Ice Man
From Cap de Hault to Frenchman's Lease
Lies seven miles of moving ice,
A lady comes there once or twice a year
To view that precipice.
The glacier, that tortuously
Grinds along that deep moraine
Is known to all as 'Adam's Fault',
And Eve despairs the bleak terrain.
Eve Grise de Mare du Montalban
The countess from her place of fame,
Who played coquettish with her fan
When first to Adam's Fault she came.
Gervase and I both courted Eve
But she played him, and then played me,
The contest was uneven, for
Gervase was old nobility.
We both enjoyed a hearty climb
And took our contest to the 'Fault',
Who first would conquer Frenchman's Lease
And reach the peak, should win it all;
The right to ask the lady's hand,
To claim the prize of her by right,
The loser, then, would quit the scene,
Would disappear him, overnight.
The day was cold, a storm was due,
We set out with our picks and rope,
The ice was clear as rippled glass
As we ascended up the slope.
We'd made three of the seven miles
Before the storm burst over us,
Gervase was slightly in the lead
But stopped beside the Fault to rest.
The glacier was close beside
When I pulled up to shelter, then
A crevice, fifteen metres wide
Had opened up, quite close to him.
Gervase half turned, the blinding sleet
Reduced our vision down to naught,
He sought direction with his feet
And pitched head first into the Fault.
The depth seemed bottomless, I heard
Eventually, a distant thud,
Gervase had hit the glacier floor
And I was certain he was dead.
The storm, in one short hour had flown,
I turned and headed down again
To summon help, but he was gone;
I never saw Gervase again.
A year had passed, I asked my Eve
Her hand in marriage, and she wept;
I knew she loved Gervase, not me,
But he had gone… She would accept;
On one condition, that we two
Would journey back to Adam's Fault
Each year, until the glacier
Delivered up its grisly vault.
I had agreed, for then I knew
How slow the glacial ice would flow,
To bring that body down the Fault
Might take a hundred years or so.
But warming of the planet's face,
In recent years, increased its speed,
Though forty seven years had passed
Gervase would surface soon, indeed.
Last season, workers on the slopes
Had claimed to see a darkened shape
Deep in the ice at Cap de Hault,
But too deep to negotiate.
My mouth went dry, and I perspired
To think of that unholy hour
When Eve would see her love, Gervase
And set that love, again, on fire.
This year, I begged her not to go:
'We're getting old, too old for this, '
I pleaded, but her mouth was set:
'We must be there for our Gervase! '
A week went by, and then the call:
'A man lies underneath the ice,
We see him clear, ' the worker said,
'He's staring, looking up at us! '
So Eve and I walked up the slope
To see Gervase, entombed in ice,
He looked much as I'd left him there,
Eve sighed and wept: 'My poor Gervase! '
'He's just a boy! ' she sobbed, and looked
Surprised he wasn't old, like us,
The world had aged, and so had we
But he had travelled with less fuss.
And so I'm back, have locked our room
And left Eve to her love, Gervase,
I have a need to write my gloom
Before they take him from that place,
For when they pull that body free
From fifty years of shifting ice,
She'll see what she's not meant to see
Emerge from that old precipice.
For when they roll him from his bed
While Eve looks on, remembering,
I'll long have left this place of dread,
One bullet, swift, dismembering,
Will leave no pain, no guilt behind
Unlike the corpse of her Gervase,
Unlike the ice pick in his spine…
The shock and horror, on her face!

No, it is Not your Fault.
Poem Title: No, It is not your Fault. Acrostic Poem 153
No, it is not your fault!
Oh how many times must I say this, it is not your fault.
It is not your fault, from now on I want you to believe it, it is not your fault.
Try always and forever from this time on to master the fact that it is not your fault.
It is not your fault, Nobody is to blame, no thing, no way, no how, it is not your fault.
Since childhood have you not continually taken the blame upon yourself, It was not your fault.
Never wishing to cast doubt upon what a wonderful person you are, It is not your fault.
Out side of the love of friends and family are you seen as just a number, No, it's not your fault.
They may never get close enough to see the light you radiate, No, it is not your fault
Yesterday, troubles, debt, sorrow, disappointment, failure dogged your step, It was not your fault.
Over years, with hindsight your advantage, do you now see the illuminated sign on every corner?
Understanding dawns at last, Understanding all and everything gone before, was not your fault.
Redemption now at hand, you are at the gateway all your skills intact, you are loved with all faults.
Faults have given you a tool bag filled with wisdom, mistakes having been made rectified always.
All ways, All roads, All pathways trod, All modes explored, All embarrassments suffered, never at fault
Unless you count on all you meet as being with all faults, help them then aboard faults and all.
Light their hearts with your love and forgiveness despite the faults, will erase the faults you own.
That fault you thought you had was just my way of Guiding Angels through the maze Alone.

