Ladder

Cook, look, hook, rook, took, book, nook, kook;
Take me home and show me your love,
For the ladder up there is far from me.

Ladder, adder, add, read, dear, red, lad, dad, led, are, era;
But inser the pole inside the tube of the foam!
Because your home is now intended for me alone,
And i have my peaceful mind set on this love.

Wide openings,
The ladder up there is very far from me!
But what goes around will surely come around one day;
And like the joy of your muse in the land of flowers.

Ladder To The Sun

From the very start
Came Earth parted
Broke up into pieces and
I was sure I could have missed it
It could risked it
But I put myself into your hands
Cause you're not just anyone
You're a ladder to the sun
You're not just anyone
You're a ladder to the sun
I can run my courses
Opposing forces
Then I...
If you want me you can have me
Oh take me, oh baby grab me
Cause if you want me then you can have me
Cause you're not just anyone
You're a ladder to the sun
You're not just anyone
You're a ladder to the sun
you cannot run
I had it all and I risked it
I had it all and I risked it all
And I risked it all
And I risked it all
A ladder to the
A Ladder to the sun
A ladder to the
A ladder to the sun
A ladder to the
A ladder to the sun
And I risked it all
A ladder to the
A ladder to the sun
And I risked it all
I risked it all
I had it all
I risked it all
A ladder to the sun

She Walks Her Talk

Ruth is a nice woman
she does not climb the ladder
the ladder climbs for her
i remember how the ladder puts
her feet on the step
and the ladder keeps on carrying
her to the top
so that she can see what is wrong
with the plain
and she does what she is supposed to
do
trimming the stars
dimming the heavens sometimes
to create the ambiance of
an accommodation
she does what the gods tell her to do
down to the last detail
sacrificing sometimes what she thinks
is right from her own human perception
the trees love her
and so do the sand and grass

i am telling you i love the woman
you know it well
she walks her talk.

Jacob's Ladder

If the Lord our leader be,
We may follow without fear;
East or West, by land or sea,
Home, with him, is everywhere;
When from Esau Jacob fled,
Though his pillow was a stone,
And the ground his humble bed,
Yet he was not left alone.

Kings are often waking kept,
Racked with cares on beds of state;
Never king like Jacob slept.
For he lay at heaven's gate:
Lo! he saw a ladder reared,
Reaching to the heav'nly throne;
At the top the Lord appeared,
Spake and claimed him for his own.

Fear not, Jacob, thou art mine,
And my presence with thee goes;
On thy heart my love shall shine,
And my arm subdue thy foes:
From my promise comfort take;
For my help in trouble call;
Never will I thee forsake,
'Till I have accomplished all.

Well does Jacob's ladder suit
To the gospel throne of grace;
We are at the ladder's foot,
Every hour, in every place
By affirming flesh and blood,
Jesus heav'n and earth unites;
We by faith ascend to God,
God to dwell with us delights.

They who know the Saviour's name,
Are for all events prepared
What can changes do to them,
Who have such a Guide and Guard?
Should they traverse earth around,
To the ladder still they come;
Every spot is holy ground,
God is there - and he's their home.

Home For Summer

It's hard for me to comprehend
Holding on with broken hands
But who will understand
Wallow in the acid rain
What's in store for us today
It's never gonna feel the same
I'm waiting for an angel now
To carry me above the clouds
Cause it's a long way home for the summer
And it's a long way up without a ladder
It's a long way home
And it's a long way down
Swallowing the bitter taste
Trying to find a remedy
Before the crystal breaks
Looking at a picture show
Frame by frame you see us grow
To something you don't know
You're trying to find a reason now
Behind a face, you see a child
It's a long way home for the summer
And it's a long way up without a ladder
And it's a long way home
And it's a long way down
Life's a picture show
Frame by frame we grow

Booty-Boo-Doo-The Caboose

I'm not going to hide,
Any love you see this evening.
I'm much too needing on my side...
And I want it known as shown,
I've come with... some pride.

I'm not going to hide inside of me,
This evening.
Too much I let collect in dust.
And too much I don't want to get rusty.
I've got enough in me to boot and hoot.

