Decked With Gold

The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colours,
Decked with gold, pearls and precious stones!
But she was worried about the things to come.
Like she who sits on the seven mountains in Rome,
She is desolate and naked after war!
And her desire is with many to make a difference.

Of the wine of her fornications,
Of the beer of her adulteries,
It was very pleasant to the eyes and desirable as food;
But like the work and the care of her lover,
She is always decked with gold.
Of the peace that eludes her,
At the same time of war with mankind;
But when she is dead and gone,
Others will still hope and dream of her.

Dirty Dancing

Videotaping,
Sexual escapades,
Fornication,
Dirty dancing,
Emerging from dark bedrooms!
And like the wine of her fornication,
But i saw the woman sitting on scarlet coloured beast full of names of blasphemy.

She has seven heads and ten horns,
With sodomites in the land and of male prostitutes as well;
But the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colours!
Also decked with gold, pearls and precious stones;
And having a cup in her hand full of abomination! !
But the filthiness of her fornication was enjoyed by many who were dancing around her.

Bible in Poetry: Revelation 17

The Woman and the Beast:

1One angel who had the bowl, then
Came to me and said, 'Come on please,
I will show you the punishment
Of the great prostitute, who sits
On many waters of the earth.
2With her the kings of the earth had
Committed adultery and
The inhabitants of the earth
Became intoxicated with
The wine of her adulteries.'
3The angel carried me away
In the Spirit to a desert.
I saw a woman sitting on
A scarlet beast that was covered
With blasphemous names all over,
And had heads seven, and ten horns.
4The woman dressed in purple, scarlet,
Glittered with jewels that she wore,
Of gold and precious stones and pearls.
She held a golden cup in hand,
Filled with things abominable
And filth of her adulteries.

5 Her forehead had this title writ:

‘MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT,
THE MOTHER OF ALL PROSTITUTES,
AND OF EARTH’S ABOMINATIONS.’
6 The woman was drunk with the blood
Of saints, the blood of those who bore
Testimony to Jesus Christ.
When I saw, I was astonished
7The angel asked me: 'Why are you?
I’ll explain the woman’s mystery
And of the beast she rides upon,
Which has seven heads and ten horns.
8The beast, you saw, once was, now isn’t,
Will come up out of the Abyss,
And go to his destruction then.
The earth’s inhabitants whose names
Have not been writ in Book of Life,
From time of creation of world
Will astonished be, seeing beast,
Because he once was and will come.
9'This calls for mind for great wisdom.
The seven heads are seven hills,
On which is seated the woman.
10They also are earth’s seven kings.
Five have fallen, one is, and last,
Hasn’t yet come, but when he does come,
He must remain for just awhile.
11The beast who once was, and now isn’t,
Is eighth, belonging to seven
Kings, going to destruction.
12 'The ten horns you saw are ten kings
Who haven’t received a kingdom yet,
But will for one hour receive pow’r,
As kings along with the great beast.
13They have one purpose and so will
Give their authority to beast.
14They’ll war against the Lamb of God,
But the Lamb of God will o’ercome
Them, because he is the Lord of lords
And King of kings of universe—
With Him will be his called, chosen
And faithful followers of Christ.'
15The angel told me, 'The waters
You saw, where the prostitute sits,
Are peoples, nations, languages.
16The beast with ten horns that you saw
Will hate the prostitute strongly.
They will bring her to ruin and leave
Her naked; and consume her flesh
And burn her with fire later.
17For God has put it into their hearts
To accomplish his purpose by
Giving the beast their pow’r to rule,
Till God’s words fully are fulfilled.
18 The woman is the great city
That rules over the kings of earth.'

Souls Of Men And Women

Gold, silver, and precious stones!
Pearls, fine linen and purple;
Silk, scarlet and scented woods!
Ivory, brass and iron;
Precious wood, marble and cinnamon!
Incense, fragrant ointment and frankincense;
Wheat, cattle and sheep! !
Horses, chariots and slaves;
The souls of men and women are here to stay,
But, who the cap fits, must always wear it.

The merchandise of gold in the land of gold,
The merchandise of silver in the land of silver,
The merchandise of bronze in the land of bronze,
The merchandise of precious stones in the land of stones,
The merchandise of fine linen in the land of thread,
The merchandise of pearls in the land of pearls,
The merchandise of silk in the land of wool,
The merchandise of scarlet in the land of clothes,
The merchandise of ivory in the land of elephants,
The merchandise of scented wood in the land of timber,
The merchandise of brass in the land of metals,
The merchandise of precious wood in the land of trees,
The merchandise of wool in the land of sheep,
And the merchandise of marble in the land of marbles;
For this is the message to the sea captain.

This Light

Hear my words oh you men,
Listen to me oh you that have knowledge;
Because i am the gold of Ophir among the stones of the brook;
But naked i came out from my mother's womb.

I am like the boundary between the light and the darkness,
And like precious crystal and the precious onyx;
But the price of wisdom is above rubies!

I am like the precious sapphire and the precious coal,
And my mind is like the path for the lightning bolt;
But my steps are bathed with the cream of love,
And like the precious pearls in the land of your muse.

