She Softly Spoke My Name During Her Sleep (Novelinee)
She softly spoke my name during her sleep,
turned around on a cool linen sheet
while slowly along the dark night did creep,
the air was with fragrant lavender sweet,
had the smell of jasmine and cinnamon,
stretching out naked across the soft bed
her limbs and body in the moonlight shone
and on the pillow laid her curly head,
before at dawn the many stars were shed.

Approaching Lavender
If youd like to spend the afternoon approaching lavender
Youll feel just fine but one things sure
Youll never be the same
If youd like to try your hand at understanding lavender
Then you must be very sure
That life is not a game
You might even learn a thing or two approaching lavender
Youll soon be on a one night tour
Forgetting your own name
You wont need a reason just to be alone with lavender
For the light so warm and pure
Will draw you like a flame
The colors that surround you there will be the shade of lavender
Shadows dancing everywhere
Like flowers in the rain
You will find your tongues on fire while lying next to lavender
With words you never spoke before
And will not speak again
Oh sweet lavender I understand you perfectly
There is no way that I can see
You living by yourself
Oh sweet lavendar I must be with you constantly
Your presence means so much to me
Much more that life itself
Oh sweet lavender as fragrant as the name you bear
Please cast away the clothes you wear
And give your love to me
Oh sweet lavender your smile is like the golden sun
Id love to see you laugh and run
As naked as the sea
If youd like to spend the afternoon approaching lavender
Dont try and get the best of her
She will not share the blame
If youd like to try your hand at understanding lavender
Then you must be very sure
That life is not a game
There is no shame

While night animals were frolicking around outside
While night animals were frolicking around outside
you came to lie against me,
with stars shining brightly in the dark sky
and you wanted me to recite some poems.
Outside the wind rustled the potato trees,
you came to lie against me
while the golden moon for a time was wavering
and everything was pitch black around me.
Outside the wind rustled the potato trees,
before sleep eventually led me away
and jasmine, lavender and gardenia was on the wind
and everything was pitch black around me.
but in no dreams I could find you,
you waited wide-awake for first light
and jasmine, lavender and gardenia was on the wind
and the stars shined like jewels in the night.
While night animals were frolicking around outside,
you waited wide-awake for first light
with stars shining brightly in the dark sky.

Words Fail Me! ! !
I'm waiting for a spark of inspiration
To set my willing hands to tapping keys,
But all I feel is anger and frustration.
I might as well be typing in Chinese.
I've been here hours and still I have no inkling
How to pull the words out of my head.
The stars outside my room are softly twinkling,
And soon I'll have to drag myself to bed.
I cannot seem to form the simplest phrasing,
Let alone the tempo and the rhyme.
I think I might as well try crystal-gazing!
It all seems such a total waste of time!
Oh, well! I'll just give up and go to sleep now.
My pillow calls and I cannot resist.
Sleep's soothing hand feels cool upon my fevered brow,
And there's nothing more to do now but...desist!

What a sultry night of love.
Standing in the sultry-naked summer night -
A vision I see,
An intrinsic figure that shivered down my soul,
A lady of love, beauty, and potential viability,
Well also Over burdened
by an unmerchandised self-esteem,
Soft breezes blows from fragrant meadows,
Tossing her perfectly coiffed auburn hair into the wafting cheerful sky,
Like a flawless floating garment of what an angel might be,
A goddess, an angel, oh, lovable beyond measures - I do believe,
Then slowly i walked in the trail of her shadows - towards her fansy bossom,
The stars and the faintly shining moon came,
And their came a stream of light,
Giggling like the ever fluttered sun,
just then i knew my superwoman was here,
So transfixed was I - I feel so insane
Like a man in denial of sex,
All the secrets of her dark eyes,
Came stirring my dark mind in dancing times,
And then a voice - a heavenly voice
And then she gave her name,
Her voice is as an angel cry,
Her smell is of a rose,
A gilt-edge smell,
With a taste of life sweet wine,
I would make a trace of her,
Even in the darkest night,
Cuz' Her dark petal skin shimmer's against the moonlight,
Her laugh is delicate as a song,
It dances in my ears,
Like the festive carrol rhymes,
And then her volumptious wild heart desire lips was exposed,
By the tiny stream of light that
Streaked her luscious naked lips ajar,
Her smile was so divine,
Her face was truely ordained,
It was a silver spangle in her eyes
I can hardly whisper her name,
For i was spell bound,
With my seductive goddess I walked
For she was a gentle warmer,
And such a sweet soul aspirer,
As she lures me with her solem voice
into these dreamy night,
A dream uncommon,
But rather sensational,
Once again, i knew the messiah queen was my saviour,
I knew i was free from the drenching claws of boredom,
And the sultry night was a passage into what i may call FIRST LOVE ON A ROLL.

