Constant beating of my heart
please keep beating. Don't depart.
You keep me going all day long
able to hum a happy song.
I never stop and ask you why
I don't have to make you try
to beat for me. You just do.
How you do that, I've no clue.
Someday when you're all worn out
I will wonder all about
how you kept me going so long
so I could hum my happy song.

Sundered Paths
TWO travellers, worn with sun and rain
And gropings o'er dim paths unknown,
Meet where long separate ways have grown
To one, and then diverge again.
They halt anigh the green wayside,
Where groves pant with the impassioned song
Of nightingales; wild roses throng
There round them leaning side by side.
As close and still more close they cling,
Like some weird tale--once more in dreams
Lived through with ghastlier horror--seems
That old, cold, lonely wayfairing.

There are things I don’t understand
That I want to ask of you
Only I don’t know how
Time seemed to fragile for us
I only have this memory
And I find I don’t remember
I know I said that were beautiful
And that you could make me smile
And you went quiet for a while
You may as well have run away
