Ode to Morn

dawn has woken up
throwing its coat of arms
across our beds and nudges
each of us to come out of
slumberland with its fingers of light

it has started to clear a blackboard
of stars and moon so that they
go hiding under its bossom to take
refuge in the glory of a new day

the moon tired after a night
of sentinel work is showing
her palid face as dawn slowly
walks her out of her place of work

the birds up the volume
of their sweet takes, adagio
that heralds the crescendo
of a new day, icing icream over dawn
as light and warmth twirl and swirl to us
all the way from the bossom of the sun

the cool air like a friend seeks
our mind and heart to refresh
so that they radiate charm
and help us ride into another day
with new vigour and vitality, honey
and apple in a glass of juice

nothing in the day gives as much
splendour and promises as morn
rejuvenating tonic of a mountain spring
the sun slowly rises onto its stage
with full respect to give each and every
character a reason to shine and smile

Early Morning, The

morn
things burst
from within me
the ocean wave
the cries of seagulls
sweep of vapours
those few twinkling stars
and the shiny planet
that slowly loses itself
in the glare of daylight
in me a flower blooms
the day that slowly dawns
light inches itself into me
the way the petals slowly
spread themselves out
welcoming each day
gracing it with such beauty
each of my acts i make sure
would make the day worth it
my heart slowly blooms
like the roses every new day
every mistake, a sting on the petal
by an unwelcomed ant

A total lunar eclipse poem

total darkness on a wedding night
except the flickering candle that
plays out out his anxiety to take
a peek of the moon (bride)
the sun (father) has afforded him

he would tilt the veil to let the light
of a hundred moons shine through her face
he would look at her the way an eclipse has
cleared the path for the moon to shine
the full moon that turns into a crescent
to be shrouded in his bossom so that
it glows a warm and sweet orange

and she will peek into his face the way
the eclipse reveals the secrets of the full moon
first a crescent and then its full splendour,
a husband at last to light the way to her future days

###in the old days in China a man would only know how his wife looked
like on the wedding night and vice versa. the eclipse looks very much
the way a chinese man tilt the veil over the head of wife as he takes a peek of her face.

Sunrise

(eric carmen)
Sunrise, shine down a little love
On the world today
Make a morning so sweet
That itll have to chase my blues away
Oh, the moon and stars have gone
And I can see the light of dawn
Like a golden smile
Brightening up the brand new day
Sunrise, come wrap me in the warmth
Of your crimson sky
I spent a long time believin
In a dream that had passed me by
But the moon and stars have gone
And I can see the light of dawn
Like a golden smile
Brightening up the morning sky
From my bed I can hear the world outside
I get up, throw my window open wide
Take a breath of that fresh air
Take a breath of that fresh air
Fresh air
Sunrise, shine down a little love
On the world today
Make a morning so sweet
That itll have to chase my blues away
Oh, the moon and stars have gone
And I can see the light of dawn
Like a golden smile
Brightening up the brand new day
Brand new day

Never is she shut #never is she shut

You are my Sun.
You are now set.
You brought me dawn
Everyday at ten.
You sent me dusk
Everyday at five.
Weekend two days,
You left me in dark.

You shone on me for brief,
But heavily, brightly
And deeply with warmth.
That referred warmth
Spread all the night.
I felt the shine of my Sun,
Off the dusk, at full night.
My night is brightly lit.

Now my sun is set.
Where is my dawn?
Where is my dusk?
Where is the sunny day?
Where is my beauty?
Who will there be to lit
My night-full day?
And dreaded night?

You be a Moon, now on.
Waxing and waning,
Be always on horizon
So that there comes
Once a while a full-moon,
To imbue me with life.
My day-less night
Is lit with Moonlight.

You be my stars, farther.
You twinkle and twinkle
At me high from horizon!
With your news, beckon!
With your heart, command!
I am in the bath of starlight.
My night-full day is lit.

My sun, though, is set,
No dark is there at night.
She is there as Moon.
She is there as Stars.
Though she is set as Sun.
I’m now a nocturnal.
She can never be set
Out of my heart and soul.

Another Day

Wake not the dawn too early,
Let night remain a while,
It's painful to face another day,
Without your loving smile.

Wake not the dawn too early,
Let night hide me away,
So I need not face another day,
Having had no communique.

Wake not the dawn too early,
Let night my sweet refuge be,
For having to face another day,
Would be sheer agony for me.

