Disintegration
While pawns die in the front lines
And the rest wallow in Poverty,
The filthy rich just wine and dine
And barren Politics rape Liberty.
Dissolving the essence of family,
The high and the mighty fall prey
To the whims and caprices of many
Forsaking what the Truth may say.
Renaming what is obviously Sin
Labeling it merely a lifestyle,
When a prince bares all of his skin
They call it a party and smile.
As greedy Bankers count their Gold
Who cares if millions die of hunger?
Man has degraded, his soul is sold
Sadly, Humanity's sinking lower.
When foundations like these fall apart
What else can the righteous do?
As a parent with children, I'll do my part
I will pray to the God Who is True.

It Is Disgusting How Our Standards Are Being Degraded
Why didn't witnesses stop a gang rape?
Why are there shootings on our streets?
Why are there crimes committed for everyone to see?
Why is there homelessness and hunger?
Decadence and disrespect?
No discipline and racism.
And all of this marketed without end?
On TV screens and movie houses.
And video games sold and made for our children.
To entertain their temptations, whims and sins?
Who knows 'why' witnesses didn't stop a gang rape?
Maybe everyone wanted to get a shot at being on 'reality tv'.
OR...
Maybe they were fascinated by the idea of public sex!
You know how these kids can get?
Where do they get such values?
And it is disgusting how our standards are being degraded,
Isn't it?
'I for one,
Am deeply appalled! '
And 'all' have been deeply moved to apathy.
Which is the correct reflection of this society.

Smile--Smile--Smile
A smile is beautiful with all its charm
Something to give but does no harm
A smile is a frown only upside down
It has a good feeling, just look around
A smile is a flash that cannot be sold
It has everlasting pleasure we are told
A smile is like the sunshine at its very best
Some wear it all the time until they lay down to rest
A smile is valuable like silver and gold
But it cannot be bought just always on hold
A smile is nothing till someone gives it away
Just try your best to receive it some day
A smile is like a statue that enriches the mind
You cannot steal or throw away but not hard to find
A smile is for the rich also for the poor
The benefits are the same till there is no more
A smile is for everyone with its action so true
It creates happiness in the home for me and you
A smile is a smile as known to mankind
Stand up in front and smile not stand behind.

Meanstreak
Ive been to the left, Ive been to the right
Ive found myself in abudhabi, just a mirage in the night
Been to the high, Ive been to the low
And Ive been to lots of places that I didnt wanna go
But I aint see nothing to get me off my ass
And laughed at all the jokers wanting make me walk on glass
I could walk fore I could crawl
And I was meaner than a bad dog with his back against the wall
Animal, animal
Cannibal, cannibal
See em fall, see em fall
Im the guy that they call -
Meanstreak, I gotta meanstreak
Meanstreak, they call me meanstreak
I just dont know who I wanna be
The count of monte cristo or the sheik of arabia
Ive eaten rich, and Ive eaten free
Im the perfect culture vulture in the face of poverty
And I aint met no one who told me I got class
They say never feed the animal, the boys got too much flash
Im a guy they just cant teach
And I always kick the castle thats been built up on the beach
Animal, animal
Cannibal, cannibal
See em fall, see em fall
Im the guy that they call -
Whats your name?

On The Poverty Line
A mother and grandmother near the end of her life
To an unworthy fellow she was a good wife
Without provocation her he often did beat
But at least she feels happy she is not on the street
As a homeless person struggling for to make ends meet
Without a roof over her head and with little to eat
And though she cannot afford to go out for to wine and to dine
She feels happy to live on the poverty line.
The hard life has left her with lines on her face
But poverty she is happy to embrace
One of the people by society forgot
But she is not one to complain of her lot.
For millions and millions life is so unfair
And so many more like her in the big World out there
For millions a huge struggle just to get by
For success they no longer bother to try.
Her ex husband left her for a younger woman a decade ago
She is better without him that much she does know
She took his abuse and his every blow
But any bitterness towards him she never does show.
She lives as a good person and spiritually pure
But she does not know how it feels to live as financially secure
She never eats out never tasted good wine
The one who exists on the poverty line.

Depression
I do not need cares and woes.
I don't need any of those.
They bring you down.
You wear a frown
and lines show on your face.
These lines you can't erase.
They are there so you can remember
as you count them all.
They only appear from depression
from into which you fall.
I do not need cares and woes
but sometimes that's how life goes.

