Globe in Darkness

Almost round, outlined in blue
Too lonely to be understood
Intimate to her tenants' touch
The globe in space is effortless.

A bulb of light for the dim expanse
Rotating, hovering in grace
Her dance a step unknown to those
Who claw and scar her surfaces.

Scientists of restrictive laws
Know that life and sustenance
Flow only from her hidden core
To which all worshippers are called.

I touch her grass and trees with care
From her I learn that all I am
Will grow and eat and age and die
On earth and waters she provides.

The globe rotates her deserts of time
Where human life and love began
The oceans churn and come to rest
Where they meet the open sky.

Seabirds cry their panic notes
Coastal creatures seek the hills
While in a quiet island bower
A bee stabs at the buttercups.

By Pooh stickers and alphabets
A child spins her globe around:
'Daddy, I want to see Africa.
Can you take me there again? '

Enclosed in remnants of the woods
Spirit guardians recall
Her most intricate fish and beasts
The stories loved by childish hearts.

Her king of beasts known to be wise
But when wisdom is not his prize
Her soil that yields his daily bread
Is stained with red, his daily blood.

Saplings nursed in netting shade
Are planted stem by stem with care
In a yearly rite, on Sahelian hills
After the falling of the rain.

Semi-lit against the dark
With purpose through its daily work
A tiny brush restores the glow
To fading faces of the globe.

The Globe

the globe sits
on the table

full of countries
surrounded by
a mass of blue

hitting the drums
on so many
vacuum cells
in my mind

so many places
that remain places

flat as a piece of map

the child tilts the globe
spins it it round
and round

a mind full
full of wonder
of the world
that revolves
in his mind

A Smile On Your Face

Put a smile on your face and be glad always,
But this message is for the child who hasn't eaten for days;
Let me see the smile on your face always,
Because this parcel is for the woman who was at the gate last night;
For she opened the gate for us and we went in to meet the madam of the house,
And this is also for the victims of war all over the globe.

Some people are hated in this world and other are being loved,
But put a smile on your face and be glad always;
For this parcel is for the lady whom i met at the gate,
And of the care of others in this world as well.

There are orphans everywhere in the world!
So put a smile on your face to express your muse;
For the flood victims have no shelter as at now,
And we need to help them too.

Anything can occur in this world at anytime,
For nature is not in out hands to control;
And like the suffering of the people all over the globe.

Of poetry, of love and peace, of the care of all mankind!
The truth is always he truth;
And like the living creatures in the waters,
But all the birds will fly up high to take a view on us.

0097 The vintage of a lifetime

As some sun-ripened vineyard-owner, rich
in slow maturing wisdom gained through time,
before that noble rot of trodden grape
yields untold harvest of a well lived life-
and proud that with his daily-tended skills
he'll win a vintage he will never taste -

so I, who seek to daily tend life's yield,
distil a vintage I shall never taste.
Mayhap some pencilled notes from wisdom's root
shall grow new generation's richer fruit.

Happy New Year Twenty Ten

The year naught nine was rather rough;
Let’s hope the New Year is not tough;
Let peace prevail around the globe;
Let progress be the people’s robe!

Let recession be over soon;
Let human resources be boon;
Let wars become a distant dream;
Let smiles on faces always beam.

Let ethics rule our society;
Let no one live in anxiety;
Let terrorism see its end;
Let corruption see downward trend.

Let love of brethren connect all;
Let suspicion see its downfall;
Let children get a better deal;
Let fairness be the global seal.

Let charity to poor begin;
Let trust, truth, hard-work always win;
Let dialogues replace all arms;
Let world rejoice in singing Psalms.

Let leaders think and do things right;
Let concern grow for poor man’s plight;
Let’s keep the environs in shape;
Let’s never try the cheats to ape.

Let friendship be the frontier lines;
Let’s undo booby traps and mines;
Let’s pray to God keep our health;
Let’s earn our daily bread and wealth.

Let happiness permeate earth;
Let every unborn see its birth;
Let’s practice safe and natural sex;
Let evil minds not try to vex.