It doesn't matter if my ladder,
Can get up to reach the roof!

I know my ladder apparatus,
And it's there to give a boost.

Booty-boo-doo-the caboose.
I know my ladder apparatus,
And it's there to give a boost.

Booty-boo-doo-the caboose.
I know my ladder apparatus,
And it's there to give a boost.

Booty-boo-doo-the cabooster.
Booty-boo-doo-the caboose.
Booty-boo-doo-the cabooster.
Booty-boo-doo-the caboose.

Booty-boo-doo-the cabooster.
I know my ladder apparatus,
And it's there to give a boost.

I'm not going to hide inside of me,
This evening.
Too much I let collect in dust.
And too much I don't want to get rusty.

And it's there to give a boost.
I know my ladder apparatus,
And it's there to give a boost.

Booty-boo-doo-the cabooster.
Booty-boo-doo-the caboose.

I want to know,
And I'm excited!

Booty-boo-doo-the cabooster.
Booty-boo-doo-the caboose.

I want to know,
And I'm excited!

Booty-boo-doo-the cabooster.
Booty-boo-doo-the caboose.
Booty-boo-doo-the cabooster.

Prince Of Orange

Look at these hands
Spokes of the sun God delay you, spray you
Prince of orange, climb the ladder
Prince of orange will die.
Brass robinettes
Trumpet and drums for the taking, baking
Prince of orange, climb the ladder
Prince of orange will die.
All the food he steals is all right
Far the tall and gentle poplar
Causing fanfare to those listening
Now
Drape round your head
Mischief and secrets in green kelt, all hell
Prince of orange, climb the ladder
Prince of orange will die.
Look at these lands (--- --- ---)
Youll get no books for your dinner
Sinner
Prince of orange, climb the ladder
Prince of orange will die

I am a broken mirror

I am a broken mirror,
Which was broken when you look.
There is a hidden rose in my heart,
And never laugh at me as a kook.

I am a broken mirror,
Where was broken in the nook.
No one knows me and my love,
And never looked my rose or took.

I am a broken mirror,
Just as a myth in the old book.
You never read it even in dream,
Never read a line even is a hook.

I am a broken mirror,
But show you complete even every part.
It'll show clear spring to you,
Forever show to you my broken heart.

The Sounds In The Roof

At four in the morning we were awakened
by sounds coming from up in the roof.
It sounded like whispering and music,
and we were puzzled to tell the truth.

At first we thought it was our neighbours,
but then remembered they had gone away.
We decided to go up there and investigate,
so got a ladder, and a torch to show the way.

We could hear the sounds quite clearly,
as we climbed the ladder to the loft.
We whispered so no one could hear us
and at one stage we nearly fell off.

I slowly opened the roofs trap door
and shone my torch all around,
but I couldn’t see anything unusual,
and couldn’t hear a sound.

Bewildered, we climbed down the ladder
and decided to go back to bed,
but as soon as our heads touched the pillows
we wished we were elsewhere instead.

The sounds had returned, and much louder,
so we went up the ladder again.
It went quiet as soon as I raised the trap door,
this time I searched, but in vain.

We concluded that the wind was the problem,
as it came down the chimney pot.
But in hindsight we were only fooling ourselves
because we hear the sounds if it’s windy or not.

Can I Wait For My Boxer's to Dry?

I was often told...
Be careful how you go up the ladder,
Because one day you may have to come down.
And to always wear clean underwear.
Since you never know...
Who just might be around.

'That still doesn't explain,
Why you are butt naked...
Standing on a ladder,
And hanging your underwear
On tree limbs! '

Well officer...
It's like this.
If my neighbors saw my underwear clean,
And I put them on publicly.
They would not worry about how they looked...
When I came down the ladder.
It would be obvious...
My underwear is clean!

'I still have to take you in for psychiatric observation.
I understand the logic behind it!
However...
I do think you have been a bit stressed.
And taking things out of context.'

Can I wait for my boxer's to dry?
I just put those on my next door neighbor's satellite dish!
Did they call you?
I bet they did!