Pride it’s all your fault dying from this horrible diseases
Pride it’s all your fault we have so many orphans
Pride it’s all your fault people are betraying each other
Pride it’s all your fault are dying of hunger

Pride it’s all your fault there is no peace, unity and harmony in this world
Pride it’s all your fault we have all this sorrow
Pride it’s all your fault God has rejected us

And they have decided to be in love with evil rather than good
You have ruined this world

The Lie
For William Verdun Harris
My late brother.
It started years before I was born,
but the lie came into being after.
I knew nothing of it, why should I?
You never question your parents,
what they tell you, you believe.
Therefore, the lie grew and grew
as years folded into one another.
The lie became accepted as the truth.
Its hurt would not be felt
before four score and more had passed.
A Christmas card with a note from an Aunt.
Your half brother Bill would love to hear from you.
Half brother? I have no half brother.
He is your adopted brother
and my adopted uncle, so I was told.
No, he is your half brother.
I investigated what was said.
Soon the truth of the lie was revealed.
The lie had split two brothers,
to the other sides of the world.
Through urgent phone calls, I found him.
I had to see him, too many years had passed.
Who knows how long we had?
Travel plans were made,
the journey was now set.
After forty-two years, we came face to face.
Hug, tears and a family get together.
Those lost faces from the other side of the world.
We talked and talked into the night,
so much to learn and so little time.
Two weeks went quick and we parted again.
The telephone a communication line,
but how do you make up so many years,
with such little time?
The answer is you don’t.
The next year we extended our visit,
but still it wasn’t long enough.
We would never get another year,
within months my brother was gone,
and for months, I missed his calls.
But the lie was never retracted,
and my sister never got to know,
the other brother that she had.
She still believes the lie,
and won’t accept the truth.
She does not talk to me,
not out of anything either of us has done.
The long distant lie is at fault,
the guilt no one could admit to,
because they felt it would bring great shame.
Now a family lies in tatters,
a sad story all that remains,
about a lie, which almost the truth became.
What will the future bring, that’s something we can never tell.
I for one, hold no one with any ill will.

Not Enough
Theres nothing you can say
Nothing you can do
Theres nothing in between
You know the truth
Nothing left to face
Theres nothing left to lose
Nothing takes your place
When they say
Youre not that strong
Youre not that weak
Its not your fault
And when you climb up to your hill
Up to your place
I hope youre well
Theres nothing left to prove
Theres nothing I wont do
Theres nothing like the pain
I feel for you
Nothing left to hide
Nothing left to feel
I am always here
When they say
Youre not that strong
Youre not that weak
Its not your fault
And when you climb up to your hill
Up to your place
I hope youre well
What you want
What you lost
What you had
What is gone is over
What you got
What you love
What you need
What you have is real
Its not enough
Its not enough
Its not enough
Its not enough, Im sorry
Its not enough
Its not enough
Its not enough
Its not enough...
When they say
Youre not that strong
Youre not that weak
Its not your fault
And when you climb up to your hill
Up to your place
I hope youre well
Its not enough
No
Its not enough
Its not enough

The Mystery
This is your cup—the cup assigned to you
From the beginning. Nay, my child, I know
How much of that dark drink is your own brew
Of fault and passion. Ages long ago—
In the deep years of yesterday,—I knew.
This is your road—a painful road and drear.
I made the stones—that never give you rest;
I set your friend in pleasant ways and clear,
And he shall come, like you, unto my breast;
But you—my weary child!—must travel here.
This is your task. It has no joy nor grace.
But is not meant for any other hand,
And in my universe hath measured place.
Take it; I do not bid you understand;
I bid you close your eyes—to see my face.

