You And I

you and i
mere illusions
created through
this body to test our
strength and resolve to
loosen this grip on the earth

you and i
mere shadows
of a great light playing
an eternal hide and seek

Over All

The Lord Jesus is over everything, as The Sovereign and Eternal King,
He is Creator and Sustainer of all, that moves upon this terrestrial ball.
And all around it He has dispersed, His Light throughout this universe,
The many lights displaying His Majesty, this as far as any eye can see,
Everything created for His pleasure, greater than anyone can measure.

All for His pleasure without any end; all that the eye can see my friend.
All upon the earth was made by Him, everything that is, except our sin,
However, sin did come through, one God created, before me and you.
Created in God’s Heavenly place, but, in pride, Lucifer fell from Grace,
Then was cast down to this earthly sod, as that Eternal Enemy of God.

With this, from God, came a curse, upon His creation and all the earth,
Friend, upon this earth, men would fall, into sin, those great and small,
But, God would send reconciliation, to the earth through His Salvation,
Giving sinful man the eternal victory, over sin and God’s eternal enemy,
Redeeming in Christ, all fallen men, and the earth that was condemned.

The Eternal God and our Creator, came down to earth to be our Savior,
He became poor, for you and me, when He left those riches of Eternity,
Emptying himself of all but love, Christ left His Throne in Heaven above.
Coming down, He still was God, but, now as a man on this earthly sod,
But, Christ came to earth, not to live, for His own life, He came to give.

Losing My Grip

Loosing My Grip
Hoobastank
(The Scorpion King)
All the questions
I went through
I never told myself the truth
I turned my back
On you and me
'Cause I was scared to see
That we weren't
Who we used to be
So now I'm
Trying hard to
Let go, let you go
But I can't seem to
Loosen my grip
Trying hard to
Let go, let you go
Let you go, go
Feeling emptiness inside
A part of me already died
But I pretended to go on
Like everything's ok
And all we built began to fall
As I began to lose it all
Shut my eyes
And set me free
'Cause I was scared to see
That we weren't
Who we used to be
So now I'm
Trying hard to
Let go, let you go
But I can't seem to
Loosen my grip
Trying hard to
Let go, let you go
Let you go, go
You're all that
I ever wanted
You're everything
That I need
But now it's finally over
Time for goodbyes
I needed so now I'm
Trying hard to
Let go, let you go
But I can't seem to
Loosen my grip
Trying hard to
Let go, let you go
Let you go, go

Have no illusions

Have no illusions –
Life is challenging
Have no illusions –
Marriage is not easy
Have no illusions –
Sometimes you’ll question
Have no illusions –
You will find fault
Have no illusions –
This is marriage
Have no illusions –
You will work it out
Have no illusions –
Hardship brings strength
Have no illusions –
You are each other’s rock
Have no illusions –
Love will endure.

Kash...

kash....
Kabhi aap samajh paate
Mere shabdo ki nahi
Mere hriday ki bhasha.
Dekh paate,
Mere hotho ke muskarahat ke pare
Mere palko me chuupi ghata.
Kabhi sunte mere sannate
Ki bojhal vayatha.
Mehsoos karte
Har saaans me
bujhti,
jalti
Mere sapno ki shama.
Kabhi jaan pate
iss nashwar se deh
me base
aatman ki ankahi dastann.
Par shayad
Ye hona na tha
Hume youn tooth kar bikharna hi tha
Aap aakhir marichika ho mere ragistan ke
Yo aap ko paakar khona hi tha.
Par phir bhi
kash...
kabhi aap....-anjali

Transformation (2)

at first i was just a mere word
so i transformed myself into a sentence
and then not contented with what i am
a mere sound and syllable
an idea, a conceived meaning
i opted to have some cells

i learned how to make myself many
so i got duplicates and multiples
until i began to have a body

some hands and feet until i began
to have a definite form like circles and
squares and cubes until i became a man

and then i regretted all these
i went back to what i was
a mere word
now looking still
for my own meaning.

I must take issue with the term 'a mere child,' for it has been my invariable experience that the company of a mere child is infinitely preferable to that of a mere adult.

The Poetic Experience

writing for me is like hammering
a nail... you keep pounding till
it's driven. what i have tried
to do, in collusion with others,
is to amass a body of work that
celebrates the human in human
beings... with all its pain,
suffering, turmoil, and all the
trials, the human experience is
still the eternal experience...
the only hope for humanity to
survive lies in turning inward.
until we know ourselves, we can
never have the god experience,
and can never truly interact with
others, can never even see others,
much less know them! we are mere
reflections of each other, mere
reflections of god... the sameness
that lies below our differences
is both deep, and wide!

the fireflies of Puerto P.

we take the boat at night
the sea is having its low tide

we are going to the place where the fireflies are mating
we trace the rivers like blood to our veins

the moon has not come at that hour
the trees along the banks are mere shadows

the fireflies are all there
glistening like stars in the heavens

there is so much silence
what we can hear is only the sound of the boat sliding on the river

i've seen for once the magic of their lights
and there i am but a mere shadow against the trees

the journey towards my childhood begins
where Papa trapped all of them inside a jar for us to marvel

how life gives light and how quick shall death take it.

God the saviour

There is greater love in that God perished innocently
that He who is almighty lowered Himself
to the image of a mere man
that He did permit earthly beings to curse Him,
even to challenge God in all of His power
to have eternal life in reconciliation

than the love that mere man knows
between husband and wife, parent and child,
than what man knows of being selfless,
as God did not forget His own creatures
and came back to those who were lost,
to win the war between good and evil.

Instincts Are Independent

To fall in love,
Learning about love
Is not necessary.
To write a poem,
Studying great poems
Is not a must.

