Remembering Henry David Thoreau's The Moon
she signs herself in
and out of the sky
a vast domain she
has with her kins
the stars and the one
who surreptitiously
showers on her his glory
to keep the key to
her throne a secret
she takes a new signature
each day to her coveted seat
from a round lamp
to a bright sharpened sickle
to harvest the fields
so punctual is she
with her presence
she has been akin
to a heavenly calender
through her signature
the ancients learnt the
cycle of things
lunar lunar calender
to remember
the start of war
the end of war
the union, the parting,
the reunion
the conception
the new born,
the death anniversary
a story, sad or happy,
to sign in every new moon
into our life

The full-orbed moon with unchanged ray
Mounts up the eastern sky,
Not doomed to these short nights for aye,
But shining steadily.
She does not wane, but my fortune,
Which her rays do not bless,
My wayward path declineth soon,
But she shines not the less.
And if she faintly glimmers here,
And paled is her light,
Yet alway in her proper sphere
She's mistress of the night.

Time wears her not; she doth his chariot guide;

Inspired by Issa - Harvest Moonn
harvest moon -
the field flying
with broken stalks
harvest moon -
no more loud sighs
from the windy fields
harvest moon
thanksgiving incense
trails over fields
harvest moon
the garden echoes with plan
for the next season

harvest moon-
some are stretched out
some praying

Happy Valentime Day
so it's valentine day
so the calender did say
you pick up roses
on your way
and a big chocolate heart
to help plan your night
not a bad way to start
you even lit the fire light
getting the mood ready
along with soft music
cause it's valentine day
so the calender did say
so you put on your red tie
she wears her red dress
you both dance real close
not wanting the night to die
cause it's valentine day
so the calender did say
as you both go upstairs
following a pool of roses
you both go upstairs
without a care
letting your love
take it from here
so it's must be
valentine day
so the calender did say
so happy valentine day

Moon Light
Moon Rises High Into The Sky
The Moon Is Gray
The Moon Is Bright
The Moon Is Full
Every Night The Moon Comes Out And Goes Down.
The Moon Shines Onto The Earth.
Brightens My Path.
I Look at The Moon And Say 'Moon Light Moon Light Bright My Path As You Shine My Way'
The moon Looks down And Shines My Path.
I Walk To The Pond And The Reflection of The Moon The Moon Is Beautiful And Bright.
The Moon Will Never Disappear.

The Harvest Moon
the yellow moon,
the colour that i could never get right
in my art class
well who can
it is never really yellow
and when you add white
it loses its luminosity
full moon
well when it is full
it is never round
if you look casually at it
it bulges at one side
with a tiny star twinkling at its side
a little child crying to be carried
but who cares except the round moon
poetic moon as poets would write
whether it is or not
the little child that would soften their poem
never given its recognition
lazy bones are always copycats
and they get the world messed up
with their inaccuracies, self conceitness
the moon,
the next door amateur witch
gives it a dose of evil
chanting archaic verses for a love charm, bag of luck
and a spirit in the wild
the moon that boosts my spirit
with its innocent roundness, a softness of a girl's buttock
maternal's light, and the ways it slims, fattens, slims, wanes
signs itself in and out of the sky

The Harvest Moon
The flame-red moon, the harvest moon,
Rolls along the hills, gently bouncing,
A vast balloon,
Till it takes off, and sinks upward
To lie on the bottom of the sky, like a gold doubloon.
The harvest moon has come,
Booming softly through heaven, like a bassoon.
And the earth replies all night, like a deep drum.
So people can't sleep,
So they go out where elms and oak trees keep
A kneeling vigil, in a religious hush.
The harvest moon has come!
And all the moonlit cows and all the sheep
Stare up at her petrified, while she swells
Filling heaven, as if red hot, and sailing
Closer and closer like the end of the world.
Till the gold fields of stiff wheat
Cry `We are ripe, reap us! ' and the rivers
Sweat from the melting hills.

Poem about Poetry - when poetry comes
when poetry comes
a full moon pulls
at the sea
the mind's
flooded
with ideas
the nile
overuns
its banks
and a page
flows
and
shines
with lunar
wisdom
and blessings

On Fields O'er Which the Reaper's Hand Has Pass'd
On fields o'er which the reaper's hand has pass'd
Lit by the harvest moon and autumn sun,
My thoughts like stubble floating in the wind
And of such fineness as October airs,
There after harvest could I glean my life
A richer harvest reaping without toil,
And weaving gorgeous fancies at my will
In subtler webs than finest summer haze.

Brigitte
The Modern Olympic Games,
Manifested through the routes of the Gods!
So brace yourself to the troubles ahead.
Brigitte my friend,
We have the Julian Calender hanging in our rooms;
But it is part of the Roman Empire handed over to us.
Instead of the Lunar Calender,
We have the Roman Calendar!
For the Spring Time which started the year is now,
Changed to to January which is still Winter! !
All the same, the just will live by the faith.

Sonnet: Our Life On Earth
The Moon is shining less brightly than 'fore,
And seems to fade behind thick clouds that sail;
Its dim outline too fades with time much more;
The ghost-like Moon appearing truly pale!
But not for long, the Moon is back whole-size;
The clouds that blocked its view have gone away;
The Moon is shining once again- so nice!
The night now looks as if it has turned day.
Our life on earth is like the Moon and Sun;
Its joys and sorrows wax and wane till death;
Sometimes, our life is full of vigour, fun,
To some like stars remain until last breath.
This is the way things happen on earth Man,
And changing them altogether, none can.