The Poet Still Cries
In a maze, void of direction,
I grope vainly, aiming for conclusion,
I see much, yet all is delusion,
The walls craze me, absent of solution.
I tirelessly persevere, going ahead,
But the end is not near, I feel dread,
I pray, but He can't hear, I am mislead,
Man is overcome by fear, my hope is dead.
I bear all, I seek redemption,
The martyr will fall, only for resurrection,
He will hear my call, and forgive my rebellion,
I gaze at the hall, embracing the deception.
I hunger, my feet grow weary,
I thirst for more, humanity breathes barely,
I resent Her, and alienate reality,
I despise the Whore, and curse this mediocrity.
She leers at my weakness, sneering with apathy,
Her appetite is craven, lusting after the sensibility,
She lives off of crushed love, on broken liberty,
Her crown of despair, rules entirety bleakly.
Yet I know she fears, she envies humanity,
She knows the truth, in us lies Beauty,
She trembles unwittingly, recognizing her futility,
She clings to delusion, denying her impunity.
For mankind has sadly embraced this fate,
The potential of indecision too much to take,
So they now wallow in jealousy and self-hate,
Abandoning compassion for an illusion's sake.
They embrace reason, mindlessly craving an absolute,
In a universe of detachment, they stifle the music of the flute,
They ignore their identity, placing their hearts on mute,
They betray their muses, trading them for servitude.
But from I, the silent sounds of subjectivity will still rise,
The human soul will forever remember through my eyes,
How you sacrificed beauty in exchange for lies,
And why oh why the poet still cries.

How I Have Lived And Thrived In My Parent's Nice Front Yards
how i have lived and thrived in my parent's front yard
handed to us through generations,
i call it luck
inheritance of comforts and style
but soon
i get tired and i have become one
meaningless arrogance
away from everyone, so i have decided to go somewhere
in the lines of my poetry
now in poverty of spirit
with so much humility
i offer some lines on some meter and forms of
repentance,
i'll go away, take the exit doors of this luxury
and try to see the backyards
of everything i have not seen i have not gone to
i see some tattered clothes
of tenancies, i feel their tremblings
in hunger, i hear the gnashing of their teeth,
i feel the shaking of their feet,
i think of what they have been conceiving
all these years
i have talked to them
in their hunger
to compensate for their lack
they will teach me about their revolution
i will hear them
in this backyard
i will join them
my ancestors will cry and disown me
i will give them rebirth
create them a new name
time shall judge, who wins?

Sullied
She plunges into the hot water
and begins to scrub. Brush and
soap on skin. She wants him off
and out of her. Undo him from her.
Unkiss his kisses, untouch his touches.
She breathes in. She reeks, stinks
of him. He seems to have penetrated
every orifice on her body. She pushes
herself under the water, holds herself
there, opens her eyes even the sting
brings no purification. She sits up and
holds the sides of the bath. Calm down
she tells her shaking hands and legs
but they disobey and carry on like
disobedient children in play. She tries
to think of other things. Think of
somewhere nice, some time once
enjoyed, some pleasure once had,
sipping of the best wine, greedy
eating of caviar or grape. But no.
Everything is focused on him and
the rape. She rubs and scrubs until
she's red and raw. Stop stop her
inner voice screams. Nothing is
what it seems. He pushes his way
even into her every thought now.
He seeps into every pore. The water
fails to clean. She sits there naked,
undone, brush in hand, hair in a mess.
This is not real she says, but knows
it is, she in the bath, wet, raw, sore
and sullied. Yes that's a word mother
would have used: sullied. Tainted,
tarnished, degraded or as Mother
would have said: dishonoured. She
focuses on each aspect of her flesh
as if seen for the first time. What
you focus on is your reality. Who said
that? Does it matter now? Dostoevsky?
The Idiot, that book. Who cares who
said what. The water is no longer hot.
He is still on skin and in orifice in spite
of the rubs and scrubs and tears and curses.
No longer the innocent, no more the
sipping of wine or eating of grape.
Just him and memory of the rape.