To be selfish,
Knowledge in scripts
Is mere an onlooker..

To be immoral,
Moral awareness
Is a mere witness.

Graduate (cavatina sequence) (in answer to Archibald Macleish)

In three years or four, holy beliefs are slain,
He did not make
either man or the earth, Charles Darwin's
theory does take
centre stage at great universities,
nonsense do rake
as mere myth the Bible into the ground,
learned men sound to themselves profound;

like gods they toss and play with all their students,
as memories
of God and His great things they cause to dwindle;
flowers and bees
as lust become simple chemical yearning,
they teach duties,
to be like gods in self actualization;
they destroy God and his creation

while magic things like the force of life
stays beyond science,
while man is bound to facts and to his own
experience,
cannot measure to an almighty being;
with patience
God and His character of love remains,
mere man struggle on in his life of pains

while still is lingering the truths of youth,
love is beyond
the bounds of man's mere own observations,
the simple bond
to survive on earth, bound by time and space,
does correspond
with a higher intelligent being
whose selfless power sustains everything.

Ruminations Of A Morning

in this seductive interplay of
sun and shadows
in this intirguing drama of
light and darkness
i nose-dive into pools of
teasing illusions and
corrupted reality
i'm utterly defenceless in the
vortex of hide and seek
on this pompous stage of
glaring lights with my face
heavily made up
i indulge in an unending soliloquy
that i alone hear
i enact a clumsy pantomime
in an auditorium where
i'm the only audience

is this just one sun rise
is this just one darkness
is this just one dawn
is this juse one dusk
that repeates itself upon
an unseen hand pressing
an invisible re-play button?

tell me, my friend...
when will these
solidified shadows of twilight
dilute and dissolve
into a total darkness or
complete light?

A Mere Man

i am nothing but a mere man, with mere thoughts
but with a love and song so deep in my heart
that it touches every part, every part of my total being.
this is what my friends and family are seeing.

i look at you, and every feature of you face
stays in my mind.
the sparkle in your eyes, the tenderness of your lips
your soft brown hair, and cute little nose
shows the beauty of a perfect pose.

i am but a mere man, and you as my companion
we'll walk hand in hand.
absorbing all of the LORDS wonders.
the blue skies, the stars at night
the clouds, the grass, the trees
and the tiny honeybees.

the oceans, rivers, and the streams
all of which can be seen.
billions of wonders on this earth
the most important one is-'giving birth'.
it does not matter if it's human
animal, plant or fowl,
its beauty is world reknown.

a mere man am i
but the LORDS beauties will never die.

Intimations Of Immortality (In Answer To William Wordsworth)

I

Love is something that we see
in a eternal light
with a own illumination in the darkest night
and its goodness is more than mere charity

as if immortality comes to it
when it is true and sincere,
when we really hold someone dear
and it fills our souls bit by tiny bit

and where our lives are only fleeting
we long for some perfection,
something more to our affection,
something that goes beyond each meeting

of the human kind
something of the divine,
something rare past fine,
that we try to define in the human mind.

II

We notice the sun that hides during the night
but returns daily with a kind of celestial light
and view it as necessary to maintain life,
we notice the ocean stretching beyond mere sight

and even at times the hills seems eternal,
the seasons that comes and go
the falling rain, the winter snow,
volcanoes that seem infernal

holds to us a special place
are all things that we view as being constant
and for life on some of them we are dependant
but we only live by amazing grace.

Yet everything is fleeting and transitory,
stars explode; their energy at a time is spent
and it is this earth’s story
that all things are evanescent.

III

Only God is eternal and immortal,
and His power with which He sustains things
while to us who are merely mortal
by His grace there are daily awakenings

and with every new birth
His unconditional love is expressed
as involvement from the divine on this earth
and continually we are blessed

while rainbows hold a own secret message,
while there is life in every meadow, grove, and stream
and His power and presence isn’t just a dream
but is expressed from eternity and still acts in this age.

Hide And Seek

when i went there
you were not there
when you went there
i was not there

purposely we try
not meeting
like two parallel lines
unbent by light

you think about the kids
playing hide and seek
to while the hours away
when we are not with them

come to think about what
we are doing: we are breaking
up, and we are loosening our grip
to our hands. we pretend that
you like finding me and that i like
finding you.

we love not finding each other.
and that is the truth.

when the kids ask why?
we play our games and we tell them

we are enjoying each others' search.
we miss our absence.

we like it this way.
raw smiles. fake grins.

He Has Kept The Key In Us!

He created everything,
Yet he can't perceived by anyone,
He is behind every creations,
yet no creation is immortal or eternal,
He dwells in everyone as light in every shining stars,
He is the formless gives forms to any formless,
He moves everything, remaining himself unmoved,
Not only he is creator,
But also sustainer and destroyer,
He is playing with universe,
He paints everyone with his own ideas!

He who has created everything,
Has created that fire of right knowledge,
He gave everyone the right,
To think right, work right, and live right,
Only the righteous gets the key,
That key lost in own self,
One can open the door of heaven or hell with that magic key,
When one learns the deception of senses,
And illusion of play of light,
Turns to that pure bright light within,
Where he can see the love and peace for ever!

He is formless behind all forms,
He paints on vacuum,
He illuminate the forms,
and lift the veil of illusions,
And show his true nature,
His presence everywhere,
He is the one who fills the breath in the toys,
Make them think and work,
He is selfless,
Yet look selfish,
Sometimes play with nature,
Sitting on that magic mat called space,
Here every one are protected,
When he feels enough,
fold the sky as if we fold the mat, everything has to go into that from which they are projected!
and he himself plays his game,
We have nothing to gain or nothing to lose,
He is the one regaining,
his lost glory in Us back!