Let men of goodwill always win;
Let’s forgive others for their sin;
Let harmony be everywhere;
Let’s breathe and relish freedom’s air!

Across The Flow

Across The Flow

Crosscut boards make a firm structure.

Moving against the flow is a reality found
inside lessons for the lost potential in hope.
That damage is a lack of willingness
to seek the next breath inside the unknown.

All can't be expected to be sugarcane stalks.

A dreamy fallacy for a leaning post
has no foundation nor persistence,
for daily the storm creates our laughter
wriggling inside the turgid stem's gradual

uplift, as the rain is our tears in lament.

Where would the bulb in the earth be
without the pouring rain to awaken its
blossom from a darkness within the earth.
Asking for nothing it unfolds quietly toward

the warmth and light within the day.

The bountiful bouquet's song and beauty
is to be grasped and held in our hands.

Miraculous Light

The miracles are from the heavens,
A copy of the globe is found there.
Before we entertain each other,
Inspect the eyesight and love.
My mighty head sounds different
Like a woodpecker and its pecking.
Miracles deliver a praise of the heavens
And the Earth is once then found.
A globe has muttered a prayer from within
Inside which is light, and more light.

Wise Men Still Seek Souls

The purpose of the True Church of God is to always seek out the lost,
And share with them the life changing Gospel, whatever be the cost.

Although the history of The Church is filled with gaps and lulls,
The truth throughout has always been, that wise men still seek souls.

After believing and accepting God's unmerited Gift of Salvation,
Sharing this Truth with the lost, is every Christian's obligation.

You too were once lost like your neighbor, without any Hope indeed,
However, someone who knew, took the time and planted a tiny seed.

Then The Lord used someone just like you, to water it a tiny bit,
And then in your heart, through someone's love, a tiny fire was lit.

Now using The Spirit, through people and ways we do not know,
That little tiny fire, that once was a seed, truly started to grow.

The Lord's Love and The Spirit's work, helped it continue to grow,
Then your life, and your appearance, took on a whole new glow.

As He grew from within, The Spirit shaped and kindled the fire,
Into a challenge and a love, which birthed a new found desire.

The new found desire is to share The Gospel with all whom you meet,
Because one day very soon, we shall all bow at Christ's Feet.

So my friend, could this be the day for you to reset your goals,
For wise men have and will always be lead to seek out lost souls.

Touch The World

Rev. oliver wells
She walks with a beat as she works the
Street in the dead of night
Shes been laid off and her kids must eat
And his moneys right
A world away beneath the sun the earth
Goes dry
A hungry starving people search for
Food as their babies die
(chorus)
I tell you, we can touch the world
When we meet them all at their need
We can touch them where they are
Help them to believe, touch the world
Hes on the pipe and hes got the shakes
As he takes a puff
Their badges shine and theres no
Escape as they lock him up
Fourteen years old and without love the
Girl is livin wild
How can it be a four month pregnancy
And shes the child
(chorus)
I tell you, we can touch the world
When we meet them all at their need
We can touch them where they are
Help them to believe, toucht the world
(bridge)
Round the globe people need to know
The answers theirs today, someway
Somehow
We must let them know that God gives
Hope and jesus is the way

For I Must Sing of All I Feel and Know

For I must sing of all I feel and know,
Waiting with Memnon passive near the palms,
Until the heavenly light doth dawn and grow
And thrill my silence into mystic psalms;
From unknown realms the wind streams sad or gay,
The trees give voice responsive to its sway.

For I must sing: of mountains, deserts, seas,
Of rivers ever flowing, ever flowing;
Of beasts and birds, of grass and flowers and trees
Forever fading and forever growing;
Of calm and storm, of night and eve and noon,
Of boundless space, and sun and stars and moon;

And of the secret sympathies that bind
All beings to their wondrous dwelling-place;
And of the perfect Unity enshrined
In omnipresence throughout time and space,
Alike informing with its full control
The dust, the stars, the worm, the human soul;

And most supremely of my human kin --
Their thoughts and deeds, their valors and their fears,
Their griefs and joys, their virtue and their sin,
Their feasts and wars, their cradles and their biers,
Their temples, prisons, homes and ships and marts,
The subtlest windings of their brains and hearts.