Tribute to the Moon
Moon in your glorious moment
What a nice bright moon tonight,
With the big and round moon torching light on me
Crescent, Half-Moon, Full moon, Blue Moon
Make no difference as thee always the same
The dull night blush as usual
The lunar light streams as usual
Enlighten all the mankind with your light
Steer them away from the greed
Steer them away from the lust
It seem so long ago.
When i am tiny, repeatedly amazed by your splendor
Moon... Moon...
Listen to my plea..
Come to me..
Wash away all my worries.
Wash away all my sadness,
For thee only release me from all the stress
For thee only bring peacefulness to my life.
Absorb me in your luminescence
Light my life with thee.

To ----, in obscurity
In full-orbed splendor now the queen of Night,
Among the stars walks in her pride of place,
And how again we miss that flood of light
That overflowed the azure fields of space.
But though her brightness meets no more the gaze,
As in her wonted orbit she declines,
Yet not extinguished are her silver rays, --
She shines in shadow, but not less she shines.
Soon will she rise again upon the sight,
Passing the darkened shape that bids her wane;
Then shall we see her, in unclouded light,
Take her own place among the stars again.

War (But The Moon Shines Bright)
Gunfire
Screams
And the moon shines so bright
Many soldiers
Many troops
And the moon shines so bright
Your best friend
Shot
And the moon shines so bright
His last words
'Tell my wife I love her! '
And the moon shines so bright
Tears in your eyes
Why happen such things?
And the moon shines so bright
So many dead people
War is horrible
But the moon shines bright
The whole horrible night

Love of moonlight
Moonlight soft as down filled pillows
Cool as spring water washing over my face
filtered through the nets of weeping willows
Scattered beams… through prisms of lace
Rays of radiance, round ruffs and edges
Of clouds that scurry, to keep apace
Puddles of buttermilk, on ground and hedges
Moonlight phantasms of lunar grace
moon glow… with halo, aura of gold
Light worshipped by werewolves and covens of witches
Both bane and blessing…in lore of old
Light that has no need of man or of switches
Light that can be reaped from fall’s harvest moon
Light to be enjoyed by moonstruck lover
Light that has music, like a happy… or blue tune
Moon light is unique…quite unlike any other
Moonlight’s a mystery, yet I love it so
Moonlight has the power to charm and delight
while some people scoff, at moon’s golden glow
Others… like me, are swept up at it’s sight

Awed by her splendor
the sun is to me
as the dog is
a delight
the moon is to me
as the cat is
an intellectual challenge
the first light of sun
blazing through copper sky
it's so comforting
refreshing
to mind, heart and soul
harbinger of hope
the unrestrainable
friendliness of the dog
- it oozes with licks
and unstoppable wagging of tail -
first thing at morn
take the worries of the day away
he moon, the moon
its subtle lumininous light
of spiritual and intellecutal bearing
is like the cat
that orchestrates its every movement
in calculated steps
eyes dilating in half, crescent and full crystals
see how it prances like a ninja
when attacking its target
how it gently licks its paws and
legs after its hearty meal
to raise a clever child
get her to admire the moon
as it signs in and out of the sky
each day of the month
in crescent, half and full
inspired by
Awed by her splendor
stars near the lovely
moon cover their own
bright faces
when she
is roundest and lights
earth with her silver

Drinking with One Heart
The moon brightens up the Mid-autumn Day,
And we have entered the Mid-autumn Day,
But silent, Chang E leans on rails pining away.
The Rabbit works persistently on magic drug,
Trying to help lonely Yi up the moon and hug.
People envy the moon as it can get round,
While the moon people’s reunion all around.
In turn shines the sun and moon, the stars surround.
Busy, celestials exchange toasts on the height,
With the most agreeable tone circling at night.
Circling at night,
Holding cups right,
We feel elated with the moon shining bright.
At the top we raise the glasses same,
The successes we got soon come to fame.

Try this to kill Your Pain (any pain including cancer)
The moon glows
in bright yellow
The moon takes in all my pain
to glow in bright yellow
The more the pain
the greater the strength of its glows
The moon comes a-calling
first peeping
through the window
then takes leave
from the sky
roll from the tree,
and over the window
to the table and to my bed circling softly round
comforting my head
taking in all my aches
encasing them all in her
round body
The more it take my torments
The brighter it becomes
till my pain is now
a bright great mersmerising moon, rolling, rowing
over my whole physique
a mom taking all care, bearing all sins
to make sure her child is in full ease
the moon, with each
throb of my pain
it increases in its brighteness
the moon with each
throb of my pain
it increases in brightness
giving my life
a new lease of hope
taking away all my aches

Moon Shadow
Starmlight, star...
...bright on the ground,
the moon shines its
on its mother
planet
Black is now bright
showing the snowshoe,
and the valley stag
rustling through night
Creatures flea for safety
as the moon seizes the
souls of those who get
caught in its rays
The moon ceases its
dictatorship, but fight for
the right...
dawn.
bright,
light
Shining its radiation
through the night, eating
away the hate
the moon is gone... for
now