Wake not the dawn too early,
Let night my dreams suffuse,
How can I face another day,
When my heart cannot enthuse.

Wake not the dawn too early,
Let night be my stalwart shield,
Then maybe I can face another day,
When my sadness has been healed.

Dark Becomes Dawn

Dark as pitch - Dawn spreads light
Dark as dead - Dawn expires graves
Dark withers - Dawn freshness wears
Dark un-paths - Dawn re-strides.

Dark dapples gray - Dawn paints days
Dark specters doubt - Dawn assuredness' gate
Dark limitless plain - Dawn corrals night
Dark swifts shadows - Dawn hastens un-obscures.

Dark dissolves pace - Dawn zeniths one's range
Dark devours - Dawn sun rises
Dark bends down relief - Dawn uplifts sight
Dark dismantles - Dawn scatters golden arrows.

Dark de-flames - Dawn matches day
Dark invisibles - Dawn globes light
Dark unfolds dark dreams - Dawn un-sanctions screams
Dark submissively retires - Dawn crimson splendor.

Darkness of the night, engulfed the day light

Darkness of the night
Engulfed the day light
The moon
Came from behind
The mountains
Showed its shining face
Showered cool light
The Sky was full of
Twinkling stars
My first
Meeting with her
Came to my mind
I could now see
Her beautiful face
In front of my eyes
I prayed
To the almighty
Do not let the moon
Go away
Let it stay forever
So that I keep on
Seeing her
Mesmerizing beauty
Throughout my life
My prayers remain
Unanswered
As night passed by
The moon slowly slipped
Behind the mountains
Giving way to sun light
Like all other moonlit
Nights
She vanished
Left me
Lonely and crying

Mother Dawn

Hold me, hold me
Breathe the light into me
Hold me, hold me
Mother dawn
Mother dawn
Dancing round the fire
Circling the flame
Listen to the shadows calling out my name
They say
Rock me like a baby
Cradle me in the light
Bathe me in a rainbow
Sun restore my sight
Hold me, hold me
Breathe the light into me
Hold me, hold me
Mother dawn (all night long yeah)
Hold me, hold me
Breathe the light into me (all night long yeah)
Hold me, hold me
Mother dawn
Look into the light
Come and take a journey through the land of night
Darkness strokes the face and
Steals away the sight
Night is all around me
Stars are in my hair
I feel them tangled in the secrets well
Find hidden there all right
Reaching through the madness
To the other side
Where the sun is rising
With her arms held wide
Hold me, hold me
Breathe the light into me
Hold me, hold me
Mother dawn (all night long yeah)
(till the dawn light comes)
Hold me, hold me
Breathe the light into me (all night long yeah)
Hold me, hold me
Mother dawn (all night long)
(I know youre gonna love me)
(I know youre gonna love me)
One star flew against the tapestry of the night
And the earth revolved in perfect symmetry
To a symphony of sun
The moon danced its final bow
As the birth of day
Exploded
In my eyes
Reaching through the madness
To the other side
Where the sun is rising
With her arms held wide
Rock me like a baby
Cradle me in light
Youre gonna bathe me in a rainbow
And the sun restore my sight
Hold me, hold me
Breathe the light into me
Hold me, hold me
Mother dawn
Hold me, hold me (all night long yeah)
Breathe the light into me
(till the dawn light comes yeah)
Hold me, hold me (all night long yeah)
Mother dawn (I know youre gonna love me yeah)
I know youre
Gonna love me
All night long yeah
Till the dawn light comes
All night long yeah
I know youre gonna love me love me
All night long yeah
Till the dawn light comes
All night long yeah
I know youre gonna love me love me

Power of the Night Star

The sun has set
The sky dusky brown
To remember you all night
I have that much right
To think about you all night
I have that much right
To worry about you
To care about you
All throughout the night
That is my right.
The sun sets down
And out goes the light
The world wears a gown
And sleeps all the night
For I also sleep, in my every heart beat
There is a dream for all that i keep

My night is prolonged
But dawn will come
Our faith love adorned
And spiritual distance not torn
At last my sun shall shine and rise
Oh all, lay down your heads
Close your tired eyes
Listen to loves lullaby
Aside your worries
Every moment happy
Sweetly sleep tonight.
In the night the moon shines light
And stars brighten up the sky
Your presence a star for me, Your smile
In this dark night we live out our life
Your guidance, You show us the right
The path on which with you we ride.

