I have never won the lottery
but if I ever did I'd buy
A lovely little run a round car
something pleasing to my eye
The color of my car would be yellow

A bitter pill implies where I belong
I signed the back of a lottery ticket, filled the name and address clearly.
The night is sleeping but still I am awake in a Gas station to fulfill the boisterous vehicles.
I hear a whisper in my decaying wallet.

I am not homeless
there is a number on my door
a room mate cat quilt desk sofa
spray bottles under the sink.
I am not homeless
on the train initiated
showing a monthly ticket to the guard
I am not homeless
at my desk in the office
expected to talk beg
bring in the business
give them the business
business as usual or get the hell out
I am not homeless
in a world of obligation
scrambling to pay rent

food food food

Misfits (HEATHER**town of misfits?)
old saint nick saved all the misfit toys
and gave them to all the girls and boys.
he knew that each one could never be
a misfit for you or me.
now all those toys had their spirits broken
for they could not see
the beauty that was in their hearts
was meant to be.
a word, a touch, of old saint nick
healed their hearts very quick.
now that their spirits were revived
the tears rolled from their eyes.
they had learned on this day
that a pure heart would forever stay.
so if you think that you're a misfit child
sit and think for awhile.
of all the others who are worse than you
and don't know where to turn to.
you have loved ones to guide you
and show they care
although at times they may not be there.
