill, make amend,
then existence will be just idylling!

Author notes
Although this is shown as a double mirrored retourne the poem has been framed so as to alternate each and every line within any given stanza... although only in four cases can the acrostic palindrome EMIT TIME run throughout.
The Mirror effect enables the poem to be read top down TIME or bottom up EMIT - The Retourne is of course only mirrored in the mirror if one reads bottom up.
This offers a possibility of 4 x 4 x 12 x 64 combinations

Oriental Sadness
(ransford)
How soon tears begin to tumble
From her laughing eyes
Shes been talking to somebody
Who told her lies
Shell never trust in anybody no more
Who told her lies
Shell never trust in anybody no more
How can I begin to reach her
Let her know the truth
What that someone has been saying
Is only lies
Shell never trust in anybody no more
Its only lies
Shell never trust in anybody no more
How could she think that i
Would take advantage of a girl like her
How could she think that i
Would sacrifice all I have felt for her
Would sacrifice all I have felt for her
Like a flower she is fading
Soon shell wilt and die
If she doesnt get the sunlight
That I can give
Shell never trust in anybody no more

Incompleteness
Verse cannot completely trace
one fair reflection where the light
leaves an impression of such grace
that words, found wanting, seek insight
to reunite with spirit bright,
yet every line links to disgrace
when compared, when second sight
seeks to satisfy both pace
and sense of fitness which replace
the commonplace that must indict
the great part of the human race,
read here both truth and envy's spite.
Yet who'll, on reading this, believe
here's no intention to deceive?

Johnson, alias Crow
Where the seasons are divided and the bush begins to change,
and the links are rather broken in the Great Dividing Range;
where the atmosphere is hazy underneath the summer sky,
lies the little town of Eton, rather westward of Mackay.
Near the township, in the graveyard, where the dead of Eton go,
lies the body of a sinner known as “Johnson alias Crow”.
He was sixty-four was Johnson, and in other days, lang syne,
was apprenticed to a ship-wright in the land across the Rhine;
but, whatever were his prospects in the days of long ago,
things went very bad with Johnson—Heinrich Johnson (alias Crow).
He, at Eton—where he drifted in his age, a stranded wreck—
got three pounds by false pretences, in connection with a cheque.
But he didn’t long enjoy it, the police soon got to know;
and the lockup closed on Johnson, lonely Johnson alias Crow.
Friday night, and Crow retired, feeling, as he said, unwell;
and the warder heard the falling of a body in the cell.
Going in, the warder saw him bent with pain and crouching low—
Death had laid his hand on Johnson, Heinrich Johnson, alias Crow.
Then the constable bent o’er him—asked him where he felt the pain. Johnson only said, “I’m dying”—and he never spoke again.
They had waited for a witness, and the local people say
Johnson’s trial would have ended on that very Saturday;
but he took his case for judgment where our cases all must go,
and the higher court is trying Heinrich Johnson (alias Crow).

Moral excellence comes about as a result of habit. We become just by doing just acts, temperate by doing temperate acts, brave by doing brave acts.
Down The Line
(orbison)
Well you cant be my lovin baby
You aint gotta style
Im gonna get some real good love
Gonna drive those cool cats wild
Im gonna move, move on down the line
Wanna get some love, a love thats truly fine
Oh Im gonna show you a-way so hot
Im gonna get what you aint got
Shell be cool, shell be wrong
Shell be cool and twice as strong
Gonna roll roll on down the line
Wanna get some love, a love thats truly fine
Why! come on now
Break
Yeh, move on down the line
Wanna get some love thats truly fine
Shell be cool, shell be long
Shell be cool and twice as strong
Gonna roll, roll on down the line
Gonna get some love, a love thats truly fine
Oh lets sing it again one time now
Break
Yeh, move on down the line
Wanna get some love thats truly fine
Shell be cool, shell be long
Shell be cool and twice as strong
Gonna roll, roll on down the line

Moral Fiber!
true moral fiber...
is grounded in respect!
respect yourself!
respect the earth!
respect your neighbor!
(everyone is your neighbor)
respect the search for truth.
respect justice!
respect the rights of human beings
to be human beings!
respect the need of each and all!
living thus...
will not allow you to respect,
acts of injustice,
acts of ignorance,
acts of prejudice,
acts of greed!
be respect!

Rudyard Kipling Parody - Writers' Real Mirror Reflection Reel
With inside out, and out, surprised, inside!
When penning verse whose end may, too, begin it,
When rhyming reel with real can coincide
Yours is the world and everything that’s in it
If you can write without cash motivation,
Self-righteousness avoiding like the plague,
Create consensus round an innovation
Embraced by all without appearing vague.
If you can scan, span logic to emotion
Set constant course from vested interests clear,
If you can ban all untoward commotion,
While conscience clings to all that it holds dear,
If rhymes may improvise, spurn prose redrafted,
Communication keyed to catalyze,
You'll find to your surprise that you have rafted
On stream it seems when wit reverse dream tries
----

If rhyme may improvise, spurn prose redrafted
While conscience clings to all that it holds dear.