My fault
A scratch.
A pinch.
A scrape.
A cut.
A turned up feeling,
In my gut.
The pain.
The horror.
The sadness.
The sickness.
Inside all this,
Scumness.
Useless.
Unbearable.
N aughty.
Mean.
All the things I feel,
Are obscene.
Dangerous.
Stupid.
Manipula tive.
Psychotic.
Any mental illness there is,
I'm quite sure I got it.
Bleeding.
Crying.
Blaming.
Up set.
Over all the things,
I sure can't forget.
My fault.
My fault.
My fault.
My fault.
I open my eyes,
'Is it over yet? '

No Fault In Women
No fault in women, to refuse
The offer which they most would chuse.
--No fault: in women, to confess
How tedious they are in their dress;
--No fault in women, to lay on
The tincture of vermilion;
And there to give the cheek a dye
Of white, where Nature doth deny.
--No fault in women, to make show
Of largeness, when they're nothing so;
When, true it is, the outside swells
With inward buckram, little else.
--No fault in women, though they be
But seldom from suspicion free;
--No fault in womankind at all,
If they but slip, and never fall.

Her Anguished Heart Looks On Alone…
With door ajar, she looks outside
To see if he is returning –
Her lover left her suddenly;
She never knows the reason why!
With anguished heart, she wonders why
Her world has turned topsy-turvy;
Was she to blame for what happened?
Was he at fault for leaving her?
With unkempt hair and tears from eyes,
She looks deep down the road ahead;
Her heart is weighed by sorrow that
Seems too much for her to bear up!
Her lover left her weeks ago!
She has been all alone ev’r since;
The solitude is too much for
A lady’s heart to live for long!
She recalls all the events past;
Her lover was a charming man;
They were both made for each other;
But things had changed in short a span!
Her frame is weak from eating less;
Time does not pass but lingers still;
Sometimes her mind can’t even think;
Fate played a cruel joke on her!
There hasn’t been word from her lover;
A month has gone by in this way;
She does not know if he’s alive;
Was he ambushed by terrorists?
Her lover was an army-man;
She’d known him for a year or less;
‘My job is risky! ’ he told her;
She never understood his words!
He came for week-ends to her place;
They were quite happy together;
They’d exchanged words of love profound;
He slipped a ring on her finger!
It was in Kashmir valley then;
The LOC was quite near-by;
Terrorists had infiltrated;
Jawans were put on high alert!
Her lover left to ne’er return;
There was no word of what happened;
She hopes to see him back one day;
Her woe-filled heart keeps telling her!
She prays so fervently to God,
‘Bring back my lover alive fast,
or end my miserable life;
I feel I am by now half-dead! ’
Her anguished heart looks on alone!
Hope seems to leave her frail figure;
Some life remains in her body;
A miracle can bring him back!

We All Are HOMOsapiens
UN-evolved Homo sapiens a maggot amongst the crowd
A corpse half-life scurry in beneath the fleshy mound
An angel falling away from a once foretold pilgrimage
Knocked off unwillingly pulled down from a now so distant cloud
They say Lucifer when he was thrown away
Discarded stamped given a label dysfunctional a reject throw it away
From the heavens he pummeled straight through the ground
Conscionable thrashing through the surface
To rest in the center of the core
A star plummeting from the sky
Through the soil that holds your feet
Straight balancing your figured weight Satan never howls
No matter how hard you try to simplify the outcome
Everything filters through the palms of these
Desperate hands grasping piles of sand
Your fault an your fault alone
Ignoring the only reaching helping hand
Panic that's all that's left
Loving the things that laws have passed to ban
At the end of it all on the losing side
Runner up in the game we call kick the can
I looked surprised till the point of no return
Splat! ! face first into a followed whisper
Heard leading to a dead end no where to turn
Face to the curb..face to the curb
Accept smile an recieve the nightmares
Your dreams breeding unforeseen beatings

It's My Fault
Everything is my fault
I am guilty for everything
Even for loving you
Which of course was a bad thing
You broke my heart
Not only with one girl but three girls
It's my fault
I am not everything you want and need
It's my fault
I can't be like her
I am sorry
It's My fault