The Window
All night long, by a distant bell,
The passing hours were notched
On the dark, while her breathing rose and fell,
And the spark of life I watched
In her face was glowing or fading, -- who could tell? --
And the open window of the room,
With a flare of yellow light,
Was peering out into the gloom,
Like an eye that searched the night.
Oh, what do you see in the dark, little window, and why do you fear?
"I see that the garden is crowded with creeping forms of fear:
Little white ghosts in the locust-tree, that wave in the night-wind's breath,
And low in the leafy laurels the larking shadow of death."
Sweet, clear notes of a waking bird
Told of the passing away
Of the dark, -- and my darling may have heard;
For she smiled in her sleep, while the ray
Of the rising dawn spoke joy without a word,
Till the splendor born in the east outburned
The yellow lamplight, pale and thin,
And the open window slowly turned
To the eye of the morning, looking in.
Oh, what do you see in the room, little window, that makes you so bright?
"I see that a child is asleep on her pillow, soft and white,
With the rose of life on her tips, and the breath of life in her breast,
And the arms of God around her as she quietly takes her rest."

Cinnamon Street
Growing up on cinnamon street. everywhere you look there are lots of people to meet, its seven oclock, the breakfast treat. now the schoolbus is here, hurry up and grab a seat. all the dreams
Iny ones, another week has just begun on cinnamon street.
There was a girl on cinnamon street, the same age as me, we shared the curiosity. I won her heart cos I could play guitar. I promised her heaven at once and later all the stars. but it all remai
He same cos things can never change on cinnamon street.
I can hear my heartbeat the very first time we made love, life was a lazy rest in the sun. later we went dancing, staying up all night long - playing all our favourite songs, cinnamon songs: oh
Na na na na.
I say goodbye to cinnamon street. springtime is here and the air is so dry and sweet. I walk in a cloud, the smell of cinnamon bread, its in my blood since the day I was born til I wake up...
And the sun is smiling gently, a funny shade of red, cinnamon street.
I still feel my heartbeat the very first time we made love, life was a lazy day in the sun. later we went dancing, hanging out all night long - singing all our favourite songs, cinnamon songs: o
Na na na na na na.

A Song
Oh night and sleep,
Ye are so soft and deep,
I am so weary, come ye soon to me.
Oh hours that creep,
With so much time to weep,
I am so tired, can ye no swifter be?
Come, night, anear;
I'll whisper in thine ear
What makes me so unhappy, full of care;
Dear night, I die
For love that all men buy
With tears, and know not it is dark despair.
Dear night, I pray,
How is it that men say
That love is sweet? It is not sweet to me.
For one boy's sake
A poor girl's heart must break;
So sweet, so true, and yet it could not be!
Oh, I loved well,
Such love as none can tell:
It was so true, it could not make him know:
For he was blind,
All light and all unkind:
Oh, had he known, would he have hurt me so?
Oh night and sleep,
Ye are so soft and deep,
I am so weary, come ye soon to me.
Oh hours that creep,
With so much time to weep,
I am so tired, can ye no swifter be?

