Imbalance

Screaming moments crept in, dark and stoic
Drum-beats thud incessant; my sanity bared
Wandering memories, homeless gypsies
No let, no give, spiraling down strange abysses

Lies and pretenses, they all stand winners
Witnesses around the pyre that lay down innocence
Circling scavengers, their circles, wider and wider
As the prey grow smaller, a pinpoint in focus

My mind cleaved; they want it gutted nevertheless
Tossing sleepless, and stealth knives waiting
Let me sleep, let me live, cried a silent night
And, love too, handicapped, waits with the rest

The stench of deceit is all around, too strong
Everywhere, on every moon-locked day that dawns
Some truths cant take the daylight that tends life
And some lives cant take the darkness that bear them…

A River For Him

(emmylou harris)
I crossed on the river
Therell be no returning
I crossed all the bridges
I watched them all burning
And now Im a stranger
To a strange land Im driven
Where all is forgotten
And nothings forgiven
But I cried a river
A river for him
Thats deeper and wider
Than Ill ever swim
The heart it will harden
The sorrow will dim
But I cried a river
A river for him
I think of him now
On the road I am taking
And wonder how long
His heart will be breaking
But hell never hear when
The teardrops are falling
Or the sound of my voice
And the name Im calling
But I cried a river
A river for him
Thats deeper and wider
Than Ill ever swim
The heart it will harden
The sorrow will dim
But I cried a river
A river for him
So sweep for the sons
And the dear darling daughters
For the passing of time
And the parting of waters
For all who have passed through
This world long before me
To a far distant shore line
Where no one waits for me
But I cried a river
A river for him
Thats deeper and wider
Than Ill ever swim
The heart it will harden
The sorrow will dim
But I cried a river
A river for him

Winners Take All

Life's been good
Life's been bad
Now I know
What I had
Has taken it's toll on me
Yes we give
And we take
What we get
Is what we make
Believe that dreams come true
Life is crazy
We're not fools, no, no
The price is high
When you keep the score
Take your souls
And your goals
To the top
Together we stand
We won't take no more
Cause we're winners
And winners take all
Together we stand
We won't take no more
Cause we're winners
And winners take all
We have loved
Burned by fate
But for once
Set the record straight
Time does heal all wounds
You have laughed
We have cried
Paid our dues
Yes we're turned the tide
Mistakes are far and few
We need no guidance
Our aim is true
Down the road
There were many tolls
But we know
Cause we've grown
What we need
Together we stand
We won't take no more
Cause we're winners
And winners take all
Together we stand
We won't take no more
Cause we're winners
And winners take all
The price is high
When you keep the score
Take your souls
And your goals
To the top
Together we stand
We won't take no more
Cause we're winners
And winners take all
Together we stand
We won't take no more
Cause we're winners
And winners take all

Mandolin

Oh Mandolin, oh mandolin
Waiting in the dark
Centuries passed down upon
Your smooth Venetian skin
Memories oh memories
Lay stains upon your heart
When lovers dance into the trance
You weaved by candlelight
Oh I saw a sunrise like never before
As mandolin played I cried for more.
Oh Mandolin, oh mandolin
Waiting in the dark
Centuries passed down upon
Your smooth Venetian skin
Incessant sound, incessant sound
That stirs the young and pure
Incestuous I kiss my hand
And play the calling drum.
The lover cried into the silk
Many years ago
Your voice laid comfort down upon
His European skin.
Oh I saw a sunrise like never before
As mandolin played I cried for more.
Oh I saw a sunrise like never before
As mandolin played I cried for more.
Oh I saw a runrise likenever before
As mandolin played I cried for more
Oh Mandolin, oh mandolin
Waiting in the dark
Centuries passed down upon
Your smooth Venetian skin.

The Spectrum

HOW many colors here do we see set,
Like rings upon God’s finger? Some say three,
Some four, some six, some seven. All agree
To left of red, to right of violet,
Waits darkness deep as night and black as jet.

