For Pity's Sakes
Oft in the stilly night, I wake
for no reason apparently.
Then I recall each past mistake
that I have made regretfully.
A self inflicted punishment
for wrongful deeds which I recall
Some hurt I caused without intent.
The guilt I felt still lingers yet.
I fall asleep eventually
my guilty conscience satisfied.
Allows me to sleep peacefully.
My past misdeeds are set aside.
I can’t deny I made mistakes
so do we all for pity’s sakes.

Night thoughts pour M'sieur Savin
Night thoughts
The night is still I sit alone
with just my thoughts for company
I marvel how the years have flown
and view the past regretfully.
On looking back I clearly see.
Decision which I made in haste
were often taken foolishly.
Mistakes which left a bitter taste.
Caused hurt to others needlessly
There is no way to transfer blame
It’s my responsibility.
I was a novice at life’s game.
Is all I offer in defence
Like all young men I knew it all,
which does not lessen my offence.
My conscience insists I recall.
The things I did which I should not
and things I didn’t do I should.
The minor sins I had forgot.
I sit alone in pensive mood.
I am a man no more no less
Not wholly bad or wholly good
A subtle blend of both I guess.
A sudden change of attitude.
I realise I’m not unique,
that every body has regrets.
I find the peace of mind I seek.
My conscience mollified quiets.
The pearly light of early dawn
dispels the darkness easily.
I start the day with hope reborn
forget the night hour’s misery.
I cannot claim to be perfect
Freely acknowledge I am not
nobody is. I must accept
I thought I was when I was not.

I felt that I ostracized myself by my behavior, by the past, by living with all the regrets of my mistakes, that I sort of wore a hair shirt and beat myself up most of the day thinking and regretting why did I make such a mistake? Why have I made so many mistakes?

I regret it
I regretted it through out the day
It was never my style or way
Still it was not short of blunder
Rain too expressed displeasure with thunder

Inwardly I felt something had gone wrong,
I felt so much isolated for long
Not at ease to breathe and sing a song
Weakness surfaced and made me weak from strong,
Something I did which my conscious did not allow
I should have acted wise but did not follow,
Carried away by temptation which shouldn’t have been?
Shown so much enthusiasm as if I was so keen
It is making me nervous
Reason may not be true but obvious,
I never fall in trap any time previously
As I was claimed to be taking everything seriously
No one has seen my guilt
It is mechanism in built
Any good and gentleman may feel its pulse

The best laidplans gang aft agley Storypoem
I planned her demise carefully
I was quite sure that it would be
accepted as an accident.
Which left me looking innocent.
I thought I had made no mistakes
but I made one that’s all it takes.
One single shred of evidence
destroyed my claim to innocence.
I should have sued for a divorce
that would have been the wisest course.
Though it would not have satisfied
the hatred festering inside
Caused by the mental cruelty
to which she had subjected me
So I devised the perfect plan
to rid myself of this woman.
My only thought revenge is sweet.
I truly thought in my conceit
That I would get away Scott free.
But fate had other plans for me.
My home is temporarily
a hospital I am not free.
I can still smile I am content
her punishment is permanent.
I was adjudged incompetent
of forming murderous intent
The lawyer who defended me
convinced the judge successfully.
That though I caused my wifes demise
I was too ill to recognise
That killing her would be a crime.
My mind abnormal at that time.
I have no reason to complain
I know that I am not insane
That very soon the powers that be
will certify my sanity.
Although my plans went all awry.
The price I pay is not too high
At last I am well rid of you.
It was well worth it in my view.

Forgive Me for Being So Good
Lord, forgive me for my pity
For the vagrant and the homeless.
I should have given them a home
Instead of indulging in my finer feelings.
Lord, forgive me for compassion.
What good are lotus flowers to the suffering?
If I deny myself, do I not deny others?
Their cravings will cease when I give them bread and potatoes!
But I was seduced by the purity of my thoughts!

Castles Made Of Sand
Down the street you can hear her scream
You're a disgrace as she slams the door
in his drunken face
And now he stands outside
and all the neighbors start to gossip and drool
He cries oh girl you must be mad
What happened to the sweet love you and me had
Against the door he leans and start a scene
and his tears fall and burn the garden green
And so castles made of sand
fall in the sea
eventually
A little Indian brave who before he was ten
played wargames in the woods with his Indian friends
And he built a dream that when he grew up
he would be a fearless warrior Indian chief
Many moons past and more the dream grew strong
until tomorrow he would sing his first war song
and fight his first battle
but something went wrong
surprise attack killed him in his sleep that night
And so castles made of sand
fall in the sea
eventually
There was a young girl
whose heart was a frown
'cause she was crippled for life
and she couldn't speak a sound
and she wished and prayed
she could stop livin'
so she decide to die
She drew her wheelchair to the edge of the shore
and to her legs she smiled

my past made me not trust completely
wasn't able to trust anybody fully

When we talked you promised
That you would never leave
Then I told you of the demons
And how they made me bleed
I made you promise crazy things

That brings the constitution...
Out of areas that have been shaded.
And degraded by those who interpretated it...
To fit their needs,
While the majority of people have been ignored...
By thieves,
And their deceitful misdeeds.
There will be a united nation done!
Many will not accept,
What for them comes.
The future is more global,
Than anytime before.
And those with beliefs they are superior over others...

As their racist tactics will end.

Feelings Felt Deep And Personally
Some are still awaiting,
For an approval of their thoughtlessness.
With a comprehension understood and accepted,
As to reason.
While a guilt from them fades.
Having a consciousness presents its consequences.
There is a possibility of one escaping from mistakes made.
But intentional activities done,
Believing one to be freed from feelings of remorse...
Do not come quickly with hollow apologies.
Feelings felt deep and personally...
Often do not detach themselves from memories!
And someone consistent in showing their disrespect...
Are seldom seen walking in someone else's shoes.
Some feel it easy to excuse themselves from their misdeeds.
Until it has been made known whose toes they have stepped upon.
And only then they perceive this to be,
An oversight and a forgiveable issue to be forgotten.

For too long it tortured me

The guilty

Guilty
Just tried to have fun raised hell and then some
I'm a dirt-talkin', beer drinkin', woman chasin' minister's son
Slap on the make-up and blast out the music
Wake up the neighbors with a roar like a teenage heavy metal elephant gun