Sleep
In the middle of the night
Head on my pillow
Looking like a little ghost
Seems like all of the things
That you gave your mother
Have all gone up in smoke
In the middle of the night
You don't know what I'm thinking
But still the stars still sparkle and shine
Seems like all of the time
Our boat was slowly sinking
You didn't even seem to mind
Now all I want to do is sleep
Now all I want to do is sleep
Now all I want to do is sleep

I Know
She's out there
Heart beating
Like the wings of a bird.
For me.
Sent by Aphrodite
I heard
Her symphony
- Winging through the ether
As her fragrance lingers long.
A million stars beneath her
She pours out our secret song.
Truly
Only in moonlight glow
Do I feel.
I know
It's real.
Her kiss
Would heal the scars where I bled
When bells rang in my head.
Would cut the thread where I hung
Above abyss.
To drown in bliss
In her arms.
Where all hope had clung.
Her smile
That lights a butterscotch sky
Ignites
Dark stars that drift by.
Healing me from afar
Her promise I keep in a jar.
Her touch
An electric breeze
So softly, I sink to my knees.
And smell the jasmine of her hair.
Sounds of our love
Echo somewhere
I know.

Cinnamon Girl
I wanna live with a cinnamon girl
I could be happy the rest of my life
With a cinnamon girl.
A dreamer of pictures I run in the night
You see us together, chasing the moonlight,
My cinnamon girl.
Ten silver saxes, a bass with a bow
The drummer relaxes and waits between shows
For his cinnamon girl.
A dreamer of pictures I run in the night
You see us together, chasing the moonlight,
My cinnamon girl.
Pa sent me money now
Im gonna make it somehow
I need another chance
You see your baby loves to dance
Yeah...yeah...yeah.

For Eternity
The night is cool
as the stars shine
upon the faces
of the lovers
that lay in the moonlight
limbs intwind
after a love sublime
they lay in arms
body spent
they smile
at each others
glowing smiles
hold each other
with love so grand
they whisper sweet nothings
as they share their love
and committe to each other
for eternity

After Death
IF we must part, this parting is the best:
How would you bear to lay
Your head on some warm pillow far away--
Your head, so used to lying on my breast?
But now your pillow is cold;
Your hands have flowers, and not my hands, to hold;
Upon our bed the worn bride-linen lies.
I have put the death-money upon your eyes,
So that you should not wake up in the night.
I have bound your face with white;
I have washed you, yes, with water and not with tears,--
Those arms wherein I have slept so many years,
Those feet that hastened when they came to me,
And all your body that belonged to me.
I have smoothed your dear dull hair,
And there is nothing left to say for you
And nothing left to fear or pray for you;
And I have got the rest of life to bear:
Thank God it is you, not I, who are lying there.
If I had died
And you had stood beside
This still white bed
Where the white, scented, horrible flowers are spread,--
I know the thing it is,
And I thank God that He has spared you this.
If one must bear it, thank God it was I
Who had to live and bear to see you die,
Who have to live, and bear to see you dead.
You will have nothing of it all to bear:
You will not even know that in your bed
You lie alone. You will not miss my head
Beside you on the pillow: you will rest
So soft in the grave you will not miss my breast.
But I--but I--Your pillow and your place--
And only the darkness laid against my face,
And only my anguish pressed against my side--
Thank God, thank God, that it was you who died!

Lonely is the Night without a Pillow
dear dream please forgive my eyes
if the night closely peep the
morning sunlight, for nothing leaves the crickets
awake of sweet melody until everybody will greet
the morning glory of the stars asleep
twig the ray of every tree for the wind, gallops to
lay, snore the thundering rugged stream down
to the river flow as it
sing, and looks the night as it wait the morning sky,
wondering how it goes in the tick tock of the clock
oh! ladder of every dream, a pillow comes closer my
dear pillow,
for I will make you stay in my bed with a kiss
in your head, do what the eyes and the lips say and
make my day happy as you'll be
sleep my wonderful buddy the night comes in like a
flake of snow cool as it touches your body.....