And so we know what Noah saw we see,
Nor less nor more—of God’s emblazonry
A shred—a sign of glory known not yet.
If red can glide to yellow, green to blue,
What joys may yet await our wider eyes
When we rewake upon a wider shore!
What deep pulsations, exquisite and new!
What keener, swifter raptures may surprise
Men born to see the rainbow and no more!

What Is Pain

What is pain but rejoice leading towards death, we live our lives, some good, some bad, troubled times, and untroubled past, we live and love, we love and live, but for some of us, we may live to love, but we dont love to live, some of us, misjudged by fate, unrightly charged, unrightful hate, some of us, we flow with time, some of us, we get bound by it, some of us we live life to its fullest, the rest of us, live life to its darkest... few of us survive, thrust into darkness we live, never to see light again, not because we hate the light, but because the light hates us, with few of us remaining, were forced to live on.... but some of us that remain, wish to die on, we live in this place, shadowed from light, in our dark shells we are safe, but sometimes someone dares to pierce us with their light, for moments we rejoice in the love of the warmth, but moments later the truth is revieled, always given a taste of the light, but never able to swallow, never able to keep it inside, we weep with the darkness, cast out by the light, we hate the light... for it pierces our night....

As Dark as Night

No object can be as dark as nights
You can’t deny even if you are right
It has special mention with significance
Not matter how much you dislike but has got some relevance

They are all torturous when icy winds blow
You sleep on bed but only thoughts flow
This makes you restless until you are slept
But till then you are awake and silently kept

Even single insect makes its presence known
I wish to have peace and rest in my own
I can’t have it as mind is rushed to another land
Where only stupid live without any end

I make no move and stare at roof
‘I am in love” yes/no but needs some proof
I think it may take some more sleepless nights
When I will able to make it right

I no not when it will be over
I will have to take refuge or cover
Night may not pass that easily to give me comfort
But something ahs to be done to anchor the ship at port

I am in tight position
I feel it is good and nice composition
I glance at moon and take some solace
I must have some coolness on face

Some of the things can be enjoyed only at night
When there is no noise or nobody remains in sight
It gives sense of belonging in isolation
It revives all memories to strengthen the relation

Soon I may be woken up by day light
I will have no remorse for sleepless night
The day may start with new crusade
Sweet memories may not that easily fade

It is good to have close association with darkness
Certain things only can lighten your face
How come you know when other side remains unknown?
Happiness is enjoyed when you are sometimes forced down

Beyond The Daylight Reaches

Beyond the daylight reaches,
near the back roads of the mind.
Love lies waiting there
for some lucky person,
to pluck it from the air.
Memories of old loves
linger somewhere back there,
waiting to be rekindled,
like a dying candle flame.

Beyond the daylight reaches,
near the back roads of the mind.
The world’s great treasure
waits for someone to find.
The treasure of love,
one that will last forever.
The dream without ending,
all seek, but very few
ever get there to find.

A few will take the trouble,
and keep the desire warm
at the upper most of the mind.
Travelling down this dangerous road
that stretched out beyond the daylight reaches,
near the backs roads of the mind.
Seeking the ultimate prize,
they could ever hope to find.

At Deaths Door

When they have a short time to live
And you’ve given all you can give.
When there s nothing more you can do.
Then you make the last days of their lives
Seem like it’s been paradise.

Show all the love that you’ve had locked up inside
This is something that you should not hide.
Bring up happy memories of times
gone by, and of moments shared.
These are things in their mind that last.

Make their lives as comfortable as can be
For this is the last thing that they will see.
For some it is not easy to pass to the other side
Because fear makes them blind.
But it is a place of love and light
They will not see the darkness of night.

Don’t show your love when they are dead
Show your love while they’re lying in that bed.
They need to be loved while they’re here on earth
This is what we crave from our birth.

If the brain still functions on its own
Then so does the heart.
And from you they do not wish to part.
They are thinking the same as you
When they’re gone, what are you going to do.