Ladder Of Success

Now the race has begun
You are strong and you are young
Its your choice, its up to you
Be good to us and well be good to you
And you will be rewarded for conforming to our plan
The system will accept you because we understand
Youll be up there with us on the pinnacle of success
Winning, climbing on the ladder of success
Why take less, now youre on the ladder of success
Now weve reached the end of another school year
And those of you who are leaving us
We wish you well in your chosen careers
I see you got a job with a well established firm
Youll be earning a 3 pound 10 shillings a week
Plus luncheon vouchers
Well my boy it looks as though youre heading
Straight for the top
And your efforts will be noted
But you must always compete
Stick it out the skys the limit
And youll be part of the elite
Youll be up there with us
Competing with the best
Achieving, winning on the ladder of success
Make commitment, join our team
Now youre really in the thing
Part of the plan, dont make a fuss
Play the game and youll be one of us
And your efforts will be noted
Youll be part of the elite
Pay your money make your choice now
Your commitment is complete
Now youre up there with us
Competing with the best
Achieving, winning on the ladder of success
Stand in line, join the queue
Play the game with the right attitude
Now you played your reputation
Theres so much that you can lose
What a struggle to get up there
Youve really paid your dues
Now youre up there with us on the pinnacle of success
Still youre climbing on the ladder of success
Now youre up there with us
Competing with the best
Winning, climbing on the ladder of success
On the ladder of success
Achieving, winning on the ladder of success

Borrowed Tune

Im climbin this ladder,
My head in the clouds
I hope that it matters,
Im havin my doubts.
Im watchin the skaters
Fly by on the lake.
Ice frozen six feet deep,
How long does it take?
I look out on peaceful lands
With no war nearby,
An ocean of shakin hands
That grab at the sky.
Im singin this borrowed tune
I took from the rolling stones,
Alone in this empty room
Too wasted to write my own.
Im climbin this ladder,
My heads in the clouds
I hope that it matters.

Rook

Rook, rook read from your book
Who murders who and where is the treasure hid?
Crow, crow spill all you know
Is that my name on the bell?
Rook, rook gaze in the brook
If theres a secret can I be part of it?
Crow, crow before Ill let go, say is that my name on the bell?
Soar up high, see the semaphore from the washing lines
Break the code of the whispering chimneys and traffic signs
Wheres the message thats written under the base of clouds?
Plans eternal, I know you know, so dont blurt out loud
Rook, rook by hook or by crook
Ill make you tell me what this whole things about!
Crow, crow why cant you show
If thats my name on the bell?
On the wings of night, I fly too, above field and stream
My head bursting with knowledge till I wake from the dream
If I die and I find that I had a soul inside
Promise me that youll take it up on its final ride
Rook, rook gaze in the brook
If theres a secret can I be part of it?
Crow, crow before Ill let go, say is that my name on the bell?
Is that my name on the bell?

4. That Blooming Cat

Round the corner up a tree
A small black cat looked down at me
A large Alsatian starred at cat
Near the tree where now he sat

Cat was hissing the dog went woof
Each had nearly had enough
All night long they’d sat and starred
Not at home but no one cared

Cat looked sad and gave a wow
Dog barked so much louder now
Crowd starts forming dog gets madder
Someone shouts I’ll get a ladder

Placed the ladder up to the tree
Then the crowd all looked at me
I reached the cat the crowd all starred
But I can’t get down cos now I’m scarred

[03] Chocolate Afternoon

That was our moment— your hair on my face
Falling gently as dream— now it is the yesterday

No sun there into room— only a breezy cool framework
Backed our assorted brain— that always I recapitulate

On that ladder of charm— my lips tapped the flower
With spongy soggy kiss— now which I really miss

On that chocolate afternoon— love sweated inside torso
Your tender hands replied— that is today crucial wound

That was our moment— no sun there into room
On that ladder of charm— on that chocolate afternoon

William Shakespeare

Brutus: That lowliness is young ambition's ladder,
Whereto the climber upward turns his face.
But when he once attains the upmost round,
He then unto the ladder turns his back,
Looks in the clouds, scorning the base degrees
By which he did ascend.