Fault
Why did I let you inside my life
How could I let you inside my body my soul my brain
Now I cant make you go away
You're driving me insane and inside outand#8230;
I can tell
Its meaningful and so hurtful
There's no place just to hide
I can tell you right now that this pain that I feel is not just inside of my mind
I can tell you right now that its physical and painful to be so vulnerable
This is my fault
Oh this is my fault
How could I lie to myself again
These bad decisions a never ending story
I think id know by now just how to bout to smile
You're driving me insane and inside outand#8230;because
Its meaningful and so hurtful
There's no place just to hide
I can tell you right now that this pain that I feel is not just inside of my mind
I can tell you right now that its physical and painful to be so vulnerable
I can tell you this pain is so unreal cant help but feel left all alone
I can tell you to listen to me when I say to you I know
This is my fault
Oh this is my fault
I know this is my fault [x4]
I can tell you right now that this pain that I feel is not just inside of my mind
I can tell you right now that its physical and painful to be so vulnerable
I can tell you this pain is so unreal cant help but feel left all alone

A Toast to the Men
Here's to the men! Since Adam's time
They've always been the same;
Whenever anything goes wrong,
The woman is to blame.
From early morn to late at night,
The men fault-finders are;
They blame us if they oversleep,
Or if they miss a car.
They blame us if, beneath the bed,
Their collar buttons roll;
They blame us if the fire is out
Or if there is no coal.
They blame us if they cut themselves
While shaving, and they swear
That we're to blame if they decide
To go upon a tear.
Here's to the men, the perfect men!
Who never are at fault;
They blame us if they chance to get
The pepper for the salt.
They blame us if their business fails,
Or back a losing horse;
And when it rains on holidays
The fault is ours, of course.
They blame us when they fall in love,
And when they married get;
Likewise they blame us when they're sick,
And when they fall in debt.
For everything that crisscross goes
They say we are to blame;
But, after all, here's to the men,
We love them just the same!

Not All Me
I rather face all on top of my face
I am the perfect target screen
For your blindly fueled rage
I bare the brunt of your long buried pain
I don't mind helping you out
But I want you to remember my name
It's not all me
It's not all my fault
I need remind you, but I won't take it all on
Past riddled rage
I see the buttons I engage
Is my dignity in place?
I'm all too happy to switch
It's not all me
It's not all my fault
I need remind you, but I won't take it all on
Lest I find my voice
Find the strength to stand up to you
Lest I stay to my limit
And only take on what is mine to
We are a team
I'm here to help mend and rescind
All I trigger unknowingly
A job I hold in high esteem
It's not all me
It's not all my fault
I need remind you, but I won't take it all on
It's not all me
It's not all my fault
I need remind you, but I won't take it all on
I'll only take some of it

Death Is In Love With Us
I know it hurts too much
I know that you're scared
I know you're running out of trust
Wishing you were dead
In your misery
You're not alone
So come share your tears with me
And witness it all go wrong
I know it and i feel it
Just as well as you do, honey
It's not our fault if death's in love with us oh oh
It's not our fault if the reaper holds our hearts
41+66.6 = our loss
We're breathing only to fade away
We're running just to get caught
What love's lies blessed
What love's light cursed
Just fear for the best
And hope for our worst
I know it and i feel it
Just as well as you do, honey
It's not our fault if death's in love with us oh oh
It's not our fault if the reaper holds our hearts
Death's in love with us oh oh
The reaper holds our hearts oh oh
Death's in love with us oh oh
And the reaper holds our hearts oh oh
I know it and i feel it
Just as well as you do, honey
It's not our fault if death's in love with us oh oh

Please Come Home
It must have been about a 100 years
At least a hundred years
I wish you would just come back
Just come back home
The day we met feels like 100 years ago
And Im still waiting with my hand right by the telephone
Yeah maybe where you are you cannot make that call
Or you cant find the pen I know its not your fault
CHORUS
My friends think Im insane
Cause I've turned old and gray
And Im still waiting and I cannot be alone
Please come home (please come home)
I watch the clock hands tick my hours turn to days
And I cant fall asleep cause I don't want to miss that ring
I know that this year your car will park outside
But I can't put my arms around the girl who took my life
REPEAT CHORUS
Its been so long
Its been about 100 years
And a million dreams since the last time
Ive seen your pretty face I would do whatever it takes
I would wait another 100 years
And if that didnt work
Maybe Ill try and see what forever feels like
But until then and I know you hear me
And whatever your doing wherever you are please come home
That day we met feels like 100 years ago
And Im still waiting for you
Baby baby wont you please come home
Please come home
Wont you please come home
Please come home
Wont you please come home (Please come home)