Insomnias Bite
at night it comes
while all else sleep
thoughts creep in
shaded in the dark
crouching in shadows
their intentions unclear
lacking any motive
sleep appears impossible
while tiredness grows
eyes open feel heavy
aches pass over the body
times passes slowly
a clock turned to face away
no need to watch
the silence of the room
passing noise outside
a mind wide awake
unable to switch off
at night it comes
insomnias bite

~Where Love Grows~
You woke me from my deep sleep-
All slumbered for some time~
Nestled near the shrubs of lavender-
Sound sleep it had been mine~
You ever gently seduced me-
With come-hither eyes~
No need words spoken-
Your body language~
A heart's sweet lullyabye-
Warm and gentle loving calm-
It all came over me~
Tender giving lover-
Purveyor of sweet destiny~
Together we are at last alone-
In the vale of lavender and rose~
Touching one anothers soft-
Velvet petal flesh~
In God's Garden Valley-
New Love- it grows~

My Deep
You're more lovely than all the shades
of greens and purples of any precious garden.
You're my most dreamless sleep,
my green, my cool and dark and deep.
Your smile's worth more than all the jewels
within the earth, begging at your feet.
Hot and humid, overtired. I beg for sleep!
My fresh, my green, my dark and deep.
My purple! Oh, for a dreamless sleep!
My green, my cool, my dark and deep.
You are sweeter than summer night's jasmine
and brighter than the sun's morning laughter.
My Prince, my man, my green lovely, my sleep!
my best, my fresh, my cool, my dark and deep.

Night Secrets
Night Secrets…
No more my aching heart
As you sleep silent in my breast
Awakening in the night
I await your sweet caress
My aching, barren arms in vain
So many times I've wept
At night upon my pillow
While in my bed I slept
Night secrets in the darkness
Like dark, murky shadows
That linger in the night
The rain softly whispers
Through the wind and trees
Carrying my secrets
To the moon shining bright
Secrets kept deep within my heart
They whisper in the night
No one else may listen
There's no one else in sight
They echo through the evening
Those things I cannot share
My secrets whispering in the darkness
Like a breeze fluttering through air
Until then…
I'll wait my love
For your soft, caressing touch
With the stars softly glowing
Through the window in my room
I lie quietly in my bed
With the shadows of the night
Whispers flow in the breeze
Sending them gently to the moon
Until then…
I'll wait til you come again
When I can softly whisper in your ear
Those secrets that I carry
Sharing secrets...
With the one I love so dear
Until then I'll wait...
For my heart belongs to only you

Cinnamon Girl
As war drums beat in Babylon
Cinnamon girl starts 2 pray
Eye've never heard a prayer like this 1
Never b4 that day
Tearful words of love 4 people she had never met b4
Asking God 2 grant them mercy in this face of a holy war
Cinnamon Girl
Cinnamon Girl of mixed heritage
Never knew the meaning of color lines
911 turned that all around
When she got accused of this crime
So began the mass illusion, war on terror alibi
What's the use when the god of confusion keeps on telling the same lie?
Cinnamon Girl
Don't cry, don't shed no tears
1 night won't make us feel
Cause we know how this movie's ending
Cinnamon Girl
As war drums beat in Babylon
And scorch the blood red sky
Militants bomb the foreign gun
Both sides truly die
Cinnamon girl opens the book she knows will settle all the scores
Then she prays after the war that there will not b anymore

I Smelled Him In My Pillow
He wore a cologne that made my heart stop
like rain on a sunny day in a coming spring.
His voice was soothing,
mystical: Billie Holiday,
getting ready to sing.
I smelled him in my pillow the next night.
Hours after he left with hugs
that seemed to offer future promises.
His taste, his touch,
his gaze,
too untrustworthy for me to ever wallow in.
Alone, I still contemplated what could never be.
Lifestyles far too different; too complex,
But still refused to listen
or to see.
I knew it would end,
but still hoped to be the girl somehow written for the script.
Accepting false precisions,
I had given up on all fortitude,
essentially lost my grip.
But I smelled him in my pillow
of drunken doings, made up feelings, and cinderella endings,
to escape everything I knew.
And in the mornings of the birds chirps,
I woke to another day that had to be taken responsible of
to be considered true.
Naked,
I laid ambivalent about whether or not I was truly ashamed.
The comfort in my sheets resting softly on my skin,
as if to tell me he was the one to blame.
As if to say they would rest softly on my skin night after night.
As long as I needed them,
to fill that empty constant.
When Billie Holiday would sing the blues,
and rid my pain in the day
of forthcoming nonsense.
Sweet,
Yet so terrifyingly cold,
It was the smell of him in my pillow;
An absent friend and foe.