Creation
Creation plays upon your power
To keep it under control,
To give it line to think it's king,
To call it a day and reel it in.
It plays upon your love
To keep you under control,
To give you line to think you're king
And always on a roll,
To call it a day and reel you in.

Shell Never Know
In the after-silence
Fighting leaves behind
I try to think it over
But my minds gone blind
I lost the right to argue
Somewhere down the line
I had to tell
She told me to
Go to hell
And here I am
In the gaping hole
Home truths tear in a home
Married to this hurting
I know its all my fault
Who can tell
Looks like we have
A house to sell
Now shell never know
What anyone could tell her
Now shell never know
What anyone can see
Now she wont believe me
Ever again, completely
Now I hang around
Feet back on the ground
I just cant stand
I just cant stand
Now shell never know
What anyone could tell her
Now shell never know
What anyone can see
Now she wont believe me
Ever again, completely
Now shell never know
Or ever dream
How much she means to me.

End Of The Line
(graham russell)
This will take some understanding
I believe someone is sending love to us and everyone
Who cares to take a gamble sometimes
Think of me Ive given all I can
Stretched an arm and open hand to you
So never say no
Thats the end of the line
Thats the end of the line
Thats the end of the line
Thats the end of the line
You I need, always needed, dont turn back for any reason
First we talk and then we fall headfirst into each others thinking
Please be where Ill always see you, life is short
The twinkle of an eye is all we have until we say
Thats the end of the line
Thats the end of the line
Thats the end of the line
Thats the end of the line
Take me away, take me away
Take me away
Do you dream fantasy and believe what you see is weird
I need a remedy or a book to get off this fear
All I wanted to know is how do I get the truth from here.
We play so small a part
But we started from somewhere
All the friends that I can think of
Know whats going to happen to them
If they dont think on today and plan ahead for their tomorrow
Here we are just lucky children breaking out of the shell
Ill take your hand today and love you till we reach
The end of the line
Reach the end of the line
Reach the end of the line
Reach the end of the line
Take me away
Take me away
Take me away
Thats the end of the line
Thats the end of the line
Thats the end of the line
Thats the end of the line

A Reeling For All
My students reel under the burden of new knowledge!
Whereas I stuff their minds with my old fables.
I read out a verse of Auden or Tagore
And begin to think of a great poet remembered.
But my students continue to reel under the Sun
Of new opportunities in the next phase of theirs.
My students of past are now in tens of thousands
Making dollars in the land of the kangaroos below the Indian Ocean
And beyond the Atlantics where the War mongers live in fear.
They reel under the clouds of new packages and amenities.
My voice is down, my energies are fading and
I reel under an agony `WHICH IS UNKNOWN TO THEM`.
My new students take an outh that 'they will not',
That 'they will not reel under the SUN of past'.
They whisper into my ears the glory
Of the emerging India - a new land of newer billionaires
And ask why they should make voyages now
As the new packages and amenities are great in the land of
Gandhi too - the land of three hundred million have-notes.
My new students whisper into my ears a new poem
I don`t know its script, nor do I know its rhyme and rythum.
I don`t know the poetry of the present.
But I know it for certain, you all bet
All are reeling under a thing or another
For there are always verses to spill over times.

Finest Gift
Verse one
She can shop all over town, turn the gift
Shops upside down
Finding something for her man with everything
But its right behind her eyes and no matter what she buys
Shell always be the finest gift she brings
Chorus
Every year its never missed, should be at
The top of every list
It can never be outdone, its the perfect
Gift for everyone
Verse two
Its in everything youll see scattered
Underneath our tree
You can hear it in the carols that we sing
Its the heart of loves design and it
Appreciates with time
And shell always be the finest gift she brings
(repeat chorus)
Verse three
Now its not in any store and she could
Never give me more
Then her promise of the finest gift she brings
I know her loves the finest gift she brings

Venus' Advice To The Muses
Thus to the Muses spoke the Cyprian Dame,
Adorn my altars, and revere my name.
My son shall else assume his potent darts;
Twang goes the bow; my girls have at your hearts.
The Muses answer'd Venus, We deride
The Vagrant's malice and his mother's pride:
Send him to nymphs who sleep on Ida's shade,
To the loose dance and wanton masquerade:
Our thoughts are settled, and intent our look
On the instructive verse and moral book.
On female idleness his power relies,
But when he finds us studying hard he flies.

Thy Wanton Hair
THY WANTON HAIR
Thy wanton hair
Thy dimpling cheek
How humble is the mien
Of the meek
To question me, thee and others
Well, nature is rich
In all its hue
Dainty. doubling mumbling and fair
Not the stuff that time outwears.