Such Are The Good Times.
This is to all my fans.
Welcome to my little jam.
A love to share with world.
With her I have these wings to soar.
I share every intense moment.
I give in to every good thought.
I try to write the honest anwsers.
To cataclysmic caners.
With the hero's as the midnight dancers.
Each to his own.
Sometime you must face it alone.
When the darkness passes.
Well be together again.
As I make another home.
To live as the best way I know how.
Oh it's not my fault.
It's not my fault, not my fault.
None of it the suffering, the pain, the horrible sight of my best friend dying.
To this it is I celebrate every night, for I'm celebrating one year less till I'll see you.
Like a proper sentence.
You were too good and I didn't deserve you.
Now my hearts gone.
Forever erased into the new.
Even as I try to make them fit your shoe.
It hurts every time..
A constant reminder.
A sickness from the real side winder.
We call her love.
The scent of her still linger.
Like a curtain.
The fog comes to your eyes.
I am a man and I'm free.
The choices are mine.
Such are the good times.

Loss Unbearable, Loss Irrepearable
The death of a twelve year old,
Her sister shed tears,
But the body was cold,
Loss Unbearable, Loss Irrepearable.
She felt all had lost hope,
It was her fault,
'I let go the rope! '
Loss Unbearable, Loss Irrepearable.
'I should have pulled her up'
'I lost grip'
'I should'nt have given up! '
Loss Unbearable, Loss Irrepearable.
'You trusted me! '
'And there is no reason....'
' No you shouldn't have, see? '
Loss Unbearable, Loss Irrepearable.
'No! It's not your fault! ',
Said her sister,
Who lay dead in the vault,
Loss Unbearable, Loss Irrepearable.

BE HIS rest the rest he sought:
Calm and deep.
Let no wayward word or thought
Vex his sleep.
Peace—the peace that no man knows—
Now remains
Where the wasted woodwind blows,
Wakes and wanes.
Latter leaves, in Autumn’s breath,
White and sere,
Sanctify the scholar’s death,
Lying here.
Soft surprises of the sun—
Swift, serene—
O’er the mute grave-grasses run,
Cold and green.
Wet and cold the hillwinds moan;
Let them rave!
Love that takes a tender tone
Lights his grave.
He who knew the friendless face
Sorrows shew,
Often sought this quiet place
Years ago.
One, too apt to faint and fail,
Loved to stray
Here where water-shallows wail
Day by day.
Care that lays her heavy hand
On the best,
Bound him with an iron hand;
Let him rest.
Life, that flieth like a tune,
Left his eyes,
As an April afternoon
Leaves the skies.
Peace is best! If life was hard
Peace came next.
Thus the scholar, thus the bard,
Lies unvext.
Safely housed at last from rack—
Far from pain;
Who would wish to have him back?
Back again?
Let the forms he loved so well
Hover near;
Shine of hill and shade of dell,
Year by year.
All the wilful waifs that make
Beauty’s face,
Let them sojourn for his sake
Round this place.
Flying splendours, singing streams,
Lutes and lights,
May they be as happy dreams:
Sounds and sights;
So that Time to Love may say,
“Wherefore weep?
Sweet is sleep at close of day!
Death is sleep.”

Spooky
do you remember lying on the ground
you were smart and spooky
we rented a car and left our bags
and drove outside the city
i remember the view
it was the stars and you
we thought that this was the one
both of our ships had come
when i went away you made me a book
full of goodnight letters
i answered each one
and we made plans
for when we'd be together
but when we wanted more
i told you i wasn't sure
it started a storm, it started a storm
you think it's all my fault
i think it's all your fault
that we were never so together, so together
everywhere we went, was everywhere we went
some people thought we were fighting
trying to read eachother's writing
how, how can you resurrect, straight into a wreck
how, how can you resurrect, straight into a wreck