Any bills that may be left behind
On your shoulders they will climb.
these same thoughts may race through
Your head, and it’s something that you both do dread.

But these are the first thoughts that
Should be put into that grave
Give them happy memories that they can save.
Let them go to the other side comfortably
And on their face- that smile you’ll see.

We’ll all be going to that other side
And will need someone to welcome us there
And the love that you showed on earth
Will now be shared.

Photograph

Fear falls out like rain again
Washing over me
You say nothing will ever change
What do I believe
You fall deep inside again
There's nothing left to see
Weakness fills your heart again
You put it to rest
Hoping everything
You were never strong enough
Close my eyes again
Pray that I will not give up
I try to see your face again
A photograph of me
Your voice calling out again
Nothing left for me
You try to find your place again
Waiting just to breathe
Weakness takes your heart again
You put it to rest
Locked inside again
Locked inside again
Locked inside again
Hoping everything
You were never strong enough
Close my eyes again
Pray that I will not give up
Hoping everything
You were never strong enough
Close my eyes again
Pray that I will not give up
Did you
Forget about the things I said
Right the lies inside your head
I never tried to bring you down
Kill the pain and emptiness
Find your love and lose yourself
Well I hope that your just a memory
Locked inside again
Locked inside again
Locked inside again
Holding everything
You were never strong enough
Close my eyes again
Pray that I will not give up
Hoping everything
You were never strong enough
Close my eyes again
Pray that I will not give up

0213 Late Night Reverie

One in three of us, the stats say, lives alone. Sad;
but fine if you prefer it that way.

It's late at night. You're alone. The PC off at last. The TV off.
Finally you put aside the book you're reading. The attention's drifting.
Too late too, for reading in bed. You should just
get up from the chair, switch off the light,
etc. But you don't. You just sit there. This
is one of life's great private joys. Far better than
all the bathroom stuff, the almost idiot moments
of waiting for sleep, knowing you'll never catch the moment
when sleep takes you; and the more you try, like a child,
to catch it, haha got you, the longer it will be before - zap - zzz.

So you sit there, drifting into a glorious haze of irresponsibility
as the thoughts fade, the cares fade, you're just two thoughts away
or perhaps two non-thoughts away, from something like bliss,
and this peace doesn't dwindle you - there's an expansion
as if 'someone' doesn't become no-one, but everyone...
and there comes to mind, curiously, those greatest moments in the
greatest films, when there they are, looking out over Paris or Algiers
or wherever, with the soundtrack playing, hardly there but there,
and nothing is said, but the whole cinema audience of hundreds
is silent, focussed, feeling in those seconds of emotion and stillness
that everything real, everything wished for, everything that matters
is there. In full.
Or in the theatre - sitting there, hundreds of you, weeping silent tears
that even those stoic Romans found a phrase for, lacrymae rerum,
the tears of things: you all know, she won't take that first step
out of herself, he won't try for that job he knows he's wanted
all his life; they'll never go to the Moscow of their dreams...yet...

It's like that for you in your armchair.
The key to all of life is there, out of reach perhaps, yet
known, not out of reach... beyond sadness, beyond happiness
in a strange way. It just... is as it is. And that's OK.

Better than just going to bed. Yes, it's a good time.
Sleep well.

Recollections of a Dreamland

Rouse ye! torpid daylight-dreamers, cast your carking cares away!
As calm air to troubled water, so my night is to your day;
All the dreary day you labour, groping after common sense,
And your eyes ye will not open on the night's magnificence.
Ye would scow were I to tell you how a guiding radiance gleams
On the outer world of action from my inner world of dreams.