Liberty Ball
Come all ye true friends of the nation,
Attend to humanity’s call;
Come aid the poor slave’s liberation,
And roll on the liberty ball —
And roll on the liberty ball —
Come aid the poor slave’s liberation,
And roll on the liberty ball.
The Liberty hosts are advancing —
For freedom to all they declare;
The down-trodden millions are sighing—
Come, break up our gloom of despair.
Come break up our gloom of despair, &c.
Y Democrats, coma to the rescue,
And aid on the liberty cause,
And millions will rise up and bless you,
With heart-cheering songs of applause,
With heart-cheering songs, &c
Ye Whigs, forsake slavery’s minions,
And boldly step into our ranks;
‘We care not for party opinions,
But invite all he friends of the banks,—
And invite all the friends of the banks, &c.
And when we have formed the blest union
We’ll firmly march on, one and alt—
We’ll sing when we meet in communion,
And roll on the liberty bill,
And roll on the liberty ball, &c.

Earthly Reflections
We've over farmed the Sacred Earth.
Sold her beauty to the highest bidder.
Traded Her future for what?
We've almost left her barren.
The sucking sound of greed,
Consuming her very soul.
But its only a matter of time,
Until she will again be whole
We've over farmed the money tree too.
The value of exchange once a sacred bit of bread.
Or warmth to heal the family.
Or the wool from which to spin our thread.
Life sustaining items of meaning.
Have been perverted into,
Something meaningless.
Home is where the heart is.
Not for speculation.
The impersonal zeros,
Dancing on the balance sheet,
Can never bring us back
To that place.
Where humanity will,
Once again meet,
In humanity to one another.
Homes standing empty.
With little children living
Homeless by the river,
Of poverty. They must be freed.
We must cure these symptoms
Of this disease called greed.

Liberty
liberty
does not come in classes,
genders, colors, or creeds...
cannot be bought,
or sold,
bartered, or pawned.
cannot ever be for the few
at the expense of the many!
is not a political issue,
or a budget cut,
or a 'war against terror'!
liberty begins within
the human heart,
is joined from soul to soul
with both sameness and difference.
one person's liberty is dependant
upon the liberty of those
around him... liberty is responsible!
liberty, once realized,
can never be destroyed
- not even by death!
liberty is the gift born in giving,
the torch lit by compassion,
the actions of unity,
the working prayer of humanity,
the dignity of man!

When The Angels Fall
So high above the world tonight
The angels watch us sleeping
And underneath a bridge of stars
We dream in safetys keeping
But perhaps the dream
Is dreaming us
Soaring with the seagulls
Perhaps the dream
Is dreaming us
Astride on the backs of eagles
When the angels fall
Shadows on the wall
In the thunders call
Something haunts us all
When the angels fall
When the angels fall
Take your fathers cross
Gently from the wall
A shadow still remaining
See the churches fall
In mighty arcs of sound
And all that theyre containing
Yet all the rugged souls
Looking for their lost homes
Shuffle to the ruins
From the levelled plain
To search among the tombstones
When the angels fall
Shadows on the wall
In the thunders call
Something haunts us all
When the angels fall
When the angels fall
When the angels fall
These are my feet
These are my hands
These are my children
And this is my demand
Bring down the angels
Cast them from my sight
I never want to see
A million suns at midnight
Your hands are empty
The streets are empty
You cant control us
You cant control us anymore
When the angels fall when the angels fall
When the angels fall when the angels fall
When the angels fall when the angels fall

High And Mighty
Intro:
He is high and mighty
He is high and mighty
He is there and ever waiting
Reaching out to you and me
1st chorus:
He is high and mighty
Oh, mighty is his power
Mighty is his love
He is high and mighty
He is there with the answers
Let us lift him up
God loves you, did you know that?
Ain't it good to know he cares
If you're burdened down with troubles
Just go to him in prayer
Say god, i'm just a seeker
I'm empty, scared and lost
Then lay your burdens down
At the foot of the cross
He said ye shall know the truth
And the truth shall set you free
He will guide and lead you
And fulfill every need
Nothing is impossible
If you have faith enough
So if you've lost direction
Stop and just look up
2nd chorus:
'cause he is high and mighty
Ooh, mighty is his power, mighty is his love
He is high and mighty
He is life everlasting
Let us lift him up
Interlude:
High and mighty
He is high and mighty
I believe, i do believe
That his love has set me free
I believe, i believe, i believe
3rd chorus:
He is high and mighty
Oh, mighty is his power, mighty is his love
He is high and he's mighty
It's a wonderful feeling
Let us lift him up
He said if i be lifted up
He said if i be lifted up
What did he say?
He said if i be lifted up
I'll draw all the men unto me
Let's lift him higher, higher
Higher and higher each day
Let's lift him up
'cause he is high and he's mighty
And he has washed my sins away
'cause he's high and he's mighty