So rich and sweet is Life. And what is Death? --
The tranquil slumbers dear and strange and boon
That feed at whiles our waking being's breath;
The solemn midnight of this glorious noon,
With countless distant stars, and each a sun,
Revealed harmonious with our daily one.

The Gentle Rain of Dundee

The rainbow
And a timeless game
And the echo of
An ancient name
Merge with the sound
Of an engine
Of a far away train
Dissolving
Slowly
With a song
Of sparkling
Love
Sourced from within
Unknown life
Unknown soul
Of unknown name

The gentle rain
Again and again
On Dundee’s land
On Dundee’s hills
Time and time
Bring the story
Of a child life
Of a child name
With the sound of
The falling rain
Revealing
All the secrets
Of the ultimate
Master game

The rainbow
And the timeless name
Eternal in essence
But
Among the crowed is
Nothing but
A fameless
A shadow
Of a mythical
Life
Once lived
In a faraway
Cold Terrain
And bathed daily
In Dundee’s rain

You and I

Let this earth go round with care,
Let this world go round with love,
Let this planet go round with peace,
Let this globe go round with joy,
And let us guide our neighbours too;
Give a little and let someone take a little as well.
Stay blessed,
For you and i were made on this earth with love;
And we have to share our experiences with others too.

Thanksgiving

O my dear Lord and Beloved God
I thank You for
the sun and the rain, the wind and the snow
and all that helps us to prosper and grow.
The moon and the stars in the night sky,
the clear mountain stream that flows down by.

The plants and the trees all growing in the meadow and field
that we can cultivate and harvest for what they have to offer and yield,
for our livelihood and sustenance in our daily life
and for Thy rules and regulations to avoid all strife.

For the inner Divine light and sound of Thy most precious Word
which inspite of everything else can still be seen and heard.
For Thy divine grace and love felt in our daily devotions to Thee
which will eventually help us all to realise that we are free.

Sleep

When all, and birds, and creeping beasts,
When the dark of night is deep,
From the moving wonder of their lives
Commit themselves to sleep.

Without a thought, or fear, they shut
The narrow gates of sense;
Heedless and quiet, in slumber turn
Their strength to impotence.

The transient strangeness of the earth
Their spirits no more see:
Within a silent gloom withdrawn,
They slumber in secrecy.

Two worlds they have--a globe forgot,
Wheeling from dark to light;
And all the enchanted realm of dream
That burgeons out of night.

Somewhere My Baby Waits For Me

Mmm...
My life is through but I have no doubt
Someday I'll meet that someone I've dreamed about
He may live around the globe far across the sea
But somewhere my baby waits for me
The moment that I see him, my heart will know
Then I won't wait to tell him I love him so
He'll be mine to have and hold for whole eternity
Yeah, somewhere my baby waits for me
Oh, somewhere my baby waits for me
When I see lovers passing
I don't feel blue
I know the things they're feeling I'll be feeling too
I don't know where I'll meet him, I don't know when
I only know that someday my search will end
One fine day I'll turn around and there he will be
Yeah, somewhere my baby waits for me
He may live around the globe far across the sea
But somewhere my baby waits for me
Oh, somewhere my baby waits for me

Day and Night! - Sonnet

Earth witnesses beautiful duos, distinctly apart
Bright days and dull nights that meet across
Most dramatic events that have routine part
Light and shade are nothing but time's gloss

Every creature needs Sunlight to survive
Sun is the Source of Light, Energy and Life
Sole heat resource that makes Life thrive
Beauty, colours, flow, work, awake, full of Life

Dark sky means time to rest and stop the race
Most creatures seek shelter, sleep in safety
For those in love, Moonlight is a touch of romance
When Stars fill the sky, gives a sense of eternity

Just as Night fades, a new Day comes in
Bringing a lot of hopes and wonders within.