Listen to me when i speak,
For my council is like Mount Everest far up high! !
And i am the eyes to the blind in the land of joy.

The old men rose and the old women gathered around,
And like a smelter for silver;
But i am the feet to the lame.

Listen to me oh you that have ears,
For a place of gold is now refined like my name;
But upon many will this light shine unto;
For my love is sweeter than the red apples in your hands.

Faith More Precious Than Gold

Although now, for a while,
Sore distressed by grievous trial,
And your love for your Lord may grow cold,
You are shielded by Him,
To His hope you’re born again,
And your faith is more precious than gold.

How intense is the fire
Of your grief and deep desire
And the pain of the sob of your soul;
Of God’s plan you’re afraid,
And by Him you feel betrayed,
But your faith is more precious than gold.

Though He slay, you can trust
Him who made you out of dust;
He is still the same God as of old.
Though you can’t see Him now,
Still you love Him anyhow
With your faith that’s more precious than gold.

God is now glorified
When in Him you still abide
And His fruit of endurance show bold.
You’re the work of His hand,
And on Him you must depend,
So your faith is more precious than gold.

You can greatly rejoice
In His name and in His choice
More like Jesus your being to mold.
So then run to the Lord,
To His side and to His Word;
Put to practice this faith more than gold.

When you flee thus in prayer
And experience His care,
Then the proof of your faith will be told.
Though some pain might remain,
You’ll thank God for all the rain,
For you’ll know your faith’s worth more than gold.

And this faith has an end
That you’ll better comprehend:
The salvation and life of your soul,
An inheritance sweet,
Bowing at your Savior’s feet,
Praising Him for this gift more than gold.

The Gardener LIX: O Woman

O woman, you are not merely the
handiwork of God, but also of men;
these are ever endowing you with
beauty from their hearts.
Poets are weaving for you a web
with threads of golden imagery;
painters are giving your form ever
new immortality.
The sea gives its pearls, the mines
their gold, the summer gardens their
flowers to deck you, to cover you, to
make you more precious.
The desire of men's hearts has shed
its glory over your youth.
You are one half woman and one
half dream.

My Imagination of a Purple Sky

I imagined a Purple Sky today from dawn till dusk.
A gold moon and millions of gold stars lit across this silk sheet of a Purple Sky.
And then it rained streaks of fine gold.
The majestic sky then decided to be very generous and poured down tremendous amounts of Rubies, Diamonds and Sapphires.
All different colours, shapes and sizes.
A great big King then appeared radiant in the Purple Sky and looked down at me with such a delight...
I was atonished with joy!
He was wearing a dazzling gold crown encrusted with millions of white diamonds and a crushed Purple velvet gown with such a long train.
It was certainly a sight for my sore eyes.
Here.. he said come take me hand... I want you to be the Queen of this Purple Sky, but most importantly be the Queen of my Purple Heart....
He swept me off my feet and we sat in the great heights of his Kingdom in the Purple Sky drinking goblets of wine.

A colleague then tapped my shoulder and notified me I was late for a meeting! ! ! ! !
I then discovered something strange as I put my hand into my jacket pocket out appeared a beautiful Purple Ruby ring.....

A Tulip Garden

Guarded within the old red wall's embrace,
Marshalled like soldiers in gay company,
The tulips stand arrayed. Here infantry
Wheels out into the sunlight. What bold grace
Sets off their tunics, white with crimson lace!
Here are platoons of gold-frocked cavalry,
With scarlet sabres tossing in the eye
Of purple batteries, every gun in place.
Forward they come, with flaunting colours spread,
With torches burning, stepping out in time
To some quick, unheard march. Our ears are dead,
We cannot catch the tune. In pantomime
Parades that army. With our utmost powers
We hear the wind stream through a bed of flowers.

Ideals

Better than land or gold or trade
Are a high ideal and a purpose true;
Better than all of the wealth we've made
Is the work for others that now we do.
For Rome grew rich and she turned to song
And danced to music and drank her wine,
But she sapped the strength of her fibres strong
And a gilded shroud was her splendor fine.

The Rome of old with its wealth and wine
Was the handiwork of a sturdy race;
They builded well and they made it fine
And they dreamed of it as their children's place.
They thought the joys they had won to give,
And which seemed so certain and fixed and sure,
To the end of time in the world would live
And the Rome they'd fashioned would long endure.

They passed to their children the hoarded gold,
Their marble halls and their fertile fields!
But not the spirit of Rome of old,
Nor the Roman courage that never yields.
They left them the wealth that their hands had won,
But they failed to leave them a purpose true.
They left them thinking life's work all done,
And Rome went down and was lost to view.

We must guard ourselves lest we follow Rome.
We must leave our children the finer things.
We must teach them love of the spot called home
And the lasting joy that a purpose brings.
For vain are our Flag and our battles won,
And vain are our lands and our stores of gold,
If our children feel that life's work is done.
We must give them a high ideal to hold.