Sins Of The Father
Once upon a time
And not so long ago
When things were much more simple
And time would travel slow
There came a righteous stranger
With a bible in his hand
To educate the sinners
And liberate their land
CHORUS
The sins of the fathers
Are visited from old
In a never ending circle
Of people bought & sold
So the wretched of the earth
Will huddle from the cold
As the ship of fools goes sailing
On an ocean black as gold
So come & sit beside me
And let my tale unfold
Of a land of milk & honey
Where the truth must not be told
As men of rhyme & reason
Let the devil take their soul
For greed & fame & fortune
And a river black as gold
CHORUS
And all the non-believers
Were hiding from the light
As a thousand burning crosses
Were scattered in the night
The thieves & the vagabonds
Were sinking in the sand
As the righteous lord & master
Stretches out a helping hand
CHORUS
And those who had to suffer
The sick, the young, the old
Were sacrificed to fortune
And left out in the cold
So in this new arrangement
The leaders sold their soul
For bangles, beads & baubles
And a river black as gold
CHORUS

When The Wind Blows
When the wind blows, many leaves will fall.
In my mind i see,
When the wind blows, many leaves will fall.
This is an emergency.
In a part of this once-great city
Stands a child crying out in pity.
Gone is hope in the heart of each hungry hour.
Every year in this land of plenty
There are millions of starving children
What will i say if they look my way?
This is an emergency.
When the wind blows, many leaves will fall.
In my mind i see,
When the wind blows, many leaves will fall.
This is an emergency.
Bow your heads to the lost generation
Scars so deep, bringing god's damnation.
Businessmen sip wine while congress argue.
But for grace we enjoy our pleasures
What we face will be our salvation
Go build your towns, but remember time will not forget
That this is an emergency.
When the wind blows, many leaves will fall.
When the wind blows, many leaves will fall.
This is an emergency.
Think of what the wise men said.
When the wind blows, many leaves will fall.
In my mind i see,
When the wind blows, many leaves will fall.
In my mind i see,
When the wind blows, many leaves will fall.
This is an emergency.

Reasons For Destruction
Religious warlords to keep us in line.
Dogmatic armies to worship the shrine.
Fanatical leaders across the earth,
Religious wars for us all to curse.
To do and obey to their every need,
With open arms we fall foul to their greed.
One God one Master, we do and obet.
Non-believers slaughtered in the wake of decay.
The church for sinners, their darkest hour.
Holy men preaching holy lies.
Too blind to see the Mighty one's smile,
Who cares if we live or die.
To do and obey...
Flies in a web we fall prey to them all.
God the redeemer the ultimate power,
Dogs to their masters, we answer their call.
Your money not your soul, that's their desire.
To do and obey...
Ain't no reason
Ain't no reason
Ain't no reasons for destruction.
Just done, under blind instruction.
Ain;t no, reasons for destruction.
Just done, under blind instruction.

On The Day
You really need someone on your side
But you run away and hide
Whenever somebodys going to get through
Youve got this wall in front of you
You put your arm around me and smile
But youre thinking all the while
Yeah, your friends only go so far
However close friends think they are
On the day
On the day you fall in love
Gonna pray
Youre gonna pray that your love is enough
Youve had the world in the palm of your hand
Since you turned from child to man
No one can tell you a thing you dont know
You see your life as a one man show
But youre not whole
There are things you dont control
Youre going to know what Im talking about
On the day love finds you out
On the day
On the day you fall in love
Gonna pray
You better pray--
Its your life, you try to know
Which way the answers lie, which way to go
cause you survive, dont mean you grow
Open your eyes, look out below
Look out--
On the day
On the day you fall in love
Gonna pray
You better pray
On the day
On the day you fall in love
Gonna pray
You better pray