Fire In The Sky

All alone in a sleepless night
Passing time with a runaway moon
talkin' to myself
Wishing I was somewhere else
It's been too long since I held you girl
Twice a thousand miles
But my heart won't beat alone
I need the love I left behind
Hold back the dawn awhile
This will all work out
Don't let this dream die
There's a fire in the sky
It's like the light in your eyes
Thinkin' of you
And I won't give up till your in my arms
Never give up till what's lost is found
Won't give up on your sweet, sweet love again
Now the night is dark with diamonds
And I'm standing inside the rain
Giving up your love
Was the worst mistake I made
There's a sound I hear in the distance
Seems it's calling out my name
Well I'll pay most any price
I just hope I'm not too late
Turn back the clock awhile
Things will all work out
That's what the dream is all about
There's a fire in the sky
It's like the light in your eyes
Oh, it's true
That I won't give up till your in my arms
Never give up till what's lost is found
Won't give up on your sweet, sweet love
Turn back the clock awhile
Things will all work out
That's what the dream is all about
I see a fire in the sky
Just like the light in your eyes
Thinkin' of you
That I won't give up till your in my arms
Never give up till what's lost is found
Won't give up on your sweet, sweet love

Hold Back The Dawn

I wish all the time
that I could hold back the dawn,
so we could spend more hours together,
before once again from my arms
you are gone.
I wish the night would never end,
with you under the moon and stars,
and the harsh reality
of going back to work
would never come.
That we could rest within each other’s arms,
never having to let you go.
Oh, how I just wish,
that I could just hold back the dawn.

A Moment To Remember

A moment to Remember

This night is too beautiful to behold, moon and silence. My heart aches.
Know I will wake up at dawn and regret that I can’t take it with me.
It will all be erased one day and I shall not know that I ever lived. I have
nothing, cannot own anything but my own ageing body, all I can do is to
enjoy the rare moments of fulfillments. I hear a plane high up see its light,
full of passengers going home and back to work. Why would anyone want
to leave this place? Across the road, in a darkened house, a man lies dying
racked by pain he can’t even shave himself. He sees not the full moon.
My life consists of moments, not like takes at a film studio that can be done
over and over again till it’s right. Some moments are too sad to behold.
Do not think of this now, I will drink another cold beer, smoke a cigarette,
look at the stars and dream.

Walt Whitman

When I Heard At The Close Of The Day

WHEN I heard at the close of the day how my name had been receiv'd
with plaudits in the capitol, still it was not a happy night
for me that follow'd;
And else, when I carous'd, or when my plans were accomplish'd, still
I was not happy;
But the day when I rose at dawn from the bed of perfect health,
refresh'd, singing, inhaling the ripe breath of autumn,
When I saw the full moon in the west grow pale and disappear in the
morning light,
When I wander'd alone over the beach, and undressing, bathed,
laughing with the cool waters, and saw the sun rise,
And when I thought how my dear friend, my lover, was on his way
coming, O then I was happy;
O then each breath tasted sweeter--and all that day my food nourish'd
me more--and the beautiful day pass'd well,
And the next came with equal joy--and with the next, at evening, came
my friend;
And that night, while all was still, I heard the waters roll slowly
continually up the shores,
I heard the hissing rustle of the liquid and sands, as directed to
me, whispering, to congratulate me, 10
For the one I love most lay sleeping by me under the same cover in
the cool night,
In the stillness, in the autumn moonbeams, his face was inclined
toward me,
And his arm lay lightly around my breast--and that night I was happy.

Stars in the night

Stars in the night,
Shining so bright,
Accompanying a moon,
Which always seems so alone,

Why can't we be like that,
And cut the cobwebs that,
Weakens the human bond,
Makes us feel alone is strong,

Arrogance and ego,
Negligence or so,
Are the cobwebs around,
Pathetic as they sound,

But this true,
For all of us,
We follow them all,
No matter dawn or dusk,

We join the stars,
With imaginary lines,
But can’t join our hearts,
With emotional signs,

A shooting star naturally leaves the sky,
Saying goodbye to all,
And fulfilling our wishes nice,

But we forcefully kick out our stars,
Our Mom and Dad,
Out of the house,
‘Coz spending few bucks on them,
Seems too bad,

We even make our friends,
Using our brain and not heart,
Don’t even mind breaking relationships,
For our good sake and part,

We see the sun,
Giving moon it’s light,
So that we see in the dark,
And moon looks beautiful and bright,

But this way,
We’ll never be,
‘Coz we kick a man downstairs,
So that “he’ll never be as high as me”,

We also grab somebody’s light,
So that we can shine more bright,
And give others darkness of failure,
‘Coz, for us,
Hard work was never an option better,

We see the moon in the dark night,
But never see the reasons behind its beauty and light,
The stars make it look flawlessly white,
‘Coz even it has holes,
If you have a close sight,

So promise yourself to be like these stars,
The sun,
Always helping others to stand,
And even making your own position,
Behave like human,
And not machines,
Make connections with heart and not brain,
And understand each other’s feelings….