Sweet Love

My dream lover where are you?
Come into my world so sweet;
Where, true love is sweeter than honey.
The aroma of my love drips like pure gold,
My dream lover where are you?
Your precious breasts will be taken care of,
All i want is to share with you is love;
Where our nakedness will be mused together.
Oh my dream lover,
Enter into my world so sweet;
With the sweet taste of the aroma of love.
I am for you and, you are mine;
To where the Roses do sing our names.
Naked to the muse of love so sweet,
In the garden of love with lovers;
My only one, come to me.

Whyd You Come In Here Lookin Like That

Whyd you come in here lookin like that
In your cowboy boots and your painted-on jeans
All decked out like a cowgirls dream
Whyd you come in here looking like that
Here comes my baby
Draggin my heart behind
Hes drivin me crazy
Who says love is blind
Hes got a wanderin eye and a travelin mind
Big ideas and a little behind
Out with a different woman every night
But I remember when he was mine
Chorus:
Whyd you come in here lookin like that
In your high heeled boots and your painted-on jeans
All decked out like a cowgirls dream
Waltzing right in here lookin like that
Whyd you come in here lookin like that
When you could stop traffic in a gunney sack
Why youre almost givin me a heart attack
When you waltz right in here lookin like that
I just cant stand it
To see him on the town
Hes out slow dancing
With every girl around
Im a softhearted woman hes a hardheaded man
And hes gonna make me feel just as bad as he can
Hes got himself a mean streak a half a mile wide
But now hes dancing on this heart of mine
Whyd you come in here lookin like that
In your high heeled boots and your painted-on jeans
All decked out like a cowgirls dream
Whys you come in here lookin like that
Whyd you come in here lookin like that
In your high heeled boots and your painted-on jeans
All decked out like a cowgirls dream
Whyd you come in here lookin like that
Whyd you come in here lookin like that
When you could stop traffic in a gunney sack
Why youre almost givin me a heart attack
When you waltz right in here lookin like that
Whyd you come in here lookin like that

The Colours Of Love

The colours of love,
The colours of unity,
The colours of peace,
The colours of humility,
the colours of care,
The colours of passion,
The colours of romance,
The colours of the mind,
The colours of your works,
The colours of mankind;
But, let true love come out from your heart!
For, in peace and unity we have to live on this earth together:
Than, the bullets of war that divides us always! ! !

Gold

Everyone wants to obtain gold
in everything they have,
gold in their life,
gold in their love,
gold with their work
and gold within their friends.

They want their love to last forever,
their friends to always be around,
and their life to be a success
built on solid ground.
They want to be the best
in any work they do.

They don’t want the precious metal
and the money that it brings,
but just a life that is rewarding
and they can convert that into anything.
They want to see the sunrise
to herald in a new day.

They’ll gladly forfeit the blues
that makes life run away.
They want not an impossible dream,
but a dream all the same,
built out of sheer determination
with foundations on solid ground.

I am a brave man
I am bold
My love is purer than gold
So will you be my lover
Will you be a friend
For i can be a good brother
I have been abandon by my lover
She says i have no future
So she cant be with me forever
But i believe in love
That's my heart desire
I am like gold in the dust
Wash me and you will see
How wealthy i am to thee
I am testy of love
Because love is life
Not a beautiful woman
To make a wife
I am blessed with natural mystic
My love is more than magic
So will you be my lover

Believers

Intro:
I got no money, got no job, I'm just another shufflin' slob.
Well we've all been disappointed, we've had our dreams before.
For with dreams you learn to take your turn
In a world that don't believe in nothin' anymore.
Some believe in Jesus. They don't act like they do.
Some believe in Mohammed. I don't believe that's true.
'Cause they do believe in money, and gold is what it's for.
All the gold can't buy no peace of mind
In a world that don't believe in nothin' anymore.
She is a woman, with a baby child. A sacrificed human. Now she's runnin' wild.
Well her dreams have all been shattered, her dignity defiled.
She has lost her way but she must stay
In a world that don't believe in nothin' anymore.
Some believe in love. Where did it go?
Some believe in children. Even they now know
That we do believe in money, and gold is what it's for.
All the gold can't buy no peace of mind
In a world that don't believe in nothin' anymore.
I believe in you, I believe in me and I don't care what the papers say.
I believe in struggle, I believe in life, I believe that we will find a way.
I believe in hope, I believe in dreams, I believe in luck, I believe in schemes
I believe in fate, I believe in time, I believe what I believe ain't worth a dime.
'Cause we do believe in money, and gold is what it's for.
All the gold can't buy no peace of mind
In a world that don't believe in nothin' anymore.
I'll go on livin', I'll pay the cost. I'll keep on givin' to those who are lost.
'Cause the children will be coming and they'll soon know the score.
They must understand I've played my hand
In a world that don't believe

How to make your wishes come true

She liked white and had not said a word yet

On her tenth birthday
she stood on the red steps

-the red opera house on the north side of Sydney Harbour
almost opposite the white opera house

She scattered orange petals, yellow petals, green leaves and spoke
in a light blue voice
A bird of navy blue pink and gold feathers stood by her. Was this the grateful bird? Purple gold and white danced
She said