When, with mind released from study, late I lay note down to sleep,
From the midst of facts and figures, into boundless space I leap;
For the inner world grows wider as the outer disappears,
And the soul, retiring inward, finds itself beyond the spheres.
Then, to this unbroken sameness, some fantastic dream succeeds,
Vague emotions rise and ripen into thoughts and words and deeds.
Old impressions, long forgotten, range themselves in Time and Space,
Till I recollect the features of some once familiar place.
Then from valley into valley in my dreaming course I roam,
Till the wanderings of my fancy end, where they began, at home.
Calm it lies in morning twilight, while each streamlet far and wide
Still retains its hazy mantle, borrowed from the mountain's side;
Every knoll is now an island every wooded bank a shore,
To the lake of quiet vapour that has spread the valley o’er.
Sheep are couched on every hillock, waiting till the morning dawns,
Hares are on their early rambles, limping o’er the dewy lawns.
All within the house is silent, darkened all the chambers seem,
As with noiseless step I enter, gliding onwards in my dream.

What! has Time run out his cycle, do the years return again?
Are there treasure-caves in Dreamland where departed days remain?
I have leapt the bars of distance—left the life that late I led—
I remember years and labours as a tale that I have read;
Yet my heart is hot within me, for I feel the gentle power
Of the spirits that still love me, waiting for this sacred hour.
Yes,—I know the forms that meet me are but phantoms of the brain,
For they walk in mortal bodies, and they have not ceased from pain.
Oh! those signs of human weakness, left behind for ever now,
Dearer far to me than glories round a fancied seraph's brow.
Oh! the old familiar voices ! Oh! the patient waiting eyes!
Let me live with them in dreamland, while the world in slumber lies!
For by bonds of sacred honour will they guard my soul in sleep
From the spells of aimless fancies, that around my senses creep.
They will link the past and present into one continuous life,
While I feel their hope, their patience, nerve me for the daily strife.
For it is not all a fancy that our lives and theirs are one,
And we know that all we see is but an endless work begun.
Part is left in Nature's keeping, part is entered into rest,
Part remains to grow and ripen, hidden in some living breast.
What is ours we know not, either when we wake or when we sleep,
But we know that Love and Honour, day and night, are ours to keep.
What though Dreams be wandering fancies, by some lawless force entwined,
Empty bubbles, floating upwards through the current of the mind?
There are powers and thoughts within us, that we know not, till they rise
Through the stream of conscious action from where Self in secret lies.
But when Will and Sense are silent, by the thoughts that come and go,
We may trace the rocks and eddies in the hidden depths below.

Let me dream my dream till morning; let my mind run slow and clear,
Free from all the world's distraction, feeling that the Dead are near,
Let me wake, and see my duty lie before me straight and plain.
Let me rise refreshed, and ready to begin my work again.

Night, Nights Sleepless

Night, nights sleepless eyes wide
sleep comes as disguise
Thou you asked love to
lend some happiness
fate has gifted you
sadness for life

Night, nights sleepless eyes wide
sleep comes as disguise
all boats are gone
and flooded away
your loved ones pierced
you with dagger of lies

Night, nights sleepless eyes wide
sleep comes as disguise
now why are you smiling
whilst bleeding tears
your sun is set
before even rise

Night, nights sleepless eyes wide
sleep comes as disguise
there was just a hope
on a peck of straw
alas! it is also burnt
now ashes doth lies

Night, nights sleepless eyes wide
sleep comes as disguise

Sleepless Night

Sleepless night
The moon is bright
All Im asking for is
Three minute love
Legs
What am I going to do with my legs
Theyre so hot
They wont stay on the cot
And theyre screaming!
Sleepless night
The moon is bright
All Im asking for is
Three minute love
Head
What am I going to do with my head
Its so light
It just gives me the fright
Its full of champagne and dreams
Sleepless night
All um umm
All Im asking for is
Three minute love
This brush must sell like crazy
I mean theres a lot of lonely people out there
I wanna go to the ball
I wanna give it all
Ill take it all
Sleepless night
All Im asking for is...
What am I asking for?