Seven And A Half Hours

Enthralled in his easy chair of desire
He ever slowly unbuttons the night
His wanton fingers fumble to work the zipper
At last, opening up-an uninhibited delight!
He caresses the evenings small talk
While embracing midnights heaving breasts
His hands grasp the moons glimmer-shimmer
As very early morn continues to undress!
He rises again from his easy chair
And proceeds to deep kiss the pre-dawn
With knowledge that desire knows no bounds
When inhibitions are all but gone!
Relishing the tangy flavour of the hours
Of a night and early morning of foreplay
Clearly his piquant predilection
Is exposed to the dawn of new day!

Sweetie, Moon and The Sun Moving Strangely!

Sweetie, Moon and the Sun moving strangely!
Since I travelled far away working for a living
Busy when the hot Sun rushed through the day
I failed to pick flowers for sweet Sweetie
Sun gave the night to the cool moon
But the moon is too slow in the sky
Slow when thoughts go to my sweet Sweetie.

Tonight I want to sleep so that I don't notice the darkness
Dark outside and dark inside my heart
Because sweet Sweetie's presence would have brightened it
But I see emptiness of sleep in darkness
Not filled by my books and work
Sleep is fleeting like snowflakes, untouchable
As my heart desires my sweet Sweetie

How lovely is sweet Sweetie when asleep?
I pray that the moon will push the night
That the sun runs slowly during the day when I am busy
That the moon moves faster at night to lessen desire
Desire for her welcome hug and kiss
When sweet Sweetie comes to her place in my arms
The Sun and Moon should stop in bliss!

The Lyrics of MoonLight

The Sun is Majestic, holding sway
over land, seas, and skies
defining each Day
in Horizons of Bright Colours
a Peacock's Feathery Display

As the Heavens gather in the colors
and darken the sky
a choir of stars slowly appears
serenading the Sun's departure
with the Music of the Spheres

The Moon glides in
owning the night

Singing a Concert
to Lovers gleaming
under the reflected light

the Moon sings to these Hearts
dancing to the Rhythms
of the Moon's Tidal Force

The soft percussive tidal effects
ignite the emotions
upon which a soul reflects
empower the spirit
to discover its own course

The Lyrics of Moon Light
seen in the blush of a face
felt in the warmth of an embrace

The Lyrics of Moon Light
the voice to a soft caress
the joy of God's Loving Grace

The Lyrics of Moon Light
persist in the heart
as the Moon commands the night stage
a grand opening on Broadway, no
the gentle turn of a lover's diary page

A Song Of Spring

The Spring comes slowly up this way,
Slowly, slowly,
Under a snood of hodden grey.

The black and white for her array,
Slowly, slowly,
The Spring comes slowly up this way.

Where is her green that was so gay?
Slowly, slowly,
The Spring comes slowly up this way.

Unto a world too sick for May,
Slowly, slowly,
The Spring comes slowly up this way.

Where are the lads that used to play?
Slowly, slowly,
The Spring comes slowly up this way.

She has no heart for holiday,
Slowly, slowly,
The Spring comes slowly up this way.

The trees are out in Heaven they say.
Slowly, slowly,
The Spring comes slowly up our way.

Dust Moon

How long have I been running far far away from you
As many miles as I've gone
Still the darkness comes on
There will be a crimson moon tonight

Dust moon rises...your face haunts me so
Dust moon rises...sanity leaving me soon
I still see your blood on the face of the moon

Your face haunts me, nothing clear now
Dust moon has risen
Bloody, mocking moon
Daylight seems lifetimes away, eternal midnight
Keep running away
Dust moon has risen...haunting me so
Dust moon rises...sanity, leaving me so soon?
I still see your face on the blood of the moon

And when the dust moon rests his weary head
And the sunshine begins to rise
Will I still be here or will I be dead
Is the dawn of a new day just a lie?