Lifes So Strange

Cold black coffee
Incessant stream of cars
Cigarette ash lies sprinkled like a fistful of grey stars
Yesterday it rained silver rainbows on the ground
Today the rains just water
It wont stop from falling down
I grow weary waiting for my muse
But in between the times she comes
I still have to tie my shoes
And get on with my day
There are mornings when Im more vigorous
And there are days I have to take the bus
Lifes so rich
Lifes so empty
Secret rendezvous
Long distance from a phone booth
Like two players in a mystery straight out of our youth
Well Im finding that dramatics have lost their old appeal
I play the part of stoic lover but Im not sure how I feel
I get discouraged waiting for the world
To understand this love affair
To understand the girl
There are moments when amelias right beside me
The next thing I know
I taste the salt of the sea
Lifes so rich
Lifes so empty
Cold black coffee
Incessant stream of cars
Cigarette ash lies sprinkled like a fistful of grey stars
Yesterday it rained silver rainbows on the ground
Today the rains just water
It wont stop from falling down

Until Now (I Love You)

You came into my life
when i was so young
you witnessed my growing up
shared my innocence
i love you without pretense.

You occupied my mind
you conquered my heart
every second, every minute
every hour, everyday of my life
i am with you, you are with me
together we spend night and day.

I can not leave you, i know
you color my world, you completed my life.
they may call me a fool,
but you are a part of me,
and together we will always be.

We cried together when i felt so lonely
you smile with me when i am happy
you bear with me in my sleepless nights
and dream with you in our own plight
together we faced the joy and sorrow
and promised to build our bright tomorrow.

I cherish those moments i spent with you
the laughter and tears we shared together
life without you is meaningless and bitter
no one can ever take you away from me
we'll die in each others arms and our memory
i have loved you and...
until now I LOVE YOU...my dear POETRY!

That Age Is Gone

Seemingly with nary an end, your mind's strife rages on-
I once believed you my soul's mate-that age is gone! !
Victimized: by your lies, thievery and acts, condemnable-
What you have done to yourself and others, abominable!

How could you, from sanity, so far, stray?
You became another: Jeckyll to your Hyde, Night to your Day-
Because of what you did, upon and since that fateful day,
I bear a scar no one may see, yet shall ne'er go away!

Soon, the reality of your deceit shall hit you, though far too late-
The entire time, you have and shall be the maker of your own fate!
I shall not bear a burden any further than today-
I am but a Father, first and foremost-come what may;
The same lies that removed me from their lives over 2 years ago
Shall be revealed, turned upon you and set your fears aglow!

Looking Forward to Death

Give me your cloak!
Give it to me!
Give me your poison anniversary.
Now load me up with all you know and love,
Give me the tears below
And the abyss above.

Come shake my hand,
You can lather mine
With the eerie stench of another time.
Take my torment
And cut it down to size,
Now push these pieces
Into someone else's eyes.

Release me
But don't wave goodbye,
You will see me again
In the velvet sky.
Reverse my name and swallow it whole,
Let the screaming spectre
Leave my troubled soul.

Behind the silent screams of obscurity
Lies a hollow but strong belief,
Of a better life, one that I cannot find
So I'll leave for someone else to recognise.

Dawn

O tender first cold flush of rose,
O budded dawn, wake dreamily ;
Your dim lips as your lids unclose
Murmur your own sad threnody.
0 as the soft and frail lights break
Upon your eyelids, and your eyes
Wider and wider grow and wake,
The old pale glory dies.

And then, as sleep lies down to sleep
And all her dreams lie somewhere dead,
The iron shepherd leads his sheep
To pastures parched whose green is shed.
Still, 0 frail dawn, still in your hair
And your cold eyes and sad sweet lips,
The ghosts of all the dreams are them,
To fade like passing ships.

Of Lies and Deceit

Words that break down
Life changing decisions
Haunting daily
A life on hold

Why the truth untold
For whose benefit?
Who decided?
But life continues
With memories haunting
When sleep won't come
And early rays of the sun appear
So the memories fade they say

More lies
For one learns to live
With these memories
Of lies and deceit
